Nkunyingi Muwada MP: Statement on Life and Service Threats towards US Ambassador to Uganda by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces (07.10.2024)

Opinion: Muhoozi’s braggadocio goes nowhere…

“If this current US Ambassador does not apologize to Mzee personally by Monday morning (9.00am) for his undiplomatic behaviour in our country we will demand he leaves Uganda. We have no problem with the USA, as I have said many times it is a country we love and admire. But lately we have a lot of evidence that they have been working against the NRM government” – Genal Muhoozi Kainerubaga (04.06.2024).

“Fellow Ugandans, it is my solemn duty to announce to you all that we as a nation are about to have a serious confrontation with the current US Ambassador to our country. For disrespecting our beloved and celebrated President and for undermining the constitution of Uganda” – Genal Muhoozi Kainerubaga (04.06.2024).

We are living in interesting times, as if the role, the high ranking official and first son is allowed to do whatever. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other entities are just silent. They are not reacting to the Commander of Defence Force (CDF) and his whims. No, they are allowing it and he can cause a stir across the borders.

This weekend it happened again. Now he went after the United States of America Ambassador William Popp. Certainly, the recent sanctions and such has hit the pride of the CDF. The manner of which certain Police Officers are now targeted by that. However, there is nothing stopping the co-operation, the bilateral aid or anything in this regard to the Republic. No, that continues like normal still.

It is just a spectacle and a loose mouth. A person that lacks decorum and the ability to read the room. If he has these grievances and such, he should speak to his father and the ask the system through the diplomatic channels to get to the U.S. Ambassador. Instead, he boosted his ego online and later deleted them. Like we couldn’t see it coming.

The CDF is forgetting his place. His arrogance and ignorance are so blatantly clear. He is jaded by ego and lack of proper protocol. Muhoozi needs lessons in civics and diplomacy, as he is just a brat and someone who have lived a shielded life in entitlement.

Others would have had to resign over this. Heck, the Nairobi tweets and invasion threats would have been the demise of others. His father said he should focus on sports, and he never did. That’s why it’s really special how he can get away from it. Only because of his bloodline and who his related too. If he was an ordinary joe… he would be a fallen soldier already. No, his defended and allowed to act this way.

He will only continue with these sorts of rants online. Because nothing is stopping him. Neither is there any punitive actions or downfall for him. His allowed to act like this and gets away with it.

Gen. Muhoozi Kainerubaga thinks he can inherit the throne and continue the legacy of his father. He finds himself youthful, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. He is ticking closer to retirement age than the youth. That’s where he is…

The General needs to find other places to vent and place his ideas. To do that in social media only erodes his office and his supposed image. Not that he can spoil the vision we all have of him, but everyone now see him for who he is.

He is lucky to get where his at and without much merits to do so. Allowed to joke around with his political gambits, meanwhile working within army. Others would have lost rank and been thrown out easily. Therefore, we know the difference between him and them. That is shown again, and again.

It isn’t even funny anymore, but just status quo. The father, the son and mama Janet. Those are the trinity of nepotism in the Republic. Peace.

Opinion: We are not supposed to dishonour the Fountain of Honour…

“The abuse of the President of the Republic of Uganda is an offence. The President of Uganda is the Fountain of Honour. And any actions trying to undermine the Fountain of Honour, either in words or actions are; can attract prosecution. We are going to look into this and shall take appropriate action” – Police Spokesperson ACP Rusoke Kituuma (30.09.2024).

Yet again… we are getting the memo.

I know, I know… we have heard this all before and all possible ways. We are supposed to be productive people and working hard on the fields. Supposed to create the Middle-Income Nation and not be lazy. I know…

The Uganda Police Force is now telling the people of the Republic to respect, honour and not disrespect the President. No one should abuse, annoy or use words of ill-will in regards of the Head of State.

The UPF Spokesperson should think of the words the President uses too. He has a rhetoric calling people lazy, saying his enemies are pigs or insects. That he will crash and crush his opposition. That’s who the President and supposed “fountain of honour” are and he needs to addressed for just that.

I know, I know, we are supposed to respect and treat the Head of State in another way than others. His supposed to be honoured and be the special one. Meanwhile, his treating people like beneath him and his underlings that’s supposed to beg for mercy.

