Opinion: MPs to ditch the popular vote so they can elect the next President!

“The Uganda government is proposing a change in the Constitution to abolish the popular presidential elections by the public, so that the president is being elected by the Members of Parliament. The move is being spearheaded by the Deputy Attorney General Jackson Kafuuzi under the Constitutional Review Commission. In an audio from CBS radio station, Kafuuzi is quoted saying the government is already mobilizing money to fund the Constitution Review Commission’s nationwide tours” (Eagle Online – ‘MPs to elect President in 2026 under proposed reforms’ 06.01.2022).

Members of Parliament and within the National Resistance Movement is this term floating the idea of the selected President. Meaning the general public will have no direct say in it. As the Parliament and the majority of the Parliament will elect the President. This is clearly indicated and only matters of the President.

The MPs themselves are not selected and elected through the popular vote in their constituencies, while the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief is elected by them. That is how to destroy any belief in any sort of democratic values whatsoever. As the President will be an unelected technocrat, who is hand-picked by the National Assembly. That is really it.

So, it wasn’t enough to defiantly stand against the Multi-Party System, to abolish the term limits and age limits. No, the same President and his party has amended the constitution again. Since, the President knows he cannot lie or can fool the general public anymore. He knows his not beloved or honoured. His convoys are bigger than his gatherings, unless his paying and ferrying poor people promising food and tokens of appreciation. Therefore, this man is just doing what he can to be re-elected.

This is disingenuous and disrespectful to the general public, as they can and will elect one person on their own merit. They are totally disregarding the universal suffrage and the popular vote by doing this. If they start with him and his office. What about the rest of them? What else will be appointed and selected? Will it be MPs themselves and such?

Since, they are opening one door and clearly there is more to come. That’s why with every single other amendment and changes to the law. It is having opened questions of term limits for others or not. The same with retirement of judges and other presidential appointees. As their age doesn’t matter when the head of state can be of advanced age himself.

Everyone should have seen the writing on the wall, as the President didn’t want to hold elections before after being a decade into power. Secondly, he had to pushed through two referendums to return to multi-party democracy. And after all of that… he has revised the term limits and age limits, as it concerned his longevity in power. Now, he got to do it again, because he knows he cannot fool the popular vote or rig without scrutiny as he used too.

That’s why this is happening, and they are also doing this to appease the “Muhoozi Project” and possibly select him as the successor without any prior election. Since, the new amendment and constitutional stipulation allows that. While I still wonder how they will trick the law or the birthplace of Muhoozi. That cannot be revised, unless they allow it somehow.

This is another edition and now Magyezi will be off the hook. Since, it is the next crooks who dismantles the 1995 Constitution, brick by brick. While we are watching and sighing from a distance.  Peace.

Opinion: Is the NUP having their “defiance” moment?

Mufumbiro made the statements amidst cheers from the crowd in the presence of the party secretary general David Lewis Rubongoya, the deputy president for Central Region and Leader of Opposition in Parliament Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, and several party’s top notches including MPs. But Mpuuga hastily hit back in disapproval of Mufumbiro’s confrontational approach of removing Museveni from power, saying they have preferred a more strategic approach of capturing other than creating false hope to the highly enthusiastic support base that is yearning for change. Mpuuga indicated the current leadership is so committed to offering proper guidance and leadership of substance in the turbulent times when they are faced with a stubborn, ruthless, and a tough competitor capable of unleashing violence against his opponents” (URN – ‘NUP split over approach to dislodge Museveni’ 29.12.2021, The Observer).

In today’s The Observer there is reported that the leaders within National Unity Platform (NUP) have different ideas on how to move forward, as the final end-game and goal of the party is to remove a dictator. However, the objectives are agreed upon, the way of which is to work and succeed seems to differ. That is very clear.

Mufubiro and Mpuuga clearly disagree, in such a way of which the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) had two separate camps or fractions at one point. The FDC was split between the “defiance” and the “pragmatic” approach. The same seems to happen within the NUP as well. That is just reasonable, as the growing pains and the amount of politicians associating with the NUP. Everyone wouldn’t agree upon everything and neither have the same perspective. If a party is real and people have ideals or dogma behind their actions. Then you will have heated arguments and discussions to achieve the same objective goal or achievement for that matter. Therefore, no one should cry havoc and say the party is over.

