Mzee asks after 12,002 days: “Be Patient With Me”(!!)

Don’t worry about anything. We shall tarmac the roads. You should also repent the sin of little faith. You are like disciples who became impatient with Jesus when they were crossing the lake. We have constructed Ishaka-Kagamba and many other roads. We shall not fail to work on this one. Be patient with me” (…) “Talk about education. In 1956, there were only six schools with primary seven in the whole of Ankole sub region but now, all sub counties in Sheema have secondary schools. Let’s be patient, all things will come” – Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (Zadock Amanyisa – ‘‘Be patient with me,’ Museveni tells Ugandans’ 06.12.2018, link: https://www.monitor.co.ug/News/National/-Be-patient-with-me—Museveni-tells-Ugandans/688334-4884084-4swpft/index.html).

There is something special about Mzee or Bosco, something rare, but not endearing. His a man who has run the Republic since 1986. The man behind the Movement and the one who has mirrored himself with the whole state and government itself.

President Yoweri have centralized all power around himself and has militarized the whole thing. That is why every moment he has, he praises the army and soldiers, but hates the civil servants. This is his M.O., this is what the President does best.

Now, with this mind, he is asking for patience, that the Ankole has to give the President time. Not like they haven’t given him any. Not like this after his first 100 days in office, not like it was first term in office either. His on his 7th Unofficial Term as a President, Officially 6th term… So he has had 32 years and soon 33 years. Therefore, the man has had the time to deliver, but has squandered it with foolishness and greed.

We all know that, because of the HISTORY that MUSEVENI has created. If he wanted to deliver, he would have, if he would had cared it would have happen. But apparently he has preferred special treatment and cronyism. Not development, not serve the public or even follow any of the fancy plans for the Republic.

Mzee, the time has ticked, the clock isn’t working. Museveni is not working like clockwork. As a President he should not ask for patience now. That gravy-train … has left the station, a long time ago.

When you have been the Executive, the President and the Almighty Ruler for over 30 YEARS. Should have achieved what was needed already, you should have had sufficient time to deliver and serve the public. Alas, that isn’t the case.

Asking for patience, asking for more time? How much more do you need?

You have had all the days since 26th January 1986, which by my calculation is 12,002 days since you took power or over 394 months, also as a total of 1714 weeks. If these numbers doesn’t say you had the time. How much more do you need?

12,002 days, 394 months or 1714 weeks(!!). President Museveni you have had the time, to ask for more is an insult. Not only to our common intelligence, but time itself. Your insulting everyone’s watches, when your asking for more time. Peace.

Besigye’s Criminal Record: Who will follow suit?

Arrested 1,023 times.

Incarcerated 217 times.

Indicted of 894 offenses.

Never convicted of any

Seemingly abandoned at the last minute.

The futility of trying to serve Ugandans.

(Chris Mwesigye Bishaka, 04.12.2018).

There is a cost fighting dictatorship, there is cost fighting a tyrant and military government, that is something someone like Dr. Kizza Besigye knows. He doesn’t just know, but he has meet the force, been house-arrested, been detained, been indicted and charged. Besigye have meet everything, seen any prison-cell and been in any kind of trial. Therefore, nothing is new to Besigye, he has been there and tried. He has taken the pain, the cost and torture, he has been mentally challenged and physical by the authorities. However, that haven’t stopped his attitude and will to continue the struggle.

This is a man who has battled the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ever since he left the party, ever since the cabinet and the government position. As one of them who rebelled against the Resistance Party. He rebelled against the NRM and President, who he considered to forget his place and his mission, as it became self-serving and self-interest, not being a government by and for the people.

That is why he has to pay the price of being arrested over a 1000 times, incarcerated 217 times and indicted for 814 offenses. If this isn’t seen as a massive number, than nothing is. What is more striking is that Besigye have achieved this by leaving the NRM by 1999.

That is only 19 years to be in legal trouble. By this rate he has been arrested 53 times each year. Incarcerated 11 times each year and indicted 47 times each year. If you don’t find this stats staggering. I don’t know what will.

