Opinion: Mzee has wasted everyone’s time since 26th January 1986…

My appeal to Ugandans especially politicians and the public servants is to understand the role of industrialization but also understand the role of investors; don’t waste their time” (…) “Don’t waste their time. Wasting their time is nonreligious, support them so that they move quickly because we have nothing to lose but everything to gain. This factory here is not in India but in Uganda, it is employing our people here, using our electricity, and water, and even if he takes the profits away, it will be only 10 percent of the value of the earnings” – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (21.09.2023).

Well, I know it is pointless to say this, but ever since General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni went into office on the 26th January 1986, he has wasted people’s time and efforts. That is 13,752 days or 37 years and 7 months, or 451 months just to put things in a perspective.

For someone who has been in office for over three decades and ticking close to four. He should be a bit more wiser with his words. Especially when his the cause and the affect for most of it. His the guy that decrees, micro-manage and makes a final decision. The Presidents own directives and letters can change a matter quickly. Therefore, it is rich that he speaks of wasting time or doing things with haste.

When we know he involves himself and wants his cut. We know the investors has to be guided to the State House or through procedures, which entails the authorities, the state and whoever the President has anointed for the matter. That’s how these things goes and no deal is made without his prior authorization or thumbs up.

President Museveni can act or blame civil servants, but these are only following the strings and the organization he has created for them. The mandates, the budgets and the manpower, which he has decided or allowed to happen by proxy. In the end, it’s his government and his party that has the final say. It all is in his hands and he can by the strike of the pencil change things rapidly. He can appoint a governor of the Bank of Uganda whenever he deems fit. That he has proven and his happy to have an interim one there after the death of the previous one.

This is why it’s rich to hear that Museveni lectures people on time wasting. When his the sole proprietor of time wasting management. His the one and only who stifles, stops and put the breaks on things. The President is the one that made the system and has altered it in his ideals. It is his creation of the bloated and duplicated government institutions. That’s all on him and he makes things hectic because of it. There is so many cooks and everyone needs to get their stamps of approval. Therefore, who is he kidding here?

The President is the ones that offers tax-holidays and handshakes. His the ones that is allowing dubious deals and vast scandals. This is why the rot starts from the head. The wasting of time starts with him. It’s his laziness and overbearing nature that is the cause of it. He might not see it himself. But we do… and we have seen it for years.

The President can lecture people, but the lectures is also a mirror into his own failures. That’s because he cannot let go or doesn’t have the capacity to handover responsibility over to others. Only to do so… by the look of it, but he does the final decision in end. This is why things takes time and he knows it.

Sooner or later a letter will decide what happens. The Parliament and the other entities can have their say. However, when that letter is published and gotten to right authority. They just have to listen and change their ways fast…. Peace.

The FDC-Crisis Continues: The Party is Officially split in half…

Amuriat, Mafabi dismissed from FDC!

“I have been directed by the chairperson to read for you proposals that have been made in writing. These include: extension of the FDC leadership term of office and organs by six months from October 8th; putting in place an interim electoral commission to organise transparent, free, and fair elections,” he said. Ssemujju added, “Suspend the following from the leadership of the party: Patrick Amuriat, Nandala Mafabi, and Geofrey Ekanyi. During their suspension, their deputies, Erias Lukwago, Francis Mwijukye and Harold Kaija, will perform the duties of these offices.”” (The Kampala Journal, 19.09.2023).

Today, the National Extraordinary National Delegates Conference settled some grievances within the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). Though it most likely is creating two separate entities, which will weaken the party further. The ideals of the FDC Katonga faction is sincere and honest. However, the ramifications will be felt for a long time.

The FDC of old is ceasing to exist. That is shown by how the authorities has intervened and helped the FDC Najjanankumbi faction. The ones run by Patrick Oboi Amuriat and Nathan Nandala-Mafabi. These are more guided and getting help from the state. That is shown by every single move and the only one stopping them has been the Speaker, which didn’t accept the changes of party Chief Whip. Therefore, little resistance from the resistance party in their regard.

However, the same one has challenged the National Extraordinary National Delegates Conference, which was held today. The authorities claimed it was a danger and they couldn’t vouch for its safety. Regardless of that, it still went on and there was movement within the party.

