Opinion: Do you want to drive Tax-Free on the Toll-Road? Dip through as part of the Presidential Convoy!

“The House has passed a clause in the Road Bill, 2018 that provides for paying of road tolls. The clause provides exemption to presidential convoy, emergency vehicles like ambulances, fire engines and military, police and other security vehicles on emergency duty” (Parliament of Uganda, 14.05.2019).

Well, if you find it expensive or outrages the new toll-roads built by the government. Where the public have to pay down debts as toll to pass. Then, you have one way to get rid of that problem; this is all thanks to the gentleman and nobles at the Parliament. Yesterday, they put a clause, an exemption for the Presidential Convoy. So that the convoy doesn’t need to pay to pass on these roads.

This is opening new possibilities. So, if your driving on the Entebbe Expressway. If you have the time. Just wait until the President and his people is riding pass. So, that you can join the convoy, because who knows whose part of it or not. Especially, if you have a tinted SUV or a White/Black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. You are set for life on this place. You might never have to pay again. Because your naturally part of the Presidential Convoy. Its all magic baby.

That is the gift of the Republic, where his majesty, His Excellency, the Fountain of Honour is blessing his peasants and servants, as they should oblige and follow suit. This meaning, every time they pass by the Convoy. They should dip through traffic and pass into it. Because, no one really knows whose a part of it or not. Except for the snipers, the luggage-cars and whatnot the President needs at all time. Also, a few of his advisors, as he has over a 100 of them to pick off at any moment of time.

That is why, the new way of driving cheaper is to tax into the convoy and drive through the tolls, as that is the way of exemption. Be a leech and a smart pawn. A person who is ruthless and has the ability to blend into the long line of cars, which is all supported by several of police cars, mambas, Special Force Command and an unlucky cousin. So, in that mix, a fellow random gentleman should pass by too. In such a manner, that he also escapes the added tax on the toll roads. That is just fair game. Peace.

Opinion: Jeje Odongo and the NRM is afraid of Defiance!

Not that this is news, but last go-around in the General Election of 2016. The Authorities sealed off all activities of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and even barred it from entering its own headquarters. They even took a lot of printed materials and arrested several. Even put the defiant leader Dr. Kizza Besigye behind house-arrest for God-Knows how long without charges, warrants or a proper Court Order. This was all because of DEFIANCE.

Now, as the People’s Government and People Power Movement have joined forces to dismantle the regime. They are hurrified and need remedy. That is why the Minister of Internal Affairs Jeje Odongo have summoned all leaders of Security Organizations like ISO, UPF, UPDF, Veteran Affairs, Prisons and Attorney General to a meeting of the National Security Council discussing the matter of DEFIANCE.

This is very ironic that the NSC has to discuss this, seemingly they all are part of the Resistance or the Resistance Movement. It is such a special narrative, that keeps on giving. That the NRM are struggling to cope with the public or even especially the opposition openly being in defiance of them. They want to delegitimize the state and its activities, also block and boycott. That is what being defiant means. Certainly, this is hitting the strain, that the People Power and People’s Government have decided that this is the way. Not that its easy, but surely the State trying figure it out now.

This is a real spark and proving how powerful the acts are, especially if they are joined by all walks of life. If the public really riot, demonstrate and not caring about the tear-gas, road-blocks and the danger it causes, by assaulting the privilege and the armed regime. Because, by standing up it, it will cost, a lot and many will spend time behind bars. Even sadly loss of life, because the authorities of these regimes uses bullets to intimidate and make a point. The ones on the frontline will be touched, whether they like it or not.

So, if this DEFIANCE is real, it has to be materialized, into a collective effort. A journey of oppression, which in the end will hurt the authorities and the state. In a way, where they cannot return. That the NSC speaks of it, only proves the power of it. If it is really used as intended. Because, it doesn’t help if Bobi Wine or Besigye is defiant against the state alone, there need to be a uprising of epic proportions to shake society to its core. To make Bosco aka Jajja aka Museveni loose his cool. He has to see a revolution that will make him naked. Which will make the guns, the mambas, the tear-gas and all the things that keeps the balance out of order.

Until then, there will only be more bloodshed, more land-grabbing, more corrupt behaviour, not to talk about empty propaganda to make the Fountain of Honour look like Angel, while we know he is the devil. Peace.

Opinion: Government Spokesperson Opondo says Bobi Wine is fair-game!

Bobi Wine will be neutralized , he is just excited at his age , yes he has American backers but he will be stopped. He isn’t the first to oppose this government, ,we shall make sure he comes to his senses” Ofwono Opondo on Capital FM (05.05.2019).