It’s hard not to talk ill about someone that took power by the gun and never retired. Someone who has been in office since 1986 and has several mysterious deaths surrounding him. Secondly, he has a violent past and used force to get his way. A man who has used the military, the para-military and other means to get an upper-hand across the region too. Therefore, a bloody violent man who will be remembered for just that. He didn’t win the popular vote, but coup d’etat himself into existence.

That’s why we can’t just mesmerize the crowds, as extra-judicial killings goes unanswered, pollical enemies are captive and kept incommunicado. The usage of the authorities to spellbound and keep political parties stifled. That’s what the President does and he creates a lot of victims of his ways. Several people are prisoners of conscience and others are barred from doing their lives. People are tortured for standing up for their rights or others. Meanwhile other goes missing or worse, they are dead and there is no justice for their lives.

When we know about just that… the drones and all the other techniques, the “safe-houses”. We are jus supposed to speak nicely and softly about the President. That’s obnoxious and outrageous. The President should be held accountable for all the action, micro-management and misuse of office. If that is a annoying or abuse. Let it be… he should carry the weight of the crown. Heavy is the head that wears the crown…

Here ye, here ye, well… we know, yes, we know… this goes in circle. The Police Spokesperson isn’t the first one to state this. Neither to use the law and arrest someone for tweeting, social media posting or whatnot. That has happened in the past and will happen again. It is to send a message and get the public aware of what they cannot say or do.

It isn’t noble, but that’s what a man does when he takes power by force. He wasn’t elected or selected even. No, he took power by the gun and never looked back. No, he wants to die in office and everyone is taken for the ride. The modern day Mobutu, but now of Uganda instead of the DRC.

Well… he we go again… and again… and again… and again. It never stops. As long as the person has pulse and breathes. These sorts of motions go along. A never-ending story. We just know and he knows too. Peace.

Opinion: Bobi Wine will “rinse and repeat”

The ones that think the 2026 General Election will be any different than the previous ones are false. This is doing the same thing again and expecting another type of result. However, that is lunacy and idiotic….

Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine isn’t stupid, neither is his team and supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP). The NUP will then run their second campaign and trying to establish itself as a viable option to the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Alas, that is given and is what it has too. The NUP and Bobi Wine had a red wave ahead of the 2021. Ever since Bobi Wine was elected as an MP, he galvanized the youth and reach new people. Therefore, he is a threat to the status quo and the elites of the nation. Nevertheless, we know the gig and the game’s that are in play.

He might be able to steer the ship and be able to continue the progress of the party in the midst of trouble. The Party President and leader of the NUP might be able to continue to be the biggest opposition party. However, that isn’t the cause and the reason for the existence of the NUP. That’s just making the People Power operational and a part of a new political elite…

Bobi Wine fought to get rid of dictator. His party was supposed to be revolutionary and be different than the predecessors in the opposition. The smartness and wit of the party was to be vastly changing the terrain. Nevertheless, it was meant to be deeper than this…

The NUP and Bobi Wine needs to engage and be part of it. To totally disassociate or be disengaged from the General Election will be to costly  at this point. They need the MPs and the polls to be viable. However, it is a race where we know the winner and who will have the majority. The NUP and the other opposition parties will only get a fringe minority and not have a final say in the end. It doesn’t matter how they do it or what they do. In the end…

Bobi Wine will fall.. the numbers this time around might be different, but the result is the same. NRM and Museveni will win. The NRM will gerrymander and ensure total control of the Parliament. The Presidency will Museveni’s regardless of his real popularity or not.

Bobi Wine can do this a second time. His within his rights to stand and be a Presidential Candidate. By him doing so… his legitimizing the affairs and contests in a ill-willed elections. That’s what his doing and continuing the path of the predecessors that went nowhere as well.

Just like Besigye stood countless times up to Museveni. Bobi Wine is continuing this tradition. His NUP is taking the place of the FDC. However, things aren’t really changing and only the name on the ballots. The rest is more of the same and we are repeating the sins of the past. Peace.

Opinion: Janet has forgotten her own past…

“Don’t be tempted to leave Uganda to spend your early years of strength and productivity developing other countries at the expense of your country….. those countries we admire and would give anything to live in were built by their citizens through years of hard work and sacrifice. Our own homeland deserves no less determination” – Janet Museveni (25.09.2024).

