Ukraine: Zelensky’s plea for more weapons and stronger sanctions from the West

Well, not exactly participates… Tries to block everything constructive and use global architecture in order to spread lies and justify the evil it does. I’m sure the world sees it. I hope the world will draw conclusions. Otherwise there will be only one institution left in the world to guarantee the security of states. Namely – weapons” (Zelensky, 06.04.2022).

President Volodymyr Zelensky has come out with another speech in the midst of war. The 41st day of the Russian-Belorussian invasion of Ukraine. The war continues even after the retreats in Kyiv oblast. The Russians are still using their barbaric means in Donbass and elsewhere. The Ukrainian President has held this plea before and it is still so true.

We know the Czech Republic and Estonia have offered more weapons and military equipment. There is reports of support from the European Union and United States. Though they are careful with the types of military support and at what basis. Clearly, they are not considering what the arms and the possible support could do for Kyiv against Moscow. As Ukraine is on the front-line against furthering the war-machine of Russia.

Because it is hard to believe that Kremlin and Russia only wants Ukraine under their occupation. No, if history has learned us anything. The Russian leaders would like to re-invent the USSR and take other neighbour counties as well. Meaning the Ukrainians could only be the beginning. Thats’ why Zelensky’s statement today is also so power.

When the President speaks of sanctions and what is needed to stop the war-machine:

We are preparing a new package of powerful sanctions against Russia for everything it has done to our people. Now is a crucial moment, especially for Western leaders. And this is no longer about how our people will evaluate the new sanctions and what I will say about them. This is about how decisions on sanctions will be assessed in Western societies themselves. After what the world saw in Bucha, sanctions against Russia must be commensurate with the gravity of the occupiers’ war crimes. If after that Russian banks will still be able to function as usual… If after that the transit of goods to Russia will continue as usual… If after that the EU countries will pay for Russian energy resources as usual… Then the political fate of some leaders will develop not as usual. My advice to everyone: feel now that the moment is really crucial” (Zelensky, 06.04.2022).

We know that the gas and energy exports is feeding the Russian state. The Russians are getting lot of currency and profits from the sale of gas to Europe. The Europeans are indirectly paying and securing the funds of the Russian war-machine. The Europeans and the West might feel vindicated because of the previous packages of sanctions. However, these has not stopped or made enough effect to worry Kremlin. President Putin can get away it and use his extreme nationalism to further the campaign in Ukraine. Therefore, the sanctions has no value of today and after 41 days… they are only trying to stifle and stop, but they have not blocked the Russian from important sectors, which could have bankrupted the state much quicker.

He ends with a message to Russian soldiers:

We are aware that the occupiers outnumber us. That they have more equipment. We are aware of the attempts by Russian leaders to recruit new fools all over Russia among cadets of military schools, people with combat experience and conscripts to send them all to slaughter in another offensive. But we have no other choice – the fate of our land and our people is being decided. We know what we are fighting for. And we do everything to win” (Zelensky, 06.04.2022).

The Russian soldiers should be warned. The Ukrainian forces has proven this. As they have been able to stagnate and stop the Russian war-machine. That’s why the Russians had to change strategy. Because, the Ukrainian forces are able to outmanoeuvre them. This is why they have been able to fight and compete for so long. However, the Western government didn’t to further their support and give the army support to Ukraine. It is necessary so that Ukraine can continue to fight. Yes, the Western power and EU has given some, but they could give more. Especially, since they are not willing to help with the MIG-29 Jets or a “No-Fly-Zone”. They need to give better and more advanced equipment, which can counter the Russians. Just like the Turkish drones has helped the war-effort to hit Russian convoys towards Ukraine. Peace.