What is happening here is all natural and it makes sense. That’s why the FDC in some ways split between the ones following “Defiance” and the ones who were pragmatic, joining the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT). So, what we are seeing here has happened before…

What we also should know is that the Mpuuga has been on the front-line since the time’s of Action4Change and Walk to Work. So, it is not like he has tasted rebellion and been on the barricades fighting. He knows the costs and paid the price of being arrested for his political activism. Therefore, when others would feel the same within his party. The Leader of Opposition should understand and want to resolve with actions. That the LoP speaks of strategic ways seems to be a sophisticated way of saying there are other means than what Mufubiro promotes right now.

When I was reading the article and the arguments between the party leaders of NUP. I felt a moment of nostalgia, as the NUP is now going into the same issues of which the FDC did. Instead, of having one unified way forward. There are internal squabbles and talks about how to move and operate. The NUP has decide and show resilience, unless they prefer being part of this system and be a token opposition to the dictatorship. Sooner or later they might be washed-up as Mao and the Democratic Party (DP). Because, if they are just supposed to negotiate and strategically move. Then they are just using time and spending time in office, unless he means more industrial strikes, civil disobedience and coordinated riots. Alas, there is nothing of that in the talks of Mpuuga. Which could mean that they are supposed to revolutionize the system from within.

If Mpuuga really believes that works… then he has not followed the FDC and the pragmatic members of that party. Since, they didn’t get rid of or had a peaceful transition because they joined IPOD or was part of the multi-party elections. No, it has just been more of the same and the FDC haven’t toppled the President. The National Resistance Movement (NRM) is in full cruise control and has nothing to fear. Especially, if Mpuuga is becoming a knock-off Muntu. If that happens… then the NRM and Museveni will linger on with no trouble and only some ceremonial disobedience, which is as powerful as mosquitoes sucking for blood. Yes, they can do it and bite. However, they will never suck enough or do damage to hurt the system they are sucking from. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni believes in corruption [surprise, surprise]

Be careful on lifestyle audits. We are lucky the thieves are still keeping the money here. They build Five Star Hotels. They will begin to take the money out, and we fail to trace” Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (09.12.2021).

This here statement from His Excellency and the Fountain of Honour at the official launch of the National Lifestyle Audit Campaign on the Anti-Corruption Day. I wish it was made up, but it shows his intention and what he wants out of it. It is clearly a hallow mission and a launch. When the guy ordering and directing everyone around, says this to general public.

Yes, everyone with a working mind knows there is a need for funds and investment to start a business. It costs to trade before selling. Both in inventory, furbishing a location, taxes and registration to various government entities. As well, as the basic needs of salaries and other components to make the business legit. However, the President is setting a bad precedence here. He is initially saying that they are lucky having corrupt thieves to invest in building businesses….

It is a curse to get wealth through corruption. I don’t want to give examples. God is up there watching. I can tell you he doesn’t bless people who do evil. Even the people who took slaves got problems” (Museveni, 09.11.2021).

What is funny about this… he gave an example with the 5 Star Hotel. I am sure there are several of companies built with these sorts of funds in the Republic. The President and his cronies knows this and they don’t want the IGG to look into them. I wouldn’t be shocked, if the President have directed the IGG or Auditor General to look away from certain people. Because, the State House wouldn’t accept the closest associates or family members touched by this. The President will for certain not accept all investigations or audit. That will hurt the patronage and his whole regime. Therefore, his worried that some of the big-men might be implicated or having corporations touched by it. That is just inevitable.

You are fighting for money because I have generated money for you. The NRM has generated money for you. The UPDF has created peace. That is why you have the money to steal. There is no reason we should not do things correctly. The economy would grow faster” (Museveni, 09.12.2021).

This here is really typical. The President cannot come out without the army or the guns. The ammunition and the arms are the saving grace. It shows the lack of progress and status of governing. When you have to cling on the guns and the army to be the salvation from desperation. The UPDF shouldn’t be the safeguard of the economy, but keep the Republic’s territorial integrity. This is the misuse of it and how he operates the army to fix everything in the state. We know the UPDF is participating in the economy and using it as a means to his end. Plus, the directing of decrees from the State House also is compelling in this disregard.

