IEBC: Chairman’s Address on the Status of Fresh Presidential Election (27.10.2017)

The day after the polls and no redemption is near. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has not announced any results since yesterday. The Jubilee Party has been silent as well. The Police brutality has persistent during the night in places like Butala where 11 where killed yesterday and, four raped. Today the Police has gone door-to-door in the Bungoma town. The Bungoma is today demonstrating against the police brutality, even as they have killed three more persons in the town. Just today! They have been throwing tear-gas into people’s homes and breached their space by going into them with excessive force.
And over 20 people have come to hospital with gunshot wounds in Kisumu. While the clergy of Kisumu says that, the postponed elections should not happen and the troops should scatter from the area. As the police brutality and army is creating insecurity. So it is not the protesters and demonstrators that are creating insecurity, but the brutal security forces.
In Machakos town near the bank, the police killed another civilian yesterday and the pictures of the deceased has been released on social media.
“Eight-year-old boy shot in Migori town during confrontation between protesters and police, rushed to Migori Level IV Hospital” (Kenya Citizen TV, 27.10.2017).
There are reports of 19 years old husband killed in Homa Bay today! There are reports of violence occurring still in Kibera and Mathare in Nairobi, but it is a black-out of information. So who knows, how the conditions and how many are affected by the state organized violence there.
The troops from Kenya Defense Force were dispatched yesterday to Kisumu, Nyanza, Homa Bay and Siaya Counties. They are really targeting the opposition strongholds. Trying to silence them and use brutality to stop them.
“POLICE RAID, search home of Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi; officers seek to arrest lawmaker over alleged offensive remarks against Uhuru” (NationBreakingNews, 27.10.2017).
This here cannot be respected or accepted, that after a boycotted election, the authorities makes the citizen suffer and hurt them. Because of their distrust in the government. It is rightfully so, that the Police Brutality comes into effect after a grandiose performance of civil disobedience and lack of will to participate in the Fresh Presidential Elections. It is happening the areas where the government and government party have not historically have had any strongholds either.
This here should not be accepted or be given way for, these senseless killings and oppression of own citizens, as they showed courage and boldness in saying “no” to vote and to not give legitimacy to the current leadership. That is why everyone is figuring out why the IEBC is cooking numbers and showing their disregard of the ballot and the results. They are just fixing it to make their king, stay king and so on.
This here is not a beautiful picture, it the aftermath of a brutal government, who does not respect the values of their citizens. The Jubilee Party have trouble lying and deceiving them, now they are ordering bullets and tear-gas into the homes, raiding homes and trying to silence the demonstrators. Nothing just about this, just a bleak controlling state.
This has to stop, stop now. This cannot go on, the innocent is dying while the powerful misuse their state security forces to silence and oppress others. Its wrong, stop. Put down the guns, leave the area and go back to barracks. Not kill civilians who are unarmed. Lay down your weapons, desert and stop the senseless killings. You soldiers are better than this. You could be take lives who could have been your kin. Is that okay? Your brother? Sister? Grandmother? Cousin?
That is what this is about and they are dying over a botched and wasted election. Not even a real one, a fiction inside the Bomas with fixed numbers and algorithms that re-elect Kenyatta. They deserve not to die over an IEBC Fan Fiction in honor of the Jubilee and Chebukati/Chiloba madness. No one deserve dying over that, nothing Noble and nothing good. Just mere charade and façade of Jubilee who is misusing the state organizations on their behalf.
Enough. Now. Please. Stop. Peace .

Latest reports indicate that some 220 shelters in Dar Es-Salam’s open area were removed by police on 23 October, reportedly leaving some 2,000 South Sudanese refugees without shelter.
GENEVA, Switzerland, October 26, 2017 – UNHCR’s Representation in Sudan is concerned about the inadequate response to the humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees in Khartoum. Over the past few months, thousands of refugees have been relocated or had their shelters demolished without adequate planning and consultation with the communities.
Latest reports indicate that some 220 shelters in Dar Es-Salam’s open area were removed by police on 23 October, reportedly leaving some 2,000 South Sudanese refugees without shelter. Other refugees have been relocated to Bantiu site in Jebel Auliya locality and Naivasha site in Omdurman where inadequate reception planning has resulted in over-crowding, inadequate shelter, and over-stretched water and sanitation facilities.
