Opinion: Police besieging the Red Pepper and charging editors with ‘Treason’ after the published article, says there are more to the story, than Ugandan Government want the public to know!

The story that was published on the 20th November in Red Pepper named: “M7 Plotting To Overthrow Kagame – Rwanda”. Has clearly sparked some tensions within the National Resistance Movement and the Uganda Police Force. Since since 21st November the besieged paper, have been searched with warrants and the editors been charged today on the 23rd November with treason. This is like the Gen. Sejusa stories in May 2013 all over again. As the NRM are trying to deflect and says the stories are not true and is baseless. Still, they are assaulting and silencing the media who reported the story. It doesn’t make sense. If it is a baseless allegations and without merit. Wouldn’t it be better to not care or just file a complaint in court? Wouldn’t it be better to file a case and show that they have to retract the story after the allegations are falsified?

Instead, with the use of Anti-Terrorist Police and use of force within the headquarters after the story was published. You are allowed to question if the NRM are afraid of their secret operations and training camps of specialized militia. They have done similar with training camps in Kisoro for operations within Kivu provinces in Democratic Republic of Congo. So another story like this could be true. Therefore, with the recent reactions, it is harder not to be believe that Museveni wanted another foreign scalp. He has done that also in past, so he has the capacity and brazen armed tactics to fence of neighbors to get puppets there as well. Therefore, the story might be true, as the partisan police force are now attacking the Red Pepper.

Here is some reports on the latest news concerning the paper!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has learned, with dismay, of the Red Pepper cover story carried on Monday November 20, 2017 with the headline “M7 plotting to overthrow Kagame – Rwanda” in which the Red Pepper reproduces a malicious article by a Rwandan online publication “Rushyashya” of an alleged plan by the Ugandan Government to overthrow the Rwanda Government. The Ministry dismisses, with contempt, allegations carried by any media publications or platforms to the effect that relations between Rwanda and Uganda are anything but strong and cordial. The Ministry informs the citizens of both Uganda and Rwanda that the continuous innuendo by the likes of “Rushyashya” and various other media outlets both in Uganda and Rwanda, including the Red Pepper is mischievous at best, irresponsible at worst and meant to sow discord between our two sister nations. The Ministry condemns such abuse of the communication platforms they are privileged to manage” (Amb. Patrick S. Mugoya – ‘UGANDA-RWANDA TIES SOLID’ 20.11.2017).

Uganda: Committee to Protect Journalists concerned by reports that 8 senior managers and editors of RED Pepper UG were arrested yesterday over report. The directors and editors of Pepper Publications Group who were picked from their offices on Tuesday by police, are detained at Nalufenya Police Detention Centre in Jinja, according to Daily Monitor. The Tuesday operation was led by Kampala Metropolitan Commander, Mr Frank Mwesigwa. According to the company’s lawyer, Mr Dickens Byamukama, all the five directors and top editors were driven to Nalufenya at around mid-night. “All the directors plus three editors were taken to Nalufenya at around mindnight after being detained at our office for close to 8 hours. The police say they are going to drive them back to Kampala today [Wednesday], so we are still waiting on them,” Mr Byamukama said. The five directors are; Richard Tusiime (CEO), Patrick Mugumya (CPO), Arinaitwe Rugyendo (CM0), James Mujuni (CCO) and Johnson Musinguzi Byarabaha (CFO). The editors are; Ben Byarabaha (Managing Editor), Richard Kintu (News Editor) and Tumusiime Francis Tinywana (Bwino Newspaper Editor who doubles as General Manager)” (CPJ Africa – Committee to Protect Journalists, 22.11.2017).

Namanve based Red Pepper Publications has been ordered closed after an earlier siege by security personnel this afternoon. A source inside Red Pepper tells Nile Post that after rummaging the offices, the media house has been ordered to shut. “We have been ordered to close, all workers also ordered to stop working,” the source intimates. The source also adds that all computers have been taken, while workers have been asked to surrender their phones and electronic gadgets. Immediately after surrendering items, staff at red pepper have been ordered to vacate the premises with immediate effect. Red Pepper publication on November 20 published an article with headline; “M7 plotting to overthrow Kagame – Rwanda” which was reproduced from a Rwandan online publication “Rushyashya” of an alleged plan by the Ugandan Government to overthrow the Rwanda Government. However, the government in a statement by Ministry of Affairs Permanent Secretary, Patrick Mugoya, has rubbished the claims, citing that the two countries are currently enjoying strong and cordial relations” (Information Uganda, 21.11.2017).

