Opinion: UPF blames Zaake for the torture, how convenient right?

Today, Police Spokesperson went in-front of the Press blaming Member of Parliament Francis Zaake is indirectly to blame for the torture he had while he was arrested. They are blaming him for previous things too. Just piling on blame on the man that couldn’t at one point open up his eyes and who had blunt-forced trauma. That was stated by one doctor during last month.

Therefore, rich of the Uganda Police Force to pin everything on Zaake. Like its his fault he cannot open up his eyes or chemical conjunctivitis and got blunt-forced trauma. It is really rare that a person get both of these illnesses on his own.

Especially, when the Police Force states this:

We would like to strongly dismiss these allegations as false and misleading. And the reason we are responding is to counter the sophisticated propaganda aimed at negatively portraying security forces as brutal and further tarnish the image of Uganda as a country. Investigations into his allegations have shown the following” (UPF, 08.05.2020).

In this regard, the image of the security forces is already breached abroad, by also knowing the European man lingering in Luzira and dying in Court yesterday, while fighting skin-cancer. This is the sort of action the security forces of Uganda does. Zaake is just your own and you trying to dismiss your actions towards people.

Allegations are true, the Hospital would make up what sort of illness he had and that they wanted to transfer him to another hospital. You instead moved him from Courts to Courts and dropped him off in SIU Kireka. Instead of giving him treatment for the illness he got by being with the Police Officers. He didn’t catch this at home giving food to boda-boda’s, but by the actions made by the Police Force.

The statement from the UPF ends with this:

Although the specific allegations of torture in his affidavit are not consistent with the physical evidence gathered thus far, the Leadership of the Joint Security agencies remain committed to protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of all Ugandans as guaranteed in the Constitution. We remain confident that once the facts gathered are presented before the Civil Court, our officers will be considered to have carried out their duties in accordance with the law.” (UPF, 08.05.2020).

Well, about evidence, do you have anything on Ziggy Wine or MP Ibrahim Abiriga? Is there anything in the works on the other weird deaths in the recent years, whose not solved or resolved? Just a bunch of cold-cases in the freezer and nothing happening, because when they are dead. The people will not cry and the families will not speak out either, because they don’t want to die as well.

So, in this regard, what about Bobi Wine’s fake arms in Arua? Is this the same sort of collected evidence, since your disregarding the findings of the doctor in your statement and politicising the arrest itself.

It is funny talking about the Constitution and the Courts, when the Police Force keeps people arrested without producing them in Courts with time. Neither warrants nor Court Orders to arrest them. They can just be pick people up and make-up charges later. Then, the family members or trusted people can pay bonds a few days later. This has happen so many times, that I cannot even count. So, don’t use the 1995 Constitution, when you use the Penal Code like a man-whore dipping into every ocean you can and hope you don’t catch an STDs.

So, in this regard, the UPF cannot play this one out. The documents from Iran-Uganda Hospital is clear. It’s not like hospital would make up illnesses and ask for him to be transferred elsewhere for treatment. Not for more days in custody of the coppers. Let’s be clear about that.

This was just so convenient …. so easy access and you could blame Zaake. His the bastard, the arrogant ass-hole and a man who should know his place. He shouldn’t even do anything, but a be silent as a grave. However, that is not the man Zaake is. What he has done again is to show the real side of UPF. He has shown your actions towards your own citizens and that has made headlines abroad. Because it is special, that you does this to representative of the Parliament. That is rich. Really Richie Rich. Peace.

Uganda: Amelia Kyambadde statement on the new guidelines during the lockdown (05.05.2020)

Keeping up with Kaguta S1E13: Another 14 days of Lockdown

Well, it is about that time. Well, the President, the Fountain of Honour, the bravest men of the all and the last Pan-African Hero (if you believe his son Muhoozi). Is back at it again. This time not on schedule, because he thinks everyone can wait for him during the imposed lockdown. Since, no one dares to boil chai or matooke while this man is on Telly or broadcast on the local radio station.

Like the previous editions of these National Addresses, whose way to long to our concern and has to much trash talk from the old man with the hat. The only man with a vision. I will only take my favourite quotes and digest them. Before calling it a day.

