A memo on our dark times

And we are alive in amazing times

Delicate hearts, diabolical minds

Revelations, hatred, love and war

And more and more and more and more

And more of less than ever before

It’s just too much more for your mind to absorb

It’s scary like hell, but there’s no doubt

We can’t be alive in no time but NOW” Mos Def – ‘Life in Marvellous Times’ (2008)

Things will only get worse before it get better.

A war that we’re seeing in Ukraine will not cause things to get greater. Instead, things will only become more hostile and dire. European Union (EU), Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has to act swiftly as a European sovereign nation is invaded by a hostile force, which happens to be the Russian Federation.

Things will not get better, soon. No, it will not. Not as long as the weapons are used and people are dying in a conflict, which has been ordered by one man and his tyranny. No, the time we are living in now. We are living in the effects of one man’s will over another nation.

This is Putin’s war and nobody else. Yes, he has army commanders and cronies who helps him. The oligarchy and grand supporters. Still, it is his decrees and orders, which is the reason behind the war in Ukraine.

We in Europe are seeing what is happening. It is happening so close to the shores of other European nations. The fear is spread in the Baltic nations, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. While Poland, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria and even Turkey will call this all out. As Ukraine is all surrounding them and the Russian warfare is getting close to home.

That’s why this is a dark time. It is only the moon on the sky and the rest of dwindling lights is going away. As lives are taken and innocent lives are touched by one man war against another.

We will see markets crashing, spikes in prices and collapses of businesses. We will hear of lacking cereals, lack of wheat and whatnot. The Ukrainian forces will be marginalized … and be brutally slaughtered to the Russian army.

Europe will be altered for decades because of this. This war will make the tables turn and people will suffer. Especially in the Ukraine, but also in Russia. The innocent civilians … are the ones who is losing here. The ones who get caught in cross-fire.

The Russian Federation has decided this path and now things will change elsewhere. People will take sides and the war will show, which sides you are on. This war isn’t only on the sovereignty of Ukraine, but on European values. That’s the bleak reality here. As Putin has decided to be the judge, jury and the executioner at the same time.

We are living in dark times and it’s not getting brighter. The light is dim. There is still hope, but we have to be unified against the forces, which comes with ill and stand up for the rights, liberties and freedoms of brothers who are under siege by invaders.

Putin does this, but we shouldn’t accept it… and neither should anybody else. Peace.

Opinion: Putins’ War-Cry Part II

The war has started in Ukraine. Just as that is on-going, Russian President Vladimir Putin published today ‘Address by the President of the Russian Federation’. I will not look into the whole text, as it’s part II of what was said on the 21st February 2022. Three days after the invasion has started. Now his saying these things to defend his military orders and invasion of a sovereign. We know that Putin doesn’t value Ukraine statehood or as a sovereign nation. That is very obvious and clear. Therefore, the attacks will be defended by the rhetoric, but it isn’t righteous.

Just these words has to be addressed and not just accepted. As the Russian Federation is invading and taking over territory in Ukraine. The warfare has started, the bombs and the terror of infliction of war, which is happening now.

In this context I would like to address the citizens of Ukraine. In 2014, Russia was obliged to protect the people of Crimea and Sevastopol from those who you yourself call “nats.” The people of Crimea and Sevastopol made their choice in favour of being with their historical homeland, Russia, and we supported their choice. As I said, we could not act otherwise. The current events have nothing to do with a desire to infringe on the interests of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. They are connected with the defending Russia from those who have taken Ukraine hostage and are trying to use it against our country and our people. I reiterate: we are acting to defend ourselves from the threats created for us and from a worse peril than what is happening now. I am asking you, however hard this may be, to understand this and to work together with us so as to turn this tragic page as soon as possible and to move forward together, without allowing anyone to interfere in our affairs and our relations but developing them independently, so as to create favourable conditions for overcoming all these problems and to strengthen us from within as a single whole, despite the existence of state borders. I believe in this, in our common future” (Putin, 24.02.2022).

He calls this self-defence, but there haven’t been any sort of attack from Ukrainian forces. It has all been directed and co-ordinated by Russian and Russian supported separatists in Donbass. Therefore, Putin had decided the ordered war and conflict. Which was the reason for military operations and invasions of Ukraine. It is like he thinks he knows what the Ukrainian people wants. Alas, that is not the case and an unprovoked attack on a sovereign.

