Opinion: DP Ruto shows again how he finessed the game, yet again!

What happen on Sunday on the 20th May 2018, that everyone has accept the results of the Fresh Presidential Elections on the 26th October 2017. Like he knows perfectly well the flaws and the issues with the elections. He was part of the issues that the elections of 2017 had, it was him and the President who ordered and fixed the results. Therefore, it is insulting to tell others how to cope with the end-game. But that is his arrogance.

Deputy President William Ruto has finessed this game, using the CORD/NASA as the wrong-doers, while his party is justified. Ruto has all along said that you should respect the constitution, rule of law and fighting insecurity. While his government are disrespecting the same values, attacking the Supreme Court, not following Court Orders or even securing the people, as the police continues with brutality after the elections in 2017.

DP Ruto is really just disrespecting the values that he is so concerned about, he is defending it, when it goes his way. But when the same courts and same rules of law is in his way, the state and the Jubilee will say its a problem. We have all been here before, Ruto is really just finessing his way. Now we have to accept the outcome of the elections. Just like they wasn’t fully flawed and deserves an independent investigations into the Cambridge Analytica, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Safaricom and the OT Morpho controversy, as the digital results transmission, the BVR Machine nightmare and the IEBC Server connected to the Cambridge Analytica server. All of these issues should be looked into, but that will also undress the king and the prince, which is Ruto. He and his kind will not accept the madness of doing so.

Also, that Ruto thinks people forget the number-crushing, the lack of openness within the results transmission, the lack of truthful voter register and amount of voters, which changed with time. As well, as the problematic high turnout for the 26th October elections, compared to the lack of people actually turning out. It is like Ruto forgets this. There are too many issues with this elections, just to let it go and say: Your the DP and President, we cannot question your legitimacy.

Even with the building bridges project, it doesn’t erase the history of these elections, that is why Ruto tries to finesse it. Tries to overshadow and let people forget the grand issues of it all. Ruto should be careful to even mention the elections. Because he knows perfectly well, all of these issues and underlying problems.

So, if he says they are legitimate, lets someone really independent, not judges who we’re besieged and house-arrested give the verdict, not let the boycotts and the grandest issues fall behind the swords of your tongue. Because we know the deal, we know the outcome and we know about what happen. It is the ignorant and blatant disregard for electoral practice that lets this go. It is you and your kind that don’t give a fig, about respecting the ballots and the people’s will.

Ruto, I will not accept a computer generated elections, where donkeys, chickens and kids voted your in and the electorate was disenfranchised. That is forgotten and people like me will not accept it. People were sleeping as guards on the polling stations. Therefore, Mr. Ruto, your legitimacy is fragile, it is fake and you can blame and tell others how to feel.

However, that will not change the reality and the real outcome of the 26th October 2017, maybe you should send the army to spread more fear, maybe more leaders in house-arrest. Because that was how you got the courts to comply to your wishes. Peace.

Kenyatta’s Cybercrimes Act is a crackdown on all content online!

During this week, President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act of 2018, meaning this is becoming actual law, that all citizens of Kenya has to comply to. As this is the legal framework and provisions, that can incriminate or be used against the citizens. They are really prepared to assault the digital world and the ones putting content online.

Two of these provisions, which is really cracking down on the online content is article 22 & 23:

22:“A person who intentionally publishes false, misleading or fictitious data or misinforms with intent that the data shall be considered or acted upon as authentic, with or without any financial gain, commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding five millions shillings or to imprisionment for a term not exceeding two years, or to both”.

23: “A person who knowingly publishes information that is false in print, broadcast, data, or over a computer system, that is calculated or results in a panic, chaos, or violence among citizens of the Republic, or which is likely to discredit the reputation of a person commits an offence and shall on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding five millions shillings or to imprisionment for a term not exceeding ten years or to both”.

This is clearly attacking and if they finds something as fake, they can make the people liable and criminal. While the Jubilee party and President signed this off, their own party should be careful signing this off. As they have worked with Cambridge Analytica and Harris Media, created fake news and also spread wrongful deceitful messaging online. This has been deliberate by them during the General Election of 2017, as well as the Jubilee has spread fictitious promises. Just like the fantastic trains and massive stadiums. Therefore, Kenyatta should know better.

They will use this law to go against the likes of Cyprian Nyakundi and others. The ones like the Elephant and others. Who are not spreading the message of the state, but are questioning their powers. Kenyatta knows this, even his own Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU), who spread the news of an honorary title from the UNICEF to Kenyatta. Which was false, I even got caught in the hype. I know I did, because it seemed like possible, as a month before the WHO gave a Mugabe a title too. Therefore, I got pissed and felt it was unfair to give a title for championing youths, when he destroyed the lives of plenty with the crackdown on protests during the elections.