When the President can utter words like this. It isn’t promising for the IGG. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t expect much either. The men who was done this grand corruption before has gotten of the hook, while the small-fish has been fried in public. That’s what we have seen. The big-men with connections gets away from the law, but the civil servant thieving a coin gets years to shave behind bars.

Nobody should be above the law and everyone should be equal before it, but expecting that in the Republic in 2021. Is asking a bit but too much sadly. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni has a lot’s of plans, but he never follows any of them

Why do you talk of 2040? This is for the “bamulyabyengedde” (technocrats). It is not for me, me I know we can hit it even by 2030. Not only hit it but also exceed” – President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni (04.12.2021).

Ever since the launch of the 10 Point Programme, the National Resistance Movement/Army (NRM/A) have shifted their programs, plans and whatever strategic document to fit the donors or the international community to get fiscal support to run the government.

The Movement and it’s government have released such huge and vast programmes. They have launched three National Development Plan (I, II & III). The same government have unleashed Vision 2020 and Vision 2040. While also never addressing the “fundamental change” promised with the 10 point programme. So, we can easily see there is no lack of planning and fiddling the pen to create some admonishing paperwork. Still, even with that massive paper-trail there is little to show from it.

This in combination with the NRM Manifestos and pledges. The state is riddled with promises and plans of which will never see the light of day. Neither will it be implemented, since nobody has the power or the currency to do it. This is why these are documents and plans made for the multi-national development banks and UN Organizations to fund and fill in the void of the state.

That he now downplays and plays like at this rate everything will be great. It is a play for the dubious people, as he haven’t achieved his promises before and neither will he do now. He has promised wealth and middle-income country status for ages without getting close. That isn’t strange either, as most things can be solved by wheels or vehicles. It is the model of all operations and daily narratives over the years. If you have an issue, either call a security detail or purchase a car for an appointed subject. Therefore, the issue or the problem is resolved immediately. However, that isn’t governing, but running a huge car-lot.

This is maybe why he feels it’s a hassle or a disturbance to have plans to follow. Since these cannot be rigged, tampered with or changed to whatever purpose he has in the now. The measures, stipulations and pledges is written “in stone” and cannot be amended before you have another plan to takeover from the previous plan. While the demand and the ideals of the old man might change with time. Secondly, he has new cronies and a larger patronage to take care of as well. All of this is all indulging the possibility of implementing such a large scale plan. In addition, the running deficits and expenses are not creating opportunities to change things. Alas, he don’t have the space to do it. Because, he has inflated the state to such a scale, which makes it hard to redeem at this point.

Hitherto lays the disarray of the whole thing. It isn’t the technocrats or bureaucrats fault that the Vision 2040 isn’t fulfilled. These folks only works on the mandate delivered to them and the office of which someone appointed them. Alas, the inept government is created by creating even more offices than it needs. Needless to say, someone has to feed the NRM Primaries losers after every election and the old stalwarts needs a envelope to be loyal to the cause. This is why there will be expenses and lack of implementation of anything. The incentives are not there and the economy isn’t up to par.

I didn’t expect when the launch of Vision 2040 that it would be implemented or delivered. That’s why they had previously not followed or tried hard to achieve the previous ones. This is just what they do. Make fashionable statements and huge plans to seek funding for a lofty or bloated ideals, which will never see the light of day. Just like all the financing and donations to a new headquarters for the NRM. That we haven’t seen either, but just epically appears ahead of the elections. As the NRM needs a treasury chest to pay all parties and everyone aligned with it’s goals ahead of the polls.

Therefore, when Museveni speaks ill of Vision 2040. Don’t be sad or grieve. It wasn’t made for the republic, but to fools some Americans and Europeans to dole a lot of funds on wasteful project with no future. Except for keeping a busy-body very-busy at an development office in Kampala. Peace.

