Opinion: The MPs better have Code
“A Man Gotta Have A Code” – Omar Little (Fictional Character from the Wire)
In a den of thieves, in a gang or a group of people, the ones who are assembling or gathering together needs codes. A man needs a Code to be a guideline and be a line not to cross. Everyone who lives needs that. It isn’t written in law or a regulated affair, but a moral and a selective reason not to do so.
The Members of Parliament are stopping a music festival on moral grounds and possible sexual immorality. This is from MPs who is living lavish among poverty. It is the elite blocking a yearly event (unless it was COVID-19 Lockdown). This would have been the 7th edition of Nyege Nyege this year.
Alas, a man got to have a code. Is there where the buck stops? The buck didn’t stop with abducting civilians in drones? The buck didn’t stop with extra judicial killings? The buck didn’t stop with grand corruption or “missing funds”?
No, the buck stops with dancing in bikinis and possible youth rebelling against their predecessors, which has been going on since the beginning of time. The MPs who has all sort of questionable behaviours themselves. They are pocketing unwarranted monies, envelopes for serving the State House and getting perks under the table. MPs who are able to get away with theft, land-grabs and other shady business-practices, but it’s morally wrong to have a huge music-festival.
That’s really telling isn’t it? They are like those pastors who speaks against having sex outside marriage. While they are having affairs and side-dishes, which are sitting in the congregation and some are on stage singing in the choir. That’s what the MPs are up too these days. The same sort of hypocrisy.
That’s why we are seeing the former VP Edward Ssekandi having a case with a former mistress over land. This the sort of people who are ruling the nation. We have seen how Bukenya have dabbled in the youth. His not alone doing the boogie. It is happening and they are finding the babes, if they need to be. That’s the game they do in secrets and they hoped it would stay that way.
However, the citizens are supposed to live holier than though. Even when their leaders, representatives are greedy and ghastly in use of power. These folks has no issues and cannot be questioned. That’s why they have titles and fat bank-accounts. They have nice vehicles and entitled to greatness. While the ones their serving are lucky if they can afford the next meal or have a gig to go to. Therefore, the MPs are really lecturing the people like preachers, but not practising it themselves.
Time will really tell how this one goes… but the MPs has some answers to deliver. They are now acting morally superior and extremely judgmental. That is a burden they now have to carry. They have to lift it and prove they are worthy of it. Since, they are putting themselves on a pedestal and that’s why they should shine purely for the city. These should be the examples of the Republic and be the ones you aspire to be….
However, we know the drill. At one point or another. They will take shortcuts to riches, they will accept bribes and they will accept oppression of the citizens with impunity. That’s how they collect their fortunes and get to live like royalty. This is why they are not interested in justice, liberty or freedom for all. They got it all it, but they are worried about the fate of others. No, that’s why they are only concerned with morals in the sense of entitlement and arrogance, but not when it’s concerned with their own actions or responsibilities. That’s when the law is used against you and you will suffer for pointing it out.
A man got to have code… but don’t expect it to be universal. Here is the moral of story, a MP will use rhetoric and ethical reasoning for own benefit, but never use it in context of themselves. No, that’s never happening. They are absolved of that and are to privileged to do that. These people don’t deserve that…. Peace.
Opinion: Immorality and immortality will follow the 11th Parliament… [The Nyege Nyege ban]
“Parliament has stopped the ‘Nyege Nyege’ festival, an annual social event scheduled to take place next week in Jinja. Tororo Woman MP Hon Sarah Opendi says the event is a breeding ground for sexual immorality” (Parliament of Uganda, 05.09.2022).
“Speaker Anitah Among on Nyege Nyege:
We are talking about morality of this country; we are talking about our children. You are trying to promote tourism at the expense of our children? We are not going to allow this function to take part” (Parliament of Uganda, 05.09.2022).
“Hon. Akello Rose Lilly the Minister of State for Ethics and Integrity has informed the house that they had given the following conditions if the event is to happen.