“In February 1981; Janet Museveni and her children re-located to Nairobi, Kenya, where they lived with family friends until 1983. In 1983, they moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, and stayed there until May 1986, four months after Yoweri Museveni’s National Resistance Army had seized power in Kampala” (Team Yoweri 24/7, 24.07.2020).

Yes, the 1980s was different and yes her situation was vastly different than for the youths today. The generation that decides to leave and find greener pastures on the outside of the Republic. Who can blame them?

This is the system and the administration that has been in control since January 1986. The President and his men are the reason for people leaving. They haven’t created markets, functioning society or even policies that are beneficial for the citizens. That’s why they are leaving and trying to find better options elsewhere. It is the failure of the state to provide, ensure and secure the livelihood of its citizens. That’s why they are going elsewhere and migrating.

The First Lady and Minister of Education should understand this sentiment, as her and her kids all went into exile. The ones going to exile today is because of her husband and the family reign over the last few decades. That’s because of her husband and his tyranny. This is why people are leaving and a concept that the First Lady cannot comprehend.

She is living in a delusion, because of the wealth and the entitlement she has over decades of spoils. The President and herself have been living lavish. They have built themselves an empire over the capture of the state. That’s what they have been busy doing and now they cannot accept that people are left behind as a consequence of that.

Janet Museveni should look into herself and wonder why she left into exile in the first place. She should think and reminisce about the past. That would be healthy for her and the state of mind she could have. Especially, when she is busy trying to lecture people. The people who her and her husband’s administration has left behind. They are the ones that haven’t made it possible or viable to work within the Republic. That’s the bleak reality and the First Lady should understand this. However, she rather be arrogant and obnoxious about it.

There is a need for the First Lady to reflect on why she went to Tanzania, Kenya and Sweden herself. She should be the one that understand the implications and the need to leave. As she did that for her own safety and her family. Now others are doing the same for similar reasons. Now it isn’t guerrilla warfare, but a system built for a chosen elite and not the public at large. That’s why people are leaving and we cannot blame them.

This is the fault of the system and the ones in charge. Janet is part of the problem and so is her husband. The family which went into exile are now responsible for others doing the same. Now they are in power, and they are creating the same vacuum and reasoning to let other people flee the Republic too. That’s tragic, but the truth, nevertheless. Peace.

The KCCA is the way it is because of Mr. President…

“President Museveni has dismissed KCCA officials Dorothy Kisaka, Eng. David Luyimbazi, and Dr. Daniel Okello following an IGG report on the Kiteezi Landfill disaster that caused over 50 deaths” (UBC Uganda, 24.09.2024).

“To ensure a swift transition in leadership, the President has directed the Public Service Commission to advertise the positions of Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, and Director of Public Health, with a goal of appointing new officials within three months. Additionally, the Minister for Kampala is tasked with advising the President on interim appointments for these crucial positions to ensure that operations within KCCA continue without disruption until permanent replacements are in place. The President remains committed to upholding accountability and maintaining the highest standards of governance for the benefit of all citizens” (President Dismisses KCCA Officials Following IGG Report on Kiteezi Landfill Disaster, 24.09.2024).

We can act like this is a default setting, but the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and the KCCA Act is all made to shift the power-dynamics of the political space within the local government of Kampala. The KCCA was made to conquer and to control the elected officials of the city. That’s why the Executive Director and the Presidential Appointments have had more mandate or power than the elected ones.

This is why the Kiteezi landfill disaster is evident of a faulty structure. A structure with duplications, lack of monetary funds and without a proper steering mechanism. That even after several of technical leaders, technocrats and cronies are on the case. This is the issue with Kampala.

This isn’t the issue of the ceremonial leader of Lord Mayor or Deputy Lord Mayor. Not even the Division Mayors or Ward Councillors. No, these are just mere spectators to the magnitude of issues that is within the appointed officials of the KCCA. This is a prolonged process and stagnation, which is because of the wait for acknowledgement and the protocols between the appointed leaders. That’s why there is a lack of will and way…

The KCCA is bound to fail, and this puts all eyes on Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago. Even with the fall of the Executive Director, the Deputy Executive Director and others. They are all part of it, but the ones with the mandate and with power is the ED. The ED is the one that has the most opportunities and can connect itself to the Minister of Kampala. That’s where they can send messages and memos to the President. So, that things can be fixed, and the President can do his micro-management.

