The brotherhood and friendship between Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and President Isaias Afewerki are definitely destroyed to no return. There is no love lost now between Addis Ababa and Asmara. The State of Eritrea is surely not giving way to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. That’s what I am seeing.
The ones trifecta of armies attacking and invading the Northern Region or Tigray region is now turning on each other. It started with the attacks and inside war in Amhara region against Fano. Fano who was a part of the warfare in the North. The bloody and genocidal war was orchestrated by ENDF, EDF and Fano. All of them did it in coordination and it has been evident.
We know that Eritrea doesn’t want to be accountable and be transparent about their activity. They have dismissed it all along. That’s well known and we shouldn’t be shocked by it either. Because, the PIA and leadership of Asmara doesn’t want to be held accountable for their actions and there is nothing new in that. Everyone who has followed them knows this.
That Ethiopia and Abiy is pushing the needle now is telling. As his using rhetoric and policies to push towards another conflict. He is making it seem like a legit fight and for a fair reason. Even when it never was and never ever been. This will be done for a wet dream and maritime territories in the Red Sea. That’s what this is all about and give himself a reason to annex Assab port.
The ones in power in Addis Ababa is just looking for an excuse and a probable cause to wage war. We are just awaiting another war-cry from Abiy. That’s what we sadly can await and we can see it coming. His just waiting for the moment and hoping to find a moment of weakness from Eritrea. That’s how it looks like and it’s clear as day.
It is sadly another conflict on the horizon. That would be that the total fallout from the Tripartite Alliance, as ENDF and EDF would fight each other. Just like the ENDF has fought Fano for a long time now in Amhara region. So, seriously, the warlords of Addis must be giddy and wanting to send drones into Eritrea. That’s what is missing now…
We doesn’t need more bullets and suffering, but that’s what is coming. We are just getting close to it. The last letter from the Ethiopia to Eritrea is stating this. They are making sure they have air-tight arguments and can wage war at any time. As they are doing it out of defence and with basis of territorial integrity. Which is ironic, as the same Republic allowed and entered war together on its territory with them. It is years apart by now, but that’s the gist of it.
We shouldn’t shed tears yet, but sooner or later innocent civilians will be hurt again over big-men’s ego’s and warlords quest to live large. Another warlord who wants to conquer and takeover another state’s territory. Peace.