Quotes of this late evening:

What needs to be done is for our granddaughters to keep away from the drivers” – Museveni (04.05.2020).

Very soon, Uganda will be exporting sanitizers. Because you have always been having Waragi, killing you, now it’s going to be used to make sanitizers” – Museveni (04.05.2020).

Runyankore Proverb: ‘Owayangire kugojegyera ngu otarota’

Translation: You can’t refuse to sleep for the fear of bad dreams” – Museveni (04.05.2020).

Warehouses are vital for storing of factory products, they will be allowed to operate. Students should first stay at home. I am more comfortable with them being at home than going to school with these kinds of situations” – Museveni (04.05.2020).

Nobody who is coughing or sneezing should be allowed to mix with others. All the other measures will stay in place for 14 more days” – Museveni (04.05.2020).

All we are asking banks and landlords to do is reschedule loan payment, not forgive them. The government will not tolerant such inconsiderate actions of not reconsidering loans” – Museveni (04.05.2020).

So I am done for the night, the importance thing is that the lockdown is extended for the third time for 14 more days. This is from Wednesday. Therefore, the days with lockdown get’s close to two months as we are ticking into 45 days or so in my calculation.

Also, as we are seeing, the President is opening up the Republic. However, slow and soft. Who is wholesaling? Who is the essential mechanic? I don’t know, but Jason Statham isn’t around to verify whose the shooter and whose fixing the Land Rover. What we do see, is that the President is really vulnerable about the lorry drivers and their sexual affections towards the ladies. Its like a personal obsession at this point. What’s up with that?

He also went deep with the Runyankore proverb today. As the COVID-19 shouldn’t stop you from sleeping, but continue to live. Also, the opening of hardware-shops, restaurants for take-away and whole-sale. Not to forget the mechanics and the carpenters. Clearly a sign of less restrictions. However, when these people are crossing the LDUs, the Police Officers and whatnot. Will them get a pass or need a certificate? Since he cars of essential drivers needs that these days. So, how will this be enforced?

Let’s see how this goes. There is so much said in a speech like this, but not much to take from it. Only wondering, if the state will continue to deliver food and at what level. Since this is the third one of these and it only bites more with time. The hit gets harder and the lack of security is ever present. Peace.

Uganda Key Populations Consortium (UKPC): Uganda’s COVID19 Resonse is Terrorizing Woman with Arbitrary Detention, Blackmail, and Violence (01.05.2020)

Opinion: Mzee donates some beans, but should have slaughterted some cows…

President, Yoweri Museveni, through the first lady, Janet Museveni, has delivered his contribution to the National Task Force against COVID-19 and its effects. The President has donated UGX 1.4 Million which is part of his salary” (SpyReports, 30.04.2020).

For a big-man and a President for 34 years, giving a half-month salary is only symbolic. It is trying to make a statement, but not a for-real. It is not like this will hurt the pocket of the President or even matter to him. His not afraid of that this will be detrimental for him nor his family. If it would, he wouldn’t do this now.

Why do I say this? Well, the President is estimated worth of USD $4 billion. Not like he needs help financially. He owns big farms, has state houses all across the Republic. The President owns hotels and other businesses. So, does the rest of his family. They are owning everything from Garden City to other well-known businesses. Not like the donation will hit them at all.

Plus, the President is covered by the funds spent on the State House budget, Office of the President and Classified Expenditure. There is always an escrow account or other measures to secure that the bills will be paid and expenses will be covered. It is just another scheme to get things out of the way.

I’m sure a man with a ranch and 1000 cows can afford more than a million shillings. Especially, if he do care and wants to be noble. Some will cry foul for me. Because, the gesture is on his own. However, when your know his richer than God and has more money than most will see in their lifetime. To be honest, the amount of money we would have the ability to run through if we was incarnated a 1000 times. We might be lucky to get close to a billion dollars. Until then, the President is giving away breadcrumbs and expecting praise.

The President has had the ability to get businesses, ownership of hotels, malls and whatnot. Factories and ranches. Not like the President doesn’t have the opportunity to spend more on the COVID-19 Fund if he wanted too. The President could cover the whole thing, but his not doing so. This is “his money” and only previously been state funds to enrich himself.

