Kenya Health Professionals Society (KHPS): Joint Press Statement on COVID 19 in Kenya (01.07.2020)

Opinion: Mwangi Kiunjuri is he selling butter or tropical mints now?

Mwangi Kiunjuri, the fall-guy, the sacked agriculture secretary in January 2020. The man who said locusts matured and wasn’t dangerous anymore. This man is now unleashing his own party. This being The Service Party (TSP).

People have mocked him over the logo and righteously so. It looks like a mix of Blue Band Butter and KSL. Others has wondered if he copied the KSL and the Tropical Mints. Whatever his selling it’s not trading well. The storage remains full and the bankruptcy is ticking in.

This is the first day and the launch. It should have been with flair and fanfare. Alas, it was a softball and joke. He should have hired a comedian and a singer to sing-a-long, because this wasn’t cutting it.

Kiunjuri is doomed. It is just a matter of how and when. If he thinks this will fly for 2022. Then his delusional or have some secret backers to help him out. He needs some serious cartels to pay for his drive and his party.

Maybe even have a consolidation fund to cover challenges from businesses suing over copying of their traded logos, if it is KSL or Blue Band. What we do know is that this is not useful. The former CS is selling himself short.

Also the name is weak tea. The Service Party? TSP? The Second Party? The Sanctuary Party?

I wonder who he plans to service? What sort of service? Will it have insurance or if your not happy can you return it?

It doesn’t sound like a party with any ideal or vision. Just a brief-case party to keep Kiunjuri preoccupied in opposition. That he has an office and feels important. His the leader of The Service Party for heavens sake. The mighty, the serviceable and well organized TPS. Peace.

Opinion: Kalonzo is a lackey awaiting his envelope

If you don’t know, now you know. It is now proven again that Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, the former NASA Co-Principal Leader and Wiper Democratic Movement leader are no in co-operation with the Jubilee Party and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

That is not shocking, as he was already aligned from the moment he accepted the Special Envoy to South Sudan. From that moment you knew he was going away from being opposition and into the chambers of power. He does it all on selfish gains.

Kalonzo has changed homes before to get ahead. That he would do this again isn’t new. That is in his character. That is why his a lackey. His the perfect lackey. The sort of man that will profess loyalty, speak honourably about His Excellency and all of their projects.

Just like he switched from KANU, Liberal Democratic Party, NARC Coalition, Orange Democratic Movement, also CORD and NASA Coalitions. This man has jumped ship and done so for personal gains so many times. That this cooperation deal now follows a clear pattern for Kalonzo.

Kalonzo just needs a safe-haven, a place of refuge and security. He will speak of all the gospels and tales of fortune. Kalonzo will preach and be a holy man for the cause. A useful tool for the operation. Kenyatta got a man who will profess all loyalty and be there for him.

That’s why his a lackey. A hard-working lackey.

Kalonzo is now a man of the Jubilee, a man of the party and a voice of the government. His not an opposition. Even if he claims his still part of NASA. While he has signed a deal with Jubilee. You cannot make this up. That is how bonkers things are. Just like the handshake have made Raila Odinga a pseudo-governmental-official too. They are both compromised and eating on the plate of the state.

Kalonzo is just the one getting traded for bargaining chips, while Odinga gets the big-budget. Odinga butchered the NASA with his handshake, we all saw that, but now we see what it does to Kalonzo too.

Kenyatta is able to get everyone under his wings and steer the future at his call. Sign agreements, coalitions and ensure everyone is loyal to Jubilee.

It is all simple trade-offs. The ones getting the least is Kalonzo. However, he don’t mind. His only a lackey anyway. Peace.

Kenya Human Rights Commission: President Kenyatta should normalize relations with Judiciary (15.06.2020)

Law Society of Kenya: Statement by the Senior Counsel Committee in Support of the Position taken by the Council of the Law Society of Kenya and the Chief Justice on the refusal of H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta to Appoint the Fourty One (41) Nomited Judges of the High Court and the Court of Appeal (15.06.2020)

WikiLeaks: The Kenyan leak [If it is from 2013 or today] is still bloody

The Wikileaks release today is kind of weird and a spectacle at once. The documents are both old reports, internal confidential documents, inner-party strategies and whatnot from years already passed. These documents are clearly leaked for a reason. That is to hurt the candidacy of Raila Odinga.

Not that Odinga needs anyone to destroy his career or his own campaigns. His in the limbo as it is and his own tactical movements are now so self-centred that these documents will not challenge it. That this shows how the politicians in Kenya operates. Is just an important insight. That it also drops documents like the leak of John Githongo on Anglo Leasing from back-in-the-day.

