Ethiopia: The Prosperity Party plans a selective recruitment process…

The Prosperity Party have launched their strategies ahead. It is an insightful prospect in the months ahead. As the ruling regime have a three month scope ahead, which was released the Finfinne Intercept.

The PP are intending to invite the ministers, state ministers, commissioners and directors. Who are yet to become members of the party. They are also planning recruitment of scholars and those who are primly qualified for senior management. The party plans to have people from all zones, districts (woreda) and wards (kebele).

They are not planning to get the visionaries, but only the people who will follow the future and realize the national prosperity. Where the party is avoiding getting the resilient ones who want to change the world order. That follows the party program and constitution, but not the ones whose willing to chance to change it.

The PP continues that they don’t want to recruit people from the primly ideologically biased from the 60 generations of the oppressed. Where there will be an independent training of the recruits and paper, which will be developed by the Office of Prosperity.

This shows that the PP plans to have the ones that are only working for their cause and not the voices of dissident. The PP doesn’t want the ones whose oppressed. The party doesn’t want the writers and scholars who stand for the oppressed.

The PP is afraid of the educated and the scholars, who becomes members and would expose their misdeeds. For the oppressed and the ones who will tell. The PP just want members who are blind followers and who follows protocol.

This is all clearly another method of the party to ensure they have no dissent. Another step showing the rebranding of PP and the whole government of Prime Minister Ahmed Ali Abiy.

We can take that as a sign of the leadership, as the PP has a significant plan for their recruitment. If this is how its going forward. It is a clear warning of how they will behave and as a one-party state. It is evident that dissidents will suffer and the party will shield the oppression.

That is the sort of behaviour, which is clearly a thing now. I’m just awaiting the time for the PP to denounce this report and say its isn’t what they meant. Because, this is really showing their true character and it’s not looking good. Peace.

Opinion: Wadri’s gamble

Kassiano Wadri won the polls on the 15th August 2018 in by-election in Arua district, which by now has been a unique one, because of the aftermath for the opposition. Wadri has gone from the Forum for Democratic Change, which he represented between 2001 to 2016 in Terengo County, while he now represents Arua Muncipality as Independent with the help People Power Movement in the By-Election.

That is why his dismissal and arrogance of the organization of People Power and National Unity Platform (NUP). Can prove to be a lot eat for the ones who elected him in and especially depending on who the NUP and People Power field in his stead.

He has now revealed his next step is go to Alliance for National Transformation (ANT). Mugisha Muntu also campaigned for Wadri in Arua in 2018. Therefore, he had help from both Muntu and Bobi Wine. While the popularity of Bobi Wine is of another league in comparison to Muntu. To think otherwise is very foolish.

Wadri was the joint candidate in the area and in the by-election. He has now picked his man and his team. Even downplaying the People Power, which is interesting as his a coordinator. He acts like Tinkasmiire. Just think about that for minute, there is similarities in the statements of Wadri, as it was of Tinkasmiire. Both mocking and joking about the work and organization of People Power. That signals the arrogance of some leaders.

Yes, Wadri has won with the FDC the Terengo County seat since 2001 and is well-known. He has been a major player in Arua district and therefore, re-elected. However, this is really shady of him to act like this. We don’t know if Bobi Wine was a factor in the Arua By-Election.

Nevertheless, we know it amplified the elections and gave more firepower to the campaigning. In a manner, which Muntu never would have been able too. We can act like there wasn’t help that all parties stepped aside for Wadri. This time around the FDC, NRM and everyone else will field their flag-bearer. The challenge is bigger than Wadri versus Tiperu. Someone who has never won, but tried again and again.

Wadri can act like a big-man, as his used to get his way and also get elected. However, will he be able to stand People Power flag-bearer in a race with more candidates. It will not be a race with two candidates contesting. There will be from FDC, DP, PPM/NUP and so fourth.

Kassiano might think this power-play is wise. That he goes ring-side and such. Again, it shows that Bobi Wine loyalty is fickle and easily traded away. We know like Mwiru, Wadri have been a supporter of Muntu. Therefore, the move isn’t surprising, but its behaviour towards Bobi Wine and PPM, which is disrespectful.

He be ahead, as his the incumbent and have represented two counties in Arua district. Wadri might feel he has teflon and doesn’t need anyone. Still, its bad politicking doing this. I understand that he feels loyalty to Muntu. That is fine and dandy, but the way he undermines People Power is not what you should see from a seasoned politician like him. Especially, when they came for you aid and support in the recent Arua By-Election.

Wadri might think his the joker, the man of the hour and important where-ever he is. As his been part of FDC and had vital roles in the party. Even tried to swipe the role of Mafabi without luck. So, now his like Muntu in new fields, but we can wonder how this journey ends in 2021. Peace.