If he was an up-and-comer, who rose like a phoenix out of the ashes. However, the President is far from that. His the socialite and big-man of Kampala. The almighty kingpin of the Republic. The man who runs by decree and by his words. Not like he doesn’t have enough cash to double or triple the COVID-19 Fund. If he did that, he would have shown some sacrifice. Nevertheless, the act made by him is only a symbolic affair.

This is a PR Stunt. Not a big deal. That would be if he sold one of the estates he owns or donated a hotel to it. Even if he slaughtered a few cows and gave some of the Sameer Dairy Corporation milk to the COVID-19 Fund. However, he didn’t do that. Because, that would have hurt his pocket and he doesn’t want to do that.

He could even donate one of his cars from his convoy, maybe the luggage car? Show a little flex. That would have shown something. Until then, his only given breadcrumbs and wants praise. Who are you kidding?

He has billions of dollars and only gives a 1 million shillings? It is good, but not real. Only a tear-drop into the giant ocean. Peace.

Keeping up with Kaguta S1E12: It’s a Stupid Virus and don’t let the daughters touch the drivers…

Twelfth Time the charm, I suppose. As the President of Uganda is addressing his nation. I will not look into it all, neither dig to deep. Just take the gist of it all, as this thing is getting old. This is the second lockdown period and surely he will micro-manage some more and someone has pick up the slack tomorrow. Someone has make press releases and configure whatever the President said today. They will call it a Presidential Directive, but God knows where it is written.

So, with this in mind. I will just take a few favourable quotes. Since, to breakdown this speech is a waste of time and take the best and memorable quotes from him. Because, even if we are under lockdown, in quarantine or staying at home. We still want to spend that time with loved ones and not listening to the old man with the hat or trying to understand the “brilliance” or “vision” from this man.

Best quotes of the evening:

In the remaining days our experts are going to study more. Either our people are not getting sick or our people are dying” – Museveni (28.04.2020).

There is a possibility that there are no new cases. It could also be that people are getting infected but don’t get sick. It means they are getting immunity. 3rd possibility is people are dying but people don’t know it’s COVID19” – Museveni (28.04.2020).

Farmers should continue. This Virus is also stupid in a way. It is attacking people who are concentrated. It forgot that there are those who are not concentrated and yet the most useful” – Museveni (28.04.2020).

Stopping cargo is suicidal and unnecessary,it is suicidal because if we stop cargo how will our coffee, cement, Sugar,Milk etc be transported to our neighboring countries” – Museveni (28.04.2020).

Our daughters, tokwata ku driver oyo ate driver takukwatako. (don’t touch the cargo driver and don’t allow him to touch you)” – Museveni (28.04.2020).

I have been in statehouse here for 34 years but I have never bought even a toilet paper because it is not my job. There is a purchasing officer” – Museveni (28.04.2020).

Not that he said anything significant today or noteworthy. He mentioned how he was viewing the East Africa as a house. Uganda as the bedroom, Tanzania and Kenya as the Sitting-room. But we don’t know what Rwanda, Burundi or South Sudan is this manner. I don’t have the perfect quote, but he did that too tonight. Which is weird one in itself.

However, the rest is very standard. Just broad stories, which isn’t directing people, but just what he wants to talk about. Like the stupid virus who get spread in crowds, but on the countryside. Where the people are further between and farming the land. They are not as hard hit as the urban areas. Just like COVID-19 is hitting the capitals and metropolis of the world. That is why in his mind its stupid.

His then speaking of suicide to stop cargo-transport and also how drivers of those cargoes should not touch girls. Because, in sense he doesn’t want the drivers to be close to his citizens, but only transport goods and move along. Not be intimate or close to Ugandans. Because, the drivers are passing through and could bring the disease and therefore, the way of stopping the spread is not touching. Paternalism is a strong force with this one.

Well, if you thought you would get enlighten. You were apparently wrong. Well, that’s about it. He will come back for another edition or episode before the lockdown. As he has a comprehensive plan. He could have given a memo on that and not held a two hour speech. With little or nothing worth noting. Unless, this is a ego boost for the old man. Bosco aka Mzee wants the public to hear his voice and cough.

This was a waste of time. Peace.
