Opinion: Bobi Wine retaliated with swagger against Mzee [and I will look into ‘Point 3. We Kill Our Supporters in Order to Blame Government’]

Today, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine dropped an articulated response. A 7 point piece not only defending himself, but addressing the matters of responses to the blogging and retorts made by the President. Which has been directed both at fellow cadre Francis Zaake, but also on hot topics. Which I have addressed on my page.

I will today look on a ridiculous claim by the President, which Bobi Wine addresses with sense. He retorts in a manner more people should do. He is going straight to the heart. Not sure, the President is used to this. He should be though, because with age and his history lessons. The man should know that everyone isn’t eating of his hands anymore. Only his paid-off cronies and token friends are doing so. The rest fears the army and the law enforcement. They don’t want to be violated for being civilians and possible dissidents.

So, I will take the vital pieces of the Point 3 from Bobi Wine’s piece and then discuss it underneath. Something I have done several of times with Mzee and now it’s Bobi Wine’s turn.

There are always low moments in every politician’s career, but it is regrettable that the man who presides over our country has no limits on how low he can descend. I wonder how you sleep soundly at night! I wonder how you can extra-judicially kill our people, and then turn up with a straight face blaming their death on the glorious forces of change” (Bobi Wine, 06.09.2020).

This is really showing no remorse and he shouldn’t either. The way he address it is really unleashing a disgust, as the liberator turned tormentor is using the death of oppositions as a tool and dancing on their graves. The President continues to claim he came with fundamental change, but the pattern of actions from the government isn’t so. The government still kill civilians without consequences and this from a government that was supposed to liberate from similar past governments. This is why the usage of them in the manner the President is disgusting and horrific. Instead of getting justice for their lives, he betrays them even in their deaths. Because that saves his cause, which is to stay in power.

Now General Museveni is telling the nation that we have killed all these people in order to put the blame on his regime of blood and national shame! We are told by scripture that God does not sleep nor slumber. The blood of these innocent brothers and sisters cries from the ground. One day, they will get justice. When your friend Omar el-Bashir was butchering the people of Darfur, (the very same way you butchered our people in Northern Uganda, Kasese, etc), he thought of himself as all powerful and invincible. Today, he must be wondering what went wrong. The arm of justice may take so long, but it eventually catches up with those who commit atrocities and think of themselves as too wise and highly exalted. To draw the parallels for your ease of reference, only in April 2015, Omar el-Bashir had organized a sham election, in which his own version of Byabakama awarded him a sweeping 94.05% of the vote. Today, he is in a cold cage, perhaps wishing he had read the signs. I don’t want to remind you of your other friends Gaddafi, Mubarak, Mugabe, Campoare and the rest. Rest assured, you will end up on the dustbin of history, like all those who came before you. The tragedy is that no dictator ever learns from the fate of the other!” (Bobi Wine, 06.09.2020).

This here is a stern warning, a warning that Bobi Wine will say in vein. A person and a ego like Museveni will not listen to him. People warned that he would be a President for Life before the abolishment of Term Limits. Still, the man promised to retire. This man only listens to himself. Even if the warning is poignant and justified. Bobi Wine speaks the voice of the ones the hurt, killed and detained for the cause. He really does here and also shows what has happen to others who has reigned like Museveni did. Their legacy, their reign and their power, when it ends. All their glory, all their bullets and everything will be lost.

Yes, in the moment of power, in the hour of strength, a man like Bobi Wine isn’t dangerous for a man like Museveni. However, when the pendulum turns. The time is up and someone’s else’s turn. Then Museveni has to pray for mercy for his ills. The actions made and the enemies created. He has to beg them for salvation and mercy from his fate. He put through punishment, atrocities and misuse of power. That is all ills he needs to answer for.

That Museveni doesn’t learn from that. Only shows how the power corrupt. This man knows, he knew the ills of the continent and the problems of Africa. Still, he repeats them, uses them and trust upon the same thing towards the ones he is proud to have overthrown like Mobutu and Habyarimana.

Museveni knows all of this, but still uses this rhetoric against People Power and the National Unity Platform. That is the sort of man Museveni. A man who knows, but ignores this knowledge. Because, it isn’t beneficial and keeps him in power. Also, enrich his family and his associates. Bobi Wine is speaking the truth, but it will only be heard by the choir. It will not be approved by the men and woman who needs it the most. The ones who is eating of the plate of the President. Peace.

