The fall of FDC: The Nandala Mafabi Candidacy for Presidency

“No more guessing!

We shall fix the Economy and put Money where it belongs- in our pockets” (Forum for Democratic Change, 30.07.2025).

The duopoly leadership of Patrick Oboi Amuriat and Nathan Nandala Mafabi are working together in coordination regarding who does what in the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).

Today the announcement of who become the Flagbearer for the party and is the Presidential Candidate for the party. There was no earth-shattering moment or anything in this regard. What we saw was anticipated and was in the air.

We know POA was the barefoot candidate in the 2021 General Elections and Now the “Money Man” is the one running in 2026. That’s just what is happening …

Nothing was shocking that POA stepped down for Mafabi. Everyone was saying that it’s his turn. Now it is proven… that it was his turn and no one is spooked. POA just stepped down and the game is over. However, this man isn’t humble…

The FDC is now working to get “Money in our pockets”. They are prepared to embezzle and enhance their own finances. These people are only there to eat and to get personal gains. That’s the reason why they do this, and they aren’t even concealing it. If not they are telling the silent part out loud.

When a politician says: “Money in our pockets” is meaning that his willing to trade his ethics, principles and morals over the steady cashflow. That’s the gist of things and nothing new is under the sun. This isn’t brilliant campaigning or sloganeering. No, this is blind corruption and showing the heart of the FDC party in 2025.

Nandala Mafabi isn’t smart or wise doing this. Neither was the FDC using it’s wits by blocking other candidates from running as a flagbearer, except these two. It was their game and we knew the ending from the get-go. Therefore, this gamble is just a epic failure.

There is no way Mafabi will be taken seriously or such. He can walk barefoot and dance on charcoal, but no one will believe that he can win or even succeed. This man has a better chance becoming re-elected, yet again. So, the FDC is just becoming a joke and it’s tragic.

That’s the reason why people have left for the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) or People’s Front for Freedom (PFF). They rather be there, than being in the party that left its roots and became a shell of what it was. This FDC is just a mockery and an insult to the ones that formed it. This is why ANT and PFF exists… These parties will most likely takeover the place of the FDC in the nation. Peace.