▶️ Children below 18 shouldn’t attend
▶️ Nobody should go to that event naked” (Parliament Watch, 05.09.2022).
You thought the games of late Reverend Simon Lokodo is over. In 2022 the late one has been revived and his sort of play gets a renaissance. The 11th Parliament just mere days ahead is banning and blocking a popular music-festival in Jinja. The first since the COVID lockdowns and the supposed 7th Edition of it.
Alas, the reasoning for the banning is striking. They are claiming it to be immoral. A morality is a hard standard to set and even to define. Because, what is morally right or wrong?
The Police Act has the rights to regulate assemblies, as gatherings or processions in concern to music festivals. They are regulating the festival in the accordance and only stopping it if its disturbing the peace. It is the Inspector General’s role to write the person who organize the event and a notice to prohibit the convening of the assembly aka music festival. That’s what is stated in the Police Act.
With this in mind… is the Parliament even morally objective or the right persons to ban this event? Because, it isn’t like there isn’t questionable characters, immoral people there or people who used illegal means to get into office. Like are we supposed to forget how MPs are rigging primary elections, paying-off opposition candidates and using the authorities to intimidate the voters to vote on them. That’s morally questionable actions, which have been supported or benefited the ones in question. Secondly, many MPs have been in martial troubles, side-dishes and corruption scandals themselves. So, some of these people shouldn’t lecture others on how to be righteous. When their whole private affairs are questionable and their working career is known for alleged criminal behaviour. That in addition to the regime and how the state operates in concern to the citizens, which can also be seen as immoral. Because, who has the rights and liberties to suspend other people opportunities and rights at any given moment. Yes, the MPs and the majority party does that on a regular too.
That’s why when I hear there is moral objections to the Nyege Nyege festival from the MPs and the Parliament. The Parliament and the MPs should ask themselves if they can fit into the same program. If they can be vindicated from questioning of their moral and righteous actions. Yes, there been questionable acts done at Nyege Nyege and sexual activity, which are a part of a music scene. That is clear, but these MPs have also their sins to atonement for too. This is why they shouldn’t be so high and mighty. They are not priests, pastors or reverends for that matter. The MPs are representatives of the people and they should represent them all. Not only like Mama Janet and try to be morally superior, when she’s clearly not…
Well, the MPs and the Parliament is playing a high stakes game here. Yes, what is the threshold for nudity and when is a person naked? Is it a fashion statement? Is that differentiated between the genders? Because naked is subjective at one point. Yes, some fashionable attires especially for musicians is very revealing. When is it nude and when is it cloth? I don’t have the answer, but when the MPs are setting a standard. They better be equipped to have reasons for it. Especially, since this is a moral concern and not a legal one. There is no law here about it.
The reasons for banning people under 18 years is fine. Parents should be parenting and kids shouldn’t be part of all sorts of music festivals. That is sensible and have nothing to add here.
However, the precedence here is striking. The idea of banning it so few days ahead. As the organizers have booked the artists, gotten the stages and the pre-planned the festival from all sorts of logistical standpoints. The Parliament is legit destroying it and their financial muscles to sustain. They are practically “killing” it and doing it without a warning.
Seriously, the MPs have to answer for their own moral judgments and they better be pure. They better be like saints and act holier than thou. Because, if they can do this all of a sudden. They should have a clean slate and not a single issue. Their hands should be clean and never ever breached what was morally right. Especially, if that’s the grounds for banning a music-festival like Nyege Nyege. Peace.
Uganda: Press Statement by the Minister of State for Ethics and Integrity – Office of the President (28.04.2021)
Opinion: Lokodo’s prayers wasn’t answered….
Former Reverend Simon Lokodo, the Minister of Ethics and Integrity lost today in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Primaries. This after he ran for the first time in the new constituency of Dodoth West in Karenga District. The man has been in Parliament since 2006. So after being in office and a lawmaker for 14 years. This is the bitter end.