Ukraine: Civilian casualties as of 24:00 4 April 2022 (05.04.2022)

Ukraine: Russians call the Bucha massacre “fake and staged” as Medvedev supporters this narrative…

An aircraft picture taken from a computer game. A drone downed by a jar of pickles. ‘Dead heroes’ who surrendered to a Russian warship. A Mariupol maternity home. And now Bucha” (…) “it’s all fake news hatched by the cynical imagination of Ukrainian propaganda-makers” (…) “Numerous PR agencies and ‘troll factories’ sponsored by Western governments and their tame non-profits and NGOs get a lot of money for cooking it all up” (…) “enraged beasts from nationalist battalions and territorial defense forces are ready to casually kill their own civilians in a bid to dehumanize Russia and tarnish its image as much as possible” – Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev (05.04.2022).

It is really sick to say this… however… nobody should be shocked by this in 2022. The Russian forces has said they didn’t target civilians while sending missiles, artillery shots and bombing civilian targets. That is well known now and evident by how the Russian-Belorussian forces has acted since the invasion of Ukraine.

Medvedev is just showing what Kremlin and Moscow is willing to do. They are willing to be a barbaric occupying force in Kyiv oblast. Still, while they are leaving and the dead is left to rot on the streets. The Russian media and spokespeople are either saying it indirectly the victims fault or done by the Ukrainians themselves.

Why would Kyiv administration loot, rape and destroy their own territory? Why would the Ukrainian government kill the elderly, innocent civilians and torture them?

Why would anyone do that to their own to score points in international media?

That sound foolish and it is… it makes more sense for the invading forces to detain, torture and kill civilians to insight fear and go after the ones who is defiant against their rule. As the Ukrainians would resist the invading forces and it would be a means of retaliation against a hostile population. That was the case here and people clearly suffered under the reign of Russian forces in Kyiv oblast.

This is why it’s disgusting for Medvedev to say it’s staged and propaganda. Yes, there was news of the Snake Island and their demise early in the war. That has been refuted and the ones who was stationed on the island came back to Ukraine in a prisons exchange. Therefore, that is justified to question. However, the videos, the clips and what has come out of Bucha is different.

The same can be said about Irpin, Hostomel and Bucha. As well as other suburbs, towns and cities in Ukraine, which has been under control of Russian forces. The Russian army who is not forgiving and showing mercy. No, the Russians have bombed, destroyed and looted since entering Ukraine. They have raped, kidnapped, tortured and killed civilians as well. That will all be on record and for the International Criminal Court to decide what is war-crimes and not.

Medvedev and the like will defend Russia, but it doesn’t make it more true. That is their propaganda and lies to distort the picture of what is going down. So, that people will not accept or take it as facts. Because, who wants to detain, torture and kill their own for a publicity stunt? How sick are you?

That just shows what sort of narratives and where the Kremlin are these days. When the defenders of the war or “Special Operation” speaks like this. As the pictures, the brutality of the Russian forces is exposed to the world. Peace.

Ukraine: Statement by the UN Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator Osnat Lubrani, on behalf of the United Nations in Ukraine (04.04.2022)

We are all devastated by the images of people who have been killed and reports of horrifying violence against civilian men, women and children in Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel near Kyiv and in other parts of Ukraine where they are caught in the hostilities. We echo the call of the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, for an immediate ceasefire and an independent investigation leading to effective accountability.

These disturbing reports and videos clearly raise questions about grave violations of international human rights and humanitarian law. It is essential that all reports of violence against civilians are independently verified: the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine is trying to visit these locations without delay. Anyone who has been engaged in violence against civilians must be held to account under international human rights and humanitarian law. An independent investigation is critical to determine the extent of these crimes and to ensure that the perpetrators are held to account.

The protection of civilians is a bedrock of the commitments by all Member States of the United Nations to people around the world. And in times of war there are further commitments, agreed by the international community under the Geneva Conventions. We will continue to closely monitor and report on attacks on schools, hospitals, medical workers and other civilian infrastructure, on the use of heavy weapons in residential areas and on the denial of humanitarian access.

Ukrainians have been enduring the living hell of war for more than a month. Thousands of civilians have died and many more children, women, elderly and people with disabilities are trapped by constant shelling, mined roads, without food, water or safe exit from besieged cities. We call for humanitarian pauses, for civilians to safely leave and so that we and our humanitarian partners can bring them life-saving relief supplies.