I would also like to address the military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Comrades, your fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers did not fight the Nazi occupiers and did not defend our common Motherland to allow today’s neo-Nazis to seize power in Ukraine. You swore the oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people and not to the junta, the people’s adversary which is plundering Ukraine and humiliating the Ukrainian people. I urge you to refuse to carry out their criminal orders. I urge you to immediately lay down arms and go home. I will explain what this means: the military personnel of the Ukrainian army who do this will be able to freely leave the zone of hostilities and return to their families. I want to emphasise again that all responsibility for the possible bloodshed will lie fully and wholly with the ruling Ukrainian regime” (Putin, 24.02.2022).

This is just really disturbing to read, as the Russian soldiers, mechanical divisions and navy is attacking Ukrainian army. This is the message from Putin. That he thinks people will believe this. Is ridiculous. President Putin is speaking with a vicious sentiment and that’s evident. As he wants his leaders and puppets in Ukraine. The only way to avoid bloodshed is to let him impose his will on Ukraine. That’s what his saying in this speech and the end of it. Which shows the real sentiment. As Putin has used NATO as an excuse. While he wanted imperial power in Eastern Europe and not lose influence in former USSR republics.

He called it a common motherland, but I am sure the Ukrainians doesn’t feel that today. As a foreign power comes in with their army to conquer them. Surely, it is only Putin and his loyal comrades in Kremlin is feeling this. Because, the Russians are not taking responsibility for the warfare and saying everything is on Ukraine. However, he is the one that called for the war and ordered. It shows how he defends these atrocities and possible war-crimes in Ukraine.

This is who Putin is and he is proud to show it to the world. Since he fears no man, fear no God, but he hopes that’s people fears his weapons and army. Peace.

Opinion: This is Putin’s war

Three days after Russian President Vladimir Putin held his sinister and epic war-cry to the whole world to see. As he set the stage and finalization of excuses for invasion of Ukraine. We are now seeing the plight, the bombs and the air-raids happening. As well, as mechanical divisions moving on all sides of the Ukrainian borders. The Russian and Belorussian army is involved in this. While the navy is attacking the navy-base in Odessa. Therefore, this war well prepared and it’s all on Putin’s command.

This is Putin’s war. He has prepared this warfare for long. The refugees and asylum-seekers will be fleeing where they can. The ones who cannot flee is trying to find refuge locally. As the Ukrainian army is meeting a military superior power, which can conquer it quickly. The Russian military command has targeted the air-fields and the air-force of Ukraine today.

The authorities and military command in Kremlin had this all planned. There was no slip-up and they awaited the final order. Putin just anticipated when he could pull it off and knowingly, that Ukraine wouldn’t have a chance to retaliate.

The ones saying this is Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) fault is only playing the violin for Putin and his apologists. They are not seeing that no matter what the West had done or didn’t’ do. It wouldn’t matter… because Putin had already decided. Macron could have hold a 12 hour talks in Moscow. Hell, Macron could have tried to give Putin proper French Wine, but it wouldn’t have made a difference. Putin was only buying time.

Putin wants to have an empire and have the great Russian Empire under his knees. He wants his army to annex and control the USSR republics. What he wants is to have friendly puppets and people who plays to wishes in the former Soviet Republics. That’s why this is happening. He wanted another Viktor Yanukovych and his sort of regime, which serves the interests of Moscow. Therefore, it is the reason to get rid of the likes Volodymyr Zelensky for his own personal gains. So, that the megalomania of Putin can continue…

We should be worried that Putin will not stop here. As he find ways or reasons to attack other former Soviet republics. Since, he feels they are not “nations” or having proper “statehood”. Which he claimed earlier this week in comparison to Ukraine. That could easily happen, as he has attacked Georgia in the past. While using military means in Syria and elsewhere too. Therefore, Putin is willing to wage war for his own gains. That’s what he does and this war is all for his own benefit.

This is Putin’s war. He ordered it. He fixed it and he ensured that it would happen. No means of diplomacy or negotiations would have helped. It was just a coping mechanism of the West. Who didn’t think he would pull it off. While he stationed soldiers, tanks and mechanical divisions in-and-around Ukraine from Belarus to Crimea. There wasn’t just some military exercises, but prepared targets and stationed for a future invasion.

