Trump-Ukraine: Like Clockwork, the Senate rigged the Impeachment Trial

We knew this could and it did. Senator Majority Leader, the most spineless man of America. Republican Mitch McConnell has decided loyalty towards one man is more important than constitutionalism, rule of law or even honour of office. The Republican Party see it more fit to shield their own, than to follow the codes, the laws and abide to the principals of the Republic. That is reality after today.

The Impeachment Resolution is how to shield an trial, how to not do discovery, get people interrogated, interviewed or even tried. They are not even trying to look into it. Just like a mafia, they are covering it all up. Closing the books, giving a limited time frame, letting it all go and calling for another beer. Maybe with their favourite Supreme Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

If there ever was a party for rule of law, it is clearly not the Grand Old Party. They are in it for power and by any means. The ends are more important than the means at this point. Doesn’t matter what the President does nor his associates. Even when plenty of them is either in jail, awaiting sentencing and so-on. His lawyer, his National Security Advisor, his Campaign Manager and so fourth.

Still, the Party will shield this man with a sham trial. A trial so shambolic and insincere. It is taken straight out a dictators playbook. No witness, no evidence or no production of the paper trail. Even a small-frauds case or a Judge Judy episode has more legal backbone than this. The resolution is a farce and a facade. Nothing noble, just mere deception.

McConnell are maybe able to save the fate of Trump. Give him leeway on the case. But his life, his life-work in the Senate will forever be stained by this. He will be remembered as one of the men, who enabled the President, gave way to the President and who sold the Presidency on the altar of Power. Because, that is what they have done.

I’m not American, I’m not a citizen of the United States. But its easy to see what’s happening. The motion is set and the actions are insincere. This a cake-walk. A final dance on the two articles of Impeachment. As the President abused his power with an ally to get dirt on a political opponent. In this regard, Ukraine and stopped military aid as a blackmail to get their will and investigate the son of Joe Biden. That is the whole thing and McConnell will not continue to investigate it properly. Not even try, after Trump has stopped witnesses, not produced documents and so fourth.

The Senate, if they will vote for this and do this. They will be remembered as loyal brigadiers to Trump. That Trump stands above the law. That they allowed him to misuse his office, not follow procedure and heckled an ally for personal gain. They allowed Trump to do that like a Tin-Pot dictator.

That is what the GOP has succumbed too. They are also spineless and worthless men in suits and ties. These people are the empty suits any sort of arrogant need, they don’t stand for anything, but bows to his every whim. That is who they are and that is the display they are giving the world. Peace.

Trump-Ukraine: House Memorandum validates the impeachment, but the Republicans will not take down their own

There is no need to dig deep in the United States House of Representatives Memorandum on the Impeachment of Donald J. Trump. The President of the United States, which was publicly dropped yesterday on the 18th January 2020. This has been a slow train coming, but a needed one.

This report put anything in perspective and shows the need for the impeachment. The Memorandum of the framers and the ones who written the two articles of impeachment makes all sense. We have known this, but its put collectively together. Trump knows this, but trying to propagandise it.

President Trump and his administration has acted swiftly to ensure the U.S. House of Representatives couldn’t do their duty with congressional oversight. Trump knows this and the lack of openness, transparency and acting as it should in regard to Congress. The President and his administration didn’t do that. It talked big-game, but stonewalled it. Tried to do everything it could to stop the investigation and find the evidence of the wrong-doing. Also, not letting vital persons testify and misuse the power he had.

What the Memorandum states is what the Senate should do. The Majority Senate, which is based of inner-party of Republicans. The supposed “Law and Order” party, the strong constitutional based and founding father loving party. However, that is only in elections that matter, but they are above the laws and statutes themselves. That is atleast how it seems from afar.

Because, even with the plea, the show of congressional oversight, the rights to impeach and the rights to subpoena the President. Seems like this Presidency couldn’t care less, and he couldn’t care less for foreign interference in elections for his gain. That is seemingly okay in his party and they are all for using all tools for victory. They will sell Montana, Idaho and the Department of Justice to Russians, if they could. That is how it seems.