There isn’t any grounds between the Katonga or Najjanankumbi now. All the tears and suffering is now in the river. These two could be to entities or parties for matters or purposes. Because, the ideals and the way forward is completely different. That’s why the Najjanankumbi is continuing to malign Besigye and whoever is his ally. While Katonga is now doing their “rescue mission”.

It would be better to start a “third force” or a “new formation” which was Maj. Gen. (rtd) Mugisha Muntu’s gig after being ousted as the Party President. That’s how he ended up with the formation of Alliance for National Transformation (ANT). It haven’t become a powerhouse, but a respected party it has become.

While the FDC-Katonga will suffer from the same now. The Najjanankumbi can still cling on the headquarters and whatever assets that remains. They will do so, but the legitimacy of either is questionable at best. Don’t expect Lukwago to be allowed to enter Najjanankumbi now. Neither anyone else who partook in the events today. No, these will face party disciplinary hearings or possible cease to be members. Alas, that is the scenario here. Because, the FDC-Katonga can suspend the ones of the other fraction, but it won’t matter much. It is only damaging the party further and sinking it further a drift.

The FDC-Katonga is better to form its own entity and challenge the FDC-Najjanankumbi heads on. They have the leverage and the idealistic backbone. These have the history and the founders on their team. That’s why these are more level-headed. The FDC which was in the past is now sold and belongs in the graveyard. That’s where Mafabi and Amuriat let the casket drop and they didn’t even get a last dance before it died. They killed it off and they didn’t even mind. As long as they got their cut and salvaged of the hurt.

Now others will say the FDC-Katonga did a coup. Well, the FDC Najjanankumbi doing just that by not being transparent, accountable or sincere in its action. While acting in disregard to the NEC and Delegates Conference of late. The FDC Najjanankumbi fraction isn’t listening or concerned about the internal elections. They are trying to fortify the positions and elevate themselves even further. Without consulting the rest of the party. That’s why we are here and Mafabi has said it himself. He believes his Presidential. When his not even fit to be the Secretary General of the FDC. There is nothing in recent history proving his value or worth as a leader. When you see what the FDC-Najjanankumbi has become…

That’s why the FDC-Katonga has reacted the way it does. However, I don’t expect it too succeed. It will be a fringe and an outside entity. The national bodies or anything else won’t accept it. Expect the courts to dismiss it and call it fraudulent or something. That’s what it does, because they are ordered to benefit the FDC-Najjanankumbi faction… and this is how things goes.

The crisis isn’t over and it’s far from averted. It has only gotten to the next stage and we have to see how the tides are turning. Peace.

Opinion: Mafabi isn’t fit to hawk even…

“I am not like him (Besigye) who has no support even. For me, first of all, I have the home support and so I have where to begin. From there (eastern region). I will go to the north, west and then central. I am a presidential material” – Nathan Nandala-Mafabi (New Vision, 17.09.2023).

Whatever Patrick Oboi Amuriat or Nathan Nandala-Mafabi are currently selling – I am not buying any of it. Certainly I am not alone. These two gentlemen are responsible and in-charge of the fall of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). They are the ones who are burning the party to the ground and all for personal interests.

Now the truth is coming out and the blind ambition is clear. The FDC Secretary General wants to be crowned King. He thinks he got it in him. I don’t doubt his honesty, but this man isn’t that clever. Neither is he bright enough to pull it off.

Nandala-Mafabi would be better as a wallflower than an actual figurehead. His the sort of man who looks good in proximity of power. However, when he has some or the ability to use some. Well, his a Kingpin and a dictator in the making. That’s what the recent fights and internal battles within the FDC has shown us. Instead of settling or even trying to come to sort of accord between two rising fractions. The Secretary General has chosen the part of barricading himself and his fellow peers. These are now blocking procedures and possibility of return to grace.

He as a man has shown that he gets high on power. As a Secretary General he acts with blunt force and without any concern of the consequences. Only maligning others and pinning blame on them. That’s what his even doing as his supposed to aim for the highest office of the land. His targeting one of the founders and former comrade Besigye.

Nandala-Mafabi will never be as respected or beloved as Besigye. It isn’t in him and he cannot carry himself like Besigye. There is a vast difference in style and substance. Besigye has a message and story to tell. While Nandala-Mafabi is just trading insults and sny comments about others. Instead of manning up to his own short-comings and being a man about it.

No, there is no future where Nandala-Mafabi would be suitable for the Presidency. It would be to much for him to become the Party President even. His no Muntu or Besigye for that matter. No, his a lonely prince waiting for his Kingdom. That’s what he is and his failing at it.