Five directors and three editors of The Red Pepper are charged with treason, offensive communication and disturbing the peace of President Yoweri Museveni, Security Minister Henry Tumukunde and Gen. Salim Saleh. Those facing charges include directors, Arinaitwe Rugyendo, Patrick Mugumya, Johnson Musinguzi, Richard Tusiime and James Mujuni and editors Ben Byarabaha, Richard Kintu and Francis Tumusiime. They are all detained at Nalufenya Prison in Jinja district” (Uganda Radio Network, 23.11.2017).

So now the ones publishing a non-story is detained at Nalufenya and also charged with treason. They have taken all ICT and telecommunications at the headquarters. The Police and the Ministers has tried to deflect the story and saying there is nothing between Rwanda and Uganda. They have a cordial relationship as republics. But henceforth that is hard to believe, when editors and publishers of the Red Pepper is slapped with charges of treason.

They have clearly written something within the story of Museveni plotting to overthrow Kagame on the 20th November 2017. If there was nothing, would they have gone this far against the press and against the ones who wrote it? If there is nothing, why are they trying at the same time to deflect it to the media?

The signals they are sending and the assault on Red Pepper seems like panic-mode for a released story and dossier that hurts the relationship between Kagame and Museveni. As it shows again, that Museveni wants a puppet in Rwanda. That would not be surprising, as Museveni helped Rwanda Patriotic Front/Army in 1994, as the Rwandans helped him to power in 1986. The relationship between Kagame and Museveni have gone up and down over the years. But this would be a final blow between them. If not, Kagame maybe just don’t care about Museveni and his offerings.

Whatever, this is, it is clearly that it got the alert and the NRM working overtime. Since they cannot stomach the stories and the possible altercations created by it. They cannot manage to do it without reasons if it is a non-story. Like file a petition to court and get a verdict, then get damages and question the editors and journalists integrity. Instead, they are verifying the story, by detaining and putting charges of treason on their heads.

The toppling story of Kagame becomes more real, because of their actions. It seems less of conspiracy and more of a reality. Since the state has to do this to the publication and their workers. It makes it more likely, as their actions speaks louder than words. If it wasn’t anything to care about or fear. Why start with blazing guns and besiege the Red Pepper Headquarters?

The answer is within the state and within the security operation who has done this. It is within the leadership of the NRM and the Security Officials who are mentioned. They have the answers and could open up for possible reasoning. They cannot speak with double tongues. In one perspective: “it’s nothing, don’t look” and secondly: “it’s treasonous and criminal, don’t look!”. It is either a crime, because the state planned something criminal and trying to change the leadership in Rwanda. Or it is fiction, which could be challenged in the courts. Instead, the first is more likely, than the latter. That is because of the activity and the blatant acts of oppression against the Red Pepper. The NRM cannot hide from that, President Museveni can neither.

Kagame is the only one that should be smiling, since his counterparts has to clean-up his shop and show his real stamina. While keeping cool. That is why we haven’t heard anything from Rwanda on this matter. They are cool and smug about it. They should be too, since the NRM and Museveni is the ones losing face. Peace.

Opinion: President Museveni call-out rebel MPs as Parasites; so the Age Limit is all about him then?

Let’s first start with a new word (Parasitism) from the Encyclopedia Britannica: “Parasitism, relationship between two species of plants or animals in which one benefits at the expense of the other, sometimes without killing the host organism” (Encyclopedia Britannica – ‘Parasitism’). So clearly, the words of Parasites are important today, because of the use of it from a President to his fellow MPs. It is inspiring to know how he feels about his comrades who are disagreeing with him. It is just something else.

Because, it is now revealed in a letter sent from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who sent a letter on the 7th November 2017 to the National Resistance Movement MPs: Theodore Ssekikubo, Monicah Amonding, Barnabas Tinkasimire and Patrick Oshabe Nsamba. All of these wrote a letter on the 4th October questioning the Age Limit and the lifting of the Article 102(b). This is clearly insulting to President Museveni. As I will quote some parts of this 2 page letter to fellow MPs, which all are part of his own party.

