Uganda: New Cabinet List Out (Youtube-Clip)

Opinion: Museveni’s growing ‘royal’ court

Parliament Uganda

As of today the Executive, the 7th Term of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni that started now recently after a rigged election. There been selected 31 Ministers, 49 Minster of State and one Vice President. The total amount of honorable Ministers is 80! The one career that is resurrected as he is the ‘Minster for crocodiles’ Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire, the man who lost NRM Primaries this last fall in 2015, and lost again in the General Election in 2016, still he was able to escape and be get brownie points for Mzee.

Hon. Betty Kamya who has defended and attacked Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and Besigye through her campaign, have been also elevated as she run for the Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA), she took over the Minister for Kampala City after Hon. Frank Tumbewaze who is now the Minister for Information, ICT and Communication, a Ministerial Post; that the now gone MP Gen. Jim Muhwezi.

Chris Baryomunsi Quote Daily Monitor

Well, the good news is that Dr. Chris Baryomusi went to the Ministry of State of Housing, went from Health Care, where he said it wasn’t a big deal with the missing Cobalt 60 Teletheraphy machine at Mulago Hospital and the Uganda Cancer Institute, as the Cancer Patients’ would die anyway… So there is some justice in his demoted state into state minister for Housing… the people who has sickness in Uganda should be giddy, but wished that he was out of Parliament as he was so despicable when the Health Care scandal of Mulago came to light!

Well, then there Hon. Simon Lodoko, who for some reason are Minister of State for Ethics and Integrity… who wanted to sack Dr. Stella Nyanzi after her naked crusade after unethical political motivated in April 2016 from Makerere University.

Al Hajji Abdul Nadduli

And you have the wonderful Al-Hajji Abdul Nadduli, the former NRM Vice-Chairmen for the Central Region, gotten the fantastic Ministerial Post that I hope to have one day in my own country; Minister Without Portefolio. He can chill and get the brown-envelope with Ministerial perks and be a secure vote in Parliament as he is a Minister in the Cabinet. If the man ever wants to do crap, and deliver a petition or notion in parliament, it will be a bonus, but he could just relax in Kabalagala or hang out at the ‘Chicken-In’ at Wandegeya.

Well, will not take on more Minister’s even if there more than in enough the Cabinet, as other die-hards and loyalist Gen. Henry Tukumunde aka Money Man of General Elections, got his corrupt hands into a ministry as well, together with other Musevenism ministers like Hon. Sam Kuteesa, Hon. Matia Kasaija, Hon. Adolf Mwesige, Hon. Irene Muloni, Hon. Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye, Hon. David Bhati, Hon. Sarah Ochient Opendi and Hon. Oryem Okello… that I can mention in haste, without caring for their ministries… 9 ministries and ministers, also the First Lady got a bigger role this time Hon. Janet Museveni, she was tired of the Karamoja and not enough funds to take from Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF II)…

museveni and his gun

As for the ministers and amount of them, the Executive are hiring more loyal people around him, he want a giant royal court and be midlevel level, as he wants to be the king on the Iron Throne, with the AK-47 and have whispers from every corner as he wants to control all men of his kingdom. President Museveni, are hiring and hiring men who are loyal to him and men who went as independent, as they lost the NRM Primaries… but he still want them around as they are good people for him and will not sell him out, as long as they are kept fed. Take a look at the numbers!

Museveni currently has 116 advisors in the Office of the President; but the statement suggests this number is to rise to 121 this financial year. This is 39 more than the number of advisors the president had at the beginning of his fourth elective presidential term in 2011” (…)”For instance, after the March 2015 cabinet reshuffle, former Attorney General Peter Nyombi and former Finance, Planning and Economic Development Minister Maria Kiwanuka joined the long list of presidential advisors who are former ministers. Some of the former ministers who are advisors include Gerald Ssendaula, Ham Mulira Mukasa, Ezra Suruma, Namirembe Bitamazire, Beatrice Wabudeya and Gen Salim Saleh. Others are former prime ministers Kintu Musoke and Apolo Nsibambi, former vice president Specioza Wandira Kazibwe, Dr James Makumbi and Muhammed Mayanja who were ministers in the 1990s” (Kaaya, 2016).