We continue to call for a ceasefire and peace in Ukraine. We know that words alone cannot comfort the loss of loved ones or replace action. This deadly war needs to stop: that is the only way to end this pointless loss of life and suffering.

Ukraine: The War-Crimes of the Russian Forces inside Ukraine needs to be investigated

Every day, when our troops come in and deoccupy certain territories, you see what is happening. It’s very difficult to talk when you see what they’ve done here. Every day people are found there in barrels, in cellars, strangled, tortured. Therefore, we believe that if they have something to think with, they need to think faster” – President Volodymyr Zelensky on a working trip in Kyiv oblast (04.04.2022).

We will see and hear about Bucha, Irpin and Chernihiv. Places we don’t really knew about, cities and towns of Ukraine, which will be known, because what the Russian forces did in the occupation of them.

The war crimes that happened within Kyiv oblast needs to be addressed. The grand scale of extra judicial killings, killing civilians who isn’t active in war. The despicable acts of the Russian forces, the invading forces that detained, tortured, raped and killed civilians. In Bucha the reports of 300 civilians was only the beginning, as well as the Ukrainian authorities found a mass-grave there.

There is report of additional 300 civilians who was tortured and killed around Chernihiv. This shows that the Russian forces isn’t only doing this one place, but it is their modus operandi. It is a genocidal war. They are killing Ukrainians and destroying their territory before retreating.

We will know the full extent of the Bucha massacre and all the other acts as time goes. The investigations of what occurred is starting. The Ukrainian authorities are collecting the evidence and proof of the war-crimes. So, it can be sent to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and these sorts of crimes to be condemned.

However, condemnation isn’t enough… there is need for more direct support of the Ukrainian war effort. As these crimes and means of war will only be moved from one Ukrainian region to another. It will not change their ways or what they are doing.

These are war crimes and they will be recognized by the world as genocide. We are aware of thousands of people killed and tortured, with their limbs cut off. Raped women, murdered children. I believe this is genocide” (Zelensky, 04.04.2022).

The massacres of Ukraine needs to be the reason for the Western powers and the European Union (EU) to support Kyiv even more. NATO and EU needs to give what Zelensky has asked for. The depth of deprecation is apparently endless. The Russian forces can act as barbaric and be as evil as they pleases. There is no stop or no rules they cannot break. That is why this shows what sort of reign the Moscow is offering Ukraine.

Russia and Kremlin is clearly not trying to win hearts. They are there to enforce and make it “Russian” with total brutality. We can only hope the dead can haunt the Russians and bring them trouble for the rest of their lives. As they will not only answer for them in the after-life, but hopefully get into legal trouble in the future. The ones who participated and was part of the war-crimes. Should all answer for it and be marked for life. They shouldn’t be able to get away or run away from the crimes committed.

The Russian invading forces is clearly not coming in peace or coming to bring a prosperous future. No, they are coming with venom and death. Peace.

Hungary: Orbán won again…

We never had so many opponents. Brussels bureaucrats… the international mainstream media, and even the Ukrainian president. Huge international centers of power were mobilized against us. To them, we say that every penny was wasted. The Hungarian left was the worst investment of Uncle Gyuri’s life. For 12 years they’ve just taken his money for nothing” – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán (03.04.2022).

In Budapest the citizens and the majority of the people wanted Fidesz for another term. This will be Prime Minister Orbán’s fourth term. Where he is distancing himself from the European Union and clearly shows his allegiance to Kremlin. After all the things that was said during the campaigns.

The Prime Minister even mentioned Ukrainian President Zelensky as an enemy. That really says a lot and shows his sentiment. This shows that the PM and Fidesz cannot understand how someone trying to influence and ensure their own sovereignty in war. However, we know that Orbán and his party has targeted the Ukrainian. While defending their support of trading with Russia. Therefore, the ill-will of sanctions has been naturally addressed by Zelensky. Nevertheless, for Viktor it’s more important to get credit and be in favours with Vladimir. That is very obvious by now.