However, the Senate can show that this is wrong and that they care. I don’t expect it. I expect that they vindicate and accept this. They don’t want this humiliation ahead of 2020 elections. They will trade away moments of power, instead of valuing rule of law and justice. They rather want the office and secure their future. It is more important to stand by Trump, than actually caring about the Constitution.

That the President can misuse power, abuse his power and threatening the up-coming elections. This is what the Senate can address, as the House has already done their bid and has the Memorandum as a proof of their findings. We cannot expect magic, as his fellow bed-mates run the Senate. If they were loyal to their station and Republic. They might have served justice and seen blood. Nevertheless, the result might be just hogwash. They will just thwart the whole thing and seal their misgivings. If Trump is guilty, so is the rest of the party too. Because, they let him and gave way to his whims. They all let him, but also was water-boys for him. These people can either show that the truth matters and that the Republic matters more than person.

However, don’t expect that dance. Expect that the politics matter more. The only way these Republican’s will be henchmen to their own. Is if their own seats, their own livelihoods and their reputation is for sale. If they can themselves be in legal jeopardy or even fall. Than, they might do something. But this memorandum will not seal the fate of the Presidency.

No, only if the Senators fears the elections of 2020 and think they can escape. If they don’t, they will go along and accept being puppets of the President and his foreign backers. Because, he uses all means to win. The President doesn’t care, as long as he “wins”. He doesn’t care about the laws, constitution or protocol. What matters is him and his cause. The Republic is the second fiddle.

Now, we can soon see if the Republicans in the Senate cares about their integrity, the values of the constitutional norms or even due process. Don’t expect it. Really don’t expect it. Since, they haven’t cared with the Russian Probe and neither this Ukrainian scandal. They have done whatever they can to spoil it like bad TV-Hosts on Fox News. Therefore, Trump might be saved, but his legacy is tarnished. Because we all know what he does and how he operates. Nothing matters, except for his own ass. Peace.

Opinion: It’s all in the memo, Trump said so…

It is something magnificent with the Trump Presidency, they are black-balling, hunch-backed administration, which is doing the illegal things and not getting sanctions against it. Maybe, the final strike was the wet-dream of the Presidency to hurt his enemies and the political elite in the Democratic Party. However, this seems now to back-fire.

President Donald J. Trump called President Zelenskyy of . Ukraine, what has been released was an “Memorandum of the Telephone Conversation”, a memo of the call, which lasted for 30 minutes and is only 5 pages. This is clearly not an transcript, because than the details of the conversation would been more hectic, more sounds and sound-bites, which is not there. That is why this isn’t an transcript in my opinion, but a MEMCOM.

We know by the little memo released from the phone conversation, it still says enough to strike what was idea behind the call from the US President who said this: “Rudy very much knows what’s happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United states,·the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just what to let you know that the other thing, there’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it … It sounds horrible to me”.

Later he says this to the Ukrainian President: “I will have Mr. Giuliani give you a call and I am. Also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to the bottom of it. I’m sure you will figure it out. I heard the prosecutor was treated very badly and he was a very fair prosecutor so good luck with everything”.

This here to extracts show enough, even if it is a MEMCOM. The memo, not a transcript says enough. That he guided and directed the Ukrainian President to call and set fourth an investigation into the son of Joe Biden. That is clearly directing a foreign force to investigate political opponents. Surely enough, this is illegal activity. There shouldn’t be any other way to look at it.

That the US Representatives in Congress is starting an inquiry into impeachment, which will look into this even further. Again, it shows how the Presidency, how the President want to engage abroad for his own personal agenda and grudges. Just like he told the Russian to please leak the Hillary Clinton e-mails. This is the same thing again, a hit-job against another possible Presidential Candidate, Biden.

There is nothing else to see here, someone whose conspiring with foreign nations for his own personal good. His trying to get the son of another political convicted and prosecuted, thus hurting Joe Biden as he tries to stand as a candidate. Someone who doesn’t need help with that, he does it better on his own two feet. President Trump should be aware and should know, that this will not be easy for him and that the realities are hitting hard.