UNHCR has welcomed an initial visit jointly held by the Government and the UN in late August 2017 to Bantiu site in Jebel Auliya locality to make a general assessment of the situation of the South Sudanese refugees. That visit witnessed clear and urgent humanitarian needs in water, sanitation, shelter, health and education. Planning is underway for a more detailed Government – interagency assessment of the open areas in Khartoum state. A rapid assessment, supported with full access, will allow UNHCR and other actors to start providing much needed support.
UNHCR acknowledges the Government of Sudan’s wish to find more sustainable options for hosting South Sudanese refugees who are currently living in “open areas” in Khartoum state and stands ready to discuss those options, bearing in mind the importance of a consultative process with key stakeholders including the refugee communities. Pending these longer-term options, UNHCR is hopeful that the immediate humanitarian needs of the South Sudanese refugees in Khartoum will be addressed in a timely manner to avoid unnecessary suffering. In order to address the immediate and longer-term needs of South Sudanese refugees in Khartoum, agencies will also require donor support.
Across states, UNHCR is working to assist Sudan’s refugee response through providing basic services for over 450,000 South Sudanese refugees verified as newly arrived in the country since 2013, in partnership with the Commission for Refugees. UNHCR commends Sudan’s generous and open policy for hosting a large number of refugees.
The Government of Sudan estimate is that there are some 1.3m South Sudanese refugees in the country. UNHCR is working with Sudan to ensure all these refugees are captured through registration.

Well, this they has been special, its been very special, chickens, kids and dogs has been in polling stations. There been utter silence and enough photos proving the indifference and care for the ballots or even care repeated elections. We warned that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) should postpone it. Still, they didn’t have the courage to do so. They continued because they thought people was naive and would follow the orders of the ruling regime. Alas, that is proven today and it didn’t happen.
The IEBC Portal was quickly down, even as the IEBC has dropped 16,000 34A’s or Presidential Election Return Forms, that validates the counted votes from each polling station and is both signed and stamped by Returning Officers. This to certify the local election before sent away to central tally station.
When you look at the released forms, that the Kenyan Media doesn’t care about or discuss, because it is insulting and embarrassing. The embarrassment is results like this in Bobaracho Ward in Kisii County, where Uhuru got 33 votes, Raila got 1 and the total of voters there 368. This is not anomaly, but more of what is the usual at this point. In Busia, Matayos, Bukhayo West Polling Station, where it is registered 576 voters, there was 12 for Uhuru and one for Dida. So 13 voters out of 576. In Busia, Namibale, Namibale Town, where it is registered 593 voters, the total voters was 5 and all 5 was voting for Uhuru. In Kisumu, Kisumu West, North West Kisumu, total voters are 589, the total voters was 6 and they voted for Uhuru. In Vihiga, Sabatia county, Wodanga Ward total voters are 367, but total voters was 2 and they voted for Uhuru. In Bungoma, Webuye West county, Matulo Ward total voters 575, but there was total 92 who voted, out of these 91 voted for Uhuru and 1 voter for Raila.
Even if the IEBC has said the Kisumu elections are going to happen on Saturday, still they have released 34A’s from there and there was some election going-on, even if it was little or no-one showign up.
In different districts and tally centers like in Garissa University, in a county and area who really where boycotting the election today. There at the tally center the journalists are chased out of the tally center there.
It also is very rare for an Electoral Body that has accepted that someone pulled out and used the letter to revoke their candidacy like Raila Odinga and Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka could even be on the ballot. Also, that their results are reported in Kenyan National TV, like the withdrawal of 10th October 2017 didn’t appear. It just show how botched and wasted this day is. The IEBC cannot even get the proper ballots. As they have gazetted and pre-configured the results, that is why the findings and estimates of the elections is already 48% percentage of the electorate. Even when so many of the polling stations been deserted and the grand indifference to the presiding events today.
When those who has followed this will know the estimated amount of voters will then be about 9 million voters. On a day where the minimal people showed up and poll stations where ghost towns, even the most visited wasn’t barely legal level for any election. So if Wafula Chebukati and the IEBC, thinks the Kenyan people is this stupid. Then his lies and his career is on the line. The same with fellow partner Ezra Chiloba, who surely sitting on a cafe or somewhere making some new schemes.
