Opinion: The ANC is rotten to its core

The African National Congress (ANC) the ruling party since 1994 and the ones who has spearhead politics in South Africa. Is showing its ugly side these days. The dirty laundry isn’t hidden, but shown to the whole wide world to see. This is all happening because of the Previous President Jacob Zuma. Has initiated this and showed the world his insatiable greed.

Zuma will never profess to that. His a victim. He is the man who had to fall on a sword to let other people live. The ANC clipped his wings and made a mockery of him publicly. Because, the former head of state will never take responsibility for the “State of Capture” case and all the alleged corruption charges on him. No, no, no… this man is innocent and a saint.

Alas, we are in 2021 and now the gloves are off. The Zondo Commission is working. The damage of the corruption is hurting the party. The ANC is suspending its members and its hurting the egos on top. The latest victim is Ace Magashule who in the past promised to squeal on everyone who did anything within the party. If they went after him.

So now that they suspended Ace. He says the party now has to suspend President Cyril Ramaphosa on the same grounds. As he is also faces charges of money laundering and questionable funding in the CR17 Campaign donations,

We can wonder how this one will roll out. As there are several of people involved and been together in the eating on top. Certainly, the party, the high ranking officials and the ones appointed knows this. It is not like there is a single servant or one culprit. That is why Ace promised to talk before to show a point. Now, he targeted the President. The man who took over for Zuma and was supposed to make things differently. Alas, that haven’t been the whole story.

The ANC is rotten to the core. They are corrupt, grand corruption is in their veins and they live on perks of office. The ANC has gotten used to the spoils and the usage of state to benefit themselves. That is why, if you go after one of them. You will find a whole company and allies participating. This being investors, handlers and everyone closely associated with the ANC. It is not only a governing party, but a business enterprise subsidizing and incorporating funds into portfolio’s of ANC associates.

Therefore, that Ace retaliates is a must. He needs to show heart now. The man should show all proof and address this in meetings with the Zondo Commission. He should talk his heart out and use the weapon of knowledge. So, he can implicate others and show the dire truth of the party. That is if he dares, as his whole political life is on the line.

Yes, it has taken years for Zuma to get any punishment or any trial for his charges. The same could happen Magashule. But… that will forever follow him and his name. Ramaphosa has the luxury of the office now and clearly will not follow suit or a statement of a suspended Secretary General. Still, it is a show-down and shows the distress of a party inflicted in self-destruction.

A path Zuma initiated and engraved in the party. The greed, the zealous efforts to eat of the government plate and enrich themselves beyond belief. The ANC became a full bazaar and a place for petty thieves and corrupt officials. That is why the stink is smelling in Gauteng and elsewhere. The truth is that the party cannot run away from it anymore. Everyone knows it too. They know that these gentlemen in suits are “killing it” and have bank-accounts stashed away in Switzerland. That is has all been provided by government tenders and shell-companies shielding the schemes to make it happen.

This is why… Ace needs to tell and report what he knows now. Especially, when he dares to go afte the President. Since, a media statement is just the beginning. That is not enough. The damage control of the ANC will come into play and they will make a fool out of Magashule. Unless, he drops bombs to the Zondo Commission and show them explicit truth with documents and other proof of criminal conspiracy. Than he can bring down a whole bunch of people and undress them too.

The ones following knows this has been truth for years. ANC have been a lost cause for so long. It has been a corrupt enterprise running the state. That is really it and they endured a lot. It is now time for the ones shielding it to come forward and drop the knowledge from the inside. Not just jump on their swords and take the hit. Something got to give and maybe that’s someone as conning as Ace. Peace.

South Africa: Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, Corruption and Fraud in the Public Sector including Organs of State (04.12.2020)

EFF Statement on the Corruption by Eskom COO (21.07.2020)

Opinion: Zuma and Ramaphosa, different cases but similar sins

That former President Jacob G. Zuma is now warranted an arrest on multiple frauds, the capture of the state charges and so on has been on the horizon for years. However, the man taking over for him. The Current President Cyril Ramaphosa have to answer for his actions too, the case of the CR17 Campaign funds, which wasn’t disclosed as per law.

Both of the African National Congress Presidents has used their power to sway more money, to gain advantage as their Executive Privilege and as Head of States to get more funds, spend more cash and misuse the public trust. Both in manners, which isn’t accordingly to their office and neither to the public as a whole.

The ANC has to dig deep and not the way ANC Youth League went out defending Zuma with an statement, because they are defending him as person, but not considering the office he held while acting disingenuous at best. The ANCYL should have considered that, with the office and station. Zuma should have been more precautious and even more pristine, as the faults you do make you fall even higher, than if you’re a taxi-driver. Because, there are higher expectations of a person as the Head of State. Alas, that breach of trust was clear and been revealed ever since. Now, he cannot shield his sins, as he could while being in office.

However, Ramaphosa still tries; he uses the office and the title to save himself the disgrace. The added breaches, lack of transparency and lack of due diligence is evident. The possible more breaches of trust and of the law comes more apparent, the more he hides behind his office. Then he becomes like Zuma. There is no difference, only that his not building a village, but instead funded his campaign on illicit money.

Maybe Ramaphosa should use some of the change to build a fire-pool too. I am sure he needs it too cool off, after the state visits and the questions of the courts and the media. The ANC has been known for the ability to get corrupted ever since Thabo Mbeki. The frauds and misuse of government funds, combined with shady tender deals with State Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Are evidence of practice beyond the norm or the law, but still able to get away with the grand corruption.

Now, Zuma is going-in and out of courts. His time in the limelight as a big-shot is over. The question with every given day is what they can charge and what time they will give him. Alas, that is up to the state prosecution combined with evidence or proof of the conspiracy itself. While Ramaphosa are in the same hole, trying to dig himself out, but trying to deflect and put the blame on the civil service and Public Protector. Which is ironic, as the PP is supposed to investigate and ensure legal transactions.

Therefore, the President and the former President are both in trouble over funds, over cash and their way of spending it. They are both having issues, which connects with their role and ability to misuse cash. That is it, it is just a question to what extent and what they are able to prove in Courts. These sort of acts will come, prove it and then the President’s has to answer.

Because, the ANC and the South African state deserves better, than to have men at the helm who cannot be trusted with money. If there is somewhere, they should trust that. It’s the head of state, he or she should be clean and follow protocol. Not a be common thief with a fancy office. Peace.