This proves that men who are loyal and silent without going into opposition, can expect to get a unelected position by serving President Museveni, as he likes loyalty and knowledge that him paying them keeps them close, as he knows the fellows who are corrupted by him and wants his corrupted behavior gone, will not be close; they will be silenced. The strange news from today was this:

“A further scrutiny of the list also found that former envoys Francis Butagira and Ibrahim Mukiibi are also presidential advisors. Two of the listed 116 advisors such as Hajji Badru Wegulo and Besweri Mulondo are dead” (Kaaya, 2016).

Museveni Kenya Speech 2016

2 men are dead that are currently on the Presidential Advisory list of Uganda, that is explanatory of level of scrutiny the governance of Central government needs, the need for restructure and need for change from the Musevenism that everything circles around him and his visions, as they are now so corrupted and so owned by own personal gain… instead they are now all indebted to Museveni, instead of trying to build better government and ministries that serves the people, the citizens, instead they serve Museveni and wants to be in his court and get his word. That is why they want to be hired, instead of actually making a genuine difference and using the state affairs and state ministries to show accountability for state funds and their pledges. They are instead there all to serve President Museveni, and that is not a healthy functioning state, the government is paying for the bloated ministries, ministers, members of parliament, and all the loyal men that President Museveni keeps in his court, as the numbers of men on the State House Payroll, is also staggering, but that is for another day! This is just the official hiring, not the ones that serving the MPs, Ministries and State Ministers… Peace.

PS: I wonder who eats on the dead-men’s salaries, because surely somebody is catching in on the paychecks of the fallen Museveni soldiers… Think about that for a minute.

My last words to Mwenda on his battle against the FDC: “Kill that, kill that Noise”

KRS Shan

MC Shan the rapper who wrote a diss song back at KRS-One back in eighties wrote these lyrics and I will use them to how I feel when I read Mwenda comments of late:

“(South Bronx) Kill that, kill that noise (Repeat x8)” (MC Shan – ‘Kill that Noise’, 1987). That was written and made as an response the track made by KRS-One wrote this verse in the diss against the Juice Crew who MC Shan was a part of: “South Bronx, the South, South Bronx (Repeat x4)” (KRS-One – ‘South Bronx’, 1987). Those diss songs we’re made against each other. First came KRS-One with “South Bronx” with an answer from MC Shan, that was made to silence KRS-One and BDP. Instead he made a career on the answer from MC Shan and Juice Crew. This here is written as my answer to the allegation and direcet attacks from Andrew Mwenda, the editor of the Independent Magazine, and his rants against the Forum for the Democratic Change (FDC). That because his lost mind, need to be addressed, as he is more and more sounding like wild cat, than a poltical editor. Take a look!

????????????????????????????????????

With that in mind when I read stuff like this from Mwenda, says this:

“During the Second World War, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill (perhaps the bitterest enemy of communism) allied with the communist USSR and its brutal leader Joseph Stalin to defeat Adolf Hitler and his German reich. When asked why he could work with such an evil regime, Churchill said he was even willing to go to hell and ally with the devil if that was necessary to defeat Hitler. Today I find myself in the same position as Churchill. I am willing to go to hell and ally with the devil to defeat the extremism and intolerance of the radical faction of FDC” (Mwenda, 03.06.2016).

Well, to put himself in the space of Churchill is brave, as long parts Churchill was opposition and was even demoted, and had to prove his worth after even being a warrior who fought in Sudan, before coming back with his name to Parliament in Britain. Surely Mr. Mwenda has lost that part of Churchill past. That he sets the Communism versus capitalism/western values on the same levels as NRM versus FDC, proves that something is lost in the wind. Mr. Mwenda is forgetting why there are radical factions in Uganda in general, and why there are parts of FDC who are like that, why does the terrorizing the FDC, detaining and torture of FDC leadership? House arrests of MP Michael Kabaziguruka, have after the Martyr’s Day, been under house-arrest again! And the Mwenda, the so-called intellectual wonder why certain men becomes radical?