We can wonder if in the tally centres if they stuffed the ballots or fixed the return forms to fit the ready made algorithms that fits the August Elections paradigm of Kenyatta victory. Since the IEBC never open their servers or even internal Results Transmission Systems, as the KIEMS and DNS on the Cambridge Analytica, this could be the reason for the why the IEBC Portal has been down and not been able to see the results like it was on the 8th August. Because the difference between the reality Chebukati is saying in his statement and what the IEBC really has is seemingly different.
While Benji Ndolo, who has a Jubilee Source says: “only about 3 million voted”. That means a measly part of the stats voted as anticipated. That means it is more likely about 15 % who voted in this election, since there is 19 million registered voters. That is defeating and also show how botched this day is and how the state has wasted resources into this polls. The IEBC have proven untrustworthy, as they have tried to fix the results again, when even Jubilee Sources says it is fantastically low!
I am sure that the IEBC needs a miracle to pull this off, everyone who can count and who looks at just some crunching numbers will see it is fiction. It is electoral fiction that makes Lord of Rings and Star Wars into films based on true stories. That is what the IEBC seems to be doing.
We can just wait for the second time President, the incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta are announced and preparing for swearing-in of the man. Not that I want President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto for a second time. Especially if they are rigging it like they are doing now. Even when people was not showing up. They we’re home doing Netflix and Chill. Or eating Unga and hoping this mess stops. Who knows. They were not out voting and giving a damn. They we’re civil disobedient to the electoral system, because they have all rights to do so. The IEBC has no trust and that is deserved.
The Foreign Envoys has tried to defend the IEBC and process, because they want a loyal ally and cheap imports of resources from Kenya. Therefore, they do this.
Happy Botched Day Uhuru Kenyatta, this must has been the most embarrassing day of your life, this must have been the worst day since someone dumped you or you ran out of beers. Who knows, but this is surely one of your worst birthday celebrations. They really said a gentle fuck-you! Peacefully, there was issues in Homa Bay, Kisumu and Mathare/Kibira/Nairobi, but the rest was more than generally peaceful.
So again Happy Botched Day Kenyatta! Peace.

That National Super Alliance (NASA) or the ‘National Resistance Movement’ (NRM) that Raila Odinga announced yesterday at Uhuru Park. Really has shown the election fatigue and distrust in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), that it was real. That President Uhuru Kenyatta are going and voting was expected. Even the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is on the ballot, even if they wrote a letter to IEBC on the 10th October 2017. Therefore, I am amazed to see pictures with the logo and names of Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka on the ballot even. Proven the ballots was ordered long before and printed ready in advance of these elections.
Like the boycott is working successfully in Machokos County, Garrissa County, Nanyuki, Kwale county, Makueni, Nairobi CBD NSSF Grounds, Meru County, Trans Nozia County, Uasin Gishu County, Eldoret, Kilgoris Country, Turkana County, Nakuru, Wajir County, Luanda South, Kakamega and the list could go on!
There been demonstrations and road-blocks where the police has thrown tear-gas and shot live bullets in the air. This has been in the slums of Kibera and Mathare in Nairobi. There has also been running battles in Kisumu. There been walking processions in Bangladesh, Mombasa, as the opposition supporters boycott the running elections. In Siaya County, the roads are barricaded and there is protests that are going on. Polling Stations has not open up in Homa Bay from Suba South to Kasipul. In Migori there is running battles between demonstrators and police. Where there been tear-gas and live bullets. The Voting material is still stuck in the Migori County tallying centre.
The turnout is low that even in some small pockets of the country, kids let in to vote, who are clearly under-age. This is just a serious breach within the electoral process, but proves how little people are showing up.
In some counties like Nandi, the turnout have been about 50%, but there aren’t an overall experience of elections and the boycott is felt. Last time there we’re long ques and people defying the cold weather and rains. Today there are few places which is packed. There are some, but not on same standard as in previous elections. Clearly, the message is sent. The boycott is showing and the legitimacy can be questioned, since the turnout is abysmal. Even chickens, dogs and whatnot has entered the polling stations. Just so, the staff and polling agents has something to while killing time.
This is just the first reports. Just imagine how it will be when it is collected and making sense. There been already one killed in Kisumu, while several are sent to hospital. There are also stories going around that the demonstrators during breaks have made ugali on the streets. That is a real powerful message to send, we are taking a break to eat, but when we are finished, we will continue to show our force.
NASA and Odinga is showing on the birthday of Kenyatta, that the ignorance and blatant attacks is not acceptable, together with the will of the people to see reforms before a new election! Peace.