Therefore, this sort of bill should make sure the PSCU also get arrested on their malicious content and propaganda. Even the planned messages from the team around the President should be spotless, however, the PSCU isn’t. They should have been, since the President has sanctioned these provisions. Why I am concerned, as they are putting restrictions on others, but the Social Media program of the state itself has been questionable and attacked the public itself.

We now can see what the state wants to do to its own citizens, as the are getting stronger provisions to follow and to track, in the end also making their content illegal. This is not just for safety, because these sorts of laws can be used against whistleblowers, and even the ones who drops data online on frauds and such. Since its damaging for the government, this might be a criminal offense for some.

What is the definition of a panic? Is it that Kenyatta cannot stomach a beer? Is it that DP Ruto don’t get a handshake? What is the stakes? Because the provisions that matters for most of the citizens are vague, meaning it depends on the interpretation of the officers and judges. That is not a good signal, that is a bad one, however, doubt the PSCU will get into trouble. More like bloggers, writers and television journalists that suddenly will be detained, because Kenyatta didn’t like what they said, wrote or broadcast. Peace.

Sonko: “Miguna Miguna for Deputy Governor of Nairobi” – Wasn’t he Canadian just a minute ago?

Let’s be clear, this isn’t funny, this is yet another result of the infamous and the handshake, the building bridges initiative of Uhuru Kenyatta. They have been playing footsie with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), offered whatnots of relevance for the opposition and left breadcrumbs for the NASA Co-Principals parties and clientele. However, this is about the saga of Miguna Miguna. Which has already been deported twice for his second nationality, being Canadian, while still being able to run for governor for Nairobi in 2017.

That the newly minted and elected Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko send a letter to Beatrice Elachi titled “Re: Nominee for the Position of Deputy Governor Lawyer Miguna Miguna”, being sent on this the 16th May 2018. It is ridiculous after everything, after the assault in his home, the hostage, the non-show in court all across Kenya, the first deportation. Than the second deportation and the sealing of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and keeping him there for a long time, before deporting him again. The whole scenario of making him a victim, taking away his citizenship. Calling him a non-citizen and also expelling him. That as a result of the swearing-in of Odinga on the 31st January 2018. Miguna paid the price for doing so, he really got the cost and was the biggest loser.

Miguna Miguna has been humiliated, he has been acted upon in a manner ,that is without any common sense or reason. Other than being part of a bigger political game and being used as a pawn. To show the power of the Jubilee and they can make anyone lose the privilege of being a citizen of the republic. When doing this, the Jubilee and the Authorities run by the Jubilee Administration didn’t give squat about the Court Orders and their open disregard for the Courts was evident. They didn’t care if they wanted to see Miguna in the Court, even if they wanted the leaders of the National Security Outfits to appear to be there because they hold contempt of Court. Still, they didn’t care much and didn’t need too. Because the state was ready to ditch Miguna like spilled milk. They just didn’t see his value and he was a cast-away.

Sonko and the Jubilee, I don’t know what he is playing with this, what they think they can gain for doing so. There is a saying enemies in politics isn’t forever, however, this is a really assuming that Miguna will take the challenge and become part of establishment. Even as he was an outcast and thrown in the bin by the same not merely a few weeks ago. It is not like the Jubilee has begged forgiveness or even tried to patch the hurt.

This is just further insulting the intelligence of the people who was on the side of Miguna, however, that may be, but there are many who sympathize with his case. As he has been unjustified taken away, he has without any legal bound lost his citizenship and has been a political prisoner without any justification. If so, then the CS and his Police Service would have brought the man to Court. However, they didn’t because they didn’t have a case, not even mere affidavits to build a scope for discovery even.

Miguna has been a victim of the unfavorable and the unjust society that the Jubilee has created. The looting and the destruction of trust between the citizens and the ruling elite. The evidence of this is the lack of proper actions concerning Miguna. This isn’t that, this is mere shenanigans and hoodlums trying to build up their self-esteem, trying to offer another man an office to silence and to consolidate him. Because if he is part of them, then he cannot be vocal critic, as he is on their payroll. It is an old game. It is played out all in front of our eyes. Peace.

KMPDU – “Status of Doctors’ Uemployment in Kenya” (16.05.2018)

Kenya: Security Situation in North Rift (16.05.2018)

Opinion: The NASA Co-Principals needs a new direction!