Opinion: Muhoozi wants people to rebel [as that is what his father is most known for…]

If your energy, determination and motivation are well oriented towards making this country better, Uganda will be unstoppable. Therefore, it is a challenge to the youth that a better country begins with you. We need to learn from the example of our current President who in his youth in 1960s started mobilising peasants in his home district to embrace modern methods of farming” – Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerubaga (Felix Ainebyoona – ‘Kainerugaba tells youth to emulate Museveni¨ 30.11.2021, Daily Monitor Uganda).

The son of the President and His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni might think otherwise. However, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerubaga might think differently about the legacy and what his father leaves behind. Muhoozi can deny it and stifle the conversation. However, this man will not be known for farming or his cattle, but his rebellion.

President Museveni will be known for the civil-war and his rebellious way. We know what Museveni did as a part of FRONASA and NRA. It is not like his known for being elected and having a peaceful transition of power. No, he is known for taking power with the guns and not over the ballot.

If people where to emulate or copy the legacy of Museveni. It would be defiant and be cunning behaviour. Where he would promise pledges of change, but continue with similar acts of what the past leaders did. While claiming to be about fundamental change or come with a new vision. Alas, that is clearly not what the son wants people to do.

Because, he wants them to be citizens and civilians who serve the needs of the Republic. The Third in Command of the Army doesn’t want people to start their own armed rebellion to get rid of Museveni. Neither, does he want someone to be as deceitful, as his father either. If so… he must be stupid and foolish.

Muhoozi wants it sound like his father is legendary. That is not strange either. As he wants the legacy of his father to be noble and honourable. No, matter how many skulls, skeletons and decomposed bodies his father has passed over to stay in office. Because, that is the mere reality. This is why so many was tricked and was caught slipping. They lost one moment and it was fatal. That is the sort of political game his father is known for and the son cannot rewrite that.

I am very sure that the Muhoozi don’t want people to emulate his father. That would be risky and would be defiant of how the National Resistance Movement cares for it’s rebels. They usually use an iron fist and ensure they turn into bootlickers again. Before they are allowed or able to return to the fold. Therefore, we know the state and the ones close association with Muhoozi. Don’t want anyone to rebel against the state or the President.

However, if people wants to follow his example. They need to drop out of the NRM and start an armed rebellion after a failed election. If not join the armed diaspora and overthrow a dictator with the help of a foreign adversary and other allies in the struggle. That’s the two ways to follow his example and become like him. If not they can be a minister with his own private army, which he also had at one point. Therefore, he has been stable with militarising everything and use it as a way to get power.

So, I doubt that Muhoozi wants people to do that either. I can be honest… because it is not his farming abilities or cattle keeping that he his known for. Neither is it cash-crop mannerism and the wealth creation aspects either. That is just part of his schemes to stay in-power and nothing else. We know he is a man of arms and rebellion. That’s what Museveni is … and who he become. Muhoozi cannot change that… Peace.

Opinion: General Museveni thrives on death

I cannot claim that the President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni is vampire who gets longer life by sucking on others people’s blood. However, the General and Commander-in-Chief has all his career gotten strength by murder, deaths and killings. He wouldn’t be in office, if it wasn’t for people dying and sacrificing themselves for the cause.

General Museveni didn’t get directly elected in 1986. He used guerrilla tactics and never forgotten them. He continued to tarnish, assassinated leaders, killed civilians and prolonged the war in the Northern Uganda. The General continued warfare in Rwanda for his allies and did similar efforts at least twice in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He also supported efforts in South Sudan and has sent brigades to help other friends out as well, like in Equatorial Guinea. This man thrives on war and counts his blessing for participating in peacekeeping operations. Because, that makes a useful man to the West.

General Museveni has no trouble killing, assaulting or silencing his opposition. He can use the whole authority and get rid of the ones in his way. That’ how he got into office. November 2020 massacres in the streets of Kampala is no difference. They were “hoodlums” and “thugs” who deserved to die. That’s how he states it. Just like the terrorists who killed recently are “pigs”. He can always justify death. This is why he had justifications for Luweero Triangle and all the other massacres ever since. He could also pin the enemy and make his men look “disciplined”.