Zimbabwe: How much suffering is enough, Mr. Mnangagwa?

President Emmerson Mnangagwa, we know your living in wealth, eating of the plate of the government and your family is richer than God. You have land, businesses and a title, as the head of state. The republic is ill and your running it. Something you have done since the toppling of Mugabe.

Mnangagwa, now that your openly goes after activists, when the ruling regime are claiming main opposition party is terrorist and writers, journalists and activists are detained. If not, they are abducted. Like the recent act against ZimLives journalist and editor, Mduduzi Mathuthu, whose house was raided by the Police today. While confiscating cameras, computers and such.

All of this is done, while the opposition and tired public is gearing up for tomorrows demonstrations on the 31st July 2020. The activists and journalists who has covered this has put their life in danger. The police have haunted them and even asked for interviews.

Everyone who are looking into the corruption actions of the President and his men is getting into trouble. Just like Hopewell Chin’ono. Who is awaiting trail, as the state is working on producing evidence and his lingering in jail, denied bail. That is what the state does.

This is the state that Mnangagwa is serving the world. While using the loyalists of business to talk against demonstrations and getting authorities to call out COVID-19 guidelines as reasons to block these events. While UN organizations comes out defending the rights of the public to demonstrate.

How much pain do you want to add Mr. Mnangagwa? You know this, right? That your are the reason why people are burden in pain and suffering? You know that when we leaves this life, we all have to answer the same God, right? This means, there is no difference between us and we have to answer for our actions and choices in life, Mr. Mnangagwa are you ready to do that?

You should consider your actions and what you do. If your thinking your a big-man to send the army to the streets, putting up road-blocks and intimidate the ones on the barricade for the public. Then you are wrong Mr. Mnangagwa. This is not governing, but an armed siege of the public.

This is what you are. Your going to homes, take away critics and later make up charges. You intimidate and expects obedience. However, you are supposed to rule on accord with the public and after their wishes. They are not to blindly get commanded by you and yours. That is what you do.

While getting the guns, the ammo and the officers to civilians homes to intimidate them. That is what you do. If not, you get people arrested or abducted, because you can and later you read a scripture to act Godly. While you shouldn’t even sing a hymn or psalm.

Mr. Mnangagwa, I understand why you are called a crocodile. You are eating people and leaving their skeletons behind. You are coming with your teeth and spreading fear. That is apparently who you are.

So, Mr. Mnangagwa should we anticipate a bloodshed and a sudden rise in fatalities tomorrow? Peace.

Opinion: 527 MPs in the 11th Parliament [means an additional 208 MPs since 2006]

There been a rise in the amounts of MPs in the Republic. A such spiralling rise, that its epic. It is such a booming industry. That you would think the National Resistance Movement (NRM) had found the one way to get rich scheme. Ensure that everyone who wants to become MPs can be and ensure that the incumbents can win by making new counties to every single election.

First in the early years of this regime, there 38 NRA/NRM historicals members who ran the National Resistance Council. That was done between 1986 to 1996 and is called the 5th Parliament. By the time of the 8th Parliament (2006-2011) there was 319 MPs. In the 9th Parliament (2011-2016) there was 375 MPs.

In the 10th Parliament, the current day, its 459 MPs (2016-2021).

While the new legislation today with the new 46 counties, new cities and districts, plus the 5 elders MPs the amount of MPs in the 11th Parliament (2021-2026) the amount of MPs is up to 527.

So within the years of 2011 to 2021 the skyrocketing business of expansion in the Parliament went from 375 to 527. That is 152 new MPs since 2011.

If you look between the 2006 to 2021, the numbers goes even more insane. The Parliament went from 319 to 527, which means there was an addition of 208 MPs.

This means from 2006 until 2021 the Republic has made constituencies for 208 MPs, some special reserved seat and some Woman Representatives. However, the amount of adding this much people to be representatives in the August House must be redundant. Just like no government needs the amount of cabinet or Presidential Advisors. Which are all made in favours of the President.

Imagine, the Republic have created 208 seats in 15 years. It is a reason why they have to restructure and rebuild the Parliament. There is no office space, no halls to hold plenary sessions and so fourth. There are too many who has to show up and the building wasn’t built for that amount MPs.

This here is gerrymandering and carving out counties to secure weak MPs and ensure safe passage into Parliament. To also secure more friendly MPs of the regime. Have more cronies paid and lackeys covered in Parliament.

Your ensuring a costly parliament, MPs who is paid and covered with allocated funds, allowances and cars. Sitting fees and everything else. These people are paid millions upon shillings, while people living in a gig economy.

To create these much counties and MPs is only securing loyalty from the top. This is not to better the Republic. Only creating more expenses without adding any revenue. Peace.