The KCCA was created because the President knew he didn’t have the popularity or the ability to get NRM councillors or elected officials ahead of the local government in the capital. That’s why he created it and no matter who the NRM has fielded. It hasn’t amounted to anything. This is why he had to create an entity over the City Hall to takeover without needing the ballots or the popular vote.

People must learn this that it all stems from the President. This is the President that took over and took power from City Hall. He decided that his appointees got the mandate and made the elected official mere shadow or ceremonial. Therefore, all the problems of KCCA and the leadership there is made problematic by the President. His will and his whims create this quagmire. That’s it. Peace.

The father forced the hands of his son…

No civilian will lead Uganda after President Museveni. The security forces will not allow it. The next leader will be a soldier or policeman” – General Muhoozi Kainerubaga (21.09.2024).

We all know where this one stems from, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. That the Commander of the Defence Forces and Son of His Excellency, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerubaga is saying this. The implications and what he has stated online over the weekend is clear.

The whole Twitter (X) posts are deliberate and with an extent to further his own cause. Even if it is half-assed and done to support his father. It wasn’t like Yoweri Kaguta Museveni would step down or retire. No, his father has no plans directly for succession or such. They are extending his Presidency for Life, as long as they can. They will push it until the inevitable.

Muhoozi will end up in the dilemma of the Mugabe family where Grace Mugabe called the shots, but Robert Mugabe was the Head of State. That’s where Muhoozi and the whole Museveni clan is going through as well. The natural ageing will commence with time and is only natural. That will have affects over time. That’s what we all know and we will see. They can try to hide and conceal it in public. However, Museveni is ageing and it will show with every given day.

General Muhoozi and “Project Muhoozi” is maybe on hold, but the influence is there. His Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) will be a part of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). The NRM we see now will be reflected by the PLU. The PLU will mirror the NRM and vice versa. They are the same coin, just either heads or tails.

We can see that Muhoozi won’t betray his father. He will be in the shadow and be a underling of him. Just like he was a Senior Presidential Advisor and now as a CDF. Muhoozi needs his father and cannot step out of that shadow. That’s evident and clear. There is no way out for him and his stuck in this quagmire. A quagmire created by his father and prolonging reign.

It is a sad state to be in. A man is in his fifties and clocking soon 60. While his father is still at the Helm and not planning to retire. This is what King Charles went through and had to wait for decades to takeover from Queen Elizabeth. Now, this isn’t a monarchy, even if some is acting like it is.

Muhoozi is showing that he lacks democratic principle’s and he will follow where his father left off. His entitlement and arrogance will be part of his downfall. Thinking that his above it all and untouchable. He will have to play games that his never prepared for and won’t be able to step into. No, one will see that he has the character or the ability to gain this trust.

The General is beholden to the past before he ever becomes the future. He cannot ascertain or accept the fact that his part of the problem and is eating of the plate. Muhoozi wouldn’t be where he is if it wasn’t for all of this. It isn’t like he has created or made a big splash on his own. That’s all because the state machinery is behind his father and his letting him play on his own. If he does that… he gets peace and possibly reach other people than he can himself. That’s why he hoped his son could be used to reach another generation or the ghettos for that matter. However, it is all built around him and with his influence. So, it won’t get really far…

This is all built on the NRM and the PLU will fold eventually, especially when the faucet and the blessings are drying up. It is all built around the anointed one and we cannot see a future with that surrounding it all. The son is doomed by the paradigm that his father has created.

You cannot win when you don’t play and you cannot win when your not allowed to play. That’s where Muhoozi is and he has to be a token soldier for his father. Peace.

The Disciples of Odrek Rwabwogo: Open letter to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni – Threats by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba against the Civilian Citizens of Uganda (21.09.2024)

National Unity Platform (NUP): Party President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu letter to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni – False Allegations that the National Unity Platform rigged One Million Votes in the Last Presidential Election (15.09.2024)

Opinion: Museveni has a million secret votes apparently…

I have now got all the evidence that in the last election, NUP cheated by one million votes. I have the facts. NUP can take me to court and say ‘Museveni has falsely accused them” – President Museveni (12.09.2024).

There been days and nights since the General Election of 2021. It is like a far distant memory cause of the COVID pandemic and everything that has gone on during the time. Feels like a decade has passed, but we are still in the same term and two years ahead of a 2026 elections.

