Opinion: Nethanyahu’s “Hail Mary” in regards to Hargeisa (Somaliland)

There is something shady going on and I don’t what gives. These sorts of deals and arrangements are done in secrecy and done in closed sessions meetings with hasty minutes. That is done so both parties ensures a “winning formula” and a reasonable outcome from both parties. The Leadership of Israel and Somaliland has gotten their way.

Israel is doing this to get political points and be visionary in the Horn of Africa. Surely, they have another back-up plan and possible on-set, which the leadership of Hargeisa has agreed upon. That’s why Somaliland is recognized and gotten the declaration from Israel today. Israel has gotten something strategic in return and for the bargain of accepting the recognition of Statehood. That’s why we are here…

The leaders of Mogadishu has the right to be hostile and answer to it, as they believe this encroaching on their sovereign and their rightful territories, which others are carving up and taking a piece. The Federal Government of Somalia got to retaliate and respond, in a manner that is not as toothless as the African Union (AU). The ones who saw the aftermath of the intervention and Memorandum of Understanding between Ethiopia and Somaliland last year. Well, this is much further and at a grander scale.

That’s why the ones sitting in Villa Somalia and in the Parliament has to react. They got to show force and respond accordingly. The ones in Office and represents the nation to defend it and show some courage. As they are being weaken and being humiliated on an international level. That got to sting and hurt the pride.

Yes, Somaliland declared it’s independence from the Federation in 1991, but no one has recognized it. The ones leading in Hargeisa has done it one its own and not with any recognition. Just like other micro-nation and breakaway Republic’s who has been launched around the world. The ones leading are elected and they have built institutions, but no one has accepted it. That’s why they been called a “clan” run entity and without any legitimacy. Now Israel is doing it and you can wonder why now after 34 years?

The leaders of Tel Aviv in the middle of genocide and forever conflict with the State of Palestine has the time to acknowledge and call this breakaway Republic a sovereign. These who has bombs, drones and soldiers killing unarmed civilians in Gaza. As they are preoccupied with that. They have the time and the efforts to show solidarity with another breakaway Republic. Meanwhile, the same people in Tel Aviv don’t want to see a “two-state” solution or share territories with Palestine. Which is ironic, as it is okay with making Somaliland a sovereign outside of the Federation of Somalia. Alas, therein is the “Hail Mary” and Molotov Cocktail into the mix.

This here can be the first step into a bigger war and change the patterns across the alliances of the Horn of Africa. As certain ones will be beholden to Mogadishu. Meanwhile other in the axis of Hargeisa/Tel Aviv will chose this way. Meaning there will be to parties and nations who can be on either side. This will just make the Horn of Africa fragile and we will see quick alignment too. As the ripple effect will come shortly.

The actions made by Benjamin Nethanyahu today is of no good. This isn’t a noble cause, but a dangerous one. One made by a gamble and for a short-con planned for a bit. They aren’t doing this without leverage and without something in mind. That spirit and that vision, we don’t know yet, but will be revealed with time. Peace.