He said also these words in his victory speech:

We have won a great victory – a victory so great that you can see it from the moon, certainly from Brussels” (…) “The greater the victory, the greater the need for modesty, and let’s face it tonight, there’s reason to be modest” (…) “We won in 2010 under the old electoral system, we won in 2014 when we were called one by one. We won in 2018 when there was a partial coalition and in 2022 when everyone joined forces against us, God only knows how we can win the most at a time when they are ganging up on us” (Orbán, 03.04.2022).

It is like Orbán thinks his leadership is such a great idea. That how he runs things is the best ever. His type of government isn’t opening up or giving air-time to the opposition. If he had as little air-time as the opposition. The opposition would maybe campaign differently, but there isn’t a level playing-field. While whole speeches and rallies been broadcasted in Hungary. The main opposition coalition only got 5 minutes clip. Therefore, it is within reason why Orbán is successful and has easy access to media of Hungary. When you have that… you can easily win and conquer the others.

The strength of Fidesz comes after years of control. As they have cemented themselves in Budapest. They are the strong party and people are loyal to the party. The public believe the talking-points and that’s why they continue to vote for Fidesz. That is very clear after the 4th term of Orbán.

We could have hoped the public saw it differently in Hungary. As the leadership has used the war for political gains and not supported the independent nation of Ukraine. Therefore, the Fidesz will not change now. They are obviously aiming for bringing Russian hegemony and being a staunch supporter of their causes. While they are trying to frame it as a defence of the values and integrity of Hungary. Everyone know that they rather be like this… and not be closer to European allies. That is very clear and this can stifle and be a hurdle in the European Commission, as well as in the European Parliament. Nevertheless, don’t expect anything good from Budapest in the near future.

It will be more of the same. He will use simple cheap tricks and populism to continue his reign. While he will always distance himself from the rest of Europe. Because, Orbán needs Putin now. He will not even flinch or speak in codes. No, he will say it straight… their relations is beneficial and it’s evident. Peace.

Ukraine: The brutal retreat of Russian forces in-and-around Kyiv

When the banner is unfurled, all reason is in the trumpet” – Ukrainian Proverb

We are now on the 38th Day of the Russian-Belorussian invasion of Ukraine. The atrocities are just so staggering. The ones calling for genocide is right on. That is tragic as the invading forces have been acting in the most brutal ways.

The Bucha massacre isn’t only the mass-grave outside with over 300 bodies. It is the total annihilation and destruction of the Kyiv oblast, as the towns and suburbs of Kyiv has been left depleted. They have looted, raped and killed civilians. While they have also kidnapped and arrested the ones who was elected officials and representatives of the Ukrainian state. Therefore, they tried to erase the Ukrainian statehood. That was a deliberate act.

Just as the video clip of what has occurred in the city of Bucha is shocking. The bodies are laying in the streets and beside their vehicles. They are just on the road-side and everywhere the soldiers was passing. These people where tied with their hands on their back and shot to die.

The same sort of reports comes from other cities where the Russians has retreated. This being in Irpin and Chernihiv as well. What is been shown to the world is mass killings and systematic annihilation of Ukraine. These wasn’t military targets or killed in action (KIA). This was citizens and civilians who was killed by them without any justification.

The acts of the Russian forces in the North-West of Kyiv shows what sinister atrocities was done. That cannot be dismissed or put under the rug. We know the Russian media and spokespersons will downplay it or say it didn’t happen. That this is manufactured and not true. However, the pictures and videos shows what they did as they retreated.

They also made a temporary headquarters in Bucha, which had a room where they did torture people and another where they shot them. The Russian forces really did war-crimes here and did it deliberately. There is no other way of stating it.

What happened in Bucha, Irpin or anywhere shouldn’t just be investigated. It needs to be addressed and challenge the Kremlin with it. As this is crimes against humanity and mass killings, which will be recorded for history. This shows how the Russians acts against the Ukrainian brothers. That is how the Russian army values life.