Lokodo can be known for a lot of things. How he wanted to arrest and go after Dr. Stella Nyanzi. How he wanted to stop people watching porn and wanted to procure a device to monitor people watching it.
This man really had a lot of nerve. He went after Ministers and acted holier than thou. This man wasn’t a man of faith nor of ethics. It was only what could benefit himself and his cronies. He was using his office to get personal gains.
That is why the loss today isn’t only a big defeat for the Minster, but should also show that the people was tired of it. He didn’t represent them and wasn’t delivering anything substantial.
He has gone after Bad Black and Stella Nyanzi, but not after people who has done anything harmful. Just the one that is blasting the NRM and the “high above”. That is why he couldn’t procure a machine, but go after dissidents. That is just the fashion of the business and how the NRM operates.
The reverend knows this. That is why he has defended Janet Museveni and the mother of Yoweri. However, he has not defended the ones who needed a Ministry or act as a representative in office. No, his just had to be another busy body.
I don’t this man wants to be remembered this way, but that is his legacy. As a man with fallacies and misconceptions. A man who didn’t know better, but tried to act as a wise Yoda. Even when he couldn’t even feel the force or have the natural Jedi within himself. He was just a brother on a mission to destination “unknown”. That’s why his delivery sucked too and the public didn’t want him to be a flagbearer again.
This man had his turn. He had 14 years in Office. Still, the man didn’t do anything to help. Only self-serving missions to nowhere. Now that only left him with a torn legacy.
As he was ex-communicated by the Pope for joining politics. The public have no disconnected him for standing as a NRM MP in the up-coming General Elections in 2021. He can run as an Independent MP. However, that maybe make him a looser twice, as it has done others.
Lokodo should really consider himself and his standing. He has had time and opportunities, but not served the public. It is about time to retire and maybe focus on retreats, biblical studies and even lessons in ethics. This man should be able to do so. Become the NRM Mbonye of sorts, the new preacher in town. The man with the connections to both the “high above” in Entebbe and the ones in the “Heavens”.
Simon knows this and whatever Simon says… well, it doesn’t matter. He should have acted more humble. However, that wasn’t his character and now his lost. Peace.
Proposed 27 new counties: Which incumbent MPs will be hit by this?
This is nothing new. This is so ordinary that it’s a hectic mess to be up to date with the amounts of sub-counties, counties and districts. In such a manner, that the Electoral Commission are holding By-Election to early in districts and such before they are legally binding. Because the state in the Republic is so preoccupied with making new ones.
It is now revealed that they will elevate certain areas for new counties. One of them is Kapir Sub-county in Ngora district, where there is 16 parishes and 47 villages. The MP getting touched by this is the incumbent Ngora County MP David Malaba (NRM).
Another one is Butiru County, which is elevating anther sub-county in Manafwa district. Where there is 5 parishes and 71 villages. The MP getting touched by this is the incumbent Rose Mutonyi (NRM) of Bubola West County to be re-elected.
Then you have Kioga County in Amolatar distict, which will be carved into two. Where it will have Kioga County and Kioga North County. It has 10 towns and 11 subdivision. The MP that getting touched by this is the incumbent MP Anthony Okello (NRM).
The newly minted district of 2019, Karenga district out of Kaabong district. Karenga district have 6 parishes and 50 villages. Where they plant to carve out Dodoth West County into Napore West County. This is carving out the district of Reverend Simon Lokodo (NRM). He must surely see the positives in doing this.
In Napak district in Bokora County, there is a plant to change Bokora County into Bokora East County. The MP that getting touched by this is the incumbent MP Terrence Nacho Achia (NRM).
In Ssembabula district in Mawangola county, there is plan to change that to Mawangola West County. The MP that getting touched by this is incumbent MP Joseph Ssekabiito (NRM). Mawangola is already carved into two northern counties, one in Mpigi and one Ssembabula. The third, the Mawangola South is in Mpigi district as well. So, the ones carving out the counties here. Has made a real hectic mess between the districts and counties.
