Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – Press Statement (05.11.2022)

Incorrect news is reported in the media, the press and social media about an agreement to grant judicial immunities, the coalition affirms its declared position in the document of foundations and principles for a political solution leading to ending the coup – which it published to public opinion earlier – in which it clarified its vision about the parties to the political process and the structures of the “all-civilian” transitional authority.

In addition to the issues, including security and military reform that leads to a single professional national army, the subordination of all military and security forces to civilian authority, and the implementation of a comprehensive process of justice and transitional justice that exposes crimes, holds violators accountable, does justice to the victims and heals wounds. This ensures that there is no impunity, that crimes are not repeated and that the wanted persons are handed over to the Criminal Court.

We stress that there is no truth to the news circulating about freedom and change reaching an agreement in relation to full or partial judicial immunities for the benefit of any party or individuals. This cannot be done without consultation and broad acceptance of stakeholders.

The forces of freedom and change put the issue of justice at the forefront of the issues that must be dealt with in a comprehensive and transparent manner with the wide participation of all stakeholders, and we present our vision around it clearly and unambiguously.

Sudan: Sudanese Congress Party – Statement on the attack on the Sudanese Lawyers’ House (01.11.2022)

The military coup authority, through the so-called Appeals Committee, issued a decision to cancel the decision of the Empowerment Committee, return the lawyers committee of the former regime, and dissolve the steering committee of the Bar Association, which is an invalid decision in form and substance and it is still subject to appeal and appeal, despite the decline in justice, human rights apostasy, and the tragedy of the absence of law, and it is a clear targeting by the forces of apostasy and coup against what the Bar Association and its home represent in the gains of the glorious December revolution, this was also followed by attempts to storm the lawyers’ house by armed gangs of the former regime, which were protected by the police forces that protected the attackers and attacked those inside the house.

Our steadfast people:

These decisions are nothing but a desperate and miserable attempt to turn back the clock, and it is a continuation of the path of apostasy pursued by the coup authority by returning the dismissed former regime, cancelling the decisions of the Empowerment Dismantling Committee, and mobilizing sectarian strife and civil strife, it is the tricks of the former regime, and their continuous attempts to return to power, which it will not be.

Our victorious people

You are in the Sudanese Congress Party, as we declare our solidarity with the Steering Committee of the Sudanese Bar Association, and our rejection of the decisions of the Coup Appeals Committee, and that the legal sector of the Sudanese Congress Party will work with its companions from the forces of the revolution to thwart all their efforts and expose their obscurantist movements by the force of the law and in the spirit of the revolution that will not be defeated by these conspiracies, and we affirm that the weapon of defeating the coup and the former regime is the unity of the forces of the revolution, and to continue to reform the military and judicial institutions, and that there is no compromise on dismantling the regime of June 30, 1989, and that we will continue the path of struggle and resistance, with the Sudanese and Sudanese, until the restoration of the civil and democratic path.

Long live our people free and victorious

Sudan: Khartoum Resistance Committees Coordination – Police Press Statement (26.10.2022)

We read the statement issued on October 25th by the Head of the Sudanese Police Forces, which labels the peaceful protestors as “trained forces in armed military formations”, relying, in that false assessment, on the banners the protestors carry and the means of physical protection they use (such as masks and gloves) in the face of the police’s excessive oppression, which often leads to severe and at times fatal injuries in protests.

It’s a defining mark of authoritarian regimes to turn weapons bought by the people’s wealth against the people themselves. The Sudanese Police Forces have continuously failed to comprehend and fulfill their role as a civilian force established to protect the people. Rather, it continues to behave as a brutal militia with an insatiable appetite for aborting acts of freedom.

It’s a habit of the Sudanese Police Forces to fabricate stories about peaceful protests in order to legitimise shameful acts against them; acts such as arbitrary detention, torture and murder. We call on all human rights agencies and national and International organisations to continue to closely monitor and document violations by the Sudanese Police Forces against peaceful protestors and activists.

Let us be clear: The revolution will continue and the revolutionaries will prevail, despite repeated vocal and physical threats against them. As the number of those killed reaches 120 martyrs since the October 25th 2021 coup, and thousands since 2019, our determination shall not wane, nor shall we be discouraged from achieving our goal of establishing full civilian democratic rule founded on the pillars of freedom, justice and peace. Globally, the Sudanese revolution has become a beacon for peaceful resistance and inspired millions. We pledge to sustain the peacefulness of our resistance and protect it against the smear campaigns of those who refuse to be liberated by the sacrifices of their own people.

Long live the resistance.

Sudan: The Unified Office of Physicians – Press Statement (26.10.2022)

An ambulance was attacked by the coup forces and the medical weapon hospital was used as a site for firing tear gas at the revolutionaries.

