Kenya: ELOG – Press Statement on the Voting and Counting Process (09.08.2017)

Opinion: Was the IEBC Portal hacked?

Well, the National Super Alliance (NASA) and their Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga claims the IEBC Digital Counting and Results Portal has been hacked. This after the results has followed like bots friendly for the Jubilee candidate and incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta. This can now be shown by the documents leaked online. I will just show a sample of the 50 page dossier delivered online through Scribd.

Which even says the Chairman’s Chebukati profil was failing and used the wrong password. That must be bad to get the whole world to see, when in the midst of clearing the winds of possible technical breaches to your system. Your own user and your own profile was typed wrong by the Core Server Logs, that has been unleashed to the media. Wafula Chebukati has some explaining to do. Together with the possible bots. Delivering the results that isn’t verified on their portal complying with the law of following the Declaration Forms. This sort of charade is sad, when the elections been so peaceful and such a good display. Even with the concerning extra-judicial killings in the weeks before the polls. Peace.

Opinion: Starting to question the verified results of IEBC!

There are now clear problems since the results from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, who had a serious hitch last night. When the Bomas was closed-off from the journalists. This was reported that the National Talley Centre sent the journalists packing. This after a few updates of the results up to about 30% of the votes. When the Jubilee and President Uhuru Kenyatta had been leading with 300,000 votes.

Now the hours are going, and there was already yesterday differences between certain Presidential Declaration Forms 34(b) and what was on the IEBC Portal. That leaves the problems of trusting the verified results from the Electoral Commission. It is not because we don’t want to faith in the KIEMS and BVRs, that even broke down at many Polling Stations. So the results are in favor of Kenyatta right now, and not for National Super Alliance (NASA) and Raila Odinga.

It is hard to start trusting IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati, when he during the Press Conference today, after releasing and verifying 75% of the votes on their portal says: “The results on screen are not final results; final will come from forms in the 290 constituencies”. So if that is so, then the results released from yesterday is fake and a bot delivering the news that Kenyatta wants?

Musalia Mudavadi the day before sent a stern warning about possible rigging and now in the dawn after the polls, it seems true. As the questionable forms and the different results on the portal compared to many declarations forms. If the declaration forms are vital for a polling station, than they should be released together with the photocopy of the 34(a) or (b), since this is vital to trust the results verified election results.

So we cannot trust the portal, since even the IEBC boss Chebukati says so. We can just wait and wonder what will be real result out of Bomas. The IEBC most work in haste and in worry at the National Talley Centre, since they are at this limbo. They are not updating and the ones that has been updated cannot be trusted. It is not a sign of trust. Because the election has been peaceful and not any sort of demonstrations. The Kenyan public have done their civic duty in peace.

What is worrying if the rigging and the IEBC will work in favor of the ruling party Jubilee and not for the possible public will of the NASA. This will be sad and insane, that the hours are ticking and the IEBC is not acting trustworthy. We wonder if the results and verification would been different if IEBC ICT Manager Chis Msando was still breathing. But that is just allegations and conspiracy at this point.

We just have to wait and see, it is natural to be skeptical to the IEBC… especially when they are doing this and 24 hours after the polls. They should have just waited to offer and verify the Declaration Forms, instead of dropping bots numbers. Peace.

IEBC Bot working on overtime last night, aye?

Double Presidential Declaration Form 34(b) from Biashara Polling Station in Kiambu County!

This is worrying when I can get two forms from one Polling Stations. That the counting of the tally from this place seems strange and when both are online. It starts questioning of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the way the polling station counting shows, that the released numbers come from the Portal, also you can wonder if Declaration Form number 1 or number 2.

There is double results from one Polling Station on the Declaration Form 34(b), this was in the Kiambu County, in the Rurru Constituency and in the Biashara Ward.

Declaration Form 1: One of them the incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta got 485 votes, Rail Odinga got 54, Joseph William Ntahiga Nyagah got 1 vote and Mohammed Abduba Dida got 1 vote. On this form it says a total of 691 votes and a 541 counted.

Declaration Form 2: One the other form incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta got 446, Raila Odinga got 74 and Joseph William Ntahiga Nyagah 1 vote. On this form it says a total of 692 votes and a 521 counted.

This numbers differs and therefore you can question the IEBC and the Presidential race be put into question. If this is one single polling station or on bigger scale. If it is on bigger scale, then it is harder to trust the result. And after such peaceful and positive vibes at the polling stations, except for the areas with rain where people couldn’t vote. There still, has been a good overall feeling from it. Peace.

Kenya: Elections Observation Group – Opening, Set-Up of Polling and Incidents Statement (08.08.2017)

“Uhuru for Us” wants supporters to use Facebook on Election Day to campaign for Uhuru!

Uhuru Kenyatta and his team is working overtime to secure the incumbent and the Jubilee Alliance Party another term on the cost of the National Super Alliance (NASA). This can be said with the messages sent the associates this morning. A group called “Uhuru for Us” send messages on mail or SMS saying:

The title of the Message/Mail is: “Have you voted yet? Stop Raila, Save Kenya!”

Polling Stations has been open for three hours. Have you casted your ballot yet?”

Later the message says: “If you have, then tell the world that you have voted for Uhuru on Facebook. It will encourage your Facebook friends to go and vote for Uhuru’s re-election too. Raila’s team is reporting a high turnout in their strongholds”. Lastly it says: “This will likely be a very tight election. We need to get as many votes as possible. Help us build momentum for Uhuru by using your own Facebook network”.

The “Uhuru for Us” are asking for campaigning on the election day and that people themselves are using themselves as promotional tools on the final day. This for the incumbent and to make sure their majority by any means. The “Uhuru for Us” want the world see a picture of many Uhuru voters over the concern of Raila’s. So that the belief that Uhuru is winning. This is insane to do this sort of play in the last minute of the election day. However, this proves the extent of play the Jubilee and their associates do to get re-elected this time.

They could have done it with some tact and honesty, had faith in their own achievements, but clearly that is not enough. They need another PR scoop before all the ballots are cast. Peace.