In Otuke district and in Otuke County, there is plans to change the latter and create Otuke East County. Otuke have already 4 sub-counties, 23 parishes and 340 villages. The MP that is touched is incumbent MP Julius Acon Bua (NRM).
In Ntungamo district, it is a plan to carve up Ruhaama County into Ruhaama East County. Ruhaama County has 6 parishes and 48 villages. The incumbent MP Moses Kahima Mugabe (NRM).
In Isingiro district, there is a plan to carve out Isingiro county, however, there is a Isingiro County North and Isingiro County South, but no direct Isingiro County. Therefore, the legislators who is making these changes are surely missing a memo. Because, the changes to a Isingiro County West might hit the Southern or the Northern County. As there are no direct county here. This either hit home for MP Alex Bakunda Byarugaba (NRM) or Bright Kanyontore Rwamirama (NRM). Who knows where they meant with this one?
In Bukwo district in Kongasis County, there is a plan to make a T’oo County. Bukwo has 4 sub-counties, 14 parishes and 121 villages. The MP that is touched by this is the Incumbent MP Reuben Paul Chelimo (NRM).
In Kaberamaido district in Kaberamaido county, there is a plan to carve out Ochero County. Ochero sub-county has 3 parishes and 48 villages. The incumbent MP who will be hit by this is Veronica Eragu Bichetero Isala (NRM).
In Kween district and Kween county, there is a plan to carve out Soi County. Kween has 5 sub-counties, 19 parishes and 189 villages. The current MP, the incumbent here is Lawernce Cherop Mangusho (NRM).
In Namisindwa district (carved out of Manafwa district) in Bubulo County East plan to make Namisindwa county. This will hit home for MP Apollo Masika (NRM).
In Soroti district in Soroti County, there is a plan to make Gweri County. This change will hit incumbent MP Kenneth Esiangu Eitunganane (independent). Gweri Sub-county have already 4 parishes and 49 villages.
In Serere district in Kasilo county, they plan to make a Pingire county. This will hit incumbent MP Elijah Okupa (FDC). Pingire Sub-county have 6 parishes and 26 villages.
In Mbale district in Bunghoko County, they plan to make a Bunghoko Central County. In Bunghoko they have 4 parishes and 61 villages. I’m not sure if this will either Bunghoko County South or North, which means it will either make changes for incumbents Gershom Rabbi Wambede Sizomo (FDC) or Michael Kafabusa Werikhe (NRM).
In Yumbe district and Aringa county, they plan to make an Aringa East County. Aringa is already carved into South, North and County. So, to make an East would have make it 4 counties out of one. This will hit incumbent MP Noah Ashraf Olega (NRM).
In Kyegegwa district in Kyaka North County, they plan to make a Kyaka Central County. The MP who will be hit by this is MP Paul Nsabimana Asaba (NRM).
In Mitooma district in Ruhinda County, they plan to make a Ruhinda South County. This will hit incumbent MP Dononzio Kahonda Mugabe (MP). Is this the way to get loyalist Kahinda Otafiire a pass into the Parliament again?
In Bududa district in Manjiya County, they plan to make a Bushigai County. This will hit home for incumbent MP John Baptist Nambeshe (NRM). If this is a mix of two sub-counties, the Bukigai with 7 parishes and 71 villages, and in Bushika with 6 parishes and 53 villages. With that name, that is the one that makes sense here.
In Pallisa district in Agule County, they plan to make a Gogonyo County. Agule sub-county has 6 parishes and 35 villages. Gogonyo sub-county have 3 parishes and 39 villages. This will hit the incumbent MP Francis Mukula (Independent).
In Namutumba district in Busiki County, they plan to make a Busiki North County. This will hit the incumbent MP Paul Akamba (Independent).
In Tororo district in West Buduma County, they plan to make a West Buduma North East County. West Buduma is already carved into two pieces, into a South and North. So, who knows if this will hurt incumbent MPs Jacob Marksons Oboth (Independent) or Richard Okoth Othieno (NRM)? Because, I am not sure to, which they meant as there are two already, but none that was on the list in question.