When you have to malign and destroy the legacy of another one. That’s when you know you have little to nothing to offer. The Secretary General could have come correct and dropped the bombshell with some finesse, but that’s too much to ask. He couldn’t have carried that or been responsible if he did just that.

In the manner of which he ran the party for the 2021 General Elections and how he has been determined to undermine the ones who questions him. It just shows that the Secretary General of the FDC isn’t fit for Office. He shouldn’t even be in the one his occupying right now. His not even able to do that correctly. So, how would he fare as President… I cannot even phantom it or imagine anything good coming out it. Nandala-Mafabi is just another tyrant in the making…

That’s because of how his handled the pressure and the choices he has made as a Secretary General. This is why I have no faith in the man. He has made his own bed and now he has to sleep in it. No one believes in him or his cause. That is to far gone… the man isn’t redeemable and neither is his career. He got a hot minute, but neither would do him any good. Peace.

The FDC-Crisis Continues: The FDC Extra Ordinary Delegates Conference been blocked by the Authorities…

Since August 15th 2023 the Chairman of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) had notified and called for a an Extra Ordinary Delegates Conference, which had 9 minutes and was scheduled for the 19th September 2023 in Kampala.

The Notice was sent out on the 15th August 2023 and most likely the FDC Chairman notified the authorities early to adhere to the laws of gatherings and such in the Public Order and Management Act (POMA). So, that the conference could go on and the FDC could finalize the matters, which are still left unresolved. That’s why the Chairman called for this conference and the party needs it.

However, now on the 12th September 2023 just a week ahead of the conference the Police Force is saying they cannot hold it. The UPF is blocking the conference and says it cannot ensure the safety of the attendance. The authorities and everyone else knew that this was scheduled and bound to happen.

The leadership of the FDC knew as well. They are tearing each other apart and now the inner-circle is getting help from the authorities. We know the Secretary General Nathan Nandala-Mafabi and Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat doesn’t want the show to go on. They want it shut down and stopped. Therefore, it is convenient for them that the UPF is blocking it from happening.

Even if the Chairman is bound by the Party Constitution and should be allowed to hold this conference at Nature’s Green Beach Resort at Busaabala. Regardless of that… they are apparently not allowed and the Police even states the obvious.

It is amazing that they actually wrote this about the matter: “Police will therefore not be ready to provide the required security for the event until the party position is harmonized” (UPF, 12.09.2023).

The idea of the Extra Ordinary Delegate’s Conference is to harmonize and ensure a unified party position. That’s why the Chairman is calling for it in the first place. It is amusing that the UPF directs the party to the courts to settle internal squabble. Wonder if the NRM would have accepted this. The UPF and the authorities is politicking here and not allowing the FDC to function. It is blocking it from working internally and finding measures, which it needs.

This is only serving Nandala-Mafabi and Oboi Amuriat. These two are the victors here. This is done on their behalf and most likely are they giddy too. They already blocked funding for the conference earlier this month. So, now the authorities just blocked it and now stops the chairman from doing his duty.

That’s really telling of what is going on. The FDC is in shambles and soon the inner-circle is dancing on its grave. They aren’t making the party better, but instead destroying it from within with the help from outside forces. Now, the FDC is continuing to burn and the authorities are putting more wood on the flames. This isn’t a hot potato, no it is a burning potato.

We can see where this is going and that’s nowhere good. Peace.

Opinion: The Authorities suddenly blocks Bobi Wine…

We’re going to put an end to the mob mentality, bullying and intimidating tactics of NUP radicals against civilians and law enforcers” – CP Fred Enaga (13.09.2023).

The honeymoon period of mobilization is over after the rally today in Arua and Pakwach. The National Unity Platform and Opposition Leader held a Mobilization Rally there today and that was the final straw.

The Uganda Police Force is now blocking any sort of gathering or public event from the NUP. Meaning the NUP is barred from mobilisation or campaign as it has done in Fort Portal, Kasese, Mbarara, Jinja, Mbale, Lira, Mayuge, Busia, Kabale, Hoima and Luweero.

So we have seen all through August and September the rising tides of change. The NUP and Bobi Wine has sparked excitement and public attention. In such a manner, that the authorities has had enough. They haven’t seen violence or public indecency. Neither has there been any looting or idle behaviour of hoodlums or anything else of that nature. There haven’t been any sort of problem or anything. Just public outcry and passion for the visitor from Kampala. The Bad Man from Kamwokya is sparking fire and making things lit.

