The new cabinet isn’t that sharp [Museveni’s most intriguing Minister’s for 2021-26] Part III

This is the third and final instalment in the series after the announcement of the 80 members big cabinet. Where President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni appoints the new ministers. Where he retains a dozens, but also shuffles a few. That is visible too, but I am only looking at the ones who is appointed and their past.

The first is General David Muhoozi. The Commander of the Defence Force (CDF) of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) aka the army. The highest command of the army is appointed as the Minister of State for Internal Affairs. Another General into the Cabinet and shows how militarized the politics are. Not enough with 10 UPDF MPs in Parliament and the other army commanders and retired generals in appointments. This fella needs to be there too. That is really a bad precedent without even looking into his history or what he has done as a commander. That says a lot.

Another who has retained his office is Peter Lokeris. Who has been a State Minister for Energy and Mineral Development with focus on Minerals. A man who is not open for transparency and being open with the agreements of extraction of the mineral resources in the Republic. This must be a gem for Museveni to retain. Have him to wheel and deal, while not leaking or being open about the agreements made with the various of companies and licence agreements.

A man who gets a new ministry, but has been there for years is Obiga Kania, the State Minister for Urban Developments. Former Internal Affairs and he has really a bad record. A man who serves the President well, but not the general public. As long as Museveni are in office. It seems like this man will have a safe haven.

We have the former opposition and turned yellow, Beatrice Anywar. She went from Mama Mbira to become another autocrats best friend. She lost in both the Primaries and the General Election in 2021. This is her second office and ministerial office, State Minister of Water and Environment in-charge of Environment. Clearly her newfound loyalty is paying off. Though she is like Evelyn Anite only living on mercy from the President. Since both of them couldn’t get re-elected into Parliament this time around.

Another one who is well known in the cabinet is Musa Ecweru. Who before politics was an accountant and worked for years as a Residential District Commissioner which he did between 1998 to 2006. Where he was working in the districts of Nebbi, Gulu, Kasese and Soroti. Before joining politics. He has been in Parliament since 1996. Before his appointment now as a deputy to Gen. Wamala. Ecweru was a State Minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness. Still, the mudslides and landslides haven’t stopped and the state haven’t had anything prepared in the hour of need. This man is an inept minister. Who is lucky to have the good graces of Museveni. If he didn’t have that. He wouldn’t be near any ministerial post.

So, with this third edition I have now described and taken 25 of 80 appointments. That is more than enough. This is all people who will serve diligently. The President will direct and object to their actions. The NRM Caucus with everything will direct their moves. There are so many players. So, they are not chefs alone. They shouldn’t expect much freedom or liberty. However, they are granted a huge pay-check and allowances. They are the high ranking officials of the state. Peace.

The new cabinet isn’t that sharp [Museveni’s most intriguing Minister’s for 2021-26] Part II

This is the second edition of the articles on he 80 people the President has appointed to various of Ministries lately. President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni continues his extended government and additional offices. This term 2021 to 2026 is no difference. I will look into further of the appointees and what I can find that is significant.

What is very important to say. Is that many who has been retained or gotten appointed are there out of share loyalty to the President. They voted for the Age Limit and fought for it as well. It is a gratitude and proof of loyalty. Nevertheless, that’s not the whole thing, but an important… one nevertheless.

For some reasons beyond me. The inept and sorry excuse of an MP. Chris Baryomunsi is appointed as Minister for Information, Communication Technology and National Guidance. That means several of people have a new boss. The man who will control and have the UCC under his Ministry. The man who said people deserved to wait and die when the Cancer Machine didn’t work at Mulago. A person who didn’t understand why the standard and lack of investment into the education sector, as he visited a school. This man will now run the ICT and have this role. He will be a token soldier and run wild here. Not the fella who will make it better, but silence critics and be vile on TV. Just watch out!

