My letter to the Jubilee Gov. after CS Nkaissery and Prof. Mulgai today outlawed “Anti-IEBC Demonstrations” and this is becoming your Achilles heel!

7th June 2016, Oslo
Dear, all of you in charge of the Kenyan Government!
This is my sincere plea from the ice-cold north of Scandinavia, where mandazi and pilau is not a thing. Well, I know that it taste splendid, but I am not writing to you because of I enjoy a good Kenyan supper and tea; I write because of today recent action.
There are amounts of questions that are raised after CS Joseph Nkaissery and Prof. Githu Mulgai today again outlawed Coalition of Reforms and Democacy (CORD) demonstrations against the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC), who seems to be a sensitive issue for the Jubilee Coalition and the JAP. That means that for you in Jubilee, the President Kenyatta and VP Ruto. You seemed to be more about you keeping the power by any means, then trying to be reasonable.

The CORD might be wrong at times, they are doing what they are doing to you; because the Okoa Referendum bills to change and amendment the constitution. At this referendum you totally gave it no chance and blew the ability and the level of groundwork that we’re done from the Opposition. That you have not given real space to Hon. Raila Odinga, Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Hon. Moses Wetan’gula.
You in the Jubilee are acting the big-men who were born to rule, and everybody else is supposed to step aside. The Achilles heel right now is the IEBC and the selected men in the leadership of it. Not because you have done wrong yourself, even with the inherited Electoral Commission and new Constitution. That are the reason and near epitome of your lawful assembly. So it is not well-established, the entities and the regulatory electoral procedures and regulation of the ballots; not to talk about what happens to the ballot after it is cast and what kind of independent tallying that exist.
You in the Jubilee are responsible for all the Kenyan Citizens and the Kenyans who does not support you and the ones who do. All Kenyans are your responsibility as you are the legislators and the ones that set the laws in Parliament; you regulate and assure the pay for all civil servants and level of security. With that comes responsibility.
A responsibility you have not honoured of late, not that the CORD demonstrators throwing stones and looting supermarkets are not correct. Henceforth does not justify the Police Officers lit up streets with flair, block streets and rally venues, use rhetoric of fear and actually beat up fellow citizens into pulp in the streets. That is not enough the Police use live bullets, kill the demonstrators or even kill by-standards as they are walking to pick-up cash in bank branch. Also when the Police Officers uses their water-canons, the devious actions of tear-gas and hitting people at random with sticks while trying to disperse the fellow citizens who actually demonstrates for the matter.

So with that in mind, as the Constitutional right for a Kenyan Citizen to go out and demonstrate in peace, without being shot, tear-gassed and even dispersed by violent behaviour and Police brutality. The Demonstrators does not have the right to loot, but when the Police uses violence and even kills, the Government and Police; should rethink that their actions spark reactions from the demonstrators, as the impunity and illegal killings, injuries and hurts of the violent police officers; doesn’t create a level of trust between the Police and the Citizens. As the Citizens already have little trust in Police Officers, as proved with their low ratings in a Poll in 2015; and with that in mind the Jubilee Government, President Kenyatta or VP Ruto together with CS Nkaissery should act a bit Nobel, instead of big-men who are ruling with impunity.
You in the Jubilee are responsible for the killings in the streets, for the vendors closing their shops and the CORD demonstrator’s aggressive reactions to the violent police. IGP Joseph Boinett should get direct guidelines and educate his fellow Anti-Riot Police also learn proper language as respectful manners as address the demonstrators, the same goes to Nairobi Police Commander Japhet Koome, who sounds like a mad dragon instead of a man who respects fellow citizens.
The CORD is not correct on all they do, neither are all their supporters, the same goes to you and your actions as in the Jubilee, you cannot just outlaw ‘demonstrations’ against the IEBC who have not cared for keeping clean sheets and accountable affairs, as their Chickengate and other activities can be question. The IEBC as long as it is in this state, will be the Achilles heel of the Jubilee, and do you want to be remembered for creating the turmoil and stalemate over ballots; and not creating peace and development in your term and reign in Power. Peace.
Best Regard

Lumumba criticises bid to extend Supreme Court judges contracts (Youtube-Clip)
“Kenya School of Law Director, Prof PLO Lumumba has criticized a bid by a section of Supreme Court judges to seek extension of their term to 74 years. He said the constitution was clear that a judge shall serve up to the age of 70 and urged those who had attained that age to retire honorably” (Daily Nation, 2016).
The partner organizations reaffirm their support to the political dialogue in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and call on all Congolese stakeholders to work towards its successful holding (06.06.2016)

NEW YORK, United States of America, June 6, 2016 – The African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU) and the International Organization of La Francophonie (IOF) are closely following the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The four organizations act under the framework of their partnership for peace and security in Africa, as well as their collective commitment to support the DRC in consolidating the achievements recorded during the last decade.
The four partner organizations underline once again the crucial importance of holding a successful political dialogue with all Congolese stakeholders leading to a consensus that would allow for free, fair, transparent and credible elections to take place in accordance with the framework of the Congolese Constitution, thus preserving peace and stability in the country and deepening the democratic process and the rule of law.
The four organizations reaffirm their full support to the facilitation efforts led by Mr. Edem Kodjo on behalf of the AU. In this context, they have agreed to set up a support group to the facilitation, which also includes representatives of the International Conference of the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC), and to mobilize the expertise and resources needed to maximize chances of achieving a successful dialogue.
The four organizations underline the primary responsibility of the government and all concerned Congolese stakeholders to maintain peace and stability in the DRC, to preserve the hard-won gains and to strengthen democracy and the rule of law. In this regard, they urge all Congolese actors to join the dialogue and extend their full cooperation to the Facilitator, recalling that he is acting within the framework of the relevant bodies of the AU and resolution 2277.
The four organizations urge the Government and all political actors in the DRC to refrain from any action that could increase tensions or lead to violence. More than ever, restraint and the spirit of responsibility are needed at this particular moment of the history of the DRC. The four partner organizations also call on the government to maintain its commitment to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of the DRC, including by releasing political prisoners; bearing in mind that the preservation of political space and fundamental freedoms enshrined in the Constitution is a necessary condition to the success of the political dialogue, an outcome to which President Kabila has expressed his utmost commitment.
FDC Letter to the 10th Parliament Speaker Hon. Kadaga – “Re: Appointment of Oppostion Leadership in the 10th Parliament (06.06.2016)