The deaths, the murders and assassinations will be all on Putin. The bombing, the masses in pain and fleeing. The cruelty of war will be on the civilians of Ukraine. They are the innocent people who loses everything. Because, one war-lord, one head of state and one man decided to wage war. Him being Putin.

This is Putin’s war and nobody else. It’s his army and allies who will attack. It’s his soldier who kills and destroys. They invade and annex a sovereign, because Putin said so. Peace.

Ukraine: President Volodymyr Zelensky – “Russia has launched a new military operation against our state, martial law is being imposed throughout Ukraine” (24.02.2022)

This morning Russia launched a new military operation against our state. This is an unjustified deceitful and cynical invasion.

There are strikes on military and other important defense facilities, border units are under attack, the situation in the Donbas has degraded.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, all special and law enforcement agencies of the state are on alert. The National Security and Defense Council is working in an emergency mode.

Martial law will be imposed.

Our diplomats are informing the world about what is happening. Ukrainians will never give up their freedom and independence to anyone. Only we, all citizens of Ukraine, have been determining our future since 1991. But now the fate of not only our state is being decided, but also what life in Europe will be like.

Whether at least something of the force of international law remains will depend on the world’s fair and just response to this aggression.

Civilians of Ukraine should stay at home. Warn your loved ones about what is happening. Take care of those who need help.

All thoughts and prayers are with our soldiers.

Glory to Ukraine!

Ukraine: President Volodymyr Zelensky – National Address (23.02.2022)

Today I initiated a phone conversation with the president of the Russian Federation. The result was silence. Although it’s the Donbas where there should be silence.

We are divided by a shared border of more than 2,000km. Almost 200,000 of your troops and thousands of military vehicles are standing alongside it. Your leadership has ordered them to move forward, onto another country’s territory. This step could be the start of a big war on the European continent. The whole world is talking about what could happen any day now, any provocation. Any flare-up – one that could burn everything.

They’re telling you that this flame will liberate the people of Ukraine, but the Ukrainian people are free. They remember their past and are building their future, Ukraine on your TV news and the real Ukraine are two totally different countries. Ours is real.

They told you I’m ordering an attack on Donbas, to open fire and bomb indiscriminately […] to shoot at whom? to bomb whom?

I’m speaking Russian, but nobody in Russia understand what these places, streets, and events are. This is our land and our history. What are you fighting for? And with who?

Lots of you have relatives in Ukraine, you studied in Ukrainian universities, you have Ukrainian friends. You know our character, our principles, what matters to us. Listen to yourselves, to the voice of reason. The people of Ukraine want peace.

The government of Ukraine wants peace. It’s doing everything it can. We’re not alone. That’s true, lots of countries support Ukraine. Because this isn’t about peace at any price. It’s about peace, principles, justice, international law, the right to determine your own future.

This is about society’s right to be safe and people’s rights to live without threats. This is all important for us and for the world. I know for sure that this is important for you too.

We know for sure that we don’t need war – neither cold, nor hot, nor hybrid. But if troops attack us and someone tries to take away our country, our freedom, our lives, the lives of our children, then we will defend ourselves.

We will defend ourselves. When you attack, you will see our faces, not our backs. War is a great misfortune and it comes at a great price. People lose their money, reputation, freedom, living standards, and most importantly – they lose their loved ones and themselves.

Nothing’s ever enough in a war, but there’s more than enough pain, dirt, and death. Tens of thousands of deaths. They’re telling you that Ukraine could be a threat for Russia. That never happened in the past, it’s not not and won’t in the future.

You demand security guarantees from Nato. We demand guarantees of our security. The security of Ukraine. From you, Russia, and the other guarantors of the Budapest memorandum. We aren’t in any defensive alliances. Ukraine’s security is tied to our neighbors’ security.

Today we need to talk about the security of the whole of Europe. But our main goal is peace in Ukraine and the security of our citizens, Ukrainians. We will tell everyone, including you, in different formats, in any venue.

War will take guarantees away from everyone. Nobody will have security guarantees anymore. Who will suffer most of all? People. Who doesn’t want that to happen more than anyone? People. Who can stop that? People.

These people are among you. I’m sure. Activists, journalists, musicians, actors, athletes, scientists, doctors, bloggers, stand-up comedians, TikTokers, and many others. Ordinary people, simple people, men, women, the old, the young, fathers, and most of all – mothers.

