We are now in 2025 and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is still in power. There is “no change” and that’s what President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni promised years ago. He came in and offered his own style of stability. As he decrees every nit-picking policy and uses the army in all sorts of civilian affairs. The army and the security organizations are there to serve the President and his inner-circle. Therefore, we are here and we can wonder why things aren’t getting better.
The ones getting tired of the tweets of General Muhoozi Kainerubaga. I get you and I apologize, but its easy listening or writing for that matter. That is so easy to discuss, as he screams into the void about KaBobi. That’s what he does and we know he gives him sleepless nights.
With this in mind, there is discussions of what Muhoozi is alleging in regards to KaBobi. We know that this is a given, as the son of the President sways power and is the Commander of the Army. He is an insider, but at the same time. His an inept and lacks tact of a man of his stature. Just a pure brute who will frivolously be proud of his entitlement and arrogance. Which is why I take his words with a grain of salt. Not that his threats are taken lightly, but his allegations against others. As it is used as a tool to trick the masses.
Just like the continued path of Paid Opposition. That there are parties and political leaders that are funded and operated directly by the state. They are pawns and useful tools for the “multi-party” universe, but only there to sow discontent among the opposition itself. The leaders are there to sow disunity and be voices of firebrand people who isn’t worried about getting elected, but are there to attack other opposition leaders. Therefore, Muhoozi using KaBobi is to weaken him and saying he was put there to weaken Besigye.
That is an old tale, but we have heard it before. The tales of moles and tricks of this trade. There is questionable characters and mavericks within the opposition. Opposition leaders who can easily trade their principles over a few silver coins. That is a given and the hunger is real. We cannot blame that or think people wouldn’t be bought. Especially if the trade-off was easy and the cash felt like abundance. That’s why several of people who was affiliated and allies of KaBobi has already jumped ship and become stooges of the set-government. Therefore, the belief that KaBobi would be a pawn is laughable at best.
Neither is there a cause of Bobi Wine being used to weaken Besigye. Especially when Besigye has fought a battle within the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). The dirty money wounded the FDC and how it operated. Which is why Besigye didn’t accept another time to run as Presidential Candidate and neither be an activist for Patrick Oboi Amuriat in 2021. He was angry and infuriated at what the party did. That’s why his busy building another party on the wounds and on the fabric of allies who behold to his principles. Therefore, Muhoozi needs a better story and we cannot believe it now.
Especially, when we know what KaBobi and the National Unity Platform (NUP) has gone through. The President and the NRM wouldn’t go “ghetto” if it wasn’t for Bobi Wine. That is the reality. Neither would they try to dissolve it or use every avenue to destroy it. That’s why the story of Muhoozi doesn’t add up. He needs a better lecturer and a story teller. This is just hogwash and needs to be called out.
Muhoozi won’t tell the truth. Neither will the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) or the NRM. Their truths are hidden in plain sight. Museveni don’t want the truth and neither anyone associated around him. They fear the truth, because that light would expose their darkness. That sort of story they don’t want published. They rather want us to discuss bening tweets of the General, instead of seeing the sinister sides of their reign. That’s an easy trade and they are cracking jokes at this at the State House. Peace.