In Apac district in Maruzi county, they plan to make a Maruzi North County. If they changes this, it will hit incumbent MP Patrick Maxwell Ebong Akora (UPC).
In Kaboong district and Dodoth East County, they plan to make a Dodoth North County. This hits incumbent MP Samson Lokoris (NRM).
In Rwampara district in Rwampara County, they plan to make a Rwampara East County. The districted carved out of Mbarara District. This will change things for incumbent MP Charles Ngabirano (NRM).
In Kikuube district in Buhaguzi County, they plan to make a Buhaguzi County East. This will have effects on the incumbent MP Daniel Mpamizo Muheirwe (NRM).
As we see there plenty of old timers, long time incumbents and names that has come up before. Some of these MPs have wanted to elevate counties into districts to ensure more representation of their areas. This here come now in full effect. I have just pushed a few needles and found this information today. I think it is telling and show a lot.
As this is yet another step of making people confused about their voting history and ensure more NRM MPs. It doesn’t seem to equate another way. This is gerrymandering to another level. What is even more confusing about it at times. Is that I cannot be sure, which county they mean and who is touched by this move. That says a lot. Peace.
On Bad Black: Rev. Lokodo will you work for free? No, I didn’t so.
Bad Black aka Shanitah Namuyimbwa have hit a nerve again. This time she has pushed the Minster of the State for Integrity and Ethics Reverend Simon Lokodo to comment on her reasoning for getting money for her work with a COVID-19 advert for the Ministry of Health.
What is really strange, Reverend Lokodo? Are you saying you want to work for free as well? As you are a public official and civil servant? Do you want to work without a salary, emoluments and other allowances for playing your part as a Minister and a Member of Parliament.
As a man of both state and faith? Don’t you think contract workers, working on commission for certain short-term projects and such? Is that what your saying to the likes of Bad Black who did a gig?
So, your gig work, your sudden showing up with nonsense comments. Should that be done for free too? We haven’t seen or heard from you in a year or two Mr. Minister. It is like dolphins and scarecrows are more common in Kampotholo, than seeing your face in a newspaper. You are so far into oblivion. We had forgotten you where there. In this regard, the milk cartoon person with a someone gone missing was soon issued to you.
I’m wonder if the Minister himself knows the Leadership Code Act of 1992 section 14(i)?
It states:
14. General conduct prejudicial to the interests of the State.
not—
(1) Without derogating from any other written law, a leader shall
“(j) do or direct to be done in abuse of his or her office any act prejudicial to the rights of any person or obtain an unfair advantage over his or her subordinates, including abuse of the rights of members of the opposite sex, through, among other acts, the use of coercion, threat or harassment” (Leadership Code Act, 1992).
Because the statement from the supposed honourable minister today was this:
“If she continues threatening the government, we shall lock her up for days as a punishment” (…) “We can appreciate her for a good job but she should not forcefully demand the money” (Lokodo, 17.06.2020).
I also want to remind the honourable Minister of the Employment Act of 1977 section 31:
“Nothing in this Act shall render illegal any agreement or contract with an employee for giving him or her, as a remuneration for his or her services, in addition to money wages, food, a dwelling place or such other allowances or privileges as may be customary in the trade or occupation concerned; except that—
only such allowances or privileges may be given under this section as are appropriate for the personal use and benefit of the employee and his or her family; and
the value attributable to the allowances or privileges shall not exceed the cost to the employer of providing them” (Employment Act, 1977).
This act itself states that other wages are allowed and that a person working should get remuneration for the work rendered. That is what Bad Black has done with her ad for the Ministry of Health. Because why else should she has said what she did and on that format at that given time?
She is usually doing something else. To be frank, she’s a whole other kind than the typical models or socialites doing. Everyone cannot sell air-time like Sheila Gashumba. Bad Black needs other revenue streams, but this time she had gotten promise a pay-off for her services to the Ministry of Health. Those should be rendered. It shouldn’t be that hard, but maybe they are not able to pop-it off?
