Drama at Nakawa, yet again!

Nakawa 01.06.2016

Today we’re a day that was waited for as Dr. Kizza Besigye was supposed to be driven through Kampala in haste as they did last time he was taken from Nakawa Court to Luzira. Today it was supposed to be back-and-fourth Luriza to the Nakawa Magistrate Court. But because of a person who follows him, he was not released to attend his own treason charge at Court.

Here is what happen:

“Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s Court in session without Dr Kizza Besigye. He hasn’t been produced due to “security reasons”. Prosecution say Kizza Besigye is not in court because he is a ‘security threat’ and want his case heard closer to Luzira Prison. Nakawa magistrate adjourns Kizza Besigye’s treason case to June 15 when he will consider whether to hear case in Nakawa or Luzira” (NBS TV Uganda, 01.06.2016).

Nakawa 01.06.2016 P2

“When The Investigator checked at the Luzira Maximum prisons gate, Besigye was whisked in a tinted bus escorted by three police patrol vehicles, and a lead Police sweeper. At Nakawa, the just elected Leader of Opposition in Parliament and Kasese Woman MP Winnie Kizza was among those who arrived first at the court premises. Others present are Ingrid Turinawe, the National Womens league chairperson, Kira Municipality MP Semujju Ibrahim Nganda, FDC Party President Gen. Mugisha Muntu and Kampala Lord Mayor Salongo Erias Lukwago as well as city laywer Yusuf Nsibambi Unlike the 18th March when Besigye first appeared, todays security is not so tight as most people have been allowed inside, though most roads leading to Nakawa court have been sealed off” (The Investigator, 01.06.2016).

As this also was said:

“Today’s date was set by presiding Chief Magistrate James Ereemye on May 18 when Dr Besigye made his maiden Nakawa Court appearance. The prosecution, led by Ms Doreen Elima, told court that they needed more time to continue carrying out investigations regarding Dr Besigye’s case file before asking for an adjournment to enable them carry on with the investigations” (103.2 OPG FM, 01.06.2016).

Nakawa 01.06.2016 P3

Well, the Nakawa Magistrate Court was more likely to follow the orders from upon high. As they have pushed the date again for his trial and also the place, as he will be courted in Luzira Prison instead of Nakawa Court, where there will be harder for the Opposition to follow the trial, some might have possibility to join as they are detained for being opposition of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

I am sure the reason for him not travelling through Kampala today, is that the people would surge around the car of Besigye and that would look terrible for the President Museveni, who has a state visit from Turkey. He does not want to lose face as he has closed so many streets downtown to make sure that nobody drives in sequence of the State Visits from both South Korea and Turkey. This proves that the donor-funds and military agreements are more important than both tourism and locals, as they have to take long routes from Kampala to Entebbe, or even struggle to pass certain parts of the Capital while the VIP and NRM Elite is enjoy the spotlight while the visitors are there.

This happens on the day that Besigye cannot cross town because he will make Museveni look like a loser. As the FDC Organization showed up at the Nakawa Court waiting for Besigye to show up, which he didn’t apparently… “So Activist Ingrid Turinawe, Nyanjura Doreen arrested and bundled in the notorious Noah UAT 018q. We are getting reports from them that the goons are torturing them with pepper spray inside the car” (Moses Atocon Atyekwo, 01.06.2016).

Nakawa 01.06.2016 P4 Torture Van

More on the Car:

“The notorious grey Noah which is the official Kifesi torture van that picked Ingrid Turinawe and Nyanjura Doreen today is travelling on a forged number plates” (Jersey Saprise, 01.06.2016).

There been reports later that the arrested are detained at the Kiira Road Police Station. This is happening while the “Techpreneur Samwyri released on bond, days after he was arrested for allegedly planning ‘illegal demonstrations’” (NBS TV Uganda, 01.06.2016).  So the guy working for Mr. Simon Tusiime and Vintage Creations for selling and producing Besigye T-Shirts; as the NBS reported this: “Mr Tusiime is known to his friends as ‘Samwyiri’. Today, his lawyers are expected to apply for bail. The charge(s) remain unclear. One of the most recent posts on his Facebook account encourages those interested in owning one of the black t-shirts emblazoned with the face of the leading opposition figure to get in touch” (NBS TV Uganda, 30.05.2016).  So as he was the grand producer of T-Shirts and not planning to revolt, but instead doing something as creating design on T-shirt after the FDC Presidential Candidate, and it happen to be popular, something that is hurting the pride of the Museveni.

So there is good news as Besigye lingers in Luzira Prison, as Ingrid Turinawe and Doreen Nyanjura are in custody at Kiira Road Police Station. There are finally released the man who made some T-Shirts.

This is enough for now. More to come as it happens the stories on jail and detaining of Forum for Democratic Change will not stop all of sudden as long as the NRM Regime continues their work of silencing and crashing the opposition. This will happen with force in this term and with torture, as President Museveni doesn’t have any scruples anymore or pride in his democratic values or breaches of decent human rights, unless it is his rights of eating of the whole states plate and the Ugandan government funds. Peace.