Without people dying and merciless fall from life. He wouldn’t have a office or have power in general. That is how he has succeeded to have a life presidency. The General have used all means from his inception and even before to get ahead. That’s why he used all means to be part of united front to bring Idi Amin done. Later he brought several more down to make it possible for his reign. It was all through the use of guns and not through dialogue or negotiations.

General Museveni have ensured his legacy to be the death of others. Stray-bullets, massacres and warfare on the regular. Using military means for his personal gains and he never stopped. That’s why the army is involved in everything and is vital for his reign. That’s why his willing to kill civilians and get rid of citizens who are in his way.

He has ruled with fear and warmongering. It not like he has silenced the guns. They have always come in handy, when he needed to get his way. That’s why sends the Police Force, the Army or any other security organizations he can. There is no peace and only brutal force, which ends up innocent lives taken. If it is Kasese, Arua or Kampala. If it is Muslim clerics, boxers or activists, heck even royal security guards. The state can always find a reason and cases are never solved. Drivers of politicians, high ranking officials or anyone else can become a target of his regime. Assassinations and murders are clear path of this man…

General Museveni will promote and ensure the ones who keeps him power. He doesn’t care if the Generals or army commanders kills people. As long as they do this on his orders and they follow his commands. At some point, the General will promote them and give them greater office.

The General is no good and his been so his whole career. The only difference is that at one point he was able to trick people, but we can see all through it now. It isn’t only the civilians killed in November 2020. It is the rest of them that has been silenced over the years. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni have weaponized the judiciary and the authorities [that’s the problem]

The National Resistance Army/Movement (NRA/M) came with promise of peace and liberty for the people. The promises haven’t been kept and the NRM is no different from the previous regimes. The only difference in some parts of the Republic the amounts of extra judicial killings and abuse of process, which is illegally detaining civilians, charging political opponents and even using Military Courts to prosecute political prisoners. Therefore, yesterday’s National Address of His Excellency was really insulting himself and his reign.

Yes, he lied about several of things. We can doubt that the President was sent to prisons during his time as a student and was also in Mozambique to learn guerrilla tactics. This man was in such good favours that Tanzanian President Julius Nyerere wanted President Milton Obote to hire him. That clearly helped him to get the post of Research Assistance in the Office of the President. A post he had until Idi Amin overthrow Obote. So, believing he would be many times in jail is the easiest lie.

What is striking that the President is speaking of victims of murders, killings and extra judicial killings. That the assassins and killers doesn’t deserve police bond or bail. A right everyone has in 1995 Constitution. A Constitution he created and made in his vision back-in-the-day. We know he has revised to the new reality and to his self-styled Presidential for Life. Therefore, changing this would be Modus Operandi.

However, doing this and what the state does. Instead of investigating and using due process in criminal proceedings. In concern to the arrests of opposition MPs. It follows a pattern and it’s pathetic. They arrested before the proceedings are even started. The MPs are targeted and charged, but there was no real investigation in advance. Therefore, the state cannot produce witnesses, affidavits or evidence defending the charges. That’s why the state has put the cart before the horse and it’s deliberate. This is why the MPs are put on bail while the authorities have to figure out who to pin them. Secondly, why they are re-arrested by another parts of the authorities for other charges. To keep them behind bars. While they are working … to find a way and reasons for keeping them detained. This is initially making people guilty before they are innocent. Instead of the principal of being innocent until proven guilty.

That’s why it’s really staggering that he does and uses his time to re-issue the idea of abolishing bail and police bond. The President seems to have no trouble doing this. However, if he pushes for this and it becomes a new regime after him. They might use these laws to target NRM leaders and family members of Museveni. Muhoozi and Odrek could easily be targeted on phony charges, airlifted to Moroto and kept behind bars for months. While the authorities are producing evidence and proof of the alleged intentions to do the crime they are charged with.

President Museveni will now serve injustice in system. Yes, murders and extra judicial killings should be investigated. The ones behind the crimes should be charged and sentenced. This should be all parts of the authorities to participate and ensure justice is served. That done by the due process and with rule of law. However, the ideals and words of Museveni yesterday his the officer, judge and the executioner. His taking the law into his own hands and wants people to be detained and sentenced without proper proceedings. That is just tragic, but shows how he cares about justice.