What is more special, is that he isn’t a criminal or felon of petty crimes. He isn’t a pickpocket or a terrorist. Even if he has numbers that would seem so. He is just the arch-nemesis of the President. The man who has gotten into trouble, by being the total opposite of the President. That is why he has landed in so much legal trouble and the state has used all tools to suppress his voice and work. Therefore, expect more to come.

This is a proof of what extent the NRM regime and state does to one person. How much of the freedom, liberty and lack of justice there is.

Besigye is the proof of that. Just look at the numbers alone. They have been created by a margin of 19 years. That is surely some amazing stats. But also sad too, as this is one mans life and his cause. To rebel not only against a dictatorship, but also being a political operative in the midst of tyranny. Where people are even mocking for being detained and house-arrested, because it is so common.

They should understand it and swallow the idea. See the amount and wonder if this could happen to them. Sadly it could, but would they dare to stand beside Besigye in the fight? Would they? Or are they leaving him be in the fight against oppression?

Seemingly, the People Power are working for the same, hopefully Besigye and Bobi Wine can work together, dismantling this oppressive regime. Because all forces of hope needs to work together to reach the destination. But will they and are they ready for the cost?

Besigye has already paid the dividend for years, are other people ready to follow suit? Peace.

FYI: The Bobi Wine and Arua 33 Treason Case will continue indefinitely!

Since 15th August 2018 Arua By-Election there been in the works a Treason Charge against the Members of Parliament who participated in the campaign there. This has been the reality since the By-Election, where plenty of the MPs was held incommunicado and were tortured by the authorities. That is why today, the proof of how long the prolonged the case has been already.

We are now in the beginning of December. Today is the 3rd December 2018 and the Gulu Magistrate Court ajourned until 10th January 2018. This one started already after being put on bail on the 27th August 2018, that was nearly 13 days without proper justice or rule of law. As the MPs and the other connected to the campaign was in legal limbo. Therefore, today is another day of disgrace from the state.

That Robert Kyagulanyi Aka Bobi Wine, Gerald Karuhanga, Paul Mwiru, Kassiano Wadri and Francis Zaake are the MPs who are in trouble together with the other Arua 33, who deserves to be credited. As they are connected and linked into the Treason Charge case and possible violence against the Presidential Convoy. However, there are no case against the ones killing the driver of Bobi Wine, Yasin Kawuma. Who had deserved justice, as he was shot directly in the car of Bobi Wine. As the MPs and others was captured by the Presidential Guards or Military Officers in Arua.

Therefore, today is mockery of justice, as we know the story has changed by the President. The Arua Stone and all the supposed violence. Where the ones most hurt and obviously hit was the opposition. The same opposition who are lingering in court long after the By-Election. This is a sign of how the state takes care of its own and who has value. As the state didn’t take the loss of the Yellow MP Seat in Arua Muncipality, where Hon. Ibrahim Abiriga was from and he was assassinated on the 8th June 2018. Therefore, if it wasn’t for an unfortunate death, there wouldn’t be more hurt. The spiral of death didn’t stop. After that it has been torture and people have been damaged. Just because they stood up to the authorities. That is the truth.

With all this in mind, that the Police say they need more time to collect evidence is for stalling time. If this was true, then they wouldn’t have thrown away the gun-charges and the ammunition they “found” in the Hotel and put on Bobi Wine. Because everyone knew they were put there by the army, as it was monopolized arms and guns of the UPDF. That is why that one was taken away. The rest is only political game with the misuse of the courts to benefit the government. As a time shedding environment and ensuring it is harder for the opposition to do their political work.

This is far from the final time these people are summoned and has trials at the Gulu Magistrate Court. They will be called back, not only in January but all through out 2019. It might be pushed into 2020 or even 2021. Because the NRM and President Museveni usually gifts the long-lasting cases to Opposition leaders.

So, expect that in the case of Bobi Wine and Arua 33. They are all going to be in a treadmill of legal jeopardy. Peace.

Bobi Wine Blocked Again: Kyarenga Extra Concert in Gulu stopped!

Today, again the Uganda Police Force has blocked another Concert, which the Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine from doing on the 2nd December 2018 in Gulu. This is not the first time he has been blocked. It is very common for the Police to block the opposition and their leaders.