This is own self-made acts of a conniving president, who acts willingly and uses his own state apparatus to directly involve foreign powers to intervene on his behalf to hurt and destroy political opponents. That is what he did and this he cannot run away from. The MEMCOM says so. Peace.

Opinion: I been told with time things will be better, but does it?

Well, in troubling times, as things are moving both forward, backward and sideways. It seems that we can defer from enterprising the idea, that everything gets better with time. Surely, this doesn’t mean we as folk doesn’t change, broaden our minds and expand our patterns of thought. No, we might do this, but this doesn’t change the narrative nor the times we are seeing passing by.

We are not a single leaf in the wind. Neither are we a recycled raindrop, awaiting next part of its existence to become evaporated before becoming clouds and be rained down upon us, yet again. Even if life goes in cycle and we as human beings are repeating history, sometimes even without knowing.

The ignorance of out times, as we are silent to the death of immigrants, as we are deaf to the pleas of separated kids in camps in the United States. The silence and lack of outcry, as the US tried to start a war in Iran and tried to enforce an coup d’etat in Venezuela. This is all happening, but no worries. As well, as the European Union have favourable deals with the Libyan, Egyptian and Sudanese Governments to stop immigrants from coming to the shores of Italy, Spain and Greece. That is just we do to each other, instead of giving a helping hand in need, we let people drown with excuses of nationalism, border security and fear of the unknown.

We are living in a time, where there is no problem to silence the media, weaponize social media and misuse state resources to suppress dissidents. This is happening all over, not only in dictatorships, but also in the “free world”. Where leaders are using their means and using their techniques to sophisticated silence and letting the ones defying their stance suffer. There are plenty of journalists in the recent time died by poison, being arrested and tortured. Plenty of opposition leaders in exile and struggling to regain their vitality. That is all happening, but nothing contemplating on the reasons for this.

The weaponization of social media with bots and big media, where the hacking, leaks and misuse of information combined with blind narrow-minded followers, who doesn’t think of the consequences of the acts nor they think of what the message they are spreading. The parties, the leaders are letting their camps all go out into the battlefield. Build their borders filled with landmines, barbed-wire and trenches. In this field, everyone who disagrees is traitors, radicals or even stupid individuals who has no sense. While the bombs, the hypocrites and the vilified commentators should just be blocked or silenced. Because, they are just fake and frauds, while the almighty leader is the ones to listen too.

While this is happening, the wars are steady, they are not stopping. The trade-wars, the Brexit is pumping in its sketchy way. The troubles of Yemen, Syria and Ukraine continues, like wars of old. The slavery trade of Mauritania continues as well as possible slave-ships on the outside of Libya. While, the Amnesty and Human Rights Watch, appeal to the International Community, the Western Sahara is still a punchline for the Pan-African Political Parties, but the world is not caring about the plights of the people there, as long as the big-companies can fish outside the coast there.

The peacekeeping missions are lacking funding, as the missions are staying and lingering, also paying off dictators to send military forces to conflict zones in Sahel, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia and so on. The former colonial powers of France, Belgium, United Kingdom and others are still holding their grips of former colonies, as they have new units to treat the new leadership and “open markets” for their products. If they need, they will kiss the rings of dictators and others, to just get the needed resources for a dime.

We are living in fabulous times, we are living times of adventures of freedom, liberty and justice. Where labels of Fairtrade, trade-unions and others are continuing to pushing the envelope, but still not seeing thing true. As the illicit trade practices continues in many markets and by plenty companies, multi-national earning fortunes on their production units paying little or none to its contractors. This wouldn’t been acceptable in the industrialised world, but in the developing world it is dandy. Some in our time, even says these people should be grateful to even have a job. That is how dark our time is.

They says things are getting better with time, are they? There was a promising generation of leaders in the 80s and 90s, but they became alike the former dictators and militaristic regimes of the past. There are little resemblance of the past positive movement. While we are celebrating mediocrity and lacklustre approach to the future problems. We are supposed to be content and think this spoils of our times is good.