Now that this is digested, we know how the state operates with the elections. They are part of it and it is all secured through the High Command. The NRM is the state and the state is the NRM. Museveni appoints and directs people he trusts to secure what needs and he has the final say. He uses all sorts of security agencies, deployment of law enforcement and media blackout to control his narrative. Therefore, anyone believing in the free and fair elections in the Republic is either blind or naive. In my life time… there never been a just election or a free one. No, it has been jaded ones and controlled operations to ensure NRM majority and the President for Life at the top.

That’s why yesterday’s statement in Munyonyo is foolish at best. When the Electoral Commission is his baby and they are directed by him. The authorities are all following his command and the opposition are barred from interacting or even operating to full capacity. Because the authorities and law enforcement blocks their entry and passage even during the elections road map. Therefore, the President is really talking out of terms when he claims what he claimed. There is no proof and no justification. Only self-projection, like we don’t know…

Just read the old and good wisdom of Tinye aka Tinyefuza aka General David Sejua!

The first is because of the nature of the current political structure in the country. Because the ruling party NRM is fused with the state, it is difficult to draw the line of who are real NRM supporters and those I consider INDIRECT CONSCRIPTS to the system. Since all the jobs are appended to the NRM party, including those in the Judiciary, parliament, civil service and even the OMBUDSMAN ( IGG) who must be a government functionary, people have lost the natural space to oppose the system. So the kind of opposition is COVERT (silent and hidden). That is why it is always a shock to Mr Museveni when he loses an election like what happened in Luweero recently. Or the many defeats he has suffered in Kampala city. To him, the easier explanation is that the opposition has stolen the vote! How can the opposition steal the vote when all the presiding officers are yours? The explanation here is simple. EVEN THOSE PRESIDING OFFICERS BELONG TO THE OPPOSITION AND SO DOES THE MAJORITY OF VOTERS. So the voting is genuine but he does not understand that his “conscripts” turn against him in the privacy of their voting booths. That is why armed thugs, in civilian clothes are now being trained so that they look into the voting booths in 2016 (the Kabalye graduates)” (Gen. David Sejusa – ‘ADDRESSING THE QUESTION OF UNITY/ COOPERATION FOR LIBERATION LEADERS’ 11.09.2014).

The words of Gen. Sejusa is now 10 years old, but is still relevant. It is the same President and same regime in charge. Things haven’t really changed and only a few modifications of empty suits and willing public servants to further the interests of NRM. That’s the only change and we know the elections are made to ensure longevity of Museveni and his party. This is the objective and what Museveni wants. He wants it to look legit and seem reasonable, but at the same time… he needs a majority in Parliament and in general in all elected offices. If he doesn’t get that… then he figures out ways to change the result and get the announced verdict that he needs. Therefore, everyone knows this aspect and elections are partly futile. Because, the end-game is the same and there isn’t really a say.

There is no will of the people, but the will of Museveni. So, when he speaks of stealing a million votes and he has the evidence. It is hogwash, when he gets his team to manufacture the results and ensure he has the upper-hand. That has been to perfection over the years. Every election since 2001 has been made in this fashion. Don’t matter who stood up against him. If it was Dr. Paul Ssemogerere, Dr. Kizza Besigye or Bobi Wine. Everyone was bound to fail and that’s for one reason.

The reason being Museveni himself. Museveni could never ever win in a fair fight. The Old Man with the Hat couldn’t win people’s hearts or their attention to get elected without the usage of violence, intimidation or election malpractices. There is a reason why Pre-Ticked Ballots is a thing. Why ballot-stuffing is a well known concept and the algorithms and Kiggundu math is subject that should be studied at Makerere or MUBS.

Seriously, this man needs to figure himself out. He claimed in 1981 that Obote stole his votes. Now in 2024 he claims Bobi Wine took his. Even a significant number, but not a substantial to change the “winner”. Therefore, who believes this nonsense and will we ever see the so-called evidence?

We haven’t seen the President dropping his credentials or paperwork like the opposition candidates has too. They have to be validated and certified to stand as a Flagbearer and a candidate for their party. However, the President doesn’t have to and can only use his thumb. That’s all he needs… and it shows how the system is rigged against the others.

So, if you believe Museveni in 2024. Please, re-read the wise words of Gen. Sejusa. He speaks the truth and a truth that resonate today. Peace.