Does the same Mwenda forget that Mandela was so radical against the Aparteid at one point in the 1960s that he was caught with a gun? The man, who knows how these sort of organizations and actions happens as the oppressive behavior happens without impunity and justice, the people and political parties in opposition have to react, the Presidential Candidate of FDC is behind bars, the party have been for month banned from acting on their will from Constitutional Court, IGP Kayihura have monitored all kind of actions from the FDC. And Mwenda still wonders why there are existing radical parts of the FDC? There should be existing radical political parts in other parties in Uganda, as they are harshly oppressed by NRM Regime, and detained, JEEMA offices was even besieged by the Police during May, Human Rights Organizations raided and the Police not interested in catching the men on the CCTV camera. The lawyers of Amama Mbabazi raid have not been taken in or done anything with these actions.

The proven now loyalty of Andrew Mwenda is with the NRM and the NRM Regime, as he cannot stand the truth and questioning from FDC loyalist, as the FDC are haunted and taken to custody at any moment. The lingering unlawfulness, the reign of terror against the opposition has been at the main stage since February 2016.

MwendaNewNight

He said this in the end of May 2016:

I am running a one man’s war against FDC extremists. They love me, and one of them even drew a nice cartoon of me. So they always show up on this page to read what I write and comment. They don’t argue but only insult. And they think (like Jeb Bush said of Donald Trump) they can insult their way to the presidency. Trump is doing it. They too may succeed if we all don’t join the fight against their Taliban-like politics! God forbid!!” (Mwenda, 31.05.2016).

I am not here to insult you, your noise Mr. Mwenda, you promote corruption, police harassment with impunity, political exploitation and also oppressive behavior, not that the FDC and their leadership is correct on everything. But when the Police make a party headquarter a “Crime Scene”, when FDC activist, FDC Members and FDC leaders are all the time taken to court or detained with or without charges, then you know that there are a war already from the NRM and the Central Government, that is not insulting you or your wisdom Mr. Mwenda, but instead an institutionalized oppression of the FDC. The gravity has hit you. Your words (Mr Mwenda) are now for me noise. Noise, and I ask as MC Shan did in 1987: “Kill that, kill that Noise”. Peace.

PS: here is the song…!

Doreen Nyanjura Statement: “We have waited too long for our freedom. We can no longer wait” (02.06.2016)

Nakawa Doreen Ingrid 01.06.2016

‘’Our struggle has reached a decisive moment. We call upon Ugandans to seize this moment. We have waited too long for our freedom. We can no longer wait. Now is the time to intensify the struggle on all fronts. To relax our efforts now would be a mistake which generations to come will not be able to forgive. The sight of freedom looming on the horizon should encourage us to redouble our efforts.’’ – Doreen Nyanjura – FDC Councillor Elect for Makerere in Kampala.

#SOTNUG16 rehashed his own 1980s ideas; The Old Man in a Hat gone full circle!

Museveni 31.05.2016

Here I will take something that hasn’t changed in the 30 years of National Resistance Movement in Uganda, as the same Executive said the same things, apparently within 30 years space. That is possible in the world we live in and how he really have talked and walked in circles. Will take parts of the speech yesterday and to speeches President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni did in the late 1980s, to prove how he has spin all around and have run back to start, actually.

Museveni Swear in 1986

With that in mind a little look into words said on his first speech in the General Assembly of United Nations on the 21st October 1987 in New York, when in his speech then, he said this:

“Those Countries with a tourist industry cannot, in most cases, service it on it own. For instance, the cornflakes, jam, cheese, and wines to feed the tourists all come from all outside the Third World. So-called factories are, therefore, no more than assembly plants”.

In a Speech at the Opening of the National Workshop for the Development of Small-Scale Industries on the 3rd April 1989, when he said this:

“I have managed with a lot of difficulty, to get some figures from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. I wanted some figures for tractor prices, but the ministry could not get them. If they do not have such figures, I do not know how they operate. Anyhow, they managed to get me prices for Bedford trucks. Since 1980, a Bedford truck has been rising in price with 6,5 percent per annum” (…)”If we look at coffee prices, however, while the price of the Bedford truck have been rising by 6,5 percent per annum, coffee prices fell by 32 percent between 1980 and 1987. It is not only Bedford’s that are going up in price, it is any manufactured product you care to import. You can see the situation is not in our favor”.