While we are not even able to solve the crimes of the 70s and 80s, while struggling with the aftermath of the politics done in the 90s and 00s. We are supposed to be all smiles, as the first decade of this millennium is here. The millennial’s can vote and we are supposed to promise them a greater future. When we are leaving behind the same old issues, with the same old greed and the lack of will to accept the mantle given to us.

Things was supposed to get better time, but apparently they are not. Maybe I am in a dark place today, but I do not see it. Because, we didn’t make it better, we didn’t push it to a greater place, we just let it be and watched a game of football. We didn’t care and didn’t sign up for a party, NGO or even go in a demonstration. We just looked and wonder, when is our turn?

Well, it isn’t given to us, just like the leaders of our day wasn’t given to them either. They fought and took it. If we want change, maybe we need to do the same. Because, things aren’t getting better. I see darkness, I see sinister acts going unpunished and the innocent dying for no fucking reason. Peace.

Opinion: We never learn, the conflicts doesn’t stop!

This year has been bloody and the doomsday switch is itching. The trigger fingers are used on dozens of battlefields. Some places with hope of peace and of just rule. It is other places, which is in dire need of change and quickly. The are continuation of wars and conflicts. Internally and across borders. There are possible new problems and making it more hectic. As so many nations have porous borders where militias and armies are floating in between. Since also even with supposed arms blockade to certain conflict zones, the merchants of death is delivering their loads.

The battles continues, the ramifications of innocent lives, villages burnt and kids disappearing. The utter violence and crimes against humanity. That get touched and burned for war-lords, generals and Presidents to stay in power. While AID and NGOs are afraid of sending help and often also stopped. The United Nations might have troops in the nearby area, but easier to get a towing vehicle, than armed supported of a IDP Camp. The insurgency and the escalations, the results is death.

It happens, as the world is looking at Premier League, NBA and Formula One. It is happening while Miss Universe is lost on a God-Forsaken Island. We never know why these innocent lives had to die. We just read the numbers in small notices in the papers and moves on.

That is not justice, that is not right. We didn’t learn anything. Nothing. It continues daily in South Sudan, Somalia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Yemen, Burma, Burundi, Mali, Niger, Cameroon, Nigeria and the list goes on. To many nations have internal conflicts or conflicts across their borders. Where merchants are securing the deaths of the innocent.

It happen all through the year. It didn’t stop. It continues and we just watch. We let it happen right under our nose for all sort of different reasons. This isn’t the big-man complex within me, this is the man who questions the world order and wonder when will it stop. We should not accept these deaths. It could be me and next time you. Who knows when conflicts will strike our shores and our clan. We never know, the future is not written yet, but we can make sure that doesn’t happen to them. That we shield and stop the aggressors. The endless violence and death. The destruction of society, of families and of basic functions.

Where the men and soldiers with the guns are respected and the law, where the respect and protocol is bypassed. Where the institutions and the general code of law is undermined at any moment. Where the bullet has the final say, where the use of weapons and ammunition; is the final outcome to any trade. The justice is what the guns say and the ones that uses them. The ones that is supplying it, is making sure the vote get heard and the War-Lord get signed off.

The determination and the lack of will, the mismanagement and the international community lack of acknowledge the reality. The blood-thirst and the power-hungry individuals who rule and who uses this to silence the public. Send them packing and fleeing. Take their lands and the resources. Secure their future, while the majority is in utter disgrace in foreign lands. They fear and wonder when peace will be in their village and around their home. If it is safe and if the government will promise their safety.

This is what we should be afraid of, that people are afraid of their homes and their lands. That they are afraid of returning, because they know that they might lose their lives and also their children. This is the evidence of the crime that is committed. What is taken from these people. We learned nothing in 2017, as the conflicts are continuing and no peace in sight. No justice and no respect for human dignity, as more innocent lives are taken away everyday before their time. Peace.

Recent Corruption Cases: “if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.”

Roosevelt Cartoon

“A man who has never gone to school may steal a freight car; but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.”