One of the ambulances transporting the injured in the convoy yesterday in Omdurman was attacked by the forces of the coup d’état with sticks and stones. This led to the breaking of the driver’s ribs and intimidation of the volunteer medical staff.

The forces of the coup d’état have also used Al-Salaa Medical Hospital as a site to launch tear gas at the revolutionaries from inside.

This incident is added to the series of heinous violations committed by the coup authority against medical personnel and the injured as justified by her miserable revolutionary creed, which the Unified Office will continue to monitor.

The medical staff and the injured do not find the necessary protection at the present time to carry out their work and for treatment. Rather, they are threatened by the authority entrusted with their protection.

This incident and the events that preceded it contradict all values humanitarian ideals, and human rights organizations working in the field of protecting health personnel should escalate this matter so that the situation is prepared for medical personnel to treat the injuries inflicted by the forces of the coup authority.

Sudan: Sudanese Congress Party – Press Statement (26.10.2022)

A statement on the victory of the October 25 million march victory and the rise of a martyr at the hands of the brutal coup authorities

Our brave people;

The streets of the homeland, which do not and will not betray, overflowed on the 25th of October, 2022 AD, the first anniversary of the premature coup, with violent, peaceful revolutionary floods, where the Sudanese women and men rose from every corner and direction in many cities and villages, the halal and the Furqan, to hear the roaring of their throats who were deaf, that we the people are the authority and the source of legitimacy, and that the authority of the revolutionaries, opportunists and remnants of the former regime, they will inevitably go, completing the process of civil democratic transformation under a purely civilian leadership is the decision of the people and their revolutionary forces combined, for there is no will to overcome the will of the proud masses, but the authoritarian regimes hear only the echo of their rejected voices, you do not understand the lessons and lessons that this struggling people wrote in the pages of ancient and modern Sudanese history. Neither containers did any good, nor did cutting the Internet prevent the flow of torrential masses, so the coup authority did not hesitate to implement its hateful suppression machine.

The blood of a revolutionary martyr spilled the blood of our land, Al-Anoud, to join the hundreds of honorable martyrs who redeemed freedom, peace and justice with the most precious of their possessions, as well as dozens of casualties among the ranks of the revolutionaries and the free revolutionaries.

our esteemed people;

We in the Sudanese Congress Party, from the outset, have mercy on the spirit of the heroic martyr, and we send many prayers for the injured for a speedy recovery, and it is only right for us if they are proud of the courage and steadfastness of the Sudanese and the free Sudanese, and their captivating unity behind noble national goals, this great people with steel will and solid determination deserves to enjoy a dignified life worthy of their great sacrifices, and I am proceeding on the path of salvation round after round, accompanied by our people and their revolutionary forces, our complaints will not be broken by repression or oppression, we will remain on the covenant until complete victory.

Long live our people free and victorious

Sudan: Sudan Central Doctors Committee – Statement on renewed fighting in Blue Nile State (22.10.2022)

The Central Committee of Sudan Doctors regrets the renewed fighting in Blue Nile State, Damazin countryside, after the relative calm witnessed in the conflict areas in the previous weeks.

These unfortunate events were renewed despite the warnings they issued the state’s living civil forces and doctors’ committees, and all indications indicate that the origin of the problem has not yet been addressed, and that the state government has not seriously sought to resolve the conflict, and there are some affiliated with the regional government involved in supporting one of the parties to the conflict.

The Committee, while sending its deepest condolences and sympathy to both parties; It confirms that the ongoing battles have left a number of dead and dozens wounded, most of them outside the borders of the city of Damazin, and we have been working since the beginning of the events to count them and verify the data despite the difficulty of the task of obtaining accurate information and numbers.

We also reassure the families and families of the injured on both sides that they are fine and in complete health, and we also ask them to have self-restraint and renounce conflict and discrimination, for what unites the Sudanese – despite their different cultures and the multiplicity of their faces and dialects – is greater than what separates them.

The repetition of these events indicates that there are parties behind them that are used by a means for pressure and political gain, the coup government is not innocent of that.

Months after the outbreak of the first incidents, a security precaution could have been taken to prevent another incident, but the state of security liquidity continued to worsen the security situation in a way that portends a catastrophe.

The coup authority bears responsibility for the blood shed in the Nile State, Al-Azraq, and it bears the burden of the war that erupted in the Lagawk region of Kordofan and led to the loss of a generous group of people.

It addresses issues of justice in a fair and comprehensive manner, dismantles the structure of the June 30, 1989 system, and leads to free and fair elections at the end of the transitional period that will enable the Sudanese people to express their free will and choose their representatives in a fair and transparent manner.
