The People’s President campaign rally in Atiak today!

Atiak Amuru 24.12.15 FDC

Yesterday the Police of Amuru went on frontal attack the FDC campaign team and their venue in Atiak. Today the FDC team went back to the venue and they held a peaceful presidential campaign rally. On the same spot as the Police scattered the people and used tear-gas and bullet into the crowds. Dr. Kizza Besigye returns and shows that he will not give for the cause of change, yet again the NRM-Regime and their police has used violence instead of democratic means to defy their opposition. Peace.

Besigye comments on on Atiak skirmishes with police (Youtube-Clip)

Atiak 23.12.15

Atiak in Amuru was a war zone yesterday evening. Some of the lethal apparatus used can be seen here. Defiance all the way. Besigye has revisited this place today morning to check on the victims of state brutality.

The spirit of Defiance has led Besigye back to Atiak in Amuru district this morning where he was teargased along his supporters who had gathered to see him as he drove to Adjumani. Time check 8:00am (as many of u still enjoyed your beds) and Besigye was already addressing the victims of state repression! He is now on the way back to Adjumani. True commander never leaves the injured unattended to.

Besigye said “Don’t fear those police and their guns. Those guns will never defeat people power. If you are determined, you can even overrun that police station and force them to surrender”.

On Social media a witness said this about yesterdays actions in Atiak:

Heavily armed Police lawlessly dispursed hundreds of KB suporters in Atiak, who where standing by the road side junction waving at KB as his convoy were heading to Adjumani. A big shame to Amuru DPC, Ahimbisime whom I saw firing dozens of live bullets at civilians and several cannistars of tear gas that spreaded at a square of over 1KM.

Peace

NRM in Talks With Primaries Losers to Drop Intentions of Going Independent (Youtube-Clip)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHuSiwRLUo8

“Tanga says the NRM losers are wasting time since they will meet the same voters who didn’t give them votes in the primaries” (NBS TV, 2015)

It’s Official: Kahinda Otafiire is now a Independent Candidate for MP in Ruhinda Constituency

Kahinda Otafiire 2016-2021 Election Poster

Kahinda Otafiire the loyalist NRM, the bush-hero who lost in the NRM Primary Election recently. We all know he lost to a brother who was jailed. As many other losers he petitioned his case to Dr. Tanga Odoi and his NRM Electoral Commission without luck. He then described the whole “Primary Election as a Circus”. So now he has finally taken the last straw.

He has taken an official decision to go independent, even if his felly Yellow members in his constituency was tired of his life-long leadership. Now it is full-circle he has sided himself with other sore losers of the NRM Primaries and gone solo or Independent. Even if he has always been a NRM, he can’t be officially affiliated since he doesn’t go on their ticket or are their flag-bearer.

He will fight the one he has already lost to and other candidates from other parties. I am sure if he loses than also in 2016. He will claim misconduct and that he was unjustly treated by the Electoral Commission and that it was rigged in favor of one of the other candidates. That the tally center was controlled by fellow people who worked against him; and that ended in him not becoming an MP in the 10th Parliament. Peace.

One on one with Jimmy Akena About his Loss of UPC Top Seat (Youtube-Clip)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgrYAcpJMPU

“The Court dismissed Jimmy Akena as the UPC President on grounds that the procedure followed to elect him was not right. Olara Otunnu who was thrown out of office has been restored back. Jimmy Akena has not given up as yet as he has appealed to the Court of appeal” (NBS TV, 12.12.2015).

My first thought? Are you having little sleep Jimmy? Are you stressed with the Ruling from the High Court!

Some reports say this:

“High Court has declared the presidency of Jimmy Akena, the embattled Uganda People’s Congress Party president illegal. Justice Yasin Nyanzi made the ruling this evening saying the UPC party Electoral Commission didn’t have the powers to declare Akena UPC president since the delegate’s conference, which elected him wasn’t properly constituted” (Radio Buddu 98.8, 11.12.2015).

“The ruling was in response to an application filed by Joseph Bossa, the UPC vice President under the Olara Otunnu administration and two others, challenging Akena’s presidency. The petitioners rushed to the High Court Civil Division on June 17th shortly after Akena was controversially declared UPC party president” (94,3 QFM Lira, 11.12.2015).

Sarah Kagingo stated this on 1. July 2015:

In steps of his father, Lira municipality MP Jimmy Akena is announced winner today in the UPC district conferences elections held on Saturday. He won in 67 districts out of 110. Congrats in order…” (…)”Sole candidate? I’m told, under UPC constitution, one needs at least 37 districts’ support before they are eligible to be voted. Hon. David Pulkol who came second was supported by 12 districts. Therefore, of the nine who stood, Hon.Jimmy Akena is the only one who qualifies to be elected as party president at the party’s national conference on July 10 making him sole candidate.

Well, there seems that something was fishy about how Hon. Jimmy Akena took over for Hon. Olara Otunnu in the summer, but now with the ruling it seems even worse with the condition of the UPC. An how can UPC work together with NRM, if they don’t have a legit leader, well, NRM has a sole candidate! Why can’t the UPC? Just joking, but I am sure your seeing my valid point. Though I support Olara Otunnu in the matter and he has right to have justice done. If I after this clip calls him Red-Eye Akena, then you understand why, right? Could his eyes be more red! Well, he has surely been awake and afraid of the verdict. Since we can see how he answers for himself and it was not in anyway clarifying or address the matter of his Presidency properly, just terms null and void answers. Olara Otunnu must be jolly and smiling somewhere together with his fellow comrades in the party. Peace.