― Theodore Roosevelt

Thieving never stops through systematic and planned behaviour of state officials and government men and woman who wishes a short-cut to earning the big-bucks. It is an international problem. Again I will, blatantly address recent cases because this is something that doesn’t stop. Because of the greed and wish to be rich, in our time and before people and leaders isn’t happy with an ordinary life; they want to live in luxury instead of in normal household. Therefore they go to the extent of making sophisticated ways of trading and using government funds to steal and corrupt systems on their own behalf. Instead of delivering the service and institutions the citizens are supposed to have gained with this money and taxes. Here are some cases!

Back in time the Olympics we’re also corrupt:

“The fact is that even this Olympic truce often broke down,” says Large. “Famously in 364 BC when soldiers from the city of Elis actually invaded the Olympics grounds in order to retrieve protection rights over the games, that had been taken away from them in the years before. So there was a bloody battle going on right during the wrestling competition” (…) “The Spartans were also a problem,” adds Large. “They had been banned from the Olympics for many years. They themselves thought the Olympics, in any event, were not bloody enough for their taste. But they did show up in the 420s and they got themselves banned once again for extra-curricular fighting.” (…) ““It’s often assumed somehow these ancient Games were purer than the modern ones,” Large concludes. “In fact, if anything they were even more corrupt, perhaps.” (Woolfe, 2016).

Peter Mutharika-2

Cashgate of Malawi continues:

“Seven cabinet ministers are reported to be  implicated in the  K577 billion (about $856 million)   financial analysis report of what has been dubbed the Capital Hill ‘cash-gate’ scandal, named after the seat of government” (…) “He added that he had not received any names in connection with the audit query as yet” (…) “Last week I sent Chief Secretary to Auditor General [to get names] b,” said Mutharika, adding that he did not have any name of a minister” (…) “Where they  [media] get the names I don’t know,”he said” (…)“If anybody has got names please bring them to State House, I would like to see them and action will be taken,”Mutharika said after being asked by one citizen during the program  when he will act on the rotten ministers and cronies” (Chiluga, 2016),

Rohee

In Guyana:

“Speaking about perceptions currently enveloping the political atmosphere in Guyana, Rohee said the subject is of importance to any society. “Perception is important in any society. As they say, perception is reality, and I’d like to emphasise that. And we can’t view that selectively; it is a general, universally accepted social and psychological phenomenon, that perception is reality,” he said” (…) “It is not for me to say that. Why should I say that? That is a general perception out there,” (…) “Said he: “They are helping to reinforce that perception; when we were in government and now that we are in the Opposition. And now the government is being driven by media houses to deal with that matter by setting up SARU [State Asset Recovery Unit]. So let’s take it from there.” (Singh, 2016).

Jeff_South_Beat_04.05_(1)_CC

In Trinidad:

“CENTRAL Division police arrested a building contractor on Friday as he attempted to bribe a Local Government councillor who had cautioned him about substandard work on a project in the district” (…) “The Fyzabad contractor was arrested at the office of People’s National Movement (PNM) councillor for California/Point Lisas, Alif Rodney Mohammed, at around 10 a.m” (…) “Mohammed said he was offered a $1,000 bribe to turn a blind eye to shoddy work on a project in his electoral district” (Kissoon, 2016).

tining_1

In the Philippines:

“THE Office of the Ombudsman affirmed the indictment of Cebu Provincial Board Member Celestino “Tining” Martinez III and former Bogo City treasurer Rhett E. Minguez over allegedly irregular release of fertilizer fund amounting to P6 million in 2004” (…) ““As signatories, respondents should have raised reasonable questions on the legality or regularity of the transaction,” said Morales in her order” (…) “The Ombudsman also dismissed Martinez III from government service over the same case” (…) “In 2004, the Bogo City Government received six checks totaling to P6 million from the Department of Agriculture in Central Visayas for the procurement of fertilizer for rice and corn in 2004” (…) “Government auditors, in their 2006 report, said the foundation failed to liquidate the money. COA’s Audit Observation Memorandum also noted that the foundation failed to submit a list of previous projects implemented and that no accomplishment reports were submitted” (…) “State auditors also pointed out that officials failed to make representations with Sikap Yaman for the liquidation of the P6 million, while the Commission on Audit (COA) named the foundation as the supplier of 250 bottles of overpriced liquid fertilizers in Tuburan in 2004” (Dalipe, 2016).