Well, this isn’t new, this is more of the same. The National Resistance Movement have tried to do this with plenty and doing this to Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine wouldn’t be revolutionary. That the Director of the Uganda Media Centre, Hon. Ofwono Opondo spoke like this on Capital FM proves the will of the NRM to do whatever to silence the opposition, just as previously broadcast. Just, in this case, all gloves are off.

The man speaks of neutralize a person, meaning to shield him and stop him. This is not having an conversation or even a dialogue. That is far-fetched in this view. This is to ensure, that the MP and Opposition leader follows the program and salutes the master. Bobi Wine is supposed to be a tool and messenger for the Presidency, not challenge it, unless it is in a rigged election and his supposed to accept to loose it. Then, his following the program and being sensitized the right way.

Opondo is clear in his message, though ironic, the Ugandan government is heavy indebted to donor aid over the years of the United States, military training and equipment. It is not like the UPDF would be such a machinery and such a well equipped army, if it wasn’t for the US giving and aiding it. The UPDF couldn’t be such a big Blue-Helmet Operator if not. Not like the North Koreans could supply this or even aid them. This is well-know, so maybe, Opondo should send kisses to Washington D.C. and not claim anything on Bobi Wine whose only retained a US Lawyer Amsterdam.

By all means, the Ugandan government should stop all their connections to the US administration and the aids they are giving. If they are afraid of the interference with Bobi Wine. They should look into their own business and give way. In the meantime, it is easy spin to put blame on Bobi Wine, while the ones eating heavy is in the State House and done so since 1986. Maybe, the greatness of Opondo, even forgot that Museveni was one of the Golden Generation of Bill Clinton, meet in the White House with Ronald Reagan. But hey, that is forgotten history and who needs that.

It is time for Opondo to check his credentials and even his aspirations. Since, his way out of line, but his telling it like it is. Not sugar-coating it. He said he will neutralize him and stop him. They are not playing games. Bobi Wine is a target. Someone for the taking. This is just the beginning. The arrests, house-arrests and charges, until he follows the party line of the NRM. Until then, his fair-game. Peace.

Bobi Wine is out on bail, but not FREE!

Today, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is temporarily free for yet another term. As they took him home after a few days in Luzira Prison on unlawful assembly and inciting violence. Since he with the bail form has accepted to return to Buganda Road Magistrate Court on the 23rd May 2019. This means his only out for about 3 weeks before attending another Court Trial again.

This means the state is starting the process, which they are still continuing from last year in Arua. Where the ones charged for throwing alleged stones on the Presidential Convoy there. The Arua By-Election and the post-election violence, where the driver of Bobi Wine was killed, but nothing has been carried out or official in the concern.

Well, so we can expect that Bobi Wine will return again and again to Court to answer on his demonstration against the Social Media Tax. It is ironic that his Trial went over the VPN from Luzira to Buganda Road Magistrate Court. Where the Courts was doing whatever they could to make it hard.

This battle is far from over, the media houses claiming his free, sadly his not. This is the second charge that is still sticking on him. The Treason Charge of Post Arua By-Election and now the Unlawful Assembly and Inciting violence of July 2018. Therefore, the actions of last year is still haunting him.

The authorities and the state will continue to pursuit and hunt him down. They will arrest him and take him in. Because, they fear his message and what he stands for, which the President doesn’t at this point. The Member of Parliament are really challenging him and the state cannot stomach it.

So, remember, MP Bobi Wine isn’t free, his on BAIL. On a Second Trial and a long-waiting pending case, which the state is still trying to produce evidence for. Which by the manner of these people will take forever until it gets dismissed about 2022-2023. Peace.

Hon. Francis Zaake Statement on Bobi Wine’s Trial Today (02.05.2019)

Today, we attended a court session at Buganda road court in a case involving Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi on one part and Uganda on the other, peculiar enough is the use of video conferencing. It has been applied for the first time in Uganda.

The state has been overwhelmed by protests against the injustice against H.E Bobi Wine to the extent that, they have done all but out of fear.

They feared delivering him physically to Buganda road court.

They judge expressed fear outrightly in her ruling.

They feared containing him any longer.

This is no freedom for Hon. Kyagulanyi at all, it cannot be for us either. There is no freedom unless we liberate ourselves from dictatorship.
It is absolutely our duty and role as Ugandans to determine how we should be governed, we must not be governed out of fear, it must be done out of love for humanity.

Many will critique our approach, but recollecting the words of Theodore Roosevelt, we soldier on. He says that, “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

Ugandans should join the arena and jettison the junta out of the presidency of this country.

Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine – Bail Form/Release Letter (02.05.2019)

Hon. Francis Zaake Statement: Unfortunate day it has been (29.04.2019)

Unfortunate day it has been.

Yesterday, H.E Bobi Wine phoned me and Hon Asuman Basalirwa, requested that we do give him company to the Police CIID headquarters-Kibuli on Monday 29/04/2019.

We had agreed to report at 11:00am but before we had reached our destination, we were intercepted and arrested by Police at Kalerwe while en route to Kibuli CIID headquarters.

We were whisked away to Nagalama Police station in the famous but unpopular Police van.

While at the Police, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi was charged with unlwaful assembly that is alleged to have been committed while demonstrating against OTT last year.

Bobi Wine has been produced before the chief magistrate at Buganda road Court, he was denied bail and remanded to Luzira Prison until Thursday where he will be produced before the same Court at 10:00am.

They also charged me with unlawful assembly while at Busabala which allegedly happened a few days ago but granted police bond until 10/05/2019.

Same People, arrested on the same day, in the same place while traveling in the same vehicle, charged with the same offence allegedly committed at different times, one given Police bond while another produced before court and denied bail.

That is how unprofessional Uganda Police Force can be!

We shall hold on until this government falls.

The Purge on the Opposition Continues: The Bobi Wine Edition!

Today is a very common day in the Republic of Uganda. Yet another day, where the opposition of the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his National Resistance Movement (NRM) are using all law officers and use of the law to purge the opposition.

As this special day, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was supposed to be summoned for an interview for his charge of inciting violence and unlawful assembly on Easter Monday, as he that day was planning to hold an Press Conference on his property. Where he was blocked again from holding the Kyarenga Extra Concert there.

So, as Bobi Wine was summoned to CID Kibuli, however, as he was passing through Wakiso District and into Kampala through Kalerwe market. The public was really gathering around the politician. This really was infuriating the authorities. That is why they arrested him as his convoy was one the way to the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) to answer for his crime and give a statement. This would not happen. As he was taken away from Kalerwe by the Police Force.

They later took him to Nagalama Police Station, as they didn’t want to make fuzz about him. Later they moved him again to Buganda Road Magistrate Court, where they charged him for unlawful assembly and civil disobedience as he was in-charge of a protest against the social media tax and OTT Tax in July 2018. After this he was remanded to Luzira Maximum Prison. Where his now remanded until 2nd May 2019. This is just mere days after the same Police Force house-arrested him without any proper charges or warrants. They are continuing to stifle his political work and also his career in general. In the same fashion, Francis Zaake, and other associates of Bobi Wine have been arrested today. Therefore, his not alone in the fight for liberty and justice in the republic.

All of this was just because he was supposed to make a statement at the CID. As he was crossing the town, he ended up, re-arrested, taken to Court and put in prison. This within less of a half-day. That is the effectiveness of the Republic, when they are purging on the Opposition. Peace.

The charges against Bobi Wine is like clockwork!

We now after a few days knows the verdict of the house-arrest and the charges put on Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Whose been in house-arrest since 22nd April 2019 or Easter Monday. As he had scheduled a Press Conference on his property, as the state had barred and blocked him from holding his Kyarenga Extra Concert there later that day.

However, the Police Force violently took him from his Toyota Land Cruiser and also used water-canons, and tear-gas to get people away from the convoy of the politician/musicians. That is not seen as illegal or as a criminal affair. As they are the law-enforcement is allowed to use brute force and take people away. Even when there is no warrant or legal justification to do so.

Now, days after, the Police Force have sent a letter to Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, saying the reasons for his arrest. They claim that the MP was inciting violence and unlawful gathering. This is common crimes in Uganda, they are soon more common than pickpocketing and theft. Since, the Police Force issues these alleged crimes as often, that its as common as the sky-rocketing rate between the shilling and the US Dollar.

It is hard to see the MP to incite violence, as he was driving his car to his property. If it is illegal to gather on his own property too. Than, surely we should be worried about the gatherings in the compound in Wakiso District too. Surely, Barbie should be afraid of even meeting with her husband now. Since, just to meet and greet him could be seen as a criminal offence. Maybe even drive home to Magere could be seen as unlawful gathering. Who knows? Because, if your someone who challenge the throne, they will pin whatever on you.

This is just another method of the NRM and IGP Okoth-Ochola to misuse power. In the means of silencing a big critic. This time being Bobi Wine, next time, who knows, but could be anyone. Because, if your someone who goes against the President and his click. Expect the vile force of the Police Force to pin your some charges and have to answer for it. Even if it doesn’t stick in court or have the evidence. That is what they do. Peace.