The National Super Alliance (NASA), the leadership of it needs to find their way, as Raila Odinga and the Orange Democratic Alliance (ODM) has moved on. That is apparent after the famous handshake. A handshake that has shaken the opposition, the building of bridges has clearly put the trio under Odinga in the midst of a river, they are all on a raft and wondering to which side to go to.

This being Moses Wetangula, Stephen Kalonozo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi, all of them and their parties are in the shadow, their relevance is lacking. Governors and other public officials has a bigger and vital role. All of these ditched Odinga at one point, so this was his ultimate revenge. However, the interview on KTN’s Checkpoint, Wetangula has shown that he is displeased and bitching about the situation. He is lost in the wind, the merger of his party with Mudavadi will not be the solution. Parts of him knows that, also Kalonzo Musyoka has tried to rename his party, but without any significant change.

Their role in post-handshake times are dwindling, they are league of leaders without a role, without a purpose and without place to call their own. They are opposition to Jubilee, but no one is giving them a handout. That is what these three expected. They expected to live under wings of Odinga and ODM supported NASA. That is why they followed from CORD to NASA. But they didn’t anticipate that Odinga would find another way out. He ditched them after they betrayed him. Therefore, the bitching done today at Checkpoint, just makes Wetangula looking foolish. He should man up and find his way.

Now, they are on the raft in the midst of the river, the waves are strong, but they can still go either way. They can either become total hostile against the government and be pure opposition. If not they can try negotiate their role as well. I think more the latter, since these gentlemen didn’t want to go into the line of fire in January 2018. They didn’t want to or believed in the Swearing-In, that is why none of them showed up in Uhuru Park. That is why Mudavadi said he didn’t believe in it.

The NASA Co-Principals needs to find their way into shore, they need to show they are leading and true leadership. Instead, as the NASA became a illegal entity after the Swearing-in, they we’re bitching again about losing perks. Now they have the perks, because Odinga and Kenyatta handshake, however, that didn’t give them a role. And why should Odinga help them with that, they didn’t stand by him. Which I have stated before.

It is time for the Co-Principals to decide to pick sides, not blame Odinga. They are at this point because of themselves. They have to find their way, but the way they are acting they will not have any relevance, right now Miguna Miguna means more, as he is consistence with his views and perspectives. Since the Co-Principals have run with the wind and tried to follow the accords of Odinga, but Odinga didn’t leave anything for them in the building bridges project. Therefore, they are now in the river and seriously needs to get to shore. Peace.

Opinion: It is rich to hear that Kenyatta wants to fight corruption!

Its weird, it’s rarely a week goes by without any sort of cronyism, any sort of scandal or anyone are eating of the public plate. Still, the President proclaims his fight against corruption and corrupt civil servants. He has hired corrupt men; he has hired corrupted individuals to all sorts of positions. To say otherwise, is to look behind their history and their acts. The Members of Parliament, the Local Government and the Governors are all in on it. In some way or another. The system is built to be corrupt, to be friendly envelopes for services rendered.

Therefore, it’s a broken record when Uhuru Kenyatta again yesterday proclaims, that he will fight corruption! How? What will you do? When all the kings men around are eating and misusing their positions to gain personal gain. When the Deputy President is known for being the hustler and the one who eats everything in sight!

That is why its rich coming from Kenyatta that he will fight this, as his party is eating of the spoils, the growing levels of debt and the lack of oversight. Where all parts of government are used to favour his elite and cartels, where the consumers and citizens are paying the price. That is the reality of it all. And the circle of evil exploits continues.

Don’t be shocked if a Cabinet Secretary, if someone involved in State Owned Enterprises is thieving, getting kickbacks and not have done proper procurement, even bought it from ghost shell companies. Don’t worry it happens all the time, the Big 4 Agenda is built for that, the whole Cabinet is made for looting. They are not there to serve you, they are computer generated elections, though sophisticated rigging. Therefore, the public service, the true governance and the real representations are happening elsewhere.

Kenyatta knows this, that why he said to dozens of people during the campaigns, I don’t even need your votes, that is because he knew, that the system would rig him in. The people are just pawns that he uses when needed, the rest of the time he serves the cartels and their wishes. That is why the prices are going up, the inflation of core prices rising, while the state is adding more debt. Therefore, the next generation will pay for the reckless spending by his administration. However, then he is out of office and he will not pay it no mind.

Kenyatta can say he wants to fight corruption, however, it is not believable, it’s a lie and he knows it. He can say otherwise, but the proofs are in the inaction and the appointments that he has. There isn’t any proof of significant changes, only more dire consequences of lack-luster government oversight. No-one in the right mind can say it fantastic, because the results comes steadily.