It is your duty to contribute to that process and not to undermine it” (…) “There are still problems of poverty (19% now from 56% in 1989) and also inadequate jobs. This, partly, is due to the obstruction by some of you” (…) “Many of you talk negatively have not to contributed to the ideology of patriotism, to the liberation of the country, to the recovery of the economy and country, to the consolidation of peace or to the great developments that we have achieved. Yet you benefit economically and otherwise. We call this parasitism and that parasitism will be resisted and defeated. I hope you find this information useful” (Yoweri Kaguta Musevei – ‘ Re: Constitutional Amendment of Article 102(b) to lift the Age Limit for President’ (07.11.2017).

That was the parasitism, which means that the NRM MPs are benefiting on the expense of Museveni and without killing him by doing so. That their role as MPs is costly for Museveni and that it hurts him. They are combined together where the other MPs are abusive of Museveni, therefore, they are sticky parasites who eats the good stuff and leaves the leftover for Museveni. That is how we can understand this letter and his insulting words to fellow comrades and MPs. This are men and woman who have been rising inside his party and within his organization. That he has such effortless insults to his own, shows how all of them are just props and needed gallery functions, unless they are standing against him politically.

That is why the letter is saying a lot. That President Museveni see’s dissidents to him as parasites. Who leach of his skin and who eats his benefits. Benefits he gives them and make sure they are well feed. That is how it is sounds, so the cronyism and necessary control is understandable, as everyone, who needs anything. Will have to show up and be parasites at the State House. Before they are returning with their needed goods and food to survive. Since he is giving them benefits and giving them what they need. Without any of them dying from it. They are eating of him and they are benefiting, but he is not sacrificing himself. Which is within reason, considering he has been doing this sort of transactions since 1986.

But know now, that the dissidents within the NRM are parasites, that are benefiting from his mercy and goodwill. Not their good work or initiative, they are only benefiting because of Museveni. Everything is connected with Museveni and he is making sure the parasites are okay. They are dependent on him and his possible energy and reserves. The parasites usually dies, while the host continues to live on. That have seen with dozens of former loyal parasites in the past. Who all have leached off him and is now Historicals of different kind.

We can just wonder, what was his motivation to call several of his own MPs parasites? What was running through his mind and his vision, when writing these words? Did he think of the disgraceful and merciless attitude. We all know that the lifting of the age limit is for his life presidency and nothing else. There are no good legal argument that has come forward or anyone who has come with explanations worthwhile to listen too. This is all made for President Museveni and nothing else.

He must surely think the same about every single one who are working for him and around him. That they are parasites who eats of his cake and his veins. They are tiring him and taking away his nutrients, so they can live of him. Because everything is usually about him. In this case, the whole amendment of the Constitution is about him. He knows it and the world knows too. It is just a matter of little information and knowledge of the President. And you know his reasons and his ways, will always be about him. He is the giver and the ones that takes away. He is the one man that makes sure they can be MPs and the ones that make them civilian again. Peace.

Opinion: Odinga is not cornered, but has to show a plan to dismantle the Jubilee with peaceful means!

People are underestimating Raila Odinga and the rest of the National Super Alliance, even as the results of 26th October and the verdict in the Supreme Court of 20th November 2017. If it had been a real election and victory, there would be celebration everywhere and not a sort of tension. Where the NASA has to ask for calm among their supporters and ask for time address the matter.

While Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are preparing for the 28th November 2017 and their swearing-in for the second term. We can wonder if they really believes in this victory, as they have not come strong forward or even proclaimed themselves like winners do. That Ruto celebrated a hot-minute on Twitter, which shouldn’t count, unless your related to Donald Trump.

That Kenyatta and Ruto should feel uneasy is because after the October Elections, the companies that the NASA has boycotted have felt a pitch and even rebranded Brookside Milk to Tusky’s when trying to sell it. Clearly, the NASA shows their power and their base within Kenya. That the recent elections are not trustworthy. As IEBC had to seconds after the verdict release a statement, that they are a organization who is capable of running elections. Even if evidence says otherwise, even if that wasn’t produced to court or with merit.