For a man who promised to deliver “fundamental change” and be different than his predecessors. His clearly copying them all and all of their ills. A piece by piece, as his time is lingering in power. What is striking is that he uses the same methods and means to stay in office. The NRM and the President have no issues weaponizing the judiciary, the authorities and the state to target its opponents. That it has done through the years and its not getting better. This why this is just furthering oppression and crackdown on the ones who differs from His Excellency. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni’s words matters less and less

The speeches, the national addresses and whatnot of the Fountain of Honour, His Excellency and the President of the Republic, Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni is becoming pointless. To say it accurately “a waste of time”.

A President and his speeches should be poignant and be inspirational. Heck, they should set the norm and the moral statement of how his government is run. Alas, the President should set forward policies, directives and what he aims to do in the present and the future. However, there is pieces of that in his speeches, but also a lot of downtime. It could just be static sounds and whispers of the past. Since it isn’t relevant or fits more a “Point Blank” skit.

President Museveni is making mockery of the Republic and himself. A man who has positioned all power in his hands. A leader who is directing everyone and involving himself in any sort of deal. There is no road, house or land in question without some sort of interference from the President. While he has appointed authorities, commissions and government organizations to do this. Still, his doing their bidding and undermining their initial work. Their mandate is without merit, because he can tell the leader of the organization. That is what you do and what I order you to do. Therefore, all protocol, due diligence or procedure is a troublesome wasteland.

So, why I am writing all of this?

Well, someone has to say it. After all the speeches of the bush-war, the legends of the past and the supposed heroics. Sooner or later, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) which is built around the President. Has to give way and become a relic as well. Not only the stalwart or historicals who is lost and praying for relevance. The same is soon happening to the President. If we are not already there.

The President can’t fake love or appreciation… he can fake polls and elections. He can rig the majority and control the institutions of the Republic. As well, he can do the same to the military and security organizations. As long as these are kept in order and paid. These will be loyal and secure the Presidency. They are not there to secure law and order. Neither is it stationed to secure the territory either. These are soldiers and officers who is more busy with dissident than doing their actual job.

That is why the speeches and statements are becoming static air and not worthy of being on TV, Radio or online for that matter. Everyone is better of cooking a stew or buying airtime for their phones. Than actually spending time listening in and await the prepared articles on the “hot-takes” from it. It is better to read a book or spend time with family. Because, you using your time for something useful.

This is really insightful and shows the true nature of things. The general public rather await for the guidance and the articles with the directives. Then to actually sit down and listen to what he has to say. The President and his handlers should be worried. Since his not seen as relevant. That is not weird considering he has imposed himself in their lives for decades. It is not like his truly elected or popular for ages. That train left long time ago and his acts is differing from his speeches too.

He can in one minute go from hating something to love it. We have seen over the years how the man has twisted and changed his mind. That has always been with the best interest for himself and his own causes. This is why everyone know he does things for selfish reasons and not for the betterment of the state. The belief in that died years ago and the ones who still believes it is naive or stupid.

So, a National Address tomorrow isn’t worthy of anyone’s time. It is better just to drop a statement with new COVID-19 guidelines and not take two hours of airtime on TV and Radio. Everyone knows it’s useless and not valuable use of time.

It is tragic that its like this after 35 years in power. However, this is something he has himself created and as long as you impose yourself on people. At one point or another people will stop to listen. With more and more time. That is evident. Just like I have less people reading stories on Museveni than I did in the past. So, it is just proven how little people care about him and his reign of tyranny. Peace.

A look into how Col. Mamady Doumbouya blasts Museveni

Col. Mamady Doumbouya the current day rule of Guinea. Who took power on the 5th September 2021 after overthrowing third term President Alpha Conde .A man who rewrote the Constitution and held a referendum so he could overstay in power. This is one of the reasons for his downfall and gave legitimacy to the Special Forces Group (GPS). Therefore, yesterdays Facebook post addressing Museveni’s condemnation of the coup is very entertaining.