That’s why the UPF and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has to block it. They cannot say the NUP is a regional party and neither their support is lacking in rural Uganda. They have shown that the public shows up in the North, East and the West. The NUP wasn’t even allowed to gather the public in their supposed heartland in the Central Region or Baganda. They did so in Luweero, but what if they did so in Entebbe, Masaka, Mukono or Wakiso. We can just imagine the crowds and public display if they tried in the Greater Metropolitan Area of Kampala. That would be massive and parts of the city would practically be at standstill.

This tour and mobilisation campaign is just proving that the propaganda and the stories told by the state isn’t true. They have tried to forge narratives and stories about the NUP. However, they have disregarded the sentiments from the people. It is just further proof of what is going on.

They are using sudden “terrorist threats” which has been unproven and just happen to become a scenario when the NUP moves around. It didn’t happen when the NUP and Bobi Wine remained under lock and key at home. No, it didn’t happen when they tried to run the party from the headquarters of Kamwokya. No, it had to appear and become a big deal the moment that Bobi Wine travelled across the land. Especially, when the authorities see how peaceful and how organized the events are. They see how the NUP and the people are welcoming him. It is a humiliating loss of words and shows how unpopular the current status quo is. Because, it is just telling them that this love isn’t mutual at all.

The police should do policing and not politicking. However, we know the UPF has to do this, because they are ordered to do so. The NUP and Bobi Wine has spanked the NRM around. He has shown his character and why his beloved in the Republic. Something that hurts the pride of Mzee and the son. These two are not capable of what Bobi Wine is currently doing. They don’t have the love or the heart in this game. They are only able to intimidate and buy-off the competition. These two don’t know what popularity means or how they can access that. That’s why they have to block and silence the dissidents. They have to vilify and penalize the ones who stands in their way.

Bobi Wine and the NUP was lucky they were able to keep on this long. They were able to visit so many places before the authorities called it off. That was just lucky. We could have seen martyrs and possible police brutality if this continued. We could assess that the state would do mass-arrests and pre-emptive detention of the NUP leadership. That would be within reason of the state and their law enforcement. We have seen that before and it wouldn’t be shocking in 2023.

The UPF and the NRM is just showing it true face. Instead of actually allowing and accepting the popularity of the NUP. They are instead using the law and the authorities to stop them from going around. That is childish and very cowardly of them. Pinning blame on the people and the ones who shows up to NUP rallies. That’s what the Police is doing and they aren’t showing any credible evidence or it. Neither does they have any. It is just like the planted weapons and bullets in Arua on Bobi Wine. That’s how they operate and they think we will believe them.

The UPF and NRM is lost here. It isn’t funny and it’s a losing strategy. Peace.

Uganda Police Force (UPF): Police Suspends NUP Mobilization Activities til Further Notice (13.09.2023)

Opinion: KaBobi’s Upcountry journey…

The recent mobilisation tour of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine is sort of ended. As he went to Mbarara, Fort Portal, Kasese, Lira and Luweero. He traversed the countryside and got the ability to hold rallies. This happened outside of the Election Road Map. Meaning the National Resistance Movement (NRM) isn’t fearing the crowds, the surge or the popularity of Bobi Wine.

Somehow they allowed him to do it. It must be reasons revealed at a later date. For sure we will see Muhoozi Kainerubaga do even more than sporting events and birthday bashes now. He will do campaigning for his MK Movement. That is the first step in all of this.

While we are seeing the NRM and the apologists attack every word or argument from Bobi Wine. They are downplaying and disregarding what they where seeing. If it wasn’t ferrying people from Kampala. It was all other things and they could just pin blame on him. While the army warned about wearing fatigues and red berets again. This time around there wasn’t mass-arrests, tear-gas, dispersing of crowds or any sort of brutal shut-down of the masses. No, the authorities and the state let it go. Even if there was instances of anti-riot police prepared up-country and waiting for the “final word”. Alas, that never happened and we can now wonder why…

That’s what is boggling my mind. The authorities and the state has allowed these sorts of things before with Dr. Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi. They allowed big rallies and such but by the time of reckoning. The state machinery would be on top and ensure a safe haven for the Presidency. That’s what it does and the opposition is left behind.

