RDC: L’Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC) – Communique Officiel du 6 Avril 2024 (06.04.2024)

“President Kagame, who is the Chairman of the RPF Inkotanyi party, was elected as a candidate in the presidential election. He received 99.1% of the votes. All voters were 1953, while those who voted for him were 1935” (Iwacu Times, 09.03.2024).
If the last election in 2017 is anything to go by. We can with assertive measures say that things will not change in Kigali. Neither are there any options for change or ability to do so. The public space, the civic space and the political sphere is locked. There is no avenue or places for people to usher in a different sort of leadership. Everything is encircling President Paul Kagame aka “Pilato”.
We know that he intends to reign supreme for life. There is no other choice or way out. A man who took the nation by force and he will not retire easily. This man will die of old age in office and a wary of any other consequences. There is too much at stake and he cannot loose out of any of it. He fought for this and now it’s all his.
In the election in July there will only be accepted “opposition” as the Democratic Green Party and their Presidential Candidate. We will see them and they will get “some” seats, but not be close to challenge the majority of the Parliament. That will be destined to the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) Inkotanyi Party and the ones who loyal to Kagame.
The ones that really challenge Kagame and is real opposition will face danger. They will be facing the law, destruction and totally silencing them. That being the candidate itself will be in legal jeopardy and possibly linger in jail. While the businesses and family members will also face trouble. Just like activists suddenly dies behind bars and cannot ever speak out. That’s how the state runs and we all should be aware.
Kagame will ruthlessly destroy the ones who are in his way. He don’t mind and neither does his loyal cadres around him. They are earning fortunes on his reign and don’t mind the cost of destroying other people’s lives to stay in office. That’s just how these things goes.
We should expect a 98% or 99% of the votes. RPF will have a total majority and the Greens will have ceremonial seats. Therefore, this is just a procedure to give Kagame and his party another 7 year term. That’s what is coming up and we can all see it.
Pilato won’t jeopardize his power and that’s common knowledge. He has already consolidated power and he certainly won’t let that go. Everyone is supposed to be praising him and being loyal to him. Therefore, why should he leave?
There is no incentive to leave. He got everything… and that he will never give up. Even if he steps over bodies and destroys his enemies completely. Peace.