The forever young Gen. Kahinda Otafiire. A man who is always selected and has a natural vibe of a Ministry. The previous Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister. Has now the prestigious Ministry of Internal Affairs. He will truly assault on the ones who is in the way of this Presidency. He is the sort of man who will try to corrupt an election to win and ensure his opponent linger in jail. So, this man isn’t that great, but entitlement is a bitch and the General will continue to pursuit it to the end of his days.

Raphael Magyezi, the one who is the definition of a autocrats best friend. The man who is willing to trade away his soul. Just for some pocket-change and benign trust that it will pay-off in the end. For now his at the mercy of the President. Who has retained him after “private” billing the Age Limit. Still, this man has nothing now. If it isn’t for the goodwill of the President. He knew he isn’t loved and therefore, he isn’t even an MP anymore either. An appointee with no future, except for the blessing of the State House.

Judith Nabakoba MP have perfected the unadulterated press releases in her last term in Parliament. Nobody gave out more information and more statements than her. She was steady with them and parroting the narratives of the state. This is why she was retained and will have another role. She is now appointed as the Minster of Lands, Housing and Urban Development. Where she might be more silent and be more knocking-on the doors of the State House for a safe journey.

One Independent NRM “leaning” MP Agnes Nandutu is the former ‘Point Blank’ reporter and journalist turned politician. Who lost in the NRM Primaries but was able to become MP in the General Election. She is now appointed as Minister of State, Office of the Prime Minister in-charge of Karamjoa.

Evelyn Anite returns to the Cabinet after double loses in the elections. She lost in the Primary and in the General Election. Still, the President is appointing her as the Minister of State for MoFPED in-charge of Planning. She has been a minister in the last term into business. The President is putting her as a deputy under Matia Kasaija. That will be good for her in one way. As she is proven as a soft-weight last term. Even if she is bold, brash and out of line. Going full steam ahead and the President have to clear out her mess like he had to with Uganda Telecom and other saga’s pertaining to Anite. She is living on the mercy of Yoweri and should count her blessings. Also, let us not forget that she is the “gateway to Koboko” and has the army behind her. Please. Remember that.

Henry Okello-Oryem is another one of them who just has to be retained. His a State Minister of Foreign Affairs, in-charge of International Affairs. This is a role he has kept for years. Even as his boss Kuteesa is gone. His retained miraculously. We can wonder why, because it is not like he has worked magic or done anything significant in the previous of years. His there because Museveni trust him and nothing more than that.

Sarah Nyirabashitsi Mateke MP, the daughter of Dr. Philemon Mateke ran for MP in 2021 and won. She has been in Parliament in 2011-2016, but lost in the last term, but returned as this one. Ironically, she ran as an independent in the 2016, but lost to the the NRM candidate in Kisoro. She is one out of 6 Ministers appointed from the Kigezi Sub-Region.

Another forever Minister is Sam Okello Engola has been in good graces since he was appointed as a member of the Constitutional Assembly in 1995. Been in Parliament since 2001 and held various of posts since then. He is just one of those spirits on the wall that keeps getting retained and delivers exactly what the State House wants. This is why his such a fellow who get appointed and keeps getting high ranking official work by the President.

A giant shocker is Owek Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) politician. Who has been the National Chairperson of FDC and a former minister in Buganda Kingdom. She was part of a team who worked directly with Patrick Oboi Amuriat in the negotiations and talks with Muntu after the former Party President lost the previous election. She’s such a integrated part of FDC. It is astonishing that she accepted the appointment and now becomes a State Minister of ICT and National Guidance. Working directly for Uganda Media Centre and other entities spewing out propaganda for the state. That’s such a epic downfall from grace. A betrayal of the cause and a former confidant of Besigye going rouge for Museveni.

Here was another 10 more appointments and my comments. My research and looking into the cabinet for 2021 – 2026. This is very interesting and shows what sort of people Museveni appoints. It is a clear sign, but also a shocker. That Owek and Mateke get’s picked is weird. The others are more accepted, but needs a gist of their past and show how long they have been in the game.