Muwanda & Co. Advocates: Electoral Commission fails, refuses & has ignored my formal request to avail nomination (academic) papers of Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the NRM Nomination Candidate in 2016 Presidential Elections (04.09.2020)

Opinion: Why isn’t Museveni’s Credentials released?

Lawyer Muwadda Nkunyingi petitioned the Electoral Commission on the 21st August 2020 to get the credentials and the academic documents of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. This was a retaliation and a mission of showing the true colours of the Presidency. As they have gone after the same for the newcomer Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

Alas, the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) was very quick with releasing the document of Bobi Wine. The Electoral Commission wasn’t hard to ask either. They both served the lawyer who petitioned for that.

However, we are now on the 2nd September 2020. Long after the petition of Nkunyingi was released. It has gone 13 days and close too two weeks. That is how long it takes to get the proof of the credentials of the President.

This man has run for office steadily since 1996. If someone should have everything in check and order. It is the man who has spent all life in office. The man who has used all time since he worked as an operative in the 1970s to become a rebel and end up as the Head of State.

If someone should have all the ducks in the row. It should be a man like this. He should have copies upon copies. He should have all the books. All the proof in the world. From his birth-certificate, baptism date and when he lost his first tooth. Because, everything he has done should have been dissected by someone already.

President Museveni should have applications forms to the studies in Dar Es Salaam. The man should have the copies of the bachelors degree and have all the other papers. Because, this man has undermined and questioned everyone else. If his sincere about something. It should be his own track-record.

Alas, that cannot be true. As he has changed birthdays, even years of birth. We can wonder if he has changed place of origin too. This man has changed to the times. Museveni must surely get all his good bookies, bureaucrats and clerks to drop knowledge as we speak. Since, they need to make a perfect combination of education and compared to his birthday. If these documents ever get released.

As the President and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) hope the calls for it dies down. He haven’t seen the need to drop this before and why should he be transparent now? That is just for his enemies and his dissidents. Not for himself. His holier than thou. The President is the closest you get to God and therefore, his majesty is someone you shouldn’t dare to question.

Still, one or two lawyers have petitioned it. They have dared to ask. As it should be easy for the Electoral Commission and the UNEB to drop it and reveal the facts. However, the longer it takes. The more we know, they are either hiding something or they revising it. Since, it needs to fit a story, which the President has told of late. He has to alter reality again to be sure of his age.

That is why lies catch up to you, eventually. Especially, if you are living on ones. They will come to life and will spit right in your face. You dared to live on it and now you have to face the consequences. Peace.

Opinion: Bobi Wine stood tall today

When in doubt… shed light on the matter, add some context and use your microphone to the wind. So, that no one can judge or misunderstand where you come from. Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine did that today. With his press conference and his statement.

Bobi Wine knows symbolism and knows the hardships of his predecessors. That he proved today with where he came from. He didn’t act out of character, but instead showed both humility and savvy political game. That is the sort of game, that even the worst propaganda spinners cannot create a crisis out of. Because there is none.

The People Power leader and Presidential Contender is proving his worth. His party is mobilizing new offices across the Republic. New candidates are being promoted and grassroot actions are done as well. Even as there are rumours of splitting factions and that the newly minted DP MPs are even bailing out. If they do, then they are meal-card politicians who are only in it for a secure seat and not for any pragmatic reasons. Since, it was so easy to jump and so frictionlessly to do it again.

Alas, Bobi Wine still in the midst of that. Shows courage and attitude. That he will not be defeated and not be mocked by a lawyer or anyone else. They are trying to sow doubt and look like a fool. Like a trickster and forgery. So, that he has to drop out, because his credentials are fake and his background is shady.

That is why the truest NRM mobilizers on Social Media just call him the “Weedman”, because of his roots and what he did in his youth. Not like anyone has taken to many drinks, hooked up on random and not searched where they shouldn’t search. A true human being do by default and do mistakes. A true man and woman do act to nature and have regrets too. That is part of life.

Bobi Wine sure has his regrets, has his mistakes and his misfortune. Who hasn’t?

That’s why these attacks and these arranged plots to sow doubt was so clear as day. They are just trying to undermine him. Because, Bobi Wine is the front-runner of the opposition. The one aspiring and the one who has to carry the struggle. His the man who are trying yet again to topple a President with peaceful means.

Bobi Wine should know that everything he has done. All the stories, all his businesses and records. Every single piece of life will be put to the test. Not just his birthday, his education, love-life and whatnot. All will be scanned to public to see. If he was a star and celebrity before. Now, as the main contender against the President for Life.