Just like the people in Ukraine. Just like the government in Ukraine. However they try to convince you otherwise. I know that Russian TV won’t show my speech. But citizens of Russia need to see it. They need to see the truth. The truth is you need to stop before it’s too late. And if the leadership of Russia doesn’t want, for the sake of peace, to sit at the table with us, maybe it’ll sit at the table with you. Do the Russians want war? I’d love to answer that question. But the answer only depends on you – citizens of Russia.

I thank everyone who supports Ukraine. We keep on working.

Ukraine: Russian-Belorussian armies has started it’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine

Today, Vladimir Putin’s uncalled war against Ukraine has officially started. As his armies are attacking Ukraine from various of fronts. As well, as from the annexed region of Crimea, within Donbass, in Kharkiv, Odessa and elsewhere. The Russian-Belorussian armies is attacking Ukraine as far west as Lutsk, which is only 50 kilometres away from the Polish border. The Russian army was prepared for this and it was planned. Just like the troops movement into allies Belarus, which is now also used in the attack on the sovereign independent nation of Ukraine.

Putin is having his war and using military means possibly install a Russian-friendly government in Kyiv. That seems to be the gist of things, as he wants to have total control of his “backyard” and the former USSR republics. Therefore, the first victim now is Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. The Russians first took Crimea, than claimed sovereignty of Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republic’s. Which gave some sort of “legality” and “reasons” behind it all, but this is just showing how these separatists where just pawns for the game-plan that Putin already had in his arsenal.

There is air-raids, bombing and direct movement of mechanical divisions. There is no small-scale war and the Russian army was really prepared this. They were not just planted on the borders, across the Ukrainian republic, awaiting possible training exercises and going back to Siberia. No, this was in preparation for the “final call”. Which happened earlier this week.

There is air-sirens in Lviv, Kyiv and Kharkiv, which has been reported. The Ukrainian army is on, as well as martial law has been implemented. Before that the State of Emergency was in all regions, except for the Donbass ones. Therefore, the Ukrainian authorities was starting to prepare and aware of moves of the enemies. As well, as there was planned efforts to make more false-flag operation within Donbass and Crimea as an excuse for further invasion. However, this went down anyway, as it was approved and pre-planned by Moscow.

No one can deny that this hasn’t been in the works. As you cannot be able to move troops, bomb targets and issue war at this scale without preparation. There has movement on the sea, to Belarus and all along the Ukrainian border. As well, as movement of troops into Crimea. These are now all in motion. In addition, the buying-time of having French and German head of states to visit Moscow. While these talks were fruitless, as Putin had already decided to invade.

Now, the merciless invasion will go on. The next few days will be brutal. There will be blood on the streets, people dying and total fall of the Republic of Ukraine. Russia has the advantage of military strength and can attack on all fronts. There is no space or ability to stop it now. The only concern if civilians are able to flee in time or cross into safety in other places in Europe as refugees. This war will cause much more damage.

When Putin can do this to Ukraine. We know he can do much more to other Republic’s too. Kremlin and Putin are clearly a hostile power, willing to wage war over old grievances of previous generations. That’s not the world order now, but when you live in relics of imperial ideals. That’s what bring you here. Murder. Death. Starvation. And not to forget total destruction.

War is only destructive. It is not the means of building of peace or creating a prosperous future. It is only means of death. In all the various ways that is possible to man. Peace.

Ukraine: Joint statement by the President of Ukraine, the President of the Republic of Lithuania, the President of the Republic of Poland on the Russian Federation’s decision to recognise the so-called “DPR” and “LPR” (23.02.2022)

We, the Presidents of Ukraine, the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Poland – the Lublin Triangle, gathered in Kyiv on 23 February 2022, express our strongest condemnation of the decision by the Russian Federation to recognise the quasi-entities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine – the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” and “Donetsk People’s Republic”.

This unprovoked aggressive step by Russia constitutes yet another blatant violation of the fundamental norms and principles of the international law, including the UN Charter, as well as security assurances given to Ukraine in the framework of the 1994 Budapest Memorandum.

Russia deliberately and unilaterally has withdrawn from the Minsk agreements and therefore bears full responsibility for further deterioration of the security situation on the ground.

