“Security has noted with concern the continuous rhetoric by the NUP Presidential candidate calling upon his supporters to mob polling centers on Election Day, and thereafter march to the Capital Kampala. He also encourages his supporters to be prepared to confront the security forces because, in his view, the police and UPDF would be outnumbered on the ground. This type of polarizing language is very unfortunate indeed. It is ill advised, toxic, shallow in logic, and dangerous. The security forces strongly condemn the spirit and message behind the call, and we contend that this must stop henceforth. In the worst case scenario, those who incite violence and promote anarchy in the country by misleading the young of Uganda to violently confront the security forces will themselves not escape the outcome. The net effect will be a futile and zero-sum game with no winners, and contemporary examples abound in the world around us and beyond” (Colonel Chris Magezi – ‘Caution Against Incendiary and Divisive Language That Could Lead to Political Violence’ 04.12.2025).

Who brings the weapons? The army and the authorities do.

Who is quell the opposition? The army and the authorities do.

Who is in charge and have monopoly of violence? Well, the army and the authorities do.

I can continue, but it is beyond me. That someone who can write such a statement doesn’t see the folly. They are blaming the victims of oppression, impunity and the bystanders for their demise. That’s what the state does, and the law enforcement complies with these orders. The whole machinery is built to crush and silence the dissent. That’s not a well-known secret, but what it practically commits to do.

Sometimes I wonder if the army and the police force ever have heard His Excellency speak or fellow comrades even. Because there is warning against the opposition and their actions, but there are never any reflections on how the President and his fellow men are speaking. No, these people are untouchable, and these are the ones that is ordering the mayhem. So, let us make them saints and the victims the culprits. The deceased who cannot speak was a terrorist, a hoodlum or anything of that sort, because the dead can never say a word or defend its case. Alas, that’s how the state operates, and it is obvious. They are penalizing and criminalizing the acts of the opposition and that’s why they speak like this. Instead of taking any accountability and reflect on their own actions.

This here sort of statement is made to endanger and vilify the opposition. It is done so it can blame the National Unity Platform (NUP) or anyone else for that matter. That’s the gist of the statement from the UPDF here. They are doing this to put the blame on everyone else for their misuse of firearms and electoral violence against the opposition. This the main reason for writing and putting out this statement. That’s not to acknowledge what it does or how it operates. No, it is to pin Bobi Wine or anyone else who speaks their peace. Because the opposition and civilians are supposed to accept the tear-gas, live-bullets and whatnot in the coming days.

That’s why we must live accordingly and just know that this is what they do. Peace.

Opinion: The Electoral Commission are “gerrymandering” by other means by adding more polling stations

The ones that believe the General Elections of 2026 is done in a sincere fashion or by the idea of the will of the people. Well, the Electoral Commission and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) won’t allow that to happen. They are using all means and tricks of the trade to ensure the NRM majority and win by default. These people won’t allow the people or the systems to be prepared. That’s why there is additional budget just in December 2025 to prepare for the polls in January 2026.

This whole process is jaded when the Electoral Commission drops the clue of additional 15,256 polling stations in December 2025. That shows their intent, because they can rig the numbers and jade the voter rolls in all of these polling stations. It goes from 38,315 to 53,571 polling stations in 2026. Just like they are adding sub-counties, counties and districts or other ways of making more Members of Parliament ahead of the polls. Therefore, this is all ensuring that the NRM wins and has an easy route to victory.

They are doing this so shortly and announcing it so late, just so the opposition and the other parties cannot have the time or acknowledge what the state just did. They are splitting polling stations and making new ones, so the historical patterns and the voter turnout is changed. That gives the state reasons to manufacture numbers and the declarations forms from the polling stations too.

This here is a tactic and strategy to ensure one thing and one thing only. It isn’t to make it easier for the voter or the citizens for that matter. No, this is done so the Electoral Commission has more flexibility and the ability to juke the stats. That’s why these matters and there should be aggression against this. As this is done in the final stretch of elections road map and done at the last minute.

Everyone should be aware and acknowledge this here game. This is how they play and there is no justice in this, but to secure it all before the polls. That’s why they are doing this, and they aren’t even clever in concealing it either. This is just what they do, and we can all see it. Peace.

Opinion: Is King Mswati III the life-line for Kabila now?

There is now reporting from Eswatini that former Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Josepth Kabila has an Eswatini Diplomatic Passport and is able to travel around with just this. As his fleeing from the death sentence in absentia in the DRC. That says something about the relationship and arrangements made with absolute monarch of Eswatini, King Mswati III.

Everyone can see the connection and know there is a deal made between the King and the Former President. The King has gotten something out of this and Kabila has paid or promised a payout by doing so. Meanwhile, the King can issue whatever he likes and allow, as his word is the law and he has the final say in the Kingdom.

Kabila has gotten a sweet deal here and a viable asset. As a fugitive and a questionable asset. His a man who has to seek greener pastures and ensure his safety. We know the court case and judgement is a political one and a prosecution of someone who has fallen out with President Tshisekedi and his allies. Therefore, Kabila just doing what he knows and using his leverage elsewhere.

It is just really compelling if this is true. Than Kabila and his fellow allies still has suction and ability to move. This also conceal him from the Kinshasa authorities and he could fly under their radar. He is a practically a citizen of Eswatini and is “representing” them in a way.

This here complicates things, but only shows what sort of things the elites and the ones with resources can do. A civilian or a random citizen fleeing the DRC couldn’t have achieved this, but Kabila has more under his belt and tools at his disposal after years in office. He got the leverage and the envelopes to feed anyone who takes it. Mswati III needs political capital elsewhere and this why he does it too. Plus he surely gotten some monetary gains and promises, which Kabila will keep.

There is no free lunch and Kabila has forked up some money or promised something in return for the Diplomatic Passport. That’s what we should expect. There is one report and article now made by the Swaziland News, but certainly there will be more about this. As this is a diplomatic quagmire. However, the King doesn’t have to worry about anything. He can do whatever he likes, but it is Kabila that can be in trouble, yet again. Peace.