He must stand tall like today… take all the blame and the hurt. Show humility and be brave. He got too. If he wants this mantle and this title. He needs too do this. There is no other way out. The man has to go through wind and fire. There will be storms, hurricanes and hell-fire. He will be dancing with the devil and trying to rock the crowds with the choirs of saints in heaven. There will be a little of everything.

Bobi Wine will not rest. He cannot rest. There will be nothing of the sorts. All tests, inquires and stories will be ballooned into the stratosphere. There will be no safe journey and “go-to-gate”. No, only a one way ticket to the unknown.

This was a personal test for Bobi Wine and he took it. He carried it and made people proud. Peace.

Opinion: Bobi Wine’s age is a side-show…

That lawyer Male Mabiirizi have dug into the Educational Document of Presidential Contender Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is fine and dandy. However, the aftermath and the issues are coming up because of it is not.

People are rallying and attacking Bobi Wine. Without thinking that documents might be forged. That the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) might have given the lawyer fake documents and claimed them as real. As the People Power leader and the Party President of National Unity Platform is getting into a heap of trouble.

What is really touching here… is that the President Museveni himself have different dates on official records. He has a different birth-date on the wedding certificate compared to the birth certificate of his son Muhoozi.

With that in mind, Mabiriizi should also be concerned about the right dates and if His Excellency haven’t forged his documents back in the day. As these documents have been out and is known. However, he is so focused on Bobi Wine. Forgetting all manners and ethics. Throwing stones and without questioning UNEB.

Because, it could be reasons for UNEB to suddenly switch birthdate and year on Bobi Wine. Instead of the date he used for the 2017 Kyadondo East By-Election. Alas, if he had faked that, shouldn’t they have dismissed him then and stopped the possible candidacy back then?

The Electoral Commission who is in-charge have really not done their job and verified his candidacy in 2017. If it was wrong back then. It is just mere three years ago and life shouldn’t change that quickly.

What is striking too. Is that the ones focused on this is missing the mark. They are part of a side-show. Yes, a leader should be ethical and be righteous… nevertheless, there might be more to win by the authorities to claim him as a unethical and liar to them. Have people considered that?

However, a President like Museveni and his handlers should look into the old documents, which claims different ages of him. Though, there is utter silence about this. He is allowed to lie and make propaganda.

Bobi Wine have to be a saint… He has to be a angel. Yes, there is nothing wrong to look into the educational papers of a leader. That is fine and dandy. You should also question the reasons for the state to suddenly drop various of birthdates for a man. To sow doubt and questions his morals. Alas, why don’t you do the same for the President too? Or is that only for Bobi Wine?

If you are angered about Bobi Wine and not questions the reasons for UNEB dropping it like this. Why are you not angered about the possible deception of the President? Who has done this for years and tried to deflect it with a passion.

This is why its a side-show… it is fitting piece of nonsense. To vilify an opposition candidate. While the NRM can go on like nothing happen. Peace.

Mzee celebrates mediocrity ahead of 2021…

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni knows there is no real challenge ahead of 2021. The General Election of 2021 is rigged and fixed. Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine knows this. The Self-Styled President for Life will not accept a loss or losing. That is why he will use all means to do so. We all know this. The election results of 2021 was written in stone and was secured with fatal bullets in the mid-80s. That is the mere reality.

So, Museveni can come with a quick comment, but it shows his true face:

Whether Ugandans want Bobi Wine or “Bosco” (I am made to understand that means Museveni), that is a matter that will be settled early next year. However, recently we had semi-finals in the form of elections of the disabled, the elderly and the youth. Who won the matches in the 3 matches?

Bosco won without too much preparation. I am looking forward to the finals. Greetings to your foreign backers who fear a strong Uganda. Too bad for them” (Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 28.08.2020):

We clearly see his message. He celebrates victories on the special elections. It is every rich to celebrate victory over Bobi Wine who has only had months to prepare a party and run candidates. The NRM is the state and has fielded easily candidates everywhere. Often unopposed and sole-candidates like in all elections. The President is celebrating mediocrity, when he screams of joy and celebrate this.

He says without much preparations? Seriously? There was well planned party structure for so long. The NRM knows this and the population knows too. The Electoral Commission and everyone else knows this. It is just a mockery to act like it was done on a whim.

