South Sudan: Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – In Opposition (SPLM-IO) – Plot to Assassinate First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny (27.09.2025)

“To all citizens, the time for real change is now. We hear people talk about change. Unfortunately, when you look at them, you see yesterday spelt on their faces. They are actually tired. Just look at them closely. Their ideas are outdated, however much they try to clothe them in new jargon. They even fear to mention the word corruption. Yet corruption is the cancer that threatens the real existence of Uganda as a sovereign nation” (Elton Joseph Mabirizi, 05.11.2015).
It is hard to imagine that someone who hasn’t hold any elective position for a decade is retuning on the ballot, but that’s what is happening in regards to Elton Joseph Mabirizi. Last time he ran as a Presidential Candidate was back in 2016. That’s a long time and he haven’t been visible either.
Mabirizi was a running joke and the young one among lot’s of elders in 2016. He ran on the The Independent Coalition (TIC). A small fringe coalition, which we haven’t seen anything of since the 2016 election. He was known for late starting the campaigns and using taxi’s to rallies or even to media houses.
Now Mabirizi has become the Presidential Candidate in an old party, the Conservative Party (CP). A party who has existed and been viable, but never been big. Nevertheless, that party has always had maverick leaders and the longest running for the party at the moment is John Ken Lukyamuzi. This time around his vouching for and supporting Mabirizi. That is really a compelling case and showing maturity of him.
Last time he ran a campaign he got only around 23,000 votes. So, what has he done to be relevant or been viable as a candidate?
I have seen a few pieces in the newspapers, but nothing serious. Yes, Mabirizi collected the nomination form in 2021, but he didn’t run in that election. That’s why it’s been so long and he has a mountain to climb.
The only difference this time is one of old parties of the nation is having him on the ticket. They are using his familiarity and using him to get more headlines. Now Mabirizi is ten years older and possibly wiser.
The Conservative Party is risking it here, maybe they think they got nothing to lose either. They are getting recognized and Mabirizi is the right flavour of the day. He will become a spectacle and be a vibrant character.
Just like last time, his candidacy will be worthless and only be a way of getting them in the media. Since no one will be running wild about the candidacy. Neither has the Conservative Party geared up for it or even tried to tell people what was coming. Instead, both just came out of nowhere and now we are supposed to be galvanized.
Well, Mabirizi and CP is being spoken about and that is victory for them in itself, but that doesn’t mean it will build anything substantial. Peace.

“Tanzanian police have confirmed the arrest of Innocent Paul Chuwa, popularly known as Kiduku, over alleged cybercrime offenses. Dar es Salaam Special Zone Commander SACP Jumanne Muliro said Kiduku was taken into custody on September 24 at Kariakoo and remains under investigation. Authorities noted he will be brought before the courts once inquiries are complete, but did not reveal details of the alleged offenses. The arrest came a day after news of Kiduku’s disappearance spread online, raising public concern at a time when enforced disappearances have caused growing tension in Tanzania” (MwanzoTV, 26.09.2025)
On the 24th September 2025 Innocent Paul Chuwa aka Kiduku was apprehended and by the time of writing this on the 26th September 2025 there been no trial or any sort of court proceedings in regard to the arrest of Kiduku. Kiduku is a content creator that makes people laugh and give the viewers a moment of joy. Apparently, that is a cyber crime in Tanzania.
Chama Cha Mapundzi (CCM) are cracking down on media and silencing critics. That’s why it has suspended radio stations and newspapers before. It has tried to block internet forum and stopping it from posting pieces. So, the arrest of Kiduku follows a pattern. As it just shows where the CCM regime is at the moment and during a re-election of the President.
The CCM fears the young and the free mind of its citizens, as the authorities and law enforcement are apparently going after them. It is for a reason that Kiduku is behind bars and charged. They have done this to a street vendor in Kariakoo. They captured him in plain-clothed men who identified as police officers. Whistleblowers has later revealed that Kiduku was taken to the Central Police Station, which is a dangerous place to be, as Faustin Mafwele directs the “death squad” and make people disappear. Therefore, there is all the reasons to be afraid and be worried about Kiduku.
At this very moment, we don’t know what is going with him or what the authorities are doing to him. Neither do we know or have any idea where his held. Neither the real supposed “criminal conspiracy” as the authority says they have him and confirms that. They claim he has violated “cybercrime” law, but we know that’s a tool to silence dissidents. Therefore, don’t expect much or any brilliant motive for the initial criminal conspiracy, as this is just manufactured to keep him detained.
Everyone should worry about Kiduku, as it is a sign of the times and what the CCM is willing to do. This is who the CCM is and how they fear the truth. How the CCM fears the freedom of speech and liberty of the citizens. They are just to bow down to the party and be grateful for their existence. Peace.