The President drops a few appointees that you couldn’t expect, but also some staple. There is some who just have to get a Ministerial Post and be a High Ranking Official. That is just their livelihood and expectation. Peace.

The new cabinet isn’t that sharp [Museveni’s most intriguing Minister’s for 2021-26] Part I

When you have 80 Members of Parliament or the ability to appoint 80 people for various of Ministers. You should have a field day in appointing the geniuses and the wise to any of these ministries. There should be a capacity and ability to hand-pick the ones who are fitted to various of ministries. However in 2021 that’s a saga long forgotten.

President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni have now released the whole cabinet yesterday. I looked into to the two high profiled roles last night. However, I had a series last term, but doesn’t see it fitting this time to continue with the “Royal Court” series.

It is clear with this Cabinet that the loyalists, the ones who sought and fought for the Age Limit is still getting appointed. The ones who are close and abide the principals of the State House. They are getting rewarded and getting retained. That is clear here and it is visible.

Clearly, Gen. Moses Ali can never do anything wrong. He is just a forever presence. The agreement he made with the National Resistance Movement in 1986 must give Museveni reasons to retaining him. That agreement must give him a office and be viable character in government. In the year of 2021 and beyond.

The former Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga was demoted, but still got an office. She is the First Deputy Prime Minister and will still have some power. Also, be the Minister for East African Community Affairs.

Wife(y) Janet Museveni retains her control of the Ministry of Education and Sports. We know it is buy peace in the Middle East. Oh wait, it is to give her a Gucci bag and call it a day. This is her slush-fund and we are not seeing teachers or lectures getting a better life in their profession.

Then we have the return of Jim Muhwezi. His a forever stagnate fellow within the NRM. His gotten the Minister, Office of the President of Security. A man who was sacked several of time. The ex-Spy have gotten into scandals and been part of grand corruptions cases. This man is as corrupt as it gets and he will eat this term.

The former Secretary General of NRM, Justine Kasule Lumumba have now gotten appointed as Minister in Charge of General Duties/ Office of the Prime Minister. This is a smaller role and sort of unofficial “spokesperson” for the government and will not handle anything serious. Not like the previous person there had a lot of things to do.

Then you have Thomas Tayebwa, who has been an MP since 2016. Other roles than in Parliament is the Director of Cholmat Investments. His appointed as the Government Chief Whip. Last year he got known on social media for beating a UMEME staffer. Who happened to work on a line or transmission, which was illegally connected to the MPs house. Therefore, Tayebwa MP have some answers to give and not only ask forgiveness after. Especially, if the praise of Don Wanyama is true. That Thomas is a Christian and being generous. He should have shown that generosity towards the contracted worker of the UMEME. Not only show up at public functions and showing his giving hands.

Frank Tumwebaze MP had to be retained. He has had several of Ministries and he gets another one now. His a loyal man and was elected without any polls. As he was a unopposed MP in the General Election of 2021. This man is the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries. He will have three Minister of State underneath him. This is giving him vast power…

In no surprise Matia Kasaija is retained as the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED). He surely must have a strong grip on the Ministry and the President trust him blindly on this. Since he has had this for years and continues to stay in office.

For some strange reason, which I cannot phantom. Gen. Jeje Odongo is becoming the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Somewhere is Sam Kuteesa laughing and wonder what happened to him. That the sanctions on his corrupt ass finally hit home and took away one pay-check from all the others his getting. Gen. Odongo is the most defensive minister that’s appointed. His so defensive and willing to defend the indefensible. That this man will blame the pen, but not the ones shooting the bullets. He will dismiss the ones writing about extra-judicial killings, but defend the ones shooting the innocent civilian. That is the sort of man Odongo is and expect that in his work this term.