What Col. Doumbouya is saying is striking, as retort to the statement Museveni made recently. Just take a look:

Please stop dictating don’t lecture us on democracy. ECOWAS and AU are a batch of dictators with mentality of occupying and colonizing Africans. Dictators think they will rule African countries as if they are running their families. We are closely following the events and we have learnt that Museveni hasn’t slept ever since we took over power. He has been calling fellow dictators to undermine our leadership” (Doumbouya, 24.09.2021).

His words are poignant and direct. What is striking to call the coup democratic. Yes, Conde was misusing power and overstaying in office. The act of Col. Doumbouya was stopping a man who never wanted step down. Still, his act wasn’t democratic as Doumbouya isn’t elected either. Yes, the people supported his cause and the coup. However, that is because of Conde and not personally towards the new ruler. Therefore, the condemnation of the coup is natural, but Museveni shouldn’t lecture on democracy and neither the organizations in question either. These organizations are shielding the likes of Conde and Museveni.

It is true that Museveni runs his republic like his family and directs it all as a family business. So, it is cool that Col. Doumbouya says that. This is not sort of thing a head of state usually would say. Doumbouya is actually speaking of others like Museveni did in the beginning of his reign. When he was seen as the new-breed, which is a striking turn of events.

He continues:

Museveni should instead focus on his country and rebuild it since he destroyed it long ago to the extent that there is no constitutional order in Uganda. Museveni is the constitution in Uganda and he is still protected by AU a batch of tyrants on our Continent. Museveni family rule in Uganda, he dominates everything and Ugandans have suffered under his hands” (Doumbouya, 24.09.2021).

Here is speaking facts. His not the first to say this and the African Union (AU) has been by many called the “Dictators Club”. The AU is quick to condemn and go after the public, but they are shielding and saving the dictators of the continent. Therefore, Col. Doumbouya is right on the money here. The words on Museveni is just a fitting example and what he says it true. Museveni will dismiss this, but the usage of force and authorities against the citizens is a proof in this regard.

The last cool point from Doumbouya:

Dictator Museveni who is writing missives against us accusing us of being backed by western powers, but he himself is the real agent of the western powers…He was used to gather Intelligence on Omar Al Bashir, he was used by the west to spy on Gadaffi..and he is still doing more for the west.. If he Museveni is working for the west, he is the kind of puppet leaders who don’t know his place in history, and is responsible for the death of Thomas Sankara and Patrice Lumumba, Museveni is a traitor to the new African order…If he continue his outbursts against us, we have more capabilities to undermine him on the African continent and beyond including ending his tyrannical missile in Uganda” (Doumbouya, 24.09.2021).

We know that Museveni have been favoured and worked for causes that has fitted the West. That’s why Museveni have been shielded and not targeted by the West. Even when he has violated their trust and misused power. So, Museveni himself should always be careful to call other puppets and being pawns. As he himself has been and is capable of trading his services for coins. Therefore, Col. Doumbouya is brave saying all this. While saying that Museveni isn’t Pan-African, which is something he always boosting to be. As we all know most of the causes and conflicts has been for personal gain or for the hopes of having a pay-off later down the line.

Therefore, the brutal words of Col. Doumbouya says it all. He states what others wouldn’t dare to say. Neither has Doumboya anything to loose. His a new generation of leader, unless he shows finesse and clarity. Have the ability like Rawlings and will usher in democratic institutions. He will turn into Museveni in matter or time. If not copying Conde himself. As Col. Doumbouya have the flex and flair right now.

Col. Doumbouya is where Museveni was in 1986, which is a long time ago. When he was the hopeful and the future of the Republic. We just have to see what power and the office does to him. If he will do something useful or become a dictator himself. It is easy to throw shade, but harder to step down and give way to the will of the people. That is proven, especially be the gentlemen who uses weapons to take power. Peace.

A look into Museveni’s Statement “On the Military Coups that recently taken place in some African Countries”

On the 5th September 2021 there was a coup d’etat in Guinea. Since then Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni have condemn it. What is striking is that the Ugandan Head of State has interfered and been part of several of coup d’etat’s over the years. It is not like Museveni have gone without using arms or using military force to get his will.