Bedford Africs

Then we jump in space and time, we end up in Kampala in the Ugandan Parliament, the opening of the 10th Parliament, as the still President Museveni in 2016; with another new State of the Nation Address, this time in the year of 2016, on the 31st May 2016, when he was actually saying this:

“One sector, for instance, is assembling cars rather than importing the already assembled cars.  When a car is imported in knockdown state and is assembled here, it is about 25% cheaper because it is cheaper to transport car parts on ships and trains than importing assembled cars.  When a car is already assembled, it occupies more space on the ship and on train flat-bed wagons.  Hence, it is more costly” (…)“All this is not just about stopping the haemorrhage of our money to the outside and paying more than we should pay.  It is also about jobs for our children.  By importing so much from outside, we are creating jobs for the children of the Chinese, the Indians, the Japanese, the Europeans, the Americans and the Middle Easterners and forgetting about our own children. This must stop.  If all the textiles that are used in Uganda are made here, we shall save US$888 million, annually and create about 45,000 direct manufacturing jobs.  By insisting on only allowing vehicles that are assembled in-country (lorries, buses, mini-buses, pick-ups and piki-pikis) to be sold in the Ethiopian market, they have created 160,000 jobs.  You can check that easily” (…)”I have talked to our importers. These policy changes or evolutions should not take one year.  We can phase them; but they must be triggered. Otherwise, we shall be slaves.  We shall continue to run a supermarket for foreign products but which we call country”.

What do you think, he has gone in circle and lost his way somewhere between Gulu-Masindi-Hoima-Mbarara-Masaka-Kampala, right? Maybe he crossed to Kabale at one point or into Kisoro to delegate some troops for the DRC or Rwanda, depending on which year of his rule. Not easy to know, what is easy to know by now how he has lost control of his mind, and is even recycling the same agenda as in 1980s and not even trying to sound fresh, clean and ready to run the country. He cannot be taken serious as he hasn’t delivered this in 30 years, why should he manage it in to his 35 years, I am just sneezing as his Opposition is detained in the Museveni-ocracy… or whatever a Police-state/totalitarian regime infused with re-hashed ideas of old. Welcome The Old Man in a Hat! Peace.

PS: If you want to read the old speeches of the dictator and the grand Don Museveni, the NRA/NRM head honcho, you should either check out the library an read the book named “What is Africa’s Problem?” Written by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the book we’re published in 2000 from the University of Minnesota Press, United States of America.

FDC NEC with their recent actions “acting like a fish out of water”

FDC NEC

As the news of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) National Executive Committee (NEC) accepted two persons who wanted to be in shadow cabinet in Parliament of Uganda. The ones that are shocked that certain parts of the FDC-O wanted this, shouldn’t be, as the FDC have been there before and is going back into its shell, like a tortoise.

FDC under Rtd. Maj. Gen. Mughisha Muntu who proclaimed victory over Museveni and his NRM in February have either swallowed a lot of scallops or lost the bargained time and though a WhatsApp update was to reinvent the internet. While his man and the one who made the campaign of 2015/2016 so massive is lingering in Luzira, and for those who don’t know that is Dr. Kizza Besigye.

While certain FDC candidates, leaders and others have been house-arrested, kidnapped or even tortured. So for their hardships certain parts of central leadership have given them up. Like the FDC Youth leader who was tortured in Northern Uganda. As much as the FDC candidate against Jacob Oulanyah, the new Deputy Speaker in Parliament is reported to be detained around Kololo. So while the FDC members and leaders, candidates even tortured and arrested without reason. Certain MPs still have the armor and Teflon to say they we’re loser and want to bend backwards towards the NRM and Museveni.

NBS Presidential Election Petition 2016

The 10th Parliament is a sham; it is rigged to fix the stamps for Museveni and his vision. While the rest of the men are puppeteers who are there to mop the floor of the vomit that is coming out Mzee mouth. I am just saying what so many are thinking, but not having the honor of saying. With this in mind, while he is handpicking the most useless heads to run dozen ministries, to follow his vision and his proposed laws.

Hon. Winnie Kiiza of Kasese is now the Leader of Opposition and has taken the token over from last term Hon. Nathan Nandala-Mafabi. The second position went to FDC Spokesperson Hon. Ibrahim Nganda Ssemujju becoming the Chief Whip of the shadow cabinet in Parliament. So the FDC-O or the FDC NEC feared losing this would lose their little entitlement in Parliament in this term, even if this is smidge of gain, not even worth talking about. It would be like given Ministry of Information and National Guidance or some other tiny ministry without access to any central funds or such.