This is why we cannot read into too much the big crowds. Especially, if these crowds aren’t participating or partaking in the struggle. If they are showing up for the party and the festivities of the newest upstart. They have done so with the aforementioned leaders too and to no avail. Unless, Bobi Wine has the new wine and not just copying the old, which I hope is not the case.

Bobi Wine and the NUP shows by doing this that they are not a just a Baganda party. They are not just a Central Region party. They have support across the Report. In the West, East and North. They have it even in the heartland and where the Mecca of the NRM, the Luweero Triangle. That’s where he ended this journey this time around.

We have seen the crowds, the joy and the public pleasure of greeting Bobi Wine. His a voice of reason and a popular leader. However, Besigye could do the same in his heyday. He could be everywhere and crowds followed him. It was for a reason that he had the nickname “the People’s President” and he created the People’s Government. That’s all out of his popularity and his defiance against the state structures who wasn’t acknowledging his results in the polls. Therefore, Bobi Wine has to learn from this.

Bobi Wine cannot just bash in glory and repeat what Besigye did. Especially, if the end-game is to remove a dictator. He cannot run the same course and the same approach, and expect a different result. Then you are repeating, rinsing and repeating. It is another year and another time, but reality is more of the same. No changes but the faces of the opposition. The rest is continuing where the previous generation left-off.

This mobilization tour hopeful has something lasting results. More than opening up party offices. Mbabazi did the trick too as Go-Forward opening up offices up-country. That didn’t do much for him either. Alas, that is why Bobi Wine and the NUP needs to think smarter. They need to think of the long-con and the longevity. Not just ahead of the 2026 polls. There is more to life then the election cycle. That is the bitter pill and the costly one too. The political party has its life-blood there, but the message and the will to transform the nation has to come from within. From there spread to the masses. In such a fashion that they are will to battle and go to the trenches. Because after all these years, we know Museveni won’t be defeated on a ballot and the system is rigged against the opposition. Bobi Wine knows this very well and so does anyone else too.

The crowds, the speeches and the popularity is all fine. It is a nice view. However, he needs to think ahead and try to be two steps ahead of competition. While not being tricked or be a tool for the betterment of Muhoozi. That’s possibly the outcome here. As it vindicates him and gives him more reason to campaign ahead of 2026. Because, they allowed Bobi Wine so… Muhoozi should do it too.

We see you, yes, we see you. That’s the game and it is rigged. KaBobi is a maverick, but even those can become pawns. If they are not trying to outwit the ones who has power. Peace.

Opinion: 82 able-bodied persons don’t have the time for the August house…

The failure of some Ministers to regularly attend house brings business to a standstill, remember you are here for you to be able to respond as the Executive, remember we are holding these offices in public trust, and when you abdicate your responsibility as Ministers, that is breach, as leaders. Let us do what we are sent to do, let us be responsible enough. The absence of Ministers impedes the efficiency and effectiveness of the Legislature” – Speaker Anita Among (07.09.2023)

In the 11th Parliament, there is 82 appointed ministers. That includes three Deputy Prime Ministers and several other ministers under the Office of the President and Office of the Prime Minister, which all have different mandates. Alas, there isn’t only the problematic issue of what a difference between a Senior and Junior Minister, but also the various of complicated approaches or duplications created with these ministers. When you know that… you understand why people are not showing in Parliament or knowing if it is their turn.

The bloated government structure of President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni has been like this for years. It is not even looking into the amount of Senior Presidential Advisors or Staff in connection with the State House. No, this is just the mere appointees into his cabinet. It is so vast and huge, as they have trouble remembering what they are supposed to do. If not… there is someone else on the detail anyway. So why bother, right?

These Ministers has a fancy title and a salaries. These people are well off and getting paid. Regardless of what they need to do or what sort of work they have to put in. When there are so many in the same office and within the same parameter. It is hard to know which of the Ministry of Agriculture your supposed to talk too. There are one Senior and at least three junior with all different “missions”. Alas, that is where the problem remain.

This is created by the President and it’s his making. It is the system and creation of Museveni. He has ensured this mess. There are to many chefs and a small kitchen to make the feast. It doesn’t have the space or ability to fit them all. The Ministers can complain about workload or traffic-jams in Kampala. However, they still need to report to the Plenary Sessions and answer to outstanding questions or remaining oversight from the Parliament. That’s their duty and they are bound by law to do so.

