Tanzania: President Idi Amin Mama rants some more

“Statistics are being released right now, several government buildings have been burned, several projects built for the benefit of the people have been burned, petrol stations, private businesses of the people, government vehicles, many police stations have been burned, now I want us to have a name for this, is it a protest or a riot? The protests we are used to and accept in the Constitution are those where people are upset with something, we ask that we march together to explain, we will go from one point to Mnazimjoma or anywhere else with banners explaining our grievances and the police are escorting them well until they arrive” (…) ”What are you going to do with burning government projects, police stations and at the police station? Is it to invade and get weapons, what is the purpose of having weapons in hand? These were not protests, they were riots organized for a specific purpose” (…) “The government is responsible, we swear to protect the borders of this country and protect citizens and their property, in that case the force used is consistent with the current incident, now when we are told we used a lot of force in that incident… what was the minimum force?, it was Let’s look at the protesters who are prepared to make a revolution until they succeed? Will there really be a State then? The State does not exist like that” (..) “And not only in Tanzania but also in other countries, when people protest, they use great force, now when they come to punish us, you used great force, what did they want? Let’s ask ourselves, are these the Benefactors of what happened? Did they want us to look at the mob until it succeeds, what did they give them money, what did they send them? No, we swore to protect this country and its borders, the security of citizens and their property, so as they do, we will do the same to protect our country” – President Samia Suluhu Hassan (02.12.2025)

The ones that believe in the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and their head of state, President Samia Suluhu Hassan aka Mama Amin are lost causes. This should be a celebration tour and be a moment of giddiness, as she won with 97% and won the supreme majority in every sort of way. However, this woman is crying out loud and is mocking the suffering she caused on the population in the aftermath.

This lady thinks there is no consequences to what she did, what the state ordered and finalized after the polls. She acts like it was a revolutionary tale, but it was grievances and a loss of faith in the government and the authorities, as it stole the whole process and declared itself the winner. Meanwhile, with the supreme numbers there was no celebration, but people mourning their lost ones and the people hurt as a result. Therefore, she dares to spit on the graves and mock the deceased by saying these things.

She clearly only believes there will be a state and a nation, as long as she rules as an overlord and a tyrant. President Idi Amin Mama needs to use the iron fist and use bullets to prolong the agony. That’s what the state does, and this is how it won the elections. They had to block the opposition from running, organizing and even being able to gather. That’s what she did, and she didn’t even try to make it look like an honest process. No, this was just a joke of the “will of the people” because this was the will of President Idi Amin Mama and no one else.

The President should know that actions have consequences. The use of violence, oppression and lethal means costs. That burden is all on the Head of State and the one who issued the orders. This is what she wants and how she wants to be remembered. This is who she is and what sort of regime she runs. It is just mere impunity and misuse of power.

She can spew this sort of nonsense and win herself praise among her own. However, no one is buying this. Because where is the celebrations and the victory lap… there should be massive joy and happiness in the nation. Nevertheless, there is none of that and it is visible. She can rant and run her mouth, but the skulls speak for themselves. The deceased and the killed innocent civilians say it all. Peace.

South Sudan: A plane hijacked in Maiwut and diverted to Wau

The South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SSCAA) confirms that an aircraft operating a domestic flight earlier today was diverted to Wau, where it landed safely without any reported injuries to passengers or crew. Upon landing, the situation was immediately contained through coordinated efforts between the flight crew, local airport authorities, and security agencies. At this stage, details surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Relevant security and aviation authorities are currently conducting a joint assessment to establish the facts and determine any necessary follow-up actions” (South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, 02.12.2025).

Samaritan’s Purse Caravan aircraft flying to Maiwut in South Sudan’s Upper Nile hijacked and forced to divert to Wau. The suspect allegedly held the pilot at gunpoint and demanded to be flown to Chad. The plane landed safely in Wau and authorities have launched an investigation” (Fauxile Kibet, 02.12.2025).

The South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SSCAA) and the authorities has to ensure the airports and security surrounding the scheduled flights in the Republic. Today’s news is telling the security protocol and the routines of the airport staff isn’t upheld or up to standard. There should be worry about what could happen and what are allowed to enter a plane in South Sudan.

This was a humanitarian flight of the Samaritan’s Purse Caravan. It wasn’t a commercial flight or a public transport, but the one of a kind to either move certain logistical goods or vital personnel from one part to another. Therefore, they had seen the need for this and had a mission to achieve. However, that was thwarted and endangered by a man with a gun.

That the person was allowed to enter and held a lethal weapon should be recognized first. In many places you cannot even enter a plane at an airport if you have a water-bottle or even worse a nail-cutter. Here someone was able and got the clearance to enter the aircraft with a gun. A gun he had access too and was able to use. This shows there is more to this and there is an untold story here.

We can wonder when the SSCAA will drop more knowledge and release information about this here flight. However, this here is a warning and there is a need for additional security arrangements at the airports of the Republic. This shouldn’t happen and is showing the need for strengthening the institution of the nation. That’s for the safety of the pilots, the staff of the planes and for the passengers too. They all need the authorities to work and have everyone complying to their regulations.

Here someone was relaxed about it all and let it slide. There was something that gave way and that endangered the whole flight. They were close to crossing internation borders and doing so at gun-point. That’s saying something. Peace.