Defiance Pens

The action is countering the whole Defiance campaign and the one that the Party was standing behind went it was hot. The heat and the intimidation together with the little fear the Democratic Party MP or Uganda People’s Congress MP could shelf them even more in the Parliament; I presume that is the case. But what is to gain for compliance when you have fought with defiance?

Dear FDC MPs and FDC NEC what was with the defying the NRM and Museveni, was that a joke to you? Was that something that clings nice in November 2015 until March 2016? Now it’s like a living fish on land for certain of you, as you try to become fish in the water again.

Besigye Kampala 11.05.2016 P3

I just have to ask, since this counters what Besigye who have heart and is stuck in prison for his faith in the will of change in the Nation. Not to be obedient to Museveni, as he sells his soul for an extra cow to his farms. With that he will soon be on trial for treason against the state. While the MPs and Central leadership tries to salvage some silver and gold in Parliament as Opposition. That is weak tea

Don’t FDC Party President Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu cares about all the ones who were detained for the cause? Doesn’t the rest of FDC NEC care to: Vice Chairman Proscovia Salaamu-Musumba, Leader of Oppostion Hon. Wafula Oguttu, Amb. Waswa Birigwa, Hon. Cecilia Ogwal, Hon. Jack Sabiiti, Patrick Baguma, Hon. Ronald Reagan Okum and Nabilah Naggayi Sempala. And others who might be on the FDC NEC meeting this week and decided for Hon. Winnie Kiiza and Hon. Ibrahim Nganda Ssemujju.

Winnie Kiiza 26.05.2016

We are allowed to question after they we’re so hardline and astute during the campaign and after, as the FDC headquarters we’re besieged and even made as a crime-scene. Party Youth and other activists we’re taken, even just pedestrians passing by demonstrations gotten detained because of the cause, the defiance of the NRM and Museveni; something that is now lost. As the FDC NEC accept the military takeover and the Police Brutality of the party and the members. The Defiance Campaign from their standpoint is just nonsense, when they sell their cause for a meager and meaningless position. If it was a position worth a damn, wouldn’t the ambition of the man as Hon. Nathan Nandala-Mafabi say “no” to it now. That because he knows how little it really matters.

The only one who has won on this is Museveni and his 10th Parliament that was rigged in favor and have the amount of MPs set for NRM Regime, so they set the standard and fixed to work well for Museveni, that is why the business as usual with Hon. Rebecca Kadaga as Speaker and Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah. They don’t care much for the opposition, and they will care even less, when they see how easy the FDC gave way. The Museveni have spoken many time to crash and crush opposition. This is a little kiss of death.

Like the one held by Special Forces Command who confirmed beaten Hon. Oulanyah in the rigged election Simon Tolit of Omoro County. NRM regime even tried to buy him with a job in Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and 1.5 billion, so that he would silently go away from the victory, since he didn’t he got kidnapped for his defiance. So since he defying the business as usual, he has to now be detained in the mercy of the SFC.

Tolit Victory

With that in mind, The Museveni has the ability to tangle a little candy and the FDC NEC went to eat it. Instead of standing by the men and woman who have been and still are detained because of the Defiance Campaign, and actually defying the NRM Regime. That is just bickering sad and mediocre actions from the central leadership. They didn’t regain anything; they didn’t win anything and with taking the positions in Parliament, only lost…

After the knowledge of how little NRM plays a fair game, how it eats all parts of society and takes everything for itself, why validate the rigged election and now yet again look like a fish out of water?

They can’t be both winners with defiance and also losers with compliance, which is math that doesn’t add up. You can’t be both working against a Police State and being parts of it at the same time. You can’t hire certain MPs and use them as pawns and think that people will like it.

Mugisha Muntu 23.01.2016 Hoima District

The FDC should be defiant against the meager offer of silver. Said “No” give it UFA, DP or UPC. UPC should have had it, they are a Museveni branch anyway, and they are working hand in hand in harmony, something that FDC should not do. They should stand on the point that they won the election and deserves to be compensated and get justice. Not stand nodding heads to the NRM and say “Yes we do, Sir!” This is happening while Museveni is using the Police and SFC to detain the FDC to silence them and crashing them. For the Museveni, this is perfect for him, and worse for Besigye who are lost nearly alone in Luzira, while his party said “Yes” to tainted silver. Hope that silver saves you, because you gave way to Museveni and NRM Regime by doing so, instead of standing on the barricades and actually weaken his force, day after day, and make him more and more dishonest. Make him more and more paranoid as he would do what he could to silence you and the actions would tarnish him, more and more. Now he can get away with all the nonsense and Badru M. Kiggundu can say: “I was sort of right” since the FDC gave-up. Peace.