The time will tell, but I am not buying the hype, the generated message of fighting something, I am sure of more ghost-projects, ghost-businesses and ghost employees on the payrolls. Not of better governance and oversight. That belief has vanished. Kenyatta has disappointed the first term and surely after these horrendous elections, will disappoint again. Peace.

The Patel Dam burst: Government neglect as the owner allowed to build an illegal dam!

Whats the saddest about the tragedy in Solai, Nakuru County in Kenya, it is that it could have been avoided, but the common greed is the reason for the fatal dam. That it burst and hit the village. This is where the owner of the farm had put up an illegal dam called the Patel Dam, which was not legally built or constructed. It had already leaked before, but not burst. Therefore, the uncertainty was there, but nothing happen.

That the owners of the Patel Dam should answer for their illegal construction of the dam. Where the forces of water shredded lives, lives that could have had a longer life, if it hadn’t been for the greed of the Patel Coffee Estate Limited. That did this for the benefit of better farming, but dodged the law and built a dam. So that the harvest could be good. Build a cheap dam of sand and rock. Even forgetting a vital principal of having concrete as foundation of it. So that the dam has strength to oppose the currents of the water. Instead, the poor construction burst and took dozens of lives. Innocent lives who couldn’t be prepared for this. Even if there was leaks before, no one would have considered that the construction of it was this weak. That the owners had considered the possibility of it bursting.

The land was bought and renamed by the current owner, the old name was Milton Siding. That the building of this dam should have caused a stir by the Local Government in Nakuru. The Governor of Nakuru at the time, should have sanctioned the farm as the reports of the building should have been reported to his desk. The Police and the authorities should have inspected it and questioned its papers. Not to allow this sort of installation, unless he had permits and solid foundations for building it. This isn’t a tool-shack or a mere extension of a house. This is a major construction that has to follow certain technical specificity. Even the Kenyan government hire wrong people and building bad constructions, that has happen at ports and even bridges. Therefore, they should be careful to let private farmers and enterprises building dams like this.

That is why this is neglect by the government, the local government and the contractors, finally also the owners. All of them has failed the people of Solai, the Nakuru County Local Government should step-up and take blame, as they should seen this coming. They without actions, has given consent to the farm and its owner to do it. After getting knowledge of the construction, they should have informed needed authorities to stop the building of it, until the proper legal paperwork and shown the plan to safety standards. So that the public shouldn’t fear of what happen yesterday on the 9th May 2018.

The public shouldn’t be responsible for what owners tend to do on their land, they should trust that the owner has legal ability and has hired people with technical expertise to do this. Especially a project like this, building a dam and making sure the waters are steady. However, that didn’t happen here, as the foundation was built on the wrong premise. Cheap construction not built for securing the water. That is why it burst. The contractors, the owners and local government should have answers. Come up with reasons and answer in court for the deaths of innocent civilians. They are innocent people who got caught in the greed of the farmer.

That is the sad thing, that the farmer didn’t build a proper dam. He built a cheap one, that instead of thinking of consequences, only thought of profits. That is the sad reality and the authorities, should really be shaken, as they could let this happen on their watch. They are also responsible, since they didn’t take action and sanction the owner of the estate. That would have been the right thing and gotten the owner to strengthen the dam. However, that is just 20/20 and we know that didn’t happen.

We know how serious the burst is at it affected 2500 people and 500 families, as well as over 40 people are officially announced dead. All of them is too many, when this could have been avoided. They died over state neglect and lack of oversight. Peace.

KRC/CCCC: SGR Operation ‘Secrecy Agreement’ is a disgusting way of muffling the employees!

You know that Kenya Railways Corporation sucks, you know that the Standard Gauge Railways project is fatigued. As the circulations of the Secrecy Agreement that all employees has to sign onto. Which states that the employees cannot tell the truth about the operations or the works of the corporation.

They expect all employees to be strictly confidential about all matters connected with the SGR and the Kenya Railways Corporation. You are not allowed “to record, store copy any information or violating the SGR Operations”. Therefore, the SGR and Corporation are clearly muffling its staff. This includes “participating in negative articles, writings or videoes or photoes on social media or Facebook or Youtube and etc. that involving SGR Operation”. So when the company goes this far, it says how dire the operations are, they cannot be golden, but instead grim.

This is happening after the state orders all Containers from Mombasa to be put on the SGR and also pushing for the public to use the rails. However, it is still not profitable. As the project has been costly and also embarrassing as the grace period for the loans are soon hitting the government. Meaning, the huge loans for the infrastructure investment comes to roost. Therefore, the needs for revenue is even more important. To patch the hurt, before moving on to other projects.