This is just a long run of impunity… it is tradition and not surprised, especially considering the Trial Date for the Treason Charge and the Election Violence case on the 3rd December 2018 at the Gulu Magistrate Court tomorrow. Even if that wouldn’t happen, the Police would block it as it is troubling to see a figure of the stature of Bobi Wine come to town. They surely used the Public Order Management Act and to secure the public, but this was within one venue that was notified in the 4th November 2018 and suddenly closed off. The day that the concert was supposed to happen.

Bobi Wine’s statement:

So yet again, our concert in Gulu has been blocked by the police! We wrote to them three weeks ago informing them of the show and requested them for security. We compiled with all the laws and invested a lot of resources preparing for the show. Today, the police showed up at the venue cutting all banners and other advertising material without giving any explanation. Police patrol vehicles have been moving around Gulu town, removing all the banners and posters! The promoters have been trying to call all responsible officers, and all they say is that they have ‘orders from above’ not to let me perform. Dear brothers and sisters in Gulu, I was looking forward to having a good time with you tonight. Very soon it will be possible. I know that God willing, one day, we shall free ourselves from this mess and be able to enjoy ourselves in the new Uganda. In the meantime, we shall stop at nothing in challenging this kind of injustice and gross violation of rights. We shall communicate to the nation about our next step. Tomorrow we shall be at Gulu High Court at 9:00am, concerning the tramped up charges from the Arua incident” (Bobi Wine, 02.12.2018).

This side of story is sadly to common. If your someone who the authorities and the government sees as a threat. You will be under fire, struggle to do your business and operate as a political party or entity. The ones who are the opposition will be in trouble. As shown with plenty within the Democratic Party, Forum for Democratic Change and Independents. Right now, Bobi Wine is an arch-nemesis on the line of Dr. Kizza Besigye. The only thing missing right now is that Bobi Wine are getting house-arrested like him.

We are seeing, what we have seen before. This is currently the attitude of the police and the NRM regime. Who are attacking their rights to assemble and even stopping their livelihood. When concerning Bobi Wine, it is stopping his musical career and his concerts. He was able to pull of the album launch. Only when he fixed it on his own plot on One Love Beach. Before that, the authorities was blocking him and made change dates.

For Bobi Wine he is starting to feel it and that is showing what troubles that is ahead. They will not make it easy for him. The authorities will clearly make life hard for him. Bobi Wine are now one of the targets of the state. His People Power message is scaring the government and the President. It hits a nerve at a tired public of the 32 years and counting. They are not the automatically loyal subjects of the President or his Movement. Even if that is what the President wishes. Peace.

The letter notifying the authorities:

Police extend Hon Zaake’s summons to December 3, 2018 (21.11.2018)

Betty Nambooze Bakireke Statement on the House-Arrest of Nganda Ssemujju today (16.11.2018)

We are permanently under a twenty four surveillance by the regime…our homes are under watch day and night…We travel around the town with armed Bodabodas following us…Government spies followed me to hospital in India…those who follow us don’t do it for our security…. we are watched as enemies of the State….. in other words we are full time prisoners in this big brother’s house called Uganda.

So yesterday when I and Lord Mayor Lukwago visited Honourable Ssemujju for a colleagues meeting, the junta’s hitmen where watching….to them we can never meet to talk about anything else apart from plotting to overthrow their regime. So the fact that Hon.Ssemujju had a consultative meeting today and I and Lukwago were meeting him in the evening a day before was enough for them to tell that today we were to “overthrow the regime” through the Bweyogerere public meeting.

Deep in the night they intesfied surveillance on our homes …my guard told me that last night patrol vans kept a culculated distance from my home…In the night they deployed around Hon Ssemujju’s home breaking into the compound this morning, highly traumatizing his children and innocent wife. We are tired of living this life…I say we are tired, yes we are tired.

UPF: Hon. Francis Zaake MP Summoned to the CID on the 21st November (16.11.2018)

Today wasn’t the day to plant a Freedom Tree in Kira Muncipality: As the Police Blocks the Semujju Rally in town!