Opinion: What will the Silent Mbabazi do?

MbabaziTDA110915P1

There was once upon a time a lot of fuzz around this one politician, as he even at one point tried to become the Presidential Candidate in the National Resistance Movement, even when Museveni is still breathing; he tried to take over the NRM as a Secretary General and as a Prime Minister in the cabinet under Museveni. With that trying he was deflected and demoted from his positions and Dr. Ruhakana Ruganda, his childhood fried as the PM and Justine Kasule Lumumba as the Secretary General of the NRM.

So he seemed at that point to be lost with scarecrows and dustbins, as one of many men that the Museveni have left astray and left to dwindle. Even as he was demoted and had a ruckus internally in the NRM before the pre-election period of the General Election 2016, which led to his fall.

Mbabazi

Now that his PM cars have been taken in, surely his pay has been cut off and other fees and Parliamentary bonuses are gone. While he surely have some money from the embezzlement projects of the past, as he has been on list of the most corrupt Ugandans year after year, it isn’t a secret, it is a fact. And the reason why he hasn’t been taken in or gotten trouble in court was because of his close ties to Museveni and the rest of the elite who also happen to eat of the plate where he was having a bargain.

The last big blow and act of his Presidential Candidacy was the Election Petition in Supreme Court as FDC was blocked with helicopter, besieged and even detained. While Mbabazi where house-arrested, but he had enough lawyers to hire so they; the government couldn’t monitor them all as they we’re busy putting in the hourly pay for the guards at Kasangati. So Mbabazi we’re able through his lawyers to deliver the petition 15 minutes after the deadline time. Even if the affidavit and witnesses disappeared like banana-flies and the nurture of yet another term for Museveni.

TDA Kizza Besigye 261015

Mbabazi was able to collect the smaller parties and certain endorsements early in the campaign, like Otunnu and Mao, but they didn’t have their whole parties behind them, as the Opposition either we’re accommodating Museveni as UPC or parts DP did the same; while the Central leaders like Otunnu and Mao risked their own political capital in the former NRM Cadre. The Democratic Alliance had other smaller parties, but they did not have an impact as they wished to have. Especially when the FDC pulled out and Besigye felt he was the strongest Presidential Candidate besides Museveni, which was true.

With all of that in mind, as he has played his cards and is left on the table, he is not in parliament and will not be a Politician. He might be able to live on interest as he should have been able to fill his coffers in the years in the NRM elite. Still the Go-Forward Organization is either something he plans to build-on or if not, he has to forge new ways to reach the potential he seemed to have out of the gate.

Museveni Mbabazi

Now he is in a pickle and in a blurred line where he has to decide, is his principals or is his own political life important; does he want to be outsider and opposition? Or does he want to be a loyal NRM cadre under Museveni? If you are in the NRM you have to be loyal to the vision of Museveni and nothing else, something he expect of the whole country, but trust me; he is not only man with a vision in Uganda. If there we’re so there wouldn’t be any businesses and ideas in Uganda, as entrepreneurial as the Ugandans can be; that is cannot true, Mzee.

Let be clear he can now either go the way of Mr. Mahogany, who after joining in the TDA went crawling back with broken heart and kissed the ring of Museveni; while doing so he would get a position on the NRM National Executive Committee as he is a “historical” in some points. If not he have to go the way of Besigye and create a strong opposition party with members and supporters allover. The last part is hard work and takes dedication. As if he does the latter… and if the Museveni would let him come, as I am sure he does, as he forgives, but never gives them the space and opportunity they had in past.

Besigye Nakawa 18.05.2016

The last piece of political play he did was to offer Besigye lawyers for his sham trial in Moroto now in May, but he did not take the offer for special lawyers for his quick trial in (Nakawa Magistrate Court) Kampala before he was driven back to Luzira. Certainly he still tries to play a role in the Opposition, but does not have a platform or the reach that others who have danced in the wilderness for longer time.