That is why these sort of leaks and showing how far the Company takes it. Shows how bleak the situation is. When they have to muffle and silence the employees. Since the Secrecy Agreement has Chinese signs on them, it could be given by the tendered company, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), which have the 4 extensions tenders to the previous built railway from Mombasa to Nairobi. Therefore, this could be the direct interference of the contractor CCCC, that would explain why the agreement wrote Youtube as Yutube. Because, that is a site that is banned in China. So, if the CCCC employees wouldn’t know about it and its spelling it would make sense.

Because if the employee was to break the agreement, they would meet the SGR discipline, whatever that means. If that would be termination or put on leave, its hard to know, since their protocols are not out and the KRC/CCCC are not that open on this matter. I am sure they didn’t want the Contracts into the public sphere anyway. Since this is disgusting silencing of the workers and taking away their rights as citizens. This is all communications outside the operations is not allowed. This is not about keeping away company secrets, but keep negative social media impact of the company. However, now that the agreement is out.

I can assure the negative articles will come, not only that the state has order transports of containers directly, that its not profitable and not a wholesome company, instead its a mismanaged State Operated Enterprise (SoE). Surely, the Kenyans should feel betrayed, as they are silenced by outside forces, who are building railways in their republic. The CCCC is acting as kings and they are the servants on the spot. Not allowed to talk or express opinions, just work on the clock and shut-up. That is initially what the contract is saying. Peace.

Ruto snubbed at Kabarak: Next time have an official Plan B!

Marcus Burnett: Is this still plan B?

Mike Lowery: Naw, this is definitely plan C!” (Bad Boys 2, 2003).

Before politics, William Ruto was a walking preacher, who later joined in with the Orange Democratic Movement. Until he got tired and couldn’t eat enough. So he launched the United Republican Party in January 2012. In December 2012 he went into an alliance with Uhuru Kenyatta. That led to the victory of the 2013 General Election and also the formed alliance, that became a joint party now named Jubilee Alliance Party. With this in mind, Ruto has been playing the cards as he has seen fit.

When he was on the rise to power, before becoming someone to mention, he used the platform of Raila Odinga to become someone. While he didn’t rise enough or eat enough. He went out of that party and created his own. That he did just in time to join the The National Alliance of Kenyatta and create the Jubilee. So he could live among the allies and secure the battlefront against his former allies.

This weekend, as the bridging gaps between ODM and Kenyatta is in full affect. The handshake that has put torn in the flesh of many and also far from patching the hurt. Still, Ruto want to be the big-man and be someone you respect. Therefore, he doesn’t want to seen as a leach, but someone who can carry himself and importance. This weekend has shown how much power he really has.

When Gideon Moi, the KANU leader, the son of former President Daniel Arap Moi. Everyone of some relevance visits him and have talks. The likes of Odinga and Kenyatta has recently been there in the home in Kabarak. This weekend the Deputy President traveled to Kabarak with his helicopter. However, the doctors appointment was more important, than seeing Ruto and shaking his hands.

Whatever reasons for the snub, this is still showing the obvious. That Ruto isn’t as all powerful, he didn’t become the victor of the handshake between Kenyatta and Odinga. That was the first thought coming to mind. As it seemed that the grand-big-man, with his little village project of houses and expanding businesses, he is clearly not respected. That is accurate to say. Because, the reports of Gideon Moi being behind the snub. Shows that KANU has respect for Kenyatta, but not Ruto. He is lucky enough to be DP, but not lucky enough to visit and have lunch with the former President. Wonder if the same would happen if he visited Mwai Kibaki?

Because Odinga went there too… Ruto might have made a Public Relations impact, as people feels sorry or people are disgusted in Gideon Moi’s actions to block him from having lunch in Kaberak this weekend. However, I just feel that this shows lack of power that the Deputy President currently has. Secondly, he is disrespected and also shown the door. Therefore, a man with his office and stature can be blocked like a bloke asking out a girl and getting the door shut in the face. Instead of eating out and having a decent date. That is what happen to Ruto. Which is for all reasons humiliated.

But it also make Gideon looking giddy for the wrong reasons, as he knew that Ruto was coming, but sent his father to Doctor. Such a gentleman.

This is the first shot from Gideon, as people are speculating about 2022. However, this shows just how fickle the roads to power are. Even when your on the top, you can still get shade like everybody else. That has been seen with the sudden Kabarak visit from Ruto. Maybe prepare a believable Plan B? Because, you cannot trust anyone I suppose. Peace.