We know the Russian forces that have been retreated to Belarus has created an own market where they sell looted goods and stolen items for profits. Therefore, they can steal all kinds of stuff and sell it. If not it is also reported that the Russian soldiers has sent the stolen goods by mail to their homes within Russia. Therefore, there is nothing that cannot be touched or taken by them.

The pictures of Bucha proves it…. and they will be permanently imprinted in my skull, as a remembrance of what the Russian are capable of doing and does.

Ukraine is burning, looted and destroyed at will… because Russia has no heart and comes with a vengeance. Peace.

Ukraine: Reports of a possible new front from Moldova/Transnistria ….

Today on the 37th Day of the Russian-Belorussian invasion of Ukraine. While the Russian forces has retreated from certain fronts, but still used artillery and missiles there. The air-strikes will continue there. As the Russian are possibly strengthen other fronts and especially in the ones in Donbass regions.

If the Russian forces, which already is based within Transnistria was to be active and ordered to the fronts. It would mean that they would possibly be helping the battles to Occupy Odessa and port there. Which would be a huge blow for Ukraine and a loss of one vital port. That cannot be understated….

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated earlier today this:

On April 1 this year, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation decided to hold a military meeting with reservists from April 04 to May 23, 2022. At the same time, work to engage Russian troops units based in the territory of the Pridnistrovsk region of the Republic of Moldova has been activated to conduct provocations and demonstration actions on the border with Ukraine. The redeployment of Russian troops and units of the so-called Pridnistrovsk-Moldovan Republic was marked in order to prepare for a demonstration of readiness for the advance and possibly combat against Ukraine” (General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 02.04.2022).

Hours later, the Transnistrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed it like this:

All military units on the territory of the Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic are in the places of permanent deployment and carry out their activities in a standard working mode. At the same time they purposefully minimized even their planned activities in order to preserve the tranquillity of our Ukrainian neighbours” (…) “The leadership of the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic has repeatedly officially stated that there is no threat to Ukraine. This principled position of the state is unchanged” (Transnistrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 02.04.2022).

What we should do until it is verified by several sources. We should question it. However, in this state and how the Russians are operating. They are already using Belarus territory and have recruited conscripts from there. Therefore, the use of another territory and ability to it’s advantage would be natural.

Transnistria could be a useful means of attacking Odessa and the Odessa Oblast. The Russian Supported Separatist state could become a strategic component in that. Until proven and seen troops movement from Moldova/Transnistria to Odessa we cannot say for certain. The Russian would dismiss it or say it wasn’t so. That is what they have done all year anyway.

We know the Russian just said the troops moved around the Ukrainian borders earlier in the year was for military practice and the same did they say about the movement into Belarus. This is why we know there could be something legit about this too. Because, the Russians and their allies won’t spell it out, but suddenly use the advantage for their war within Ukraine. No one should be shocked by this… because that is just how things has been moving this time around. Peace.

Ukraine: President Zelensky’s inspirational speech – “We will equally want to win, but there will be battles ahead”

The 36th day of our nationwide defense after eight years of war in Donbas is coming to an end. It’s hard to believe that, but March has already passed. Absolutely imperceptible! The passage of time is somehow not even noticed. Every day and every night has become virtually the same for us. The same day, the same night. And with one task for all – to protect ourselves, save people, rebuff invaders. Drive them out. All this March and five days of February, the invaders have been trying to break in and gain a foothold in our house from different directions – from land, from the sky, from the sea. They go, fly, swim… There is so much evil in them, so much thirst for destruction that it reminds not of people, but of something otherworldly. Some monsters that burn and loot, attack and try to kill. Some hellish chimeras” – President Volodymyr Zelensky (01.04.2022).

The speech today to the Republic of Ukraine is showing the resilience and will of the Ukrainian people. They have fought for 36 days against a power, which no one expected them to handle. The Russian-Belorussian war-machine was supposed to destroy, deplete and run into Kyiv within no time. Something the President further states himself. That shows how the Ukrainian Forces has fought and been able to defend their nation. They should be proud of what they have achieved and continues to achieve.