That people are saying these documents are vindicating William Ruto, I would beg to differ. There is still the list of his planned violence and execution of it in the post-election violence. The case that ceased and was suspended in the International Criminal Court (ICC). His named a problem by the ODM, while he was at ODM. Which is really a weird stance, but maybe they knew he was a renegade and only there on borrowed time?

Well, these documents are not good for anyone involved. None is coming scratched free. It is showing how to get away with murder, land-grabbing and rigging elections. There is nothing here that is positive or shed a light of hope. These documents are just damaging. No mater what date they are made and prefixed for.

It is not like these documents are good for the President either. None of the power trio of Kenyatta, Ruto or Odinga gets a stellar performance out of this. Yes, Odinga is in the front and centre of this leak. The documents are showing his plans and such. The Kibaki documents shows their plans as well ahead. Not like these are shedding lights on things that usually would have been hidden or not discussed in the open. Just like some of the leaks from Cambridge Analytica during the last General Election. There would have been more if the opposition had pushed and pressured for the release from the IEBC. However, they settled and that’s why the Jubilee is having a field-day in office.

All of this should be a lesson, that the game of politics for some is either for the long-con or the short-con. Some its for the greater good and for some its just personal gain. These documents proves that Baba isn’t the ultimate statesmen, but just another hustler. Ruto is a corrupt man. That’s not news, but the reality is that Odinga and Kenyatta has enough fatalities to answer for themselves too.

Odinga and the ODM had clearly plans. They wanted to achieve certain goals by all means. Just like the PNU and the Jubilee now. Yes, this leak shows how Odinga and the ODM was bankrolled by the Republican Party, people behind the Anglo Leasing and Goldberg scandal. So his crying loud against corruption. His money is tainted too. That just for the record now. We can wonder who else has given him cash to campaign in the past.

Therefore, this leak is vital and important. Yes, it has its eyes on Odinga. You can really wonder how this would look if it was aimed at Kenyatta or Ruto. What sort of detail, documents and information that would have been leaked. Then their secrets, their trade-offs and shunning details which has transpired in the past. Ruto and Kenyatta has much more hidden, which would have been explosive too.

Some ODM supporters are playing the dates, the supposed leak of 2013 on this one. I wonder if they would have had such questions, if this was about Ruto or Kenyatta? You go figure, right?

Well, this WikiLeaks are important, because it shows some insights. It breaks down a few barriers. It shows some dirty laundry. However, it is not the full picture, but it gives way to us. It shows sides to people, which we wouldn’t have gotten on the traditional way. No way in hell the ODM or the other political actors would have released this. They would have kept this hidden or hoped it was destroyed already. Peace.

Kenya: The Judiciary – Statement on Executive Order No. 1 of 2020 (04.06.2020)

Kenya: Head of Public Service Dr. Joseph Kinyua letter to all CSs – Executive Order No. 1 of 2020 – The Organization of Government (27.05.2020)

Opinion: Is DP Ruto ready to be as important as the Ugandan VP?

The President, Uhuru Kenyatta has issued an Executive Order restructuring government and in the end abolished the Presidency. He has put the Deputy President William Ruto and taken away his office in a way. The Deputy is stripped out of power to reign on his own, but under his authority.

The DP has to now get the yes from the Public Service to hire people. The DP has to get the blessings of others. Ruto will not run the shop on his own. William has to ask the Head of Public Service Dr. Joseph Kinyua holds the key to whose allowed to be working for the DP now. The DP can file in the forms together with his team, but the final say will be the Head. This is really demoting the DP to its core.

The DP is becoming as relevant as Vice President Edward Ssekandi of Uganda. Yes, his the longest serving of the VPs in the Republic of Uganda. However, his role is all ceremonial and the Prime Minister has more power. Just like CS Fred Matiang’i can be seen as unofficial Prime Minister. Also with the pseudo high ranking official Raila Odinga. Nevertheless, the Ruto is becoming Ssekandi of Kenya.

An to become a man of Ssekandi, your not powerful neither are you respected either. You have a title, a salary and are in office. Your supposed to show no intent of will for more power, neither ambition for the highest office.

The DP from now on will be on stages as a puppet and an underling of the President. The DP will only be there as a man of functions, not of a man of a high office. His Codename the Cleaner, the Master Fixer and the Hustler, but he has no power.

He will be flamboyant in speeches, cut ropes and be like a big-man. Might continue to work for the progress of the Big Four and the government programs. Whatever the DP got to do is on the mercy of the President, who decides how big of a budget and his staff.

This makes the DP like the VP of Uganda. Both just ceremonial cadres, people with a big title, nice wheels and smart suits. However, they are both there because the President needs some underlings, but not opposing as such.