That he looks forward to the “finals” is to be expected. He knows his winning. The President is winning, not because of policy, manifesto or achievements, but because he got the public at gun-point. His awaiting the rigging and misuse of power to linger in office for life.

It’s funny that the President pushes the ideals of foreign backers for Bobi Wine. The President wouldn’t have a long lasting time in office, if foreign backers didn’t offer grants, aid or donations to his government. His army and government institutions needs foreign funding to run. The President can act like a foreign lawyer is a foreign backer. However, the NRM and the President … wouldn’t be what it is … if it wasn’t for money from elsewhere.

President Museveni can act a fool, but his only a dummy for doing so. He can cheer for the mediocrity, but that doesn’t make it great. Peace.

Opinion: Bobi Wine have a long way to victory

It is a reason why 4 times candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye is a Plan B ahead of the 2021 elections. That is because Besigye knows, Museveni knows and everyone else  knows the score. The cards of the deck is already stacked against Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Whatever way through the polls will not work. It is just going through the motions and doing what everyone before he has done.

Bobi Wine does what Ssessemogerere have done, what Besigye have done, what Otunnu have done and what Mao did once. They have all gone through this, but they will enter this game empty handed. Bobi Wine has similar swagger and popularity as Besigye had ahead of 2016 and in 2011. However, that didn’t amount to much. Why?

The President and his team will rig the living hell out of it. The nomination as Presidential Flag-Bearer of NUP was a formality. Another milestone, but not a victory march. The incumbent will become the winner again. Not because of his popularity, his policies or his track-record. No, because the whole system is built to let him win by all means. Have the majority everywhere it means something. Ensure his people get appointed and the self-serving regime continues.

That is why a speech and message like this from Bobi Wine is sort of pointless:

Today, I feel very humbled for having been successfully nominated to carry the flag for the National Unity Platform for the position of President of Uganda in the upcoming election. Since nominations closed without another candidate expressing interest, I am delighted by the confidence placed in me by all of you distinguished Members of NUP. As I did pledge, I am confident that I will not disappoint you. We shall bring the crown of victory, by the grace of God. While today is a day to celebrate, it places before us all a challenge to renew our commitment to the struggle and begin working tooth and nail to conclude this mission. We know that the challenges that lie ahead of us are enormous. The regime is getting more vicious and desperate. They are determined to do anything and everything to keep themselves in power against the will of the people. But we must be stronger and more determined to overcome any challenges and redeem our country. Victory is in sight ladies and gentlemen. Let’s get to work” (Robert Kyagulanyi, 21.08.2020).

It is nice he shows humility, but this was expected and was the only natural position. This wasn’t for Zaake or anyone else. The Presidential Flag-Bearer was for him and him only. The crown of victory will not come through the polls.

Bobi Wine has a strong spirit and has a vision for the future. Wants to be a symbol and a liberator from the dictatorship. That is all fine, but his just going through the motions like everyone has done since 1996. There is no difference here and every 5 years, there been someone promising to beat the NRM.

It has been someone who has come up and shown some flex. Been able to gain some supporters and risen to the occasion, but hasn’t stopped the regime from using force or excessive rigging. They have come on top by using all means and ensured the state continues the status quo.

With that in mind, Bobi Wine better configure something else. Especially if he want to win. He will not win in the polls. The results are already in the negative. He will loose. It is just a matter of how much and the NRM apologists will claim he doesn’t have the organization, the support in rural districts of Karamoja and Acholi. That he doesn’t have support of the people in Rwenzori. Also, that they don’t know about him around Mount Elgon. There will always be something.

Therefore, the ideals of Bobi Wine is good and his determination is positive. However, if he runs like everyone before him. Then he will go nowhere. Yes, he has built a party and a movement. But that alone isn’t enough and Bobi Wine should know that.

Unless, he just want to continue this election cycle and become the leader of the opposition in the 11th Parliament. Peace.

Opinion: Is Bobi Wine’s 5 Point Programme a revitalized 10 Point Programme?

We are now in 2020 and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is a rising star. His popularity is rising. To say otherwise is naive. The National Unity Platform (NUP) and the People Power Movement has a new grand stand. However, is he using the same formula as his arch-enemy and dictator, President Museveni?

I have looked through the Ten Point Programme twice and can easily say that President Museveni and National Resistance Movement (NRM) never finished it. They promised something huge and compact. However, they implemented a few, but lost their aim on several of the points. Nevertheless, the President and his cronies will say its the launching pad and there been other plans to follow it up. Still, the legacy of President has been depleted, because he gave way for his opening pledges in the 10 point programme. Will Bobi Wine’s do the same?