This is enough for now. There will be a follow up. There is enough characters to make your mind implode on the spot. The Cabinet of 2021-26 will not generate greatness …. It is there to serve Museveni and that’s it. These folks are there because of their loyalty and they will follow him until he pushes them overboard. That’s why people get used and dropped like nothing. Expect someone to cry havoc in the coming days. It is inevitable. Peace.

PS: Part II is on its way, but will dig for every soul mentioned … just like always.

A brief look into the new Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja MP

We no longer need violence in our country. We don’t want to give our country to these drug addicts who have recently come out and declared that they want to lead us. No way, our country loves Museveni, the president just needs women like Betty Kamya, to join him” Robinah Nabbanja at a Fundraiser in Church in Kyalyamasasa in Kakumiro District about Bobi Wine

Robinah Nabbanja is now the official and the up-coming Prime Minister of the Republic in the 11th Parliament. I will dwell quickly into her past and what she has done before. Her title before politics was a teacher and she held that work for three years at Uganda Martyrs School of Kakumiro.

In the last term she was the State Minster for Health (General Duties) in the 10th Parliament (2016-21). She has now been promoted for greater tasks.

Before this she has been an Member of Parliament since 2011. Between 2001 to 2010 she was Resident District Commissioner in the districts of Pallisa, Busia and Budaka. Clearly appointed by the President and held in high regard back-then.

In 2014 she was beaten up after a wrangle in Kibaale district. She has also gone after Amama Mbaabzi and Gilbert Bukenya, when they had a falling out with the NRM. So, she likes to be in on the good side of Museveni.

The State House has appreciated her services, while the opposition have called her into question. As her education and her short stint as a secondary teacher begs to question her qualifications to be a high ranking official. Still, she has been able to get up the ranks.

Now, she isn’t a mere minister, but a Prime Minister. There she will have a lot of power, but also thread the water carefully. As the President will follow her moves and she cannot step out wrong. The previous PM’s has a long history not only in the NRM but in association with Museveni.

Don’t expect her to revolutionize anything. She can meddle into taxi disputes and vote for “Yes” to abolish the Presidential Age Limit. However, don’t expect the Office of the Prime Minster to be running like clockwork. It will be a enterprise all in favour of Museveni now and he will just be one call away.

This Prime Minister will not run it smoothly like Mbabazi or Rugunda. No, she will be something else. Though she has three deputies and that will not make her day-job any easier. These being 1st Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga, 2nd Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Moses Ali and 3rd Deputy Prime Minister Lukia Nakadama.

So, you can go figure. However, with her history and short time in any ministry. Also short time in Parliament in general. Her appointment as Prime Minister is questionable and she is clearly not the most capable to be there. This will be ride and she will regret accepting this. Peace.

A brief look into Jessica Alupo MP [the new VP]

Although it’s important to realize human rights and fundamental freedoms which contribute to democratization of the society; the programme has to fit in one of the examinable subjects so that more effort is put by teachers”Jessica Alupo

It is now official the Independent Member of Parliament, the Woman MP for Katakwi District Jessica Alupo is the official Master of Ceremonies aka Vice-President in the 11th Parliament. She is 47 Years old.

Jessica was elected into Parliament in 2001, then she ran on a National Resistance Movement (NRM) MP. Alupo won her re-election in 2006 and in 2009 was appointed the State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs. Again, she was re-elected in 2011 and appointed as the Post of Minister of Education of Sports.

What is striking about Alupo is that she lost in the NRM Primaries in 2015 and in 2020. Though she was able to retain the MP position in the General Elections in 2016 and 2021. This was done as the Independent MP.

In 2013, President Museveni promoted Alupo to Captain as well. So, the President have really high regard for her.

She has shown her loyalty, but also been rebelling for her own cause. While being supported and getting Museveni to be there for her on the campaign trail. This was happening while she was an independent even. Therefore, even as the Katakwi Primary Elections dismiss her. She passes through the in General. That is really it…

Now, she will not get legislation done. Neither will she be effective. Alupo is just a high ranking official with a fancy title. The one taking over for the Edward Ssekandi. People will not ask for his number or his location anymore. Those jokes will sadly die and we will wonder if Alupo will make a living out of this.