Well, the Minister should know the laws. He should understand the plight of people not paid for their work. Bad Black is maybe not the ordinary citizens, but when she works she should get paid. That is what everyone expects when they put work in. No matter how small or how little. What matters is that you ticked in and did your job. That should the Reverend Lokodo know, but apparently that is to much for to know. So maybe he can live on a prayer and hope the blessings from the sky will save him? Peace.
A look into the battle of the MPs in the new districts in 2021
In September 2015, the 9th Parliament approved 23 new districts. I have looked through most of them. We can see whose are having new constituencies and new borderlines for ballots in the General Election of 2021. There are other districts also pushed, which are not mentioned. Because, the list would be insane. But it shows some people who are having another route to their incumbency than previously done.
This has been an issue in previous elections too. As the state has operated and changed district lines for years. This is a clever way to create new polls and statistics, also ensure there are no strongholds. As the districts and sub-counties become fluid. That is because there was 112 districts in the 2016 Elections, but by 2021 there will be 135 districts. As well as there was 1,403 sub-counties in 2016, while in 2021 there will be 2057 sub-counties. All of this has effects for the elections and the supervision of it. As there are new candidacies, there are new elected officials and ensuring the tallies are right with the right forms, ballots and counting according to the eligible to vote and whose registered to do so. Therefore, these sort of changes are brining a lot headache, not only to the representatives to date, but also for the ones following it.
Therefore, with this in mind. I made a similar list of interesting names, districts and whose MPs, who could have issues when the primary polls in 2020 and the initial polls in 2021. This will be interesting, as there was incumbent MPs and NRM MPs who came into trouble and lost in new districts last time. That is likely to happen again, as there are other parishes, towns and such where they have to get voters compared to last go-around.

I think this list is interesting, as it says something about whose has a new challenge. Who has new constituencies and where the might reside some lost hope. As there have been lacking funds to operate these districts. There been trouble to find financial stimulus to actually operate them. The NRM has made big changes with the districts, but haven’t considered the economic implications in doing so. Also the obligations of civil service, hospitals, health care centres and so-on. As well, as halls for the appointed leadership, the elected officials offices and so-on. Which is all on the back-burner and lack of funds too do.
Therefore, this list shows what is at stake and what the NRM does to ensure continued power in Parliament. As they assess these changes will give them popularity, as they are giving local government close look in the previously bigger districts. Even as they are all former sub-counties turned into a bigger and have more of a mandate as a district. Peace.
Opinion: State Minister Kiwanda indirectly saying, the Republic got Curvy Woman for Sale!
“In his efforts to upheave Uganda’s Tourism , Minister Kiwanda Suubi has launched Miss curvaceous Pageant where Ugandan Hot Ladies will unleash what their Mama gave them. Women with Body Curves will get into competition in the name of Boasting Tourism in Uganda” (87.7 Kampala FM, 06.02.2019).
When, the State Minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda, whose been busy appointing different Tourism Ambassadors over the last 6 months. Has now fresh ideas to spark interest and create more tourism to the Republic. However, it is a bit worrying, the initiative and the idea itself.
“We have naturally endowed nice looking women that are amazing to look at. Why don’t we use these people as a strategy to promote our tourism industry?” – Godfrey Kiwanda.
What this really shows is how the State Minister objectifies the woman, the ones of his preferences, as he has proven that with who he appoints as Ambassadors under his ministry. That Kiwanda likes woman is now public. That he enjoys their company and hires them. That is more than proven. The reason why he changes and appoints new ambassadors for various of reasons.
Whatever that strikes his mind, that the Miss Curvy Pageant would be a good idea? Who knows really, but he is already in a Republic with Miss Tourism Uganda and other pageants for international shows of similar kind. What he has created is after his preference and what he looks for in woman.