Bobi Wine’s 5 Points:

    1. Restoration of true Democracy, Rule of law and Human rights.
    2. Revival of the Health system.
    3. Revival of the Education system.
    4. Agricultural revival, land and natural resource management.
    5. National reconciliation and Unity.

Museveni’s 10 Points:

1. Democracy.

2. Security.

3. Consolidation of National security and elimination of all forms of sectarianism.

4. Defending and consolidating National Independence.

5. Building an independent, integrated and self-sustaining national economy.

6. Restoration and improvement of Social services and the rehabilitation of the war-ravaged areas. 7. Elimination of corruption and misuse of power.

8. Redressing errors that have resulted in the dislocation of sections of the population and improvement of others.

9. Co-operation with other African countries in defending human and democratic rights of our brothers in other parts of Africa.

10. Following an economic strategy of mixed economy.

If you look through the plans on just the headlines. You can see they are similar. They got the same sort of objectives. They are about the state, citizens and the liberties of them all. It’s about ensuring freedom, liberty and justice for all citizens. Also ensuring the basic functions and government functions are there to serve the citizens. This is all similar between them.

That is why the Bobi Wine’s 5 Points is a revised 10 Point Plan. It has the same sort of structure and has similar objectives. It is really weird that after 34 years power. The new rising star and the biggest challenger is re-issuing a revitalized programme, which you came into power with. That shows also how Museveni has failed. Why do I say that?

If someone is looking into the same issues 30 years later and see those as undone. Than, you know you have failed in office. That Bobi Wine are having similarities to Museveni here. It is not strange, as Museveni have become a full fledged tyrant and using the armed forces at his whim. That is why, Bobi Wine has to fight the same struggle as Museveni did in 1980s. Maybe, Bobi Wine isn’t in the bush, but the way the he will fight a rigged election and law enforcement. That will be in the same veins. Where Museveni is using the tricks of the ones he overthrew back-in-the-day.

This is why its sad we are in 2020 and Bobi Wine deems it fit for a revitalized 10 Point Programme, which he has coined the 5 Point Programme. Peace.

Memo to Museveni: Its not a level playing-field in campaign season..

I would address one subcounty and bring delegates from the other remaining three to address them. So, I would not reach all my people. But you can reach more people on radio when the Electoral Commission (EC) allocates politicians time, especially in the evening when people are at home”Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (Chris Kiwawulo – ‘Museveni speaks out on opening schools’ 16.08.2020).

President for Life, the Eternal Prince and the Don of the Republic, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni can act like its a democratic playing-field, where everyone can act accordingly and have their say. However, that is far from the truth. His people can do whatever and they are allowed to breech presidential directives and campaign guidelines from the Electoral Commission. Heck, himself doesn’t have to abide to it either. It’s all fair game and they will be ensured the victory in the end.

His Excellency can act like its an good idea to be on the radio. The President can say there will be delegated time-slots and opportunity for all candidates to be on-air. However, the issue is that the broadcasters, the editors and the owners are holding control over these. There are stations owned by relics, historicals and backers of the Movement. Will these open up the air for Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine or someone swinging for the FDC ?

Like we are supposed to forget there has been initiated two specialized units, one for media control and one for population control. Where one is part of the army and the other police force. Both will in general be used to disperse and arrest opposition candidates and their supporters. To think otherwise is to foolish at this point.

President Museveni can think we are all stupid. That we are all dumb and don’t know his ways. Not like he have opened the floodgates and given way to the opposition. It is not like they can run on any narrow street and spread their gospel. No, they have to get a nudge from the authorities, they have to secure a venue and then pray to the Gods that the authorities actually let them.

So, when they struggle so hard to do party politics outside their headquarters. You can wonder, if the President would have been able to walk so proud and with high regard. If he had to go through what the opposition does on his watch. The old man with the hat clearly doesn’t see the ills of his ways. The way his destroying the political sphere only for short-sighted personal gains.

The President is winning this election. Just like he has done with all the other elections. Not because of his popularity or his standing in the public. No, his winning because he has the guns and the loyalty among the authorities. The men he feeds and appoints serves him. However, when these rented men betrays him. At that point he will loose it all.

At this very moment. The opposition struggles to have a voice. Within the small space they have. They are trying to reach the public, use the digital means, while the Movement can campaign like usual. Clearly, there is a mixed bag of approach to the guidelines. One for the NRM and another for the rest.