The Independent NRM Leaning MP has become the VP. A useless VP. Let’s see how she plays this one out. As she has battled the ‘Teso Mafia’ and still gotten elected twice. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni’s magic number is now 80

President Museveni has proposed to the NRM Caucus to introduce one more position for Minister of State to bring the total number of Ministers from 79 to 80. Motion passed by the caucus” (NBS Television, 07.06.2021).

A man with such a big entourage, amount of cronies and own high ranking officials. Are now extending this… by just one more person, but it is still ghastly how big the cabinet have become. The cabinet for the 11th Parliament will be 80, instead of 79. 79 was already ridiculous and to big to remember all the names. You cannot even remember all the titles or the Ministers itself

With this sort of big cabinet you need to Google it to even find the right one. You will remember a few and the ones who are inheriting their position from previous terms. This is like the Ministry of Finance and Development and Economic Development (MoFPED). Who has been the same fella for ages. Just like you cannot forget who is appointed as the Chairman to the Bank of Uganda. They have been there forever. The same can be said of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Therefore, there will be some things, which will not be surprising in the grand schemes of things.

Nevertheless, expect new faces and some from the opposition. If Museveni gets his way. He will try to pick someone from Democratic Party (DP), Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) and even Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). That will be his dream to make it like a “unity” government, but they are all his loyal subject in cabinet and they are there because of him. That’s the grand scheme of things. The ones his appointing have already been favourable and hunting for relevancy around the President, but this will be the nail in the coffin.

It is really striking after the biggest gerrymandering effort in living memory. After boosting the parliament with such a grand amount of Members of Parliament. Where you have created a surplus of MPs and lack of space for them. Where the state have to rent expensive locations as offices and the plenary sessions cannot even be in the August House anymore. Because it is to small of house and it lacks space for them all.

At this point and time. You are adding additional Ministers. Just like the President have been adding Presidential Advisors and Appointees in the State House. He has so many people in his ear and on his payroll. That he is the biggest entrepreneur of the Republic. The personification of the state is hiring more people than his ever firing. His adding and adding without getting more revenue. That is how to run things to the ground and bankrupt.

There is no-one with a bright mind saying that 80 Ministers is a healthy cabinet. There isn’t even that many ministries or possible portfolios to operate. You have to create an issue out of thin-air and also create so small mandates and offices, which will make plenty of them redundant. They will just sign of the will of the state and catch the check before calling it a day. That is the blunt reality of it all.

The 80 Ministers cabinet is a mind-numbing and an expense that only serves the loyalist of the President. This will be another huge post on the budgets in the years to come. Just like the price of the all the MPs and their allowances. This is clearly an expenditure the state cannot afford, but is pending to pay.

Museveni is crippling the state. Little by little. Choice after choice. Soon there is no end to the greed. Soon there is no to new ways of sucking funds from the reserves and eat. Because, it is empty and nobody will lend the state a hand. Peace.

Opinion: The NUP needs to set their priorities straight [and not just aim at the King but also his court]

Last week’s elections for speaker and deputy speaker in Kampala division councils saw many from the National Unity Platform NUP win. In Makindye and Rubaga, the story was very different. NUP says it will investigate what could have cost them the speakership vote in these councils” (NTV Uganda, 04.06.2021).

The National Unity Platform (NUP) needs a reality check and it needs to be written on the wall. This comes after the news of voting for National Resistance Movement (NRM) speakers in Kampala. While the Jinja NUP Mayor have appointed NRM councillors too.

The NUP should read upon the fall of Omar Al-Bashir in Sudan and Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe. Both these lessons should be warning to the new party. That got such a big standing and mandate across the Republic in the last General Election. The NUP have the ability to make a difference, but by voting in speakers and other offices to the NRM. They are just prolonging the programming of the state. While they are token servants to it.