We reaffirm our strong commitment to the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, extending to its territorial waters. The Russian Federation’s decision to recognise the so-called “LNR” and “DPR” will have no legal implications.

We call upon the international community to take resolute and far-reaching steps in response to this yet another act of aggression committed by Russia against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. This response should include swift introduction of robust package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, including the measures targeting the Nord Stream 2.

We urge Russia to de-escalate and to withdraw its armed forces deployed around Ukraine’s borders and in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and to refrain from taking any further military actions.

The Presidents of Lithuania and Poland stand by Ukraine and fully commend and support its efforts to solve Russian-Ukrainian conflict by diplomatic and peaceful means.

Ukraine deserves our strongest support of its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, which goes in line with the free will and choice of the Ukrainian nation.

Lithuania and Poland reconfirm their support for Ukraine’s European perspective, in line with respective Joint Declarations signed on 18 March and on 3 May 2021.

We emphasize that, given the significant progress in the implementation of the Association Agreement and internal reforms, as well as the current security challenges, Ukraine deserves EU candidate status and the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Poland will support Ukraine in achieving this goal.

Opinion: Trump is Putin’s “bestie”

We are just seeing a pattern in the former President of the United States of America, Republican Donald J. Trump who easily sides with Russia and their interests. Yesterday, he called Vladimir Putin a “genius” and the “strongest peace force” as “they are going to keep peace, alright”. That’s the just the sort of fella Trump is. This shouldn’t shock anyone.

Trump has in the past favoured Russian interests and Putin’s needs. He has defended the Russians interference in the 2016 elections. The same man said the annexation of Crimea was righteous. So, that the same man praises and defends the “independence” and invasion of Ukraine isn’t shocking. As Trump easily tried to block military assistance to Ukraine, which got him impeached. Therefore, Trump has worked hard to help Russia in Europe.

Heck, Trump was trying to get Russia back in the G-7 and did what he could to make NATO a useless military alliance. That is the sort of man he is and Putin couldn’t have been more happy. He got everything he wanted and he had an ally in Washington D.C. We know he praised Putin in the past and wanted to resemble in him in office. However, it was more growling and less “strong-man” attitude from 45.

The Republican’s are even backing him and defending the Russians, as the people are using Kremlin talking-points in attack of government of Ukraine. This is absurd, the party who is hawkish and been working against Soviet during the cold-war. Now, they are instead buddies and besties… actually more friendly with Moscow than with its own government in Washington D.C. That’s a feat and shows how far the party has gone.

This is why the GOP and Republican’s will not go after Trump here. He has been on Putin’s side since before the 2016 elections. Trump has tried to do business in Russia and even held a beauty pageant there at some point. It has all been beneficial for Trump and his Trump Organization to be associated with Russians. Therefore, he will boost the ego of Putin and be used a pawn in the U.S.

That Trump is saying these things shows what his willing to do. Because, he knows that Putin’s oligarchs can save his businesses and his family affairs. That’s why Putin is a genius for invading Ukraine.

We shouldn’t be shocked or anything. The “golden showers” must have done Trump wonders. Since his so positive and gullible. That he thinks he can replicate him and become alike personality. This just shows what sort of man Trump is and it shouldn’t be put away. It just further the reasons to ensure his not getting back into office.

Since, his wiling to defend these actions and call it “smart”. That’s just show his malice and lack of concern of sovereignty of others. He rather defend Putin, than the interests of Ukraine or the allies in the Western hemisphere. That really says it all and it shows how far the GOP and the Republican party has fallen.

When Trump easily could just be a “Kompromat” of Putin and that’s just the sad reality of this. He is surely on good terms and would most likely have blocked NATO or made it impossible to act rationally on it, if he was still in office. The movements to NATO allies wouldn’t have happened, but instead… he would ensure Russia got a free ride to annex much more territory quicker without a backfiring responses from the U.S. or NATO allies. Peace.

Opinion: Putin sends a stern warning to the former USSR republics

“We intend to act the same way with regard to all our neighbors going forward,” he said. “It’s different with Ukraine, and it’s related to the fact that, unfortunately, the territory of this country is used by third countries to create threats for the Russian Federation. That’s the only reason.” Putin noted that “after the coup in Ukraine, we do not see that level and quality of interaction in Ukraine, it has vanished.”” (TASS – ‘Russia supports sovereignty of neighbors, was forced to make exception for Ukraine — Putin’).