My 2 cents on this sad, sad letter from the Forum for Democratic Change National Executive Committee:
FDC NEC is fiddling while Rome burns..
Cry havoc, did you win or lose the General Election of 2016 Hon. rt. Gen. Mugisha Muntu? What point and what kind of envelope changed your mind? What is the point of the asking for International Audit, when you ask for the Leader of Opposition? Doesn’t that counter the uncertain peace that you stated after the Election Day in late February after the first siege of the FDC Headquarter, have you lost faith in ability to change the Political Landscape in Uganda? Have you given up Hon. Rt. Gen. Mugisha Muntu? Do you think this can implicate the lingering former Presidential Candidate, who sworn himself in, in presence of others in the FDC leadership in the day before President Museveni swore his oath. What will it mean to him and his case for disobedience or defying the ruling regime, when you accept with your actions and the actions of FDC NEC to take their minority and Opposition posistions in the 10th Parliament. Have you taken that into accuout, or was it all a charade from you? Peace.
Footage: Anti-IEBC protesters heading to Nairobi CBD from Kibera (06.06.2016)
Another Police Brutality and Tear-Gas Monday; as the continued demonstrations against IEBC from CORD, today!

As the re-started after a week of rest, as the Jubilee that meaning Deputy President William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta, have stopped the leadership of CORD to have real talks on the reform of Independent Boundaries Electoral Commission (IEBC). This is happening while the Supreme Court today accept the wishes of CORD and allow them to peacefully protest against the government institution, as the Kenya National Police Service under IGP Boinett ordered the ‘Demonstrations’ to stop and would stop it with ‘force’.

Something that the Kenyan Police have done, just as of late, there are three persons who was shot and killed by the Police in Kisumu, where the demonstrations where heated. Another one was hurt by bullet as well, but not reported killed in Kisumu.
From Uhuru Park:
In Nairobi the Nairobi Police Commander Japheth Koome is demanding to see “broken bones and blood on the streets”. So if the Kisumu is the one following the wishes of Koome, then then will be worse reports from Nairobi, as the roads down towards the Central Business District and the Anniversary Tower is closed from the early morning. There been putting tires on fires on roads all around the city, like on Mathare Road, Jogoo Road and so on. Certain Junior Officers of Nairobi Police have refused to follow the directive of Koome to incite violence towards the demonstrators today. The CORD plan yesterday to have another rally at the Uhuru Park, as the other parts of CBD of Nairobi have been sealed off by the Police; so there been steady movement of demonstrators in that direction. Even truck drivers around Mlolongo have strike against the IEBC and put up a massive jam in the area, as there we’re trucks at a ‘standstill’. There even been reports of the Junior Officers who didn’t want to follow orders of Koome, went to Nairobi Central Park and relaxed, instead of driving water-cannons and shooting tear-gas at demonstrators, again. While the Anti-Riot Police are as usual stationed at the Anniversary Tower, I think they should put up a Police Post there, as they can see all steady movement every-day of the week, not only Police Brutality Mondays.
“UN Nairobi Office bosses told to let staff go home early and those able to work from home to do so. Pressure felt”. Shops and schools are closed in Kibera, as he demonstrations today are we’re on the way and they wanted to be prepared, as there been violent behavior during the demonstrations in the recent demonstrations in Kibera slum.

There been peaceful demonstrations in Homa Bay Town.

There been demonstrations in Narok, Kisii, Migori, Meru and in Eldoret, but no news of violence or killings there.

You know the issues are turning to be fuzz, when the American Ambassador Godec visiting Hon. Raila Odinga and ask him to stop with the demonstrations against the IEBC; with that in mind Amb. Godec wanted CORD to stop and end the demonstrations completely, Odinga he answered that Ambassador should go and talk with Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee, not stall him, because he is the ones with the main issues on the matter.

“CORD Principals are urging all our people to converge at Uhuru Park in readiness for #IEBCMustGo peaceful demonstration. No carrying of stones or any form of weapon. They have also threatened to extend the demos to THREE days in a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)” (Cord, 06.06.2016).

The looting of two supermarkets in Kisumu is just worrying, even if the Police brutality and killings are occurring, as they are vicious and wrong; that does not justify to attack and loot businesses that are not even connected with the IEBC, that the reason for the demonstration, neither is it peaceful to be thieving, though the live bullets and tear-gas from the Police is not justified. Let that all be clear!
This here will not be silenced easily or go away as it is wished by the Jubilee, as the stalemate, the questions of the chickens, the pay-offs and the arrangement of the IEBC as they are not any requested changes that the CORD have asked for, while the blood and burning streets are not a good look for Kenya or the Jubilee Government. Peace.