The President knows this as well, but will act differently. That’s why he takes us for fools. That we are so dumb and doesn’t understand his vision. However, his vision is blurred, his foresight isn’t that clever and at one point of time. He will understand his failure, but he will not profess it. Because, that means he has to redeem his soul and his conscience. Two things he sold a long time ago for the golden opportunity to stay in power for life. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni can sleepwalk into the elections [as the opposition only aim at their own]

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) who are not caring about the guidelines or the regulations for COVID-19 or Coronavirus. Who are busy scheduling all activities ahead of the General Elections of 2021. also settling the final flag-bearers of the party. Which sometimes are the same-old, same-old and dozens of sole candidates. The NRM looks solid ahead of the elections.

At this point, as the President Museveni is busy preparing for this 8th Term since 1986. The man, the legend, the dictator and the President for Life. The supposed Fountain of Honour and His Excellency can just sleep. He can be lazy, he can squander around and even have a few scandals on his hands.

The opposition are busy scheming tearing each other apart. The Uganda People’s Congress is the NRM-Light at this point. The big-man Akena and his wife is both in the sphere of the President. They have traded perks and agreement with the NRM .The UPC is only viable in small pockets and doesn’t have the organization nor trust in the public. Because of the trade-off that Akena, Son-of-Obote did in the last election cycle.

Democratic Party have been raided, taken by everyone. Norbert Mao should by crying at home this weekend. The day of betrayal was this week and he lost his MPs. He got none of the big-men and the party is weakened. There is little left and the promise in the months ahead can’t be much. Not like they can muster such voices and cadres over night. To take the space, which these MPs left.

Forum for Democratic Change are also weakened, also many questions about where they are turning. The ghost of Besigye. While Lukwago only created questions of protocol and validity of the nomination process. No matter what it does, it has lost plenty of the faction belonging to Muntu. The pragmatic part of the FDC has left and the defiance of Besigye lingers on. We can wonder what it will do and how it will become the biggest opposition party again. It needs to show flex and muscle ahead. Needs to drop heavy hitters of flag-bearers and show it isn’t just a punchline.

One of the newcomers, who has shown new strength is Muntu and his Alliance of National Transformation (ANT). Most of this has come by weakening the FDC. The ones who was supporters and allies of Muntu is the ones that left the FDC. There are very few independents who has come, except for Kassiano Wadri. Who is also a former FDC, but had left the party already. Muntu got some good people around him, but he seems like his trying to do the same thing he always does. Saying the right things, but not really challenging status quo.

The second newcomer is the People Power Movement and the National Unity Platform. Where Bobi Wine have really scored big and creating headlines. A man who is getting support from all parties and independents. He raided the DP party and gotten several of MPs standing for the NUP. Right now the momentum of the opposition is in his hands. He even got the nudge of the DP Block and the Justice forum for the Presidency. However, JEEMA will field own MPs and not do that under the NUP flag. Showing, there are a balance of sorts and there will be honest competition.

The DP is losing big, FDC is weakened and creating uncertainty, as the biggest party and the one historically challenging the President. Museveni must be giddy that the FDC is lingering like this. Instead of having a steady line and showing resilience. The up-hill battle that persist must be tiring and that’s why its showing some fatigue.

ANT and NUP are revitalized, but they are still not that big or organized like the FDC. Bobi Wine has momentum, but he needs support from everywhere to get the final push. He got friends all around, but with purges like recently in the DP: There might be fear that does happen elsewhere too.

The NRM should be joyful that the opposition looks like this. The message is distorted and the opposition is busy seeing whose deflecting and whose staying. Not to talk about finding out who is the flag-bearer and who gets the nominations. There are so much in-fighting.

There is more talk about what’s happening between the parties. The new and the old. If the old parties have the push or if they are out of steam. We can wonder ourselves. If this is all meal-ticket politics or actual battle for change.

Museveni is lucky with this. They are not pin-point at his failures, at him tanking the economy, taking up more loans and continuing his impunity in power. He can walk free of that. Only touched a small amount of time. Instead of being the target, the one people are aiming for and proving his recklessness. That is what they should do. Expose and show the intolerant and the state sponsored brutality, which is the image of this state.

Except he gets away with that. As he visits factories, radio stations and hold speeches on the regular. He walks and travels at ease like a bird. While the others are in cages and they are not even allowed to sing. Peace.