Let’s be clear here. The NRM are Musveni. Museveni is the NRM. To think about it differently is naive and very foolish. Museveni is the personification of the state and breeds the NRM party. He is the pulse and the heartbeat. Only a naive sucker would think otherwise in 2021. That’s why its infuriating and foolish to see the NUP voting in NRM people in offices. This is just dumb.

You cannot remove a dictator by giving way and giving titles to his servants. Are you kidding me? You cannot get rid of the dictators power and his ability to control by giving away roles, offices and titles to the NRM. Then you are serving the purpose of multi-party democracy and being stooges. You are making yourself a mockery of a selective outrage.

You are aiming at the king, but not looking at his court. You are not taking into consideration, all the people that serves and does the bidding of the King. You think that by getting rid of the king, the Kingdom will cease to exist?

Mugabe got toppled, but the ZANU-PF is as vicious as it was under him. President Mnangagwa haven’t changed things. The dictatorship is alive and kicking-it in Zimbabwe. The state isn’t any better and the human rights violations is as rampant under him. Than it was under Mugabe. So, by me saying this… is that if NRM continues after Museveni. Don’t expect it to be any better.

Yes, you got rid of the head, but the machinery is still there. The NRM is still serving for the same purpose and for a new head. The crown and the principal controls of the state will still linger on. Museveni is just the dictator, but all of his henchmen will still persist and they know the drill. Therefore, the NUP giving way to the NRM is ignorant and not a working strategy.

Does the NUP wants a 2nd Republic like Zimbabwe? I don’t think so. The NUP should take a call to Harare and talk to Chamisa. Maybe get some words of wisdom. I doubt it is what they want to hear, but the reality is still here.

The NUP needs to get their priorities in order. If you are removing a dictator. You cannot only look at him, but the whole system built around him. Unless, you want to be tormented by the ones coming after him. Because, these fellas has a unit behind them doing their dirty work and they will find a safe-haven after the inevitable fall. That’s why the NUP should give way or consider working so close to the NRM.

Because, then there is no difference between them and the dictator they seek to uproot. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni’s 1966 lie [SONA21 quote]

Let all the leaders stop confusing people by sending contradictory or divergent messages. The NRM message ever since 1966 has been: all homesteads to join the money economy using ekibaro (cura, otita, aimar ─ profitability assessment) to guide their enterprise selection” – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni from State of the Nation Address on the 4th June 2021

Well, this isn’t a shock, but President Museveni lies. Let’s make things clear. The National Resistance Army (NRA) was founded in 1981. Secondly, before that Museveni had launched a new political party before the 1980 General Election. That was the Uganda Patriotic Movement (UPM) and because of the failure of that party. He went to the bush and founded NRA/M.

Thirdly, as stated underneath here. We can see how his stances was personally in 1960s and there was no NRA/M at that time. He was a student in Tanzania. So, it would be difficult to be a capitalist and believe in the free-market. When you where kicked out of the UPC for your leftist tendencies. Also, Museveni was reading up on Marxism and even formed a forum to study it. So, how come he says the NRM has believed in capitalistic ideals since1966? Who can riddle me that?

This was written about Museveni in 1987:

Indeed, in 1964, just two years after the country’s independence, Museveni was fired from Premier Obote’s Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) party, when UPC’s youth league (in which Museveni was an active member) was banned for advancing “leftist tendencies”. This anti-people move was not a surprise, for it was in Uganda where the first genuine and coherent critique of colonialism was made. The critique, not by an historian or political-scientist, but by a poet, the late Professor Okot p’Bitek, one of Africa’s greatest poets to emerge after World Warn, remains a solid 200-page epic poem called Song of Lawino. Around the same time, in 1966, Museveni joined the University of Dares Salaam where he played a progressive role as Chairman of the University Student African Revolutionary Front (USARF) a forum for the rigorous study of Marxism. In Dar es Salaam, he was greatly influenced by the peoples’ historian, revolutionary and scholar, the late Professor Walter Rodney, author of the famous How Europe Underdeveloped Africa. As leader of USARF, Museveni led a group of six revolutionary students on a month-long tour of the liberated areas of Mozambique in September, 1968” (UFAHAMU, A Journal of African Studies, 15(3) – ‘MUSEVENI, THE NEW GENERATION OF AFRICAN LEADERS AND THE STATE IN UGANDA’, 1987).