The President continues…

But when you are on your land, everything helps you. The land itself, rivers, every person. Everyone, even the one you didn’t expect from before. We endured much more than the enemy expected. They said – three or five days. They thought that this would be enough for them to seize our entire state. And it’s already 36. And we are standing. And we will continue to fight. Until the end” (Zelensky. 01.04.2022).

The proof of what they have done and continues to do is really inspirational. That the Ukrainian forces has held the Russian forces at bay. It is all the reasons for the President to speak well of his armies and his people. Who has fought and continues to fight for their justified cause. They are fighting a battle with no remorse and no mercy, which is all up to the invader and their allies.

Zelensky address the recent progress:

To the north of Kyiv, in the Chernihiv direction, in the Sumy region, the expulsion of the occupiers continues. They themselves are aware that they can no longer withstand the intensity of hostilities they could have maintained in the first half of March. But we must also realize that for the Russian military, this is part of their tactics. All this is not occasional. We know their plans. We know what they are planning and what they are doing. We know that they are moving away from the areas where we are beating them to focus on others that are very important. On those where it can be difficult for us. That is why it is very important for everyone to show restraint. Restraint in emotions. Restraint in worries. We all equally want to win. Equally! But there will be battles ahead. We still have a very difficult path to cover to get everything we strive for” (Zelensky, 01.04.2022).

That the Russian forces are re-grouping and re-strategising to ensure better results. This is clear and the Donbas should in the up-coming days see more Russian forces and brigades. As they are wanting to take the whole regions under Russian occupation. This is why they are leaving other regions. It isn’t to stop the war, but finding new ways of gaining territory in Ukraine. However, the President is clear that they know this and isn’t taking the other victories as a done deal. There is still battles ahead.

Let Moscow not forget that the sanctions policy will only be continued and intensified. As long as there is no peace – sanctions are needed. Until Russia begins to invest as sincerely in the search for peace as it invests in the destruction of our state, sanctions will remain unalterable” (Zelensky, 01.04.2022).

Here Zelensky is speaking of sanctions and plans of furthering them. Thais means the Russian economy and Russian finances will be harder hit. We know that Kremlin will spin this and use this a means of war. Alas, this is the West answering and targeting Russia, because they are having an illegal war in Ukraine. That’s why it’s fair the economy and the finances of Russia is hit. The war-machine doesn’t need financing.. and Zelensky is right in saying that sanctions is needed. The West and such needs to intensified and even stronger. Since, the war isn’t stopping. Hopefully, they will make SWIFT totally banned and not having loopholes like now.

The President ends with this:

No matter what, we all have to think about the future. About what Ukraine will be like after this war. How we will live. Because this is a war for our future. This is a war for our lives, in which we have only one way – to gain peace for Ukraine. To gain Ukraine’s security” (Zelensky, 01.04.2022).

It is so true, the fight for independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Ukraine is at stake. The liberty and democracy, which the Ukrainians has fought over. The sort that they have had revolutions and acted in accordance with the majority of the people of the Republic. Not have a imposed and puppet regime installed by Kremlin. That is what Putin wants and his associates. This is very clear by the manner of which this war was started and the rhetoric of Kremlin.

It has only been 36 days and the “Special Operation” have clearly not been achieved or gotten finished as it was intended. Even if the Russian Ministry of Defence claims that first phase is over. Alas, they have to make the utter failure and lacking results on the battlefield looking good at home.

Zelensky is right and the end is far ahead. The Russians aren’t given up or stopping. They are just changing strategy. That is why the Ukrainian forces has to re-engage and move troops to address that. This war is far from over, but the Ukrainians will fight to the bitter end. That is very clear and they will not surrender easily. Therefore…

Like Zelensky said earlier in the speech:And we will continue to fight. Until the end” (Zelensky, 01.04.2022). Peace.