Odinga, Kalonzo Mysoka, Mudavadi and Orengo has to show their force and their resistance, their defiance and not compliance to the state. Since this state is rigged against them and fitted for Kenyatta. This is proven, again and again. The rules are set for NASA, but Jubilee can do the same and it doesn’t matter. If NASA demonstrate, Police Brutality appears, Jubilee demonstrate and the police are bystanders. It is two different worlds of two different set of rules.

We know that Kenyatta didn’t win this, even if he is announced and sworn-in. He knows it too, if not he wouldn’t need to quell dissenters with bullets and tear-gas. Because he knows he is illegitimate and the ones appearing on his day will be dictators and the foreign envoys of doom. The party will be fake and forgery, just like the election.

This is all well-known and don’t even need consideration. Odinga and NASA needs to find out more ways to hurt and show the weakness of the regime. Show them their own game and play out their hands. They will later lose it and show their hand. Than the NASA can overcome this rigged botched election. Where nothing was right and the Supreme Court was in the end intimidated. In the end the whole system was rigged as the IEBC had to fix the voter turnout to give him decent numbers in the polls. Even if the real turnout was much less.

We just have to see what is their next move, as the Jubilee Administration are going all haywire in violence, intimidation and ruthless acts of Moi era into the future. That is why Kenyatta is asking advice from Moi as well. They are not wishing of showing good values and deeds. Just to own the republic. Not respecting the real will and be honest about it. These two leaders has no scruples to stay in power and also secure their future.

Therefore, NASA and Odinga has to move, have to act and show civil disobedience and their will to hurt by boycott and not being compliance to the rigged system run by Jubilee. Peace.

26th October Elections: The Supreme Court validated the charade!

Today the Supreme Court of Kenya did something decisive, they have accepted the 26th October 2017 Fresh Presidential Elections, the Supreme Court Justices verdict and ruling, have validate the second presidential elections in Kenya. Not that should have, but they did. It is now a fact, not fiction. That 26th October Elections are verified through court, as the petitions put to the Court has been dismissed.

The Petitions of Hon. John Harun Mwau and Mue Njonjo versus the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) was both dismissed today, both as consolidated and without merits, therefore, they could dismiss them. This meaning as they self put forward in their ruling: “As a consequence, the presidential election of 26th October 2017 is hereby upheld, as it is the election of the 3rd Respondent” (Supreme Court, 20.11.2017).

That meaning that the announced results of the questionable election of 26th October 2017 is still standing. That it still has meaning and is viable, even after all threats, all disorganized efforts and blatant lies from the IEBC. Still, the Supreme Court validated them today and shown no moral backbone or understanding of their efforts. The provisions used today is more a mere reflection of self-value, then of enacting the laws. The IEBC and Jubilee, together with all providers should be jolly and happy, but not be content for long. Because everyone who has followed, knows about the flaws and misgivings of the election.

Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto, might be confident and thinking of themselves as winner, as rightful President and Deputy President. However, they are not and never will be. They have faked it and rigged it. They didn’t win this one and can never say so. I doesn’t matter how big of public display on the swearing-in ceremony and how many dictators showing up to shed glory on the event.

This was a non-victory; this was an affair beneath the stature of the Kenyan Republic and the Kenyan people. This was a disgrace and disregard of the public will. This was the will of man and one party, not for betterment of the Kenyan Republic. Then, it would have definitively ended differently. Kenyatta and Ruto might bask in glory and celebrations today. As if it was a victory, they can play it out like that. But there will be running in the streets of celebrations. It will be more military police and police brutality; it will be more violence and be a power vacuum between Kenyatta and the people. That is because he created this with this theft. He stole it and now he took it.

Let’s be clear, Kenyatta and Ruto will not have legitimacy or authority. They will be puppets for cartels and whoever they borrow money to spend one themselves and their clientele. There isn’t any checks and balances as the Ethics- and Anti-Corruption Board is filled with stooges who are connected with the party. They don’t want to rock boat, as much as anyone else doesn’t want that to. It is still their time eat. The supper is yet to finish!

This elections is disregard of the people and their will. This is disregard of the codes and laws of the constitution, the provisions put forward to run a free and fair election. This was not that and shouldn’t ever be associated with that. This was a heist and theft. Nothing else! Peace.