When you know this and read this. You can just see how easy it was to debunk this lie. The NRA/M wasn’t even existing at that time. That’s shows how he wants to manipulate and rewrite history. Just like he hopes these sorts of records stop to exist.

President Museveni didn’t preach Operation Wealth Creation in the 1960s. Just to further prove the bogus statement of the President yesterday, Dr. Ezra Suruma said this about the economic policy in 1986: “The thrust of its economic policy is a mixed economy in which government and the private sector are copartners in the development of Uganda .. Economic regulation is minimal while private initiative and public infrastructural construction proceed at a maximal pace ..” (Dr. Ezra Suruma – ‘UGANDA 1986: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS’ in Transafrica Forum, August-September 1986).

So, even in the beginning of the reign of Museveni it was a mixed economy. It wasn’t even then a fully capitalistic policies. So, the truth is reveal and the lie is so easy to expose at this point. Museveni should know better. He cannot even go back to 1966 with the NRA. Because, that is impossible. The ideals of now… wasn’t the deal back-then. So speak truth, you are lying and your bad at it. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni rehashing old ideas for yet another public address

Today, it’s a formality, a technicality of sorts, the State of the Nation address, which is the part of the protocol and Parliamentary Procedure. Therefore, this speech is scheduled and a fixed affair. However, President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni have been speaking to the public on the regular. It not like he will say anything new or sincere today.

Nobody expect a ground-breaking and earth-shattering revelation, which is of epic proportions. No, it will just be the run-of-the-mill speech, which could have been easily drafted before any other public gathering from this old man. There will be nothing substantial or game changing.

President Museveni will spew the same sort of rhetoric, same sort of fashionable play and praise his own achievements. Go back in age, have a historical lesson and even a few bible quotes. Then have a few left-field touches and grins, as the man cannot help himself. He will dig into a few bottlenecks and lack of integration. We know the drill.

That’s why using time to listen or even evaluate his speech is redundant. Its waisted energy. We have done it all before and the ploys are getting old. Just like the old man himself. It is recycling and rehashing the same things. There is nothing new under the sun, but this is just stating the obvious.

During the lockdown of yester-year, I had a Keeping up with Kaguta series on the speeches there. Without a shadow of a doubt. The speeches there in comparison to this wouldn’t far from each other. The only thing different is a few minor tweaks and what he needs to say, as per protocol of the State of the Nation. Therefore, to address it all or even look into it is benign.

Very few will listen, and even fewer will bother to read it. They know it is filled of obnoxious lies, deceit and deceptions, also exaggerations and personal brownie-points of good work done. Ensuring that he has done great since taking office in 1986. That the economy is strong, the military stronger and his dick can still create babies. Because, we have heard it all before and its old news. This isn’t even fake news, but old fossil fuel news, which could have been dropped a press release and we could have moved on swiftly.

President Museveni will come with same sort of claims, words and quotations, where he boosts his own ego and achievements. There will be nothing that is worthwhile or memorable. Unless, his coming with the Leopards Anus or speaking of truck-drivers finding wives. Because, we know his into those kinds of things. Maybe even pigs and other non-preferred insects, which is derogatory statements said about his enemies or “hoodlums”. The people he doesn’t want to be associated with.

Don’t be confused. There are no lessons here and only the same old story. Again for 2021. By Mr. 1986 and his junta government. Peace.
