Opinion: Today Besigye said his word

“Detained four-time presidential candidate, Dr, Kizza Besigye has again endorsed NUP party leader Robert Kyagulanyi ahead of the general polls next week. Along with a message delivered through his wife Winnie Byanyima, Besigye has also made a cash contribution to the opposition National Unity Platform presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi, to help push him through the last campaign days. Last year, Besigye and co-accused Obed Lutaale declined to take a plea on the treason charges levelled against them, and were returned to Luzira prison, where they have been for close to a year” (NTV Uganda, 11.01.2026).

Today as the Sunday Service was held at Dr. Kizza Besigye’s residence in Kasangati, Wakiso district. The endorsement and financial contribution was given to the National Unity Platform Presidential Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine. That message should be spread far and wide.

This could have been played out differently, the parties could have been disengaged or even fought for the same crowds. Alas, that’s not the case. Bobi Wine has supported Besigye in the past and been a vocal supporter of his cause. Now Besigye is paying him and giving him the mantle. That’s the gist of things. As Besigye is suffering in prisoner, as a prisoner of conscience. His still swinging his pendulum and showing people the way.

That’s really inspiring and showing there is still hope. The older statesman and the one who fought before on the campaign trail. His telling, look at him and his the beacon of hope now. That’s what Besigye is doing. Not that Bobi Wine is perfect, neither is Besigye. However, someone has to push and be on the barricades to bring forward a Republic without a military dictatorship. Which has resided over it since 1986. Therefore, Besigye is righteous and the courageous from prison to vouch for Bobi Wine.

The polls are just mere days ahead and the seals are already breached on the ballot boxes. There is already shady actions being made by the state agents and other involved. Just to ensure and secure the Presidency will be for the incumbent and for the Mr. 1986. That’s what we all know and this is inevitable. Not like the Electoral Commission will change or the NRM will change either. There is to much at stake and it wouldn’t dare to entrust anyone else with the instruments of the state. As they know how they could retaliate or even avenge them for their crimes. Alas, that’s why they are doing whatever they can to be in power and don’t mind extra judicial killing to be there too.

Still with that in mind. Today is a huge day and shows the resilience of the opposition. That Besigye can give his word and endorse Bobi Wine too. This just shows the unity and the ability of the incarcerated to read the room. Peace.

Opinion: Torching Greenland would be the end of NATO

If the Trump regime in their haste for global supremacy and megalomania goes overboard, which it seems by the day. As the ideals of conquest and control of the Western Hemisphere. Well, then they can say bye-bye to the World Order that was created post World-War II. That’s what will go down and there will be no tears shed by plenty of us. As the bygones will be bygones and the ill will of United States of America won’t be forgotten.

This is taking the Western Allies for granted, allowing the supposed super-power free reign and taking territories from supposed allies. That’s the gist of things. This isn’t even fire against an enemy or someone whose seen as stranger. No, this is an attack on territories belonging to the Kingdom of Denmark and NATO member state. Meaning, this could turn the NATO upside down and make everyone on the European side turn against the United States of America. The one that has been beacon of power and prestige within the alliance. However, those days are apparently gone.

The U.S. and the AmeriKKKA has gone rouge. The America First and the MAGA is totally oblivious to international law and such. They can use rhetoric reminding of the Russian Federation ahead of invasion Ukraine. Save Greenland from Chinese and Russian annexation. Like these states have even thought of it. Russia is busy trying to reach Kyiv and China would need to find a good excuse to invade and annex Taiwan when the moment appears. That would possibly be when the U.S. takeover Greenland and starts a direct conflict against European allies. European allies who deems this as unproved attack on their sovereign and sovereignty. It’s like the U.S. doesn’t want the French, British or Scandinavian allies anymore. They rather be snuggling and snickering with Kremlin counterparts. Maybe that’s why U.S. has been voting in the same way as Russia in the UN of late too.

Seriously, the U.S. aren’t only isolating itself, but vilifying itself. They won’t have proper friends or allies to come to its aide. When they are targeting the greater north and the Arctic circles. Even Canada will stand up to its neighbour and defend Greenland. We know the U.S. President believes Canada should be a state within this realm. However, the Canadians won’t back down and they have already started with boycott of American products and taking their vacations elsewhere then Florida or whatnot.

We know the U.S. President is also dreaming of bombing Mexico too. Just like he has to mock and target his neighbours with spite. In that sense that his justified in doing so. He got embolden by the actions in Venezuela and now he thinks he can get away with anything. However, every actions has consequences and sooner or later the reality will hit home. The snake-oil salesman and the Tesla selling President cannot bargain himself out that.

No, if they aim at Greenland.

Well, there won’t be any return from it. Just like the Wehermacht invaded and annexed Poland. The same will be final straw for the U.S. and it will be reason to declare war. Which is tragic, but that’s what is going on. That will be end of the hegemony between Europe and the U.S.. The brutal ending of a peaceful era between the continents and it is all happening because of ice-cold corporate dreams of Washington D.C.. That’s it…. just cold currency and speculation, which is bound by greed. This is what will cause it and the rift will be an open wound for decades. There will be no love lost, but only lack of trust. The U.S. won’t be counted on or considered. Only a former super-power turned villain. The one that dared to challenged the world and became Kremlin’s puppet. Which is tragic, but that’s where we are and the world keep spinning. Peace.