There are just one of these days, when the ones ordering the Uganda Police Force and the Uganda People’s Defence Force realize how foolish most of it is. Because this is clearly a step to far again. When they have house-arrested Ibrahim Nganda Ssemujju MP and fellow MPs in his home in Kira Muncipality. The Police are saying they are closing it off and blocking the rally today because of technical breach and lack of forewarning. However, we all know the gist and the attitude towards Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and the other People Power MPs in the Republic. This sort of affair that was about to transpire today, had to be shut-down. Because, this is what the President fears the most. The symbolic affair and the lack attendance of him. Museveni is supposed to be the king of peace, but is now again showing his efforts to stifle others and their voices.

“This morning woke up with a very good vibe, with plans to visit and address our people in Kira Municipality with comrade Hon. Ibrahim Semujju Nganda and fellow other Members of Parliament. We also had plans to plant a freedom tree at the home of Hon. Semujju. Police and the military have surrounded his house and dispersed the people they found at his home. As we speak his house is still surrounded. Impunity at its peak. Fear at its height. Whatever they do, nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.” (Bobi Wine – 16.11.2018).

We can clearly see the message, as the Kira Town residents has on tape also said the Police Officers was beating on them yesterday. A day ahead of the scheduled rally, that is now blocked today. The authorities are really going all in, when they act like this. While from this morning blocking the MP and his house. Sending people away wearing red and blue. The colours of People Power and the Forum for Democratic Change. The latter, which is the party of the unfortunate MP.

“The Kireka rally follows a number of rallies organized by MPs that voted NO against the lifting of Presidential Age Limit. MPs had decided to organize rallies in show of support of these MPs across the country” (Forum for Democratic Change, 16.11.2018).

This rally is now a no go. The voices against the life Presidency is now forbidden and the stature of the limited freedom is sealed. That has been common knowledge for plenty, but now proven again to those who thought otherwise. Because the authorities has to prove their power.

This endless battle doesn’t seem stop. Peace.

Mzee’s answer to everything: Bring out the Guns!

There is something magical, something so magnificent and unique. That every time there is a problem, the BIG GUNS have to show up. The President, the Almighty, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has to address the problem with hiring, appointing or ordering the military to intervene. They even have a commercial arm to assemble cellphones in the near future.

The army is already involved in the NAADS and SACCOs as well as other Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) projects. They have been involved in arresting people and disrupting rallies, not to talk about pure election violence. The army has been involved in invading the Plenary Chambers of the Parliament. There is nowhere the army and these branches of it isn’t touching.

If there is a problem. The President orders the Special Forces Command to monitor riots in Kampala. The President orders to combat army-worms and pipeline problems together with the KCCA. This is just mere simple example of the usage of the army.

The President when the Members of Parliament asked for more security, he ordered sharpshooters and specialized cars for the MPs to security their movements and travels. It was later turned down, but the way of the President to resolve the matter, was by getting the soldiers on stand-by and secure the VIPs.

This is how the President moves, now that Chinese Investors are afraid. The President has ordered soldiers to facilitate and secure the Chinese investments and investors themselves. The answer isn’t looking into the ruthless and insecurity. Instead, put out more guns in the field. Thinking they will solve the issue.

This is the militarism of the President. Where he sends the para-military Police Squads against oppositions. Where he had the Flying Squad, the Special Force Command, Crime Preventers, the Internal Security Organization (ISO) and the Chieftain of Military Intelligence (CMI) or even foot soldiers on the streets. Just to prove to the people, that he is boss!

That is just a sign of the lack of progress, the lack of development. When every crisis, when every need and whim of the President. The ones he is calling is the military and the soldiers, not trying to figure out the needed remedy. That gravy-train has left.

It is time to ask the President is if he has other advice and other solutions, because calling the soldiers to fix defects in society isn’t their role. Their role is to guard the borders and secure the Republic, not being the waiters and dancers at the party. That is how they are playing today. I am just awaiting seeing pictures of soldiers dropping off Waragin and Beer to VIPs. Because that is the only thing they isn’t doing. Since it isn’t long ago, when they even was in charge of a Beauty Pageant. Peace.