Ukraine Railway

In Ukraine:

“Ukrzaliznytsia Head Wojciech Balczun. He wrote: “We will change railway tickets booking system. Also discussed this topic during the board meeting. Moving in the direction of the elimination of so called “commercial booking”, the huge source of abuse and corruption. Like when it is impossible to buy a ticket while trains are going empty” (…) “The commercial agent should take all risks. In one form or another there will be a reservation for vulnerable groups and government authorities. Majority of tickets for the open!” Ukrzaliznytsia CEO stressed” (Censor.net.ua, 2016).

So as seen now the cases are all over. It is one continuation from before from Malawi as the President are wondering how the Media got the hold of names involved in the greatest scandal with government funds except for the Zambian Maize fiasco. The others are proof of how old the corruption of back to ancient Athens and their Olympics. Also actions in the Guyana, Trinidad, Philippines and Ukraine; so the tales of corruption happens everywhere and showing tales that isn’t the Fox News crap or something else biased nonsense. This is just common corrupt behaviour. And there are always more! Peace.

SC/11719: 22. December 2014 – Broad Agreement in Security Council Wrap-Up on Strong Push to Overcome Divisions, as Members Strive to Abandon Outdated ‘Logic’ in Favour of Ethical Options

7352nd Meeting (AM) – Security Council

The meeting began at 10:07 a.m. and ended at 12:18 p.m.

The Security Council had rallied to consensus on several important issues in December, the Permanent Representative of Chad and President of that body said in a monthly wrap-up meeting, as members stressed the need to press ahead on issues and areas where they had failed to produce results.

The open debates on strengthening the partnership between the United Nations and the African Union and on the linkages between terrorism and transnational organized crime provided the basis for the international community to bolster action, Mahamat Zene Cherif said.

With the adoption of eight resolutions and four presidential statements on diverse and crucial issues of the day, the month’s session was not only busy but also condensed.  Further, by inviting the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to closed consultations, the Council demonstrated that human rights were not ignored behind closed doors, he added.

Several representatives lauded the Council’s achievements during the month, including the first resolution on transborder organized crime and terrorism and humanitarian relief in Syria.  They also specified areas where progress had been lacking, including in Ukraine and South Sudan.  Some described the Council’s failure to achieve a political solution to the Syrian crisis as a “dark chapter”.

The representative of the United States said the Council had been productive in a growing number of areas, which underscored the importance of maintaining focus and identifying priorities.  The body should focus on Syria in both its security and humanitarian dimensions and address the crises in Ukraine, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Yemen through greater collective efforts.

As a committed “pen holder”, France had sometimes become “hyperactive”, that country’s representative said, adding that members had always responded with faith in their values and taken decisions with great skill.  He expressed hope that the Russian Federation would engage in de-escalating tensions in both words and deed.

The Russian Federation representative said the Council should express concern and take action in “genuine” areas such the threat of Syrian chemical weapons falling into the hands of terrorists and the humanitarian obstacles posed by their increased territorial control.

The representative of Argentina said the Council often seemed to be stuck in the logic of the twentieth century and driven by geopolitical considerations rather than those of ethics, even in situations of massive violations of human rights and international law.

It was important for the Council to engage more in regional approaches to resolving crises, the representative of the Republic of Korea said, adding that the open debate on strengthening the partnership between the United Nations and the African Union had been an important opportunity for strategic collaboration.

The representative of Rwanda said his delegation had worked hard to fulfil the pledges it had made while campaigning for a Council seat and expressed hope that lessons learned from initiatives on peacekeeping, improving working methods, and preventing violence against women would be heeded.

The representative of Chile, the incoming Council president, said his country would focus on the deep-seated causes of conflicts and achieving broad solutions in the Middle East, the Democratic People’S Republic of Korea and other areas.

Also speaking today were the representatives of Australia, China, Jordan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