Museveni State of the Nation Address 2016: Guns and Glamour, but nothing worth listening too…

museveni and his gun

“I’ve been dealing with guns a long time, I know the cost of an AK47 in China and Yugoslavia. You can’t cheat me of that” – Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

I should listen and care about what President Museveni says in the State of the Nation Address today, well, I don’t he will proclaim to be the most genuine democrat, the grand master who have made such progress, and on the way to middle Income Country. He will proclaim the soon added revenue of Petroleum Money. That he and his cronies are fighting corruption, while buying suits to vote in Hon. Oulanyah for Deputy Speaker in Parliament.

He will say that Uganda is the epitome democracy, where we all can learn from and where Human Rights are respected. When he speaks of democracy is that his words are law and his action becomes regulation of state. That has secured the nation and boundaries. The level of growth, the growing levels of cash crops like Coffee, Tea and others are steady growing.

State of Nation 2016 Uganda

“IN PROTEST: Opposition MPs Allan Ssewanyana (Makindye West) & Mubarak Munyagwa (Kawempe South) walk out of the hall after being ordered by the speaker to put down their placards. The placards had words “Release Besigye”” (Daily Monitor, 31.05.2016).

As he continues he will speculate and say that it’s the citizens or politician that is the blame for the corrupt behavior, not him or his allies. Because the resistance will clear that out in the Army, civil servants or politicians; Well, he have run the nation for 30 years, but still have issues with the same as when he came in. Now the name has changed, it isn’t Yugoslavia anymore. President Museveni either buys from Serbia, Montenegro or Croatia for instance, but that European Politics isn’t important. The place only matter as long as he gets his weapons to a fair price. And can use them against opposition or made-up opponent in the land. Maybe even for some of African Union Peacekeeping missions.

Not forget every-time he speaks he have to come with close advice for small acre farmers who needs to handpick certain vegetables to become wealthy, as the Operation Wealth Creation and other schemes he have made and hired Gen. Salim Selah to run is the best option for the Nation.

Ugandan state is good, as long as they don’t question his government. As long as they are nodding to his words of wisdom; because his vision and his changes is the healthy ones, not what the other people they are talking nonsense, they are not resistance fighters! You need Resistance Fighters and need Bush War ego to run Uganda and President Museveni have that.

Just as he was saying this today:

“Some commercial banks and money lenders use unethical methods to steal Ugandans, we will deal with them” (…)”There is the problem of Government not paying arrears of private companies that supplied to Government” (…)”Companies that supplied to the Government of South Sudan but were not paid, I’ve already directed government to help them” – Yoweri Kagtuta Museveni

Because it is not the Ugandan Government who is the problem and how they are handling their procurement or the use of money, it is the banks that are the problem in Uganda. If not there are examples of South Sudan Government that have not made amendments with their imports from Uganda. So the President Museveni and his regime have to clear the slate for their misgivings, because he doesn’t make anything wrong, it is everybody else. He is never at fault and that is consistant with every move he have ever done. It was Idi Amin who was the problem, it was Obote who was the Issue. Now it is the Western Powers and Aid that is the issue, while he doesn’t complain with new-money and aid from South Korea or others as long as they doesn’t put strings on the money!

I will not release the whole State of Nation this year, because, why bother? He is a blatant totalitarian ruler, who uses his police state to apprehend opposition and detain his arch-enemy in Luzira while he proclaims democracy. A man who does that does not deserve to get his voice and his whole speech delivered online. That is waste of energy, right?

So he would speak of what I talked about and I found some wonderful quotes that shows the arrogance and the rigid mind of Museveni of 2016. Who has all the answers and blames others when the system doesn’t work, even if he has been behind the project since 1986. That is the irony and sadness of the matter. Peace.

Audio: Uganda – only severing security ties with North Korea

Uganda says it will cut security ties with North Korea following the visit of South Korea’s president Park Geun hye. Uganda is one of North Korea’s allies in Africa and has had diplomatic relations since 1963. Pyonyang’s training programmes for Uganda’s police and army date back to the early 70s under the rule of Idi Amin Dada. But after meeting his South Korean counterpart, President Yoweri Museveni said Uganda would enforce the United Nations Security Council resolutions banning North Korea from all military links with foreign countries. Sam Kutesa, Uganda’s Foreign Affairs minister, told RFI’s Zeenat Hansrod – @zxnt – that his country is not severing all ties with North Korea” (RFI, 30.05.2016=

Ugandan President Museveni trades his North Korean Agreements with Development Projects from the South Korea, today!