I understand that the Speaker wants to do a grand standing and show character here. That she is the one and has the direct line to the President. As she’s tired of the lack of care or concern of the plenary sessions. As the Ministers are not there to answer or to even show work ethic. Alas, they are bound to end up like that when several of people are indirectly working for the same or just small pockets of it. Unless, they are directed to work on one bill, one vote or answer to questions about one motion. Which happens to be within their ministry and field. However, in some of these instances it could be two or three Ministers that could show up for one thing easily. Who is the person and what gives?

There needs to made an effort for the duplicated ministries and the people involved to know their turn. Secondly, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker have to have a hands on approach. If not have the Secretariat or Staff in their offices to fix these things. They got to direct it and tell when its appropriate for them to show up. Because, I could easily see several people showing up from Ministry of Works or Ministry of Gender etc. It is just so easy to see a few Ministers popping by, because they are guessing it is their turn. While in some cases, because of the way the Cabinet is organized. There was only one who was intended, but the Offices are so intertwined that its hard to follow suit…

So, yes the Ministers should show up and answer the call of the Parliament. That’s what they are supposed to do. There are 82 individuals who knows their place and turn. These should be notified and get a heads up. So, they know it isn’t another one of them. Since there are so many and they are so connected together. That’s why plenty of the 82 ministers are unknown to people, even if they were appointed in 2021 and we are in September 2023. The amount of Ministers makes things hectic and stressful.

This is the creation of Museveni and he is the one to blame for all of it. The cabinet is his making and because of his need to give all of his peers or cronies jobs. That’s what he does and this is why they don’t know what to do. Peace.

Opinion: Speaker Among has become to powerful [as she’s policing journalism now!]

UPDATE: Bugiri Municipality MP,Asuman Basalirwa just forwarded a WhatsApp message to speaker Anita Among who asked her guards to arrest Radio One/Akaboozi FM journalist Jude Bukenya (sender),who was investigating a scandal at parliament” (Rise News Uganda Network, 05.09.2023).

“Our speaker is like a goddess. She’s the 3rd in order of national precedence. I can’t allow foolish journalists to joke with her name. I hope that idiot from Radio One gets killed wherever he’s being detained. Never play on Among’s name,”~Bugiri municipality MP Asuman Basalirwa” (The Kampala Journal, 05.09.2023).

The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among has to much influence. She got the Uganda Police Force (UPF) on speed-dial. Apparently, she has the rights to detain and get people arrested. That’s done pre-emptively and without any consideration of the law. All she has to do is order her guards and they fixes it for her.

The journalist of Radio One/Akaboozi FM Jude Bukenya was only doing his job. We also see what sort of man Asuman Basalirwa MP is. We already knows he has little to no heart for people who isn’t like himself. His a man who calls himself a human rights lawyer, but has a jaded vision of what that really entails. When he rats people out and is proud of getting them arrested. Instead of considering the work of Bukenya and his rights to investigate the speaker as a journalist.

This is criminalizing a profession. It shows how dangerous it is to touch or even try to expose the high and mighty. They are only allowing certain amount of scandals or pre-planned leaks, as cabinet reshuffle or fall-guy for the President. The rest can use the authorities and the law enforcement in their own hands.

We have already seen that the Speaker acts above the law. She has worked outside her mandate in regards to the opposition. Speaker Among is partisan and a soldier for the cause. While her arrogance and her demeanour will be her downfall. Eventually she do something wrong or become to high on her own supply. That Mzee or associates have to tell him to clip her wings.

Speaker Among enjoys the privilege and the power. She bashes in it and has a wonderful time in office. Right now Among is at her peak and feeling the glory. That’s why men like Basalirwa will serve her and they allies. Basalirwa got his private motion and private bill enacted and he has felt like a Prince ever since. That he matters and the Speaker allows it.

It is just amazing that the Speaker can do this and without any hesitation. That’s how both Basalirwa and Among values others. As they are brutally arresting someone and without justifiable cause. Only out of spite and revenge. There is nothing substantial and the truth will exposed eventually. As secrets and leaks will appear. Especially, the moment the Speaker falls out with the master and his close associates. That’s when she’s the next washed up politician to fall on her sword.

Speaker Among should be careful. She is not only criminalizing journalism, but using force, which can easily one day turn against her. As a Speaker she will not be worried about that today. However, all lessons comes at a later point. When that happens – it is too late to say – I told you so. Peace.