That Mbabazi have hard days ahead as he is not naturally in the headlines, he is not in the NRM Elite, not a direct part of the FDC wrangles with the vote rigging, though surely his numbers we’re duped too. Still, he have been more silent and not made himself an opposition figure. Joseph Mabirizi has done more to take a stance against the whole shenanigans. Mbabazi went to court with his petition and after that been very silent. He tried in waiting period of collecting evidence to travel to Kasangati, but was sent back to his home and house-arrest. Little have been done since, just utter Silence…

The Silent Mbabazi, not the ones in the headlines, not the one with the answers and intelligence of the NRM, and why is he like this, is he worried? Is he unsecure of his future? Does the knowing that he either has to build on rocks and not on already fertile land scare him? He has been used to drive in sponge in the waters of others and drain the gold out of it. Now he can’t as he is alone leader of Go-Forward, and if it is more than a fluke and real organization, he has to invest and start to use loyal supporters and build his party. If not go back on his knees and kiss the ring of Museveni.

What will the silent Mbabazi do? Peace.

Elton Joseph Mabirizi Statement: “People think of tomorrow, more than today” (25.05.2016)

UGDebate2016 P4 Mabarizi

Friends,

When I stood for President, I was fully aware that I would not win in 2016.

My purpose was to put my most heartfelt concerns forward, to a national audience. And to encourage a new kind of political group of people who don’t follow blindly, but reason everything out before they can decide on a course of action.

People who put Uganda First. Who hate corruption, nepotism (which is a form of corruption) and who detest injustice.

People think of tomorrow, more than today.

People who fear no one on earth, but fear only the living God. In that way, therefore, who are not afraid of the consequences of opposing bad leadership.

If you belong to that group of people, we are family.

And together we shall change this nation from the backward empire of corruption and abuser of human rights to a truly prosperous corruption free country where all people are equal before the law.

For God and my Country.

(Written by Elton Joseph Mabarizi, 25.05.2016)

Opinion: FDC must not destroy itself with a shadow cabinet in Parliament; they must continue the liberation struggle as Besigye are lingering in Luzira!

FDC NEC

There are rules and regulations as the 10th Parliament are starting the Forum for Democratic Change National Executive Committee had talks and a meeting where the FDC top management was certainly discussing its policies and who to challenge for the shadow government, as much as it is to become the Leader of the Opposition (LOP) in the Parliament.

But with the Intimidation, with the detainees, with the Police Force monitoring the Party and the members lingering in prisons and at police post, all the forged up charges against members and leader of party; while still the defiance campaign have been made illegal, but good news to hear that the Forum for Democratic Change Headquarters are not besieged and a crime scene anymore.

Prof Byra - Election Rally 091115 P2

The FDC have to make smart and wise decisions, not the ones of Professor Baryamureeba who recently wanted the FDC to be loyal to the Parliament and change tune to make it possible for NRM and the regime to work without fuzz and create havoc. Well, the FDC should not follow men who are loyal to NRM and Museveni, as they are not supposed to follow that party-line as they have already standing legal issues and other aspects of being intimidated and harassing members, even torture of FDC leaders. That should worry the leadership and not silencing them, because that is all that the NRM Regime has right now.

FDC had the votes and the real crowds during the pre-election period and on Election Day for a change of guard and wishing to usher in Dr. Kizza Besigye. That was there, but the Electoral Commission and other forces have done whatever needed to rig and destroy proof of conspiracy of the electoral rigging and sham election. That even now after the EU and other Western Powers accepts, even if they know this.

Nandala-Mafabi-hon

That certain hardliners will claim that the ones in Parliament from the FDC that goes into the Shadow Government are traitors are understandable, even if they are not so, as in fact they are just doing a duty that are bound by the rules of Parliament. Still, they should have defied this and stay loyal to the President who are detained instead of thinking of their pockets and honors in the chambers; at the same time we cannot expect all lines of a party be such Nobel as the hardest wishes for change that are in the FDC. I am sure that certain parts of the ANC was not happy that after the releasing of Nelson Mandela from prison back in the day, that he went and still negotiated with the ruling regime and the last part of the minority rule in South Africa. I am certain that some of his close allies hated that he did so, but that mended the fences between the old and new, so South Africa had some sorts of softer landing after the election after years of struggle against the Apartheid regime.