Just as troops are moving into Ukraine and President Vladimir Putin had talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev today. We have seen how he has moved in the recent days and weeks. Now, the Russian Federation is working with full force towards Ukraine and the government of Kyiv.

We heard the war-cry of Putin yesterday. Now today his furthering his message out. It shows that he has the power and possibility to intervene in their republics. This shows that Putin can act in the same manner towards others, if he sees it fit. He has already done that in Georgia in 2008 and Ukraine in 2014. Therefore, this is nothing new, but his stating it as a fact.

All neighbours should be worried, as Putin will use military power and find separatists to use as excuses to invade and possibly annex this territory from the neighbours. Especially, all former USSR republics in the Caucasus, Balkans and in general Eastern Europe. Where Putin could easily find means to go in and invade there as well.

President Putin is showing his imperialism here. This is the ideals of Soviet and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). As it is his will to attack and go after the ones who doesn’t follow the Moscow-paradigm or being within the influence of Russia. If they go astray or find another path. He will find ways to entertain war and invade them as well. In such a way to weaken them and ensure they are losing vital territory to Russia. Therefore, what is happening now in Ukraine could happen elsewhere.

We should be worried about these sorts of statement. Putin is now sending a stern warning to Georgia, Belorussia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Some of these are already in European Union and others are in NATO.

We cannot know if he would ever act upon it, but we are now seeing what his willing to do. The army are on the borders and some are already invading Ukraine. We can just await what will happen further. However, these sorts of messages is sending a clear message from Kremlin. There is no doubt that Russian army can knock on the doors of the neighbours, if they are going away from the line that Moscow want them to follow. Peace.

Ukraine: President Volodymyr Zelensky – Address to the Nation (21.02.2022)

Dear people, we and our state do not have time for long lectures on history. I will not talk about the past. I will talk about current realities and our future.

Ukraine is within its internationally recognized borders, and will remain so. Despite any statements and actions of the Russian Federation. We remain calm and confident. I want to thank all our citizens for this.

You are proving once again that Ukrainians are a smart and wise nation. And in spite of everything we keep a cool head, react calmly, carefully, like an adult. we are ready for anything. But there is no reason for you to have a sleepless night.

Tonight we held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council. Ukraine qualifies the latest actions of the Russian Federation as a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.

All responsibility for these decisions are made by Russia’s political leadership. Recognition of the independence of the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions mean Russia’s unilateral withdrawal from the Minsk agreements, and them ignoring decisions within Normandy format. It undermines peaceful efforts and destroys existing negotiation formats. With today’s and, possibly, tomorrow’s decisions, Russia is legalizing its troops, which have actually been in the occupied territories of Donbas since 2014.

A country that has been supporting the war for 8 years cannot maintain peace as it claims. I discussed the situation with French President Macron, German Chancellor Scholz, US President Biden, British Prime Minister Johnson, and European Council President Michel.

I also plan to talk with Turkish President Erdogan. What will happen next? We want peace. and we are consistent in our actions. Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affaris sent a request to the UN Security Council member states to hold immediate consultations on the basis of the Budapest Memorandum

I initiated the convening of the UN Security Council and a special meeting of the OSCE. We insist on the OSCE to prevent provocations and further escalation. An emergency convocation of the Normandy summit was also initiated.

We expect clear and effective support steps from our partners. It is very important to see now who is our true friend and partner, and who will continue to frighten the Russian Federation with words.

We are committed to political and diplomatic regulation and do not succumb to any provocations. Our borders are securely protected. a system of territorial defense was created. Our partners support us.

In accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, Ukraine reserves the right for individual and collective self-defense. We can distinguish between the provocations and the offensive of the aggressor’s troops.

Truth is on our side. we will never hide the truth from you. As soon as we see a change in the situation, as soon as we see an increase in risk, you will know all about it. There is currently no reason for chaotic actions. We will do everything to make it so in the future.

We are committed to a peaceful and diplomatic path, and we will follow it. We are on our land. We are not afraid of anything or anyone. We owe nothing to anyone, and we will not give anything to anyone.

We are sure of this, because now it is not February 2014, but February 2022. Our country is different, our army is different. The only goal is peace in Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine.