South Korea Uganda 29.05.2016

President Museveni is always not caring about his relations, if it is internal or external. The Ugandan Government has the Foreign Affairs through Hon. Sam Kuteesa, who compliments the attraction and biddings for export from Ugandan currency and resources. The South Korean does this do to not lag behind Japan or China in Africa. They want to be the same kind of power in East Africa, now South Korea will take the spoils from their long-term enemy of North Korea at the same time. As the DPRK will be more isolated and lose one ally that have given needed currency to the country as they have trained Military and Police in Uganda.

“When Museveni visited South Korea in May and met with South Korean President Park Geun-hye, he used a Korean-language greeting he said he had learned personally from North Korea’s founding leader, Kim Il Sung” (Fisher, 2013).

Historical relations between DPRK and Uganda:

“Yet on October 29, 2014, Kim Yong Nam, Chairman of the Presidium of the DPRK’s Supreme People’s Assembly, arrived in Kampala to a hero’s welcome. Over four days, Kim met with the Ugandan President, Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister amongst others, and had a state banquet thrown in his honor” (…)”Not long after the current President, Yoweri Museveni, took office in January 1986, he asked DPRK officers to train police forces and National Resistance Army fighters to use the weapons that preceding governments had acquired from Pyongyang. President Museveni ordered new stock as well. A consignment of North Korean weapons, including surface-to-air missiles and rocket launchers, arrived in Tanzania in 1987 destined for onward shipment to Uganda. Further arms transactions took place over the next two year” (…)”It seems widely accepted that China provided assistance with the construction and operation of the factory, which is owned by Luwero Industries Ltd. Some unconfirmed reports, however, point to North Korean involvement as well. Limited evidence is available to support this claim. Discussion forums for Ugandans, for example, reveal complaints dating to 2004 from residents living near the Nakasongola complex. North Koreans reportedly living on Luwero Industries land had been given free rein to fish in nearby lakes, sending the price of certain fish types skyrocketing at local markets. If true, North Korean personnel may have been involved in the day-to-day execution of Luwero Industries business, at least until 2004” (Berger, 2014).

Museveni and South Korean President Today:

“I have instructed officials to faithfully enforce the U.N. Security Council resolution, including suspension of cooperation with North Korea in the security, military and police sectors,” Museveni said in a summit with his South Korean counterpart Park Geun-hye, according to South Korean presidential spokesman Jeong Yeon-guk” (…)”Uganda has been maintaining military cooperation with North Korea, and the long-time Ugandan leader has visited Pyongyang three times. Some 50 North Korean military and police personnel are believed to be working in Uganda, according to South Korea” (…)”After the summit, Park and Museveni watched as their representatives signed 10 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) between the two nations” (…)”The MOUs call for, among other things, bilateral cooperation in the energy and plant sector, a move that Seoul says could help South Korean companies make inroads into Uganda’s infrastructure market” (…)”A consortium led by GS Engineering & Construction Co., a major South Korean construction firm, has been in talks with Uganda over a US$1.5 billion project to build a refinery near Hoima in western Uganda” (Yonhap News, 2016).

South Korea Uganda 29.05.2016 P2

The money from the Military training and the investment with North Korea cannot be sustained compared with the planned investment from South Korea in Uganda. The Ugandan Government and NRM Regime will regain more money from South Korea, than what they spend with the mutual military and police training with North Korea.

The South Korean are also able to suspend the agreement with North Korea that is a diplomatic win for the Republic of South Korea towards the DPRK. This proves that Asian problematic relations also can give golden currency in the coffers of Bank of Uganda. Money is needed together with the development projects and industry that the Ugandan nation needs.

President Museveni learned Korean from the first North Korean dictator, so that he could speak wisely to the South Korean President of the day. This also leads to good relations and respect of the newly agreed projects and used of wisdom from the new allies and trading partner. The only thing Museveni had to give away was the paid North Korean working in the land and for that he is getting aid and funds for development. Which in all kind of diplomacy is an easy trade, even if it is giving away a long time friendly relationship with North Korea; that is not so important as the new money flooding into Uganda. So if you have had a long-term relationship with the NRM regime and now sees a buck in switching guards. Expect them to do so.

Message from DPRK News Service:

“Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un said to be greatest friend a good man could wish for, and worst enemy a malefactor could dread” (DPRK News Service, 29.05.2016).

Not that I am a man for the DPRK, they are venomous regime who uses their people’s as pawns so the so-called communist party can shoot at anything flying or floating at their shores. DPRK are such a lovely paradise that only Dennis Rodman enjoys a cup of coffee in Pyongyang.

So that the DPRK gets less currency and gets more closed by foreign relations as Uganda, is positive, since they have soon only the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Russian Federation. That must hurt unless Tahiti needs military training or something. Until then they are very isolated. The Ugandan does not this because of their ethical behavior, because Museveni and his regime have not cared in the past, so why now?

They does it now to do something that is a goodwill, to silence the United Nations and also the most important is that instead of paying DPRK for services, when the South Korean will offer cash and development, plus the Ugandan get rid of one mosquito in the old feud of agreement with military training from North Korea. So he trades cholera with candy. Peace.