The two-page indictment of former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director James Comey is really not all that. The release of that and making of a case against him is just blatantly bad and shoddy.
This is the start of political prosecution and the start of targeting enemies of the state. This is the Republic going after the ones the President doesn’t like or has had history about. We know Comey and Donald J. Trump aren’t on friendly terms and this been publicly known for years. So, we all know why this is happening.
The ones believing this case and thinking it will sustain it. Well, this could easily end up with “no probable cause” and I don’t expect it do any magic. This will create some headlines, but I doubt this case to severe the reputation or destroy Comey. No, he will get away from this and can easily argue against it. His lawyers and representation could easily get it dismissed. There is no meat on the bone and what does the prosecutors has, which cannot be used against the ones serving in office now. They should be worried about the precedence they are sending and how they operate.
The indictment in itself is just weaponizing of the Department of Justice against detractors. That’s the beginning of this and should be recognized. Even if the indictment is so shoddy and has a lack of merit. Because that’s what we are seeing here and it’s so vague that it could possibly be about anything. That’s’ why you know they have no proper case or any sort of criminal conspiracy, which can be hold under discovery or even at trial. This won’t produce a conviction and is just a public humiliation of Comey.
That’s all it’s to it. There won’t be a punitive action against Comey. Neither will it changes who Comey is and what he did as a civil servant. Regardless of Trump’s retribution or not. This here won’t change a thing and will only be a spectacle… Peace.

“Together, we have been everywhere preaching the message of a New Uganda. And today, with this nomination, we start the final phase in our mission to freedom and true independence. Since our nation was born in 1962, every change of leadership has been written in blood. The blood and sacrifice of ordinary citizens of Uganda and yet the leaders who promise liberation have always delivered oppression. For 40 long years, one man and a small group of relatives and friends have ruled our country on gunpoint. They have looted the nation and turned every institution of government into a tool of oppression. They have reduced the citizens of Uganda into slaves on their own land. They have turned our poverty into a weapon of control” (Bobi Wine, 24.09.2025).
Yesterday was the second time that Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and the National Unity Platform (NUP) was nominated as the Presidential Candidate representing his party. He spoke with force and conviction. Bobi Wine is proving why a skilled orator and politician. That’s why the promise of a New Uganda isn’t new either, but it is a compelling story that needs to be told. As the regime and the oppressors isn’t gearing down.
“I know some of you are already asking: Why vote again after what happened in 2021? Why do we risk it, the teargas, the bullets, the prisons, the torture chambers and even death which is awaiting for us? My answer to you is this: We risk it all because the alternative is giving up and that’s 10 times worse. If we give up now; we shall have no moral authority to complain about what happens next. If we surrender now, that means that the fighting spirit Ritah Nabukenya, of Frank Senteza, of Yasin Kauma and many others has been defeated. It means they died in vain. It means betrayal of our comrades who have spent years in prison counting on us who are still ‘free’ to continue fighting for their freedom too” (Bobi Wine, 24.09.2025).
Bobi Wine knows what is ahead and what at stake. He knows very well the costs and the burden of campaigning. He saw it last time and it won’t be any different this time around. The party and Presidential Candidate knows the treacherous terrain his going into. The NUP and Bobi Wine will be in trouble, and it is coming. He will be in pain and others surrounding him will feel it too. There will be more victims and more people hurt in this campaign too.
“To Gen Museveni: I know you don’t like to listen to young people, but atleast listen to your friend Gen. Kahinda Otafire. Uganda was here before you, and Uganda will remain long after you are gone. You don’t have to burn it down on your way out. The best guarantee for your legacy and for your security, and for what you and your people have earned in the last 40 years is to allow a peaceful and democratic transition. That opportunity is available and we are not a vengeful people. We still believe in peace, we believe in justice and we believe in reconciliation” (Bobi Wine, 24.09.2025).
This plea will go nowhere. Museveni won’t listen to reason or anything else. If so, he wouldn’t have walked this journey of President for Life. That when he would have stepped down already and never altered the 1995 Constitution for own personal reasons. He wants to protect his gains and that’s why his still there. All the other matters are on the back-burner and he don’t mind the consequences. Museveni just wants to rule indefinitely and has no other plan.
“Today, as we go into what is likely to be an even more violent campaign, I will rely on you more than ever. We are embarking on a long walk to freedom. Whatever lies ahead of us, is going to test everything we are and everything we stand for.But freedom has never comes easily. Our grandparents shed blood for independence 62 years ago. Our parents shed blood for what they thought was a liberation 40 years ago. Our comrades, in this generation, are in prison for this very struggle; they have shed blood for this struggle. Many of them are missing and they don’t even have graves, for this struggle. Let us carry on their mission. The same courage and discipline that have kept us going since 2017 until today, should carry us through this campaign” (Bobi Wine, 24.09.2025).
This is just stating the true state of affairs, but it tells what he expects to come. It is just tragic that a Presidential Candidate has to say these words and state it’s like this. Because, this shows how sinister the state is and what it does to dissidents. This isn’t spreading fear, but acknowledging the possible outcome of the campaigns and elections for his people. That they are getting kidnapped, tortured and possibly die for the cause. Imagine being told that and it’s for one man being on the ballot, instead of the President since 1986. That’s where we are in 2025 and that’s grim.
“So prepare yourselves, hug your loved ones one final time and tell them that we are going to war. A war we never chose but was imposed on us by our oppressors. We’re facing an enemy armed to the teeth but we are bare-handed. Only armed with the truth and God. We’re fighting for our God-given right to live like full human beings in our country. We will never give up until we are free. And we shall be free in the end” (Bobi Wine, 24.09.2025).
This here is a memo. The Nomination Speech is compelling and a chilling one. Anyone who is following should be worried and concerned. There was nothing revolutionary in it, but a statement of honest sincerity of the cost and the willingness to want change. Alas, the burden is there and someone will pay the price, because that freedom and liberty isn’t given. That is the true reality here, as the one in power isn’t bestowing it onto others. Therefore, this is a long journey and it’s far from over. Peace.