But what is even more striking is that he is proclaiming, that Curvy woman is a product to sell the Republic. That the woman is a perk and speciality of the Republic. He is indirectly saying their sexiness and beauty is something that will attract tourist. So, is the State Minister indirectly saying, he is looking for Sex-Tourism and the ones going to the Red-Light Districts to solicit woman?
Because, when you make a person, a individual as a product, they usually tend to deliver a service and get paid for it. In this instance, it is disgusting, if that is the idea or the ideal of the Minister. That he wants to use the beauty of woman to allure people, who comes there to get laid. That is how it seems to me. That is if he really claims the curvy ladies should be a promotion tool to gain interest in tourism.
Woman are not tourism attractions, they are not objects for sale. That should be so simple and not hard to understand. Whatever way Kiwanda is looking at it. If he thinks this is smart move, he is foolish and makes his Ministry looking like an open-air bazaar.
Ugandan woman, woman in general deserves better. They deserves to handled and talked about in whole another manner. They are more valuable, than being a promotional tool. They are not for sale. That should be so easy to see and say.
Kiwanda should know this, because he is really out of bounds here. He should apologize and scrap the idea. This is chauvinism and also paternalism at its worst. Kiwanda isn’t honouring the culture or celebrating woman, but he is trading them away for some foreign exchange. That isn’t romantic or even noble, that is demeaning and disgraceful.
Time to step up and take a bow, Mr. Kiwanda. Peace.
Opinion: Rev. Lokodo need to look into Kiwanda’s business – Off hiring and firing Tourism Ambassadors!
Reverend Simon Lokodo, whose the Minister of Ethics and Integrity soon has to challenge and look into Godfrey Kiwanda, the Minister of Tourism. Because, this man is really into ladies. In a way that no other Minister in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is, except for Godfrey Bukenya whose leaked online photos with younger ladies all the time.
However, this more about how Kiwanda uses his position, not only to promote Uganda, but also handpicks a set of woman to titled and honourable work, like Tourism Ambassador of the Republic. That is what he has been working on lately.
There is already a yearly Miss Tourism Pageant, but none of them there has been hired for post. Which should be a natural thing. However, the Minister having been doling the Tourism Ambassador around. He has been hiring and firing for the last six months.
First, it was Zari Hassan, the socialite was hired and went all around with the Minister to Photo-Ops, even got a famous picture with guards with AK-47s as she was posing. That was just natural for the one and only Tourism Ambassador.
Second, in the middle of January 2019, as Miss World Africa of 2018 Quinn Abenakyo kicked Zari Hassan to the curb and became the newly appointed Tourism Ambassador.
However, that wasn’t as long or with anything memorable done. It was like a short-fling, nothing serious. Just puppy-love for the Minister, who lost interest very quick after the appointment.
As of today, it has been announced, that the busy-body of a Minister. The man, who always has a beauty on payroll. Has changed his mind. The Miss World Africa wasn’t up for the gig of Tourism Ambassador after all.
Therefore, he had to appoint the NBS Television Katch Up Host Anita Fabiola aka Fabiola as the newly minted Tourism Ambassador.
There has been more changes in this position as in any given other institution in Uganda. You would think that this is the most prestigious, the most honourable and best paid. That this what to aim for, as if you want to be somebody. You got to have on your CV, that you were the Tourism Ambassador. That is just it.
I’m wondering, when is Shanita Namuyimba aka “Bad Black” appointed, maybe by March 2019? Or anyone else for that matter?
Seriously, the Minister is too busy appointing these people for this one position. Is that the only thing he does? Haven’t he a Tourism Board and Wildlife to ensure? Doesn’t the Minister have enough Museums and Heritage sites to take care of?
We all know that those tasks cannot be as fun for a man, as the opportunity to bask in the glory of beautiful woman. That must be the reason why he does this and that is why Rev. Lokodo has to look into his ethics. Because, he has now passed through three ambassadors and for unknown reasons fired two of them. Therefore, Simon, you got a task to handle.
For the rest of us. Lets continue to watch the show. Peace.