Ruto has lost his wings. Tanga Tanga is already wiped out of important roles within the National Assembly and this is yet another L for Ruto. He cannot win these days and the President has taken every step in the book to make him lesser and less relevant. His power and office is shrinking.

Soon Ruto only have the ability meet and greet people, when the President and the Public Service allows him to do so. Since, his already under him and the President decides.

That is a clear message. Ruto is the Ssekandi of Kenya. Hope he enjoys speeches in church meetings, funerals and such. Because that his role. He will be there to also open up new facilities when the President doesn’t have the time or represent in his stead. If the President is to busy, then its Ruto’s turn to show up.

The Second in Command, but also the first loser. He continues to take them L’s and … his relevancy is shrinking quicker than he can grasp. Peace.

Kenyatta’s Madaraka Day Speech: … This too will Pass!

President Uhuru Kenyatta is a force to be reckoned with, he uses all political will and power to stay in office. He bends the others and ensures his safekeeping. No matter what he does, somehow he ends on top. The dynasty President and the one who has in recent time hit at critics within his own administration and rejuvenated the high ranking officials around him. That is the sort of man Kenyatta is and unapologetic about it too.

Today, he did send the message from the State House, not an half-empty stadium or anything. However, he did it from his shelter and his residence because of COVID-19 or Coronavirus outbreak, which has hit the Kenyan Republic hard. What he did say was interesting, I will take a few of his points and discuss those.

Further, we have made admirable progress in the implementation of Vision 2030, as my Administration implements the Big Four Agenda. But this Vision comes to an end in 9 years. The urgency for a new vision and a new dream is, therefore, real” (Kenyatta, 01.06.2020).

This is really deep, that Kenyatta is working on two visions, the Vision 2030 and the Big Four, two things that seems connected, but we know he has done this properly. It is high and mighty visions, but they have not succeeded. A few pet projects, a lot of debt and failing economy. The Kenyan state is worse off after the two terms of Kenyatta, than before him. However, he cannot state that, because that is the reality.

But for us to craft this new dream and prepare for the “…great leap forward”, we needed to finish what our Founding Fathers had started. And this is what we set out to do in our quest to uproot the remnants of ignorance, poverty and disease in our midst. This inspired my Administration’s transformative agenda for the nation – the Big Four Agenda. Allow me to give you only three examples of unfinished business started by our founding fathers and which we are endeavoring to complete” (Kenyatta, 01.06.2020).

He mentions again the Big Four Agenda like that is the coded message of the supposed achievements. There been so many empty pledges and ghost projects in the time of this government. So, yes the SGR has been built, neither is it profitable nor is a success. That is why the cargo transport been ordered there and also to the inland port of Navisha. This is all a centralized plan, however, this isn’t a sign of greatness. When everything is forced and the economy is tanking. It was even doing so before COVID-19. Therefore, the President and his team is already struggling, while the state has piled up debt upon debt. Also squandering funds on scandals and whatnot. Not building for the future, but living lavish for the moment.

And part of this sermon speaks to our reality as Kenyans. If we are to push the re-set button and re-imagine our dreams as a nation, we must transform our civic culture to one that is biased towards duty, hard work and integrity. My Fellow Countrymen, We need political leaders totally committed to promoting not self but what will transform lives of our people in line with what our founding fathers yearned for. Indeed, as Martin Luther King, Jr said: “We need political leaders not in love with money but in love with justice. Not in love with publicity but in love with humanity” (Kenyatta, 01.06.2020).

In this one, his asking for the “my turn to eat” paradigm to quit. However, that is embedded in the politics. That is why you as President has hired the loyalist and made positions for them in Councils and what else needed. Just to ensure your place, as well as securing the industries you got companies in. Like you did with the regulations of the Milk Industry and so fourth. The way your steered by the cartels and let them dissolve factories, as long as they are earning on the imports. That is what has happen during your tenure. The money factor and quick profits for you and your associates has been more important, than hard work or morality. There been several of scandals, grand-corruption, but none has put into prison or lost their livelihood. They have all been close to you and not paid any price for it.

That is why speeches like these Mr. President is insincere at best. Your motivation might be there, but your actions speaks otherwise. If you cared about this things. You wouldn’t be all politicking and secure the dynasties future. Instead of leaving a better Kenya behind when your term is over. Its a lot of smokescreens, but no real action.

The Cambridge Analytica PR Stunts isn’t cutting it. Not when the realities are hitting the grounds. When the continues suffering, the problematic state and the fragile weakness of the financial institutions and liquidity. A spiral of debt, overspending and lack of results. Expensive white elephants and very little to show for. That is what you got. You bough temporary peace after the last election, but you didn’t buy a legacy of finishing anything. Except for enriching yourself and your allies. Peace.