That’s why today’s release of a text written on the 15th September 2021 is striking. He defends his own action while condemning others. Like always he tries to be a history teacher… but it’s not saving him. It only shows how he tries to clean his own hands. While finding ways to attack and go after the ones who does coup d’etat’s. That really weird when you know his own history and how took power.

First piece:

Were we wrong to take up arms against Idi Amin? Not at all. This is because Idi Amin and his fellow golpists in Africa, were almost all of them agents of anti-African interests. We were calling them reactionaries and puppets of foreign interests. Who were they? They were the following: Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Ngbendu Wa Za Banga, Eyadema of Togo, Afrifa of Ghana, Bokassa of Central Africa Republic, Habyarimana of Rwanda, etc etc” (Museveni, 15.09.2021).

What Museveni is doing here is saying that some are righteous, but others are not. He claims that he was right and did it for the right reasons. It is also ironic, because three of the ones mentioned he participated in. Museveni was part of brining Idi Amin, Mobutu and Habyarimana. Amin he was part of a coalition and made him a minister in the council after this. The two others he had already had his coup d’etat in 1986 and went into the countries in Great Lakes Region. Museveni used force, trained and supported coup d’etat in Rwanda and Democratic Republic Congo (DRC). In the DRC he did it twice and not only with Mobutu. That’s why it’s funny that he calls these reactionaries of foreign interests. When the reign of Museveni have gotten the same support, military training and aligned itself with the same powers that kept Mobutu in office. So, his not the right mind to talk about that either.

Second piece:

When summoning former Government Ministers etc, one of them said that if anybody summoned does not come, he/she will be regarded as having declared rebellion!! Really!!

Especially for the politicians, they have a right and even an obligation to say: “No”, to whatever they don’t agree with. Saying “No”, includes not attending meetings called. It is a peaceful way of showing one’s unhappiness” (Museveni, 15.09.2021).

This is also very ironic coming from Museveni. A man who has always sanctioned and targeted the ones who defies his reign. The man who has made life “hell” and hectic for anyone who opposes him. Heck, the man has even targeted the ones that crosses him too. Museveni has gone after all rebels and stifled the ones who doesn’t follow him. That’s why it’s dangerous to be a Movement Rebel and these have paid a price over the years. So, His Excellency isn’t the one to talk about this subject. He is again throwing stones in a glass house…

Third piece:

Finally: “Do the coup-makers have a right to interfere with our destiny?” The answer is a categorical “no”; it is good that the African Union accepted the minimum position of outlawing these coups. The freedom fighters, who themselves have not harmonized well among themselves, but must reject flunkeyism, should have no problem with leaders that do not share their views provided they are elected. Elections means one person, one vote, by secret ballot, at regular intervals. This is the minimum they all have set and it is a good one. If people who do not share our views win the elections, provided they do not engage in extra–judicial killings, we should accept their leadership and struggle against their wrong positions peacefully. The position of one person, one vote, by secret ballot, at regular intervals, is a good minimum position because it addresses the substance of democracy, which means the continuous and perpetual supremacy of the sovereignty of the people. Nobody has a right to interfere with this” (Museveni, 15.09.2021).

Museveni is really himself here. Twisting his tongue, but also justifying himself here. It is really unique that someone who has the knowledge, know-how and expertise in doing coup d’etat’s. As President and rebel Museveni has excelled through these means. Not like he didn’t build a career on the same objective and use of force. Museveni would never have one an election without tampering, rigging and using the authorities against his enemies. That’s why his really not the man to say these things.

Yes, in principle the ideas of democracy and regular elections is true. However, when in concern to Museveni they are just a ploy to legitimacy for his own reign. Therefore, it isn’t really an insight or justified. The man has also over the years used kidnappings, torture, political prisoners and extra judicial-killings. So, it is not like his innocent and a proper statesman of sorts. No, that is only in his deluded ego.

For a man of his stature and with his CV. This text is an utter disgrace. It is like we are not supposed to know what sort of man he is and what he did. He wants to look like a freedom fighter and a liberator. However, he uses the means, which he calls wrong in this here text. That’s why his really an ambivalent leader. Who in theory writes what is right, but in action does the opposite. Because that benefits his own, which is himself and his cronies. That’s why he fears a coup d’etat against himself. Peace.
