Sudan: Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) – Press Statement Regarding the Crime of Targeting Displaced Sudanese in the City of Al-Sunut in Kordofan (16.02.2026)

In a new crime added to the record of atrocities committed by the Muslim Brotherhood army and its allied militias, this army carried out an attack on an IDPs center in the city of Al-Sunut, West Kordofan State. The shelter was located in the city’s veterinary clinic building.

This criminal attack resulted in the killing of twenty-eight displaced civilians, including nine women and twelve children, in a blatant violation of all humanitarian and international laws and norms that criminalize the targeting of civilians and their places of refuge.

The criminal policy of apartheid pursued by this terrorist army, its militias, and brigades «through targeting civilians from both rural and urban communities in Kordofan and Darfur» will not achieve its malicious objectives of sowing division and igniting racism and tribal conflict among the Sudanese people. On the contrary, it further strengthens the conviction among Sudanese people of the necessity to uproot the cancer of the Islamist movement, its criminal organization, and its terrorist army.

The world has spoken at length about apartheid policies in various places, yet it remains silent towards the practices carried out by the Muslim Brotherhood army in Sudan, which rank among the worst.

We in the Sudan Founding Alliance will continue our struggle until these terrorists are eradicated. We call on the Sudanese people to deny them the opportunity and to firmly confront the speech of racism and hatred these terrorists seek to spread among Sudanese people.

Mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs, a speedy recovery for the wounded, and freedom for our beloved Sudan.

The revolution continues