Akena M7

Why I am saying this, is because the same will initially happen with certain members of FDC and certain opposition fractions, not talking about the UPC, most of them have already sold the party to National Resistance Movement, after the agreement between Hon. Akena and Museveni. That certain Democratic Party members are also in tail with the NRM are to be seen and should not flabbergast anybody, that independent candidates and MPs are naturally for MPs after this elections, as the independent are often NRM Primaries losers, who run again on their own ticket and was even facilitated by Museveni and the State House.

The FDC should be wise now and not self-destruct as the intimidation and the aggression have been so high. That certain member’s wants glory in parliament is to be understandable, as some wants to eat and are clinging on the Regime and the rules of Parliament instead of direct hardline loyalty!

NABILLAH SEMPALA Traitor

There will be the ones who are more ideological for the struggle against the aggressor and the ones who eat of the state and take it for it is own gain, not-so-honorable Museveni and his elite. The Police Force are following the FDC and are looking for the men and woman they also can control, as the NRM wants to own the country and have everybody under line and the vision of Museveni. That is known, so if there moles and un-loyal people in the FDC, that should be expected. But we should not quickly drag the FDC who are fighting for the LOP or Shadow Cabinet position as they want to have a position in Parliament and have name in print. People are vain; politicians are even vainer and have more vanity as they want glory and capital.

The FDC should ask them what they want to be, as if they want to recognize the “Elected” Parliament and the “Elected” President. As the members and loyal supporters should ask if they want accept business as usual as they know with that, that the stakes of fortunes of crude oil and other resources will not benefit the Ugandan State, instead the Museveni Elite.

Besigye Kampala 11.05.2016 P4

What would be interesting is how Dr. Kizza Besigye would take the persons and feel about the men and woman who accept a shadow government position since he is risking everything; while certain allies of him is in a way showing credibility like EU delegates after the walkout of the Swearing-In. The non-sense of attacking them directly and self-destruction is not advisory; it is more of the long-term process of knowing who is really wanting the democratic change and who wanted quickly to earn bucks on the Political Capital that a man of the stature of Besigye.

That is an important to ask, as the people who votes for a candidate and the ones that candidate endorse, together with the loyalty of party-line and the initially wish of actually making a difference. That is what the FDC have to ask as they, have been through wind and fire during the recent months and days. The Police Force and Army have attacked together with the Judiciary have used all methods to silence and all kind of types of aggression to bring the FDC to their knees. No questions as even FDC leaders been taken without warrants from their own homes into cars and driven from Kampala to Northern towns of Gulu/Lira and so on, in safe-houses to be tortured.

FDC Arrests April 2016

With that in mind, the FDC have to ask how much and who will stand by and be the ones that want to collaborate with the Regime that does that to fellow brothers and sisters. That the regime has uses tear-gas and guns against citizens, and the ones that arrest demonstrators instead of letting them demonstrate against the regime peacefully, something they should not be allowed to do. Therefore the questions are open and should be asked. What kind of party does FDC want to be? Certainly not sell their soul and party as Hon. Akena did during the Pre-Election Period. Since their “Presidential Candidate” and the ones Sworn-In before the Treason Charge is lingering now in Luzira, while the FDC NEC is playing shadows games that Museveni will enjoy.

The only one winning on the political inner-battle is not Besigye, is not the voters who voted for Besigye and the FDC. The ones that wins on internal battle of the Party is the NRM and their Museveni. Just as he did with UPC between Akena and Otunnu, as he has earned on the weakness of DP and their leaders endorsement of Mbabazi, Hon. Mao. There are too many Opposition parties and leaders who haven’t matched the Machiavellian and Orwellian leader of Museveni. Only one seems to have the stamina and diligence and that is Besigye. He is not totally perfect, he is human and has his weakness, still all his hardliner and ethical standpoints are there and components are there now and he seems to be the only one. As he have fought and fought ever since leaving the NRM.

Legitimacy slide

Now is the time for FDC to decide on ONE primary question; either they are legitimizing the NRM and Museveni with his 10th Parliament with his selected candidates; if not doing so, they should defy the Parliament and the rules; show that they are really the ones who have the legitimacy of the people and does not need the stolen government funds that Museveni will spoil to the ones who are dancing to his tune. Peace.
