Opinion: Charamba is high on his own supply

Presidential Spokesperson George Charamba is delusional. Maybe there is something in the water his drinking in his office. Since, the article released or edited today named ‘Chamisa is Hindering Talks With ED – Govt’ published in the Daily News by Sindiso Mhlope. If it wasn’t for that piece and the quotes from Charamba, I wouldn’t even retort to him today.

Now that the cat is out of the bag. Let’s be clear here. It is not a level playing field. Neither is the POLAD anything else than PR stunts by the government, which Charamba represent. He will not state that, but what has it achieved? Well, pretty little to nothing. Except for feeding the fuel of the useful puppets of the regime within the rest of the opposition.

So, the supposed talks there between Chamisa and Mnangagwa would be fruitless. The premise and the platform is only for press releases and statements. It isn’t made for true reforms or changes within the institutions of the state. No, it is just a work-shop with no tools, no mandate and no results to speak off. That is the state of POLAD and the “talks” with Mnangagwa.

In my mind hindering these talks isn’t a real bother, because what is anyone getting in return? Your putting in no work and you still expect a feast? That isn’t feasible. You need to harvest the food, prepare it and then serve it. However, the state expect a three course meal with fine wine without any burden.

Why do I say it like that?

Well, if ZANU-PF had any legal issues, pounding pressure and was squeezed by the state at every turn. Would you talk to anyone? Would you give way? When the opposing party owns the state and has all power. The ZANU-PF runs everything and has all the advantages. They got everyone pinned their way. Nothing is going in favour of Chamisa and the MDC-Alliance. It is like they cannot even speak before going directly to prison. The MDC-Alliance cannot even be a running party without have some sort of play from the state to stifle their every move.

Therefore, Charamba wouldn’t be all high and mighty if he worked on the toils, the sweat and the hardships, which Chamisa and his comrades are doing. He would be running across the border into exile.

It is like the guys of ZANU-PF is obliviously blind to their own actions towards others. Nevertheless, expect someone like Chamisa to kiss the ground that ED walks. ZANU-PF expect the opposition to just dance to their tune and play along. That is how it looks like with this interview. The spokesperson trying to pin it to be a battle of the ego’s of Chamisa and Khupe. In that regard, Khupe is a pawn of ED at this point. Chamisa is independent, Khupe needs the state to fuel her tank to get anywhere. Therefore, the thought that this is stifling the talks is obnoxious.

Even if there was talks, they would be futile, because what part would the state offer to Chamisa and the MDC-Alliance? What would they give or offer to contribute to the damage, the hurt and the suffering put upon them?

Most likely they are not planning to do that. Since that would mean they need to humble themselves and actually give something up. That is not how this government operates or behaves. They rather bury their enemies, than actually talk to them. That’s why the delusion of the spokesperson is as clear as day. Peace.

Zimbabwe: Khupe’s latest enterprise undress her motives [the MDC debacle]

President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) are working in tandem with the Movement for Democratic Change – Tsvangirai (MDC-T). The MDC-T is the puppets who helps ZANU-PF to destroy the MDC as we know it.

The ones being use is Thokozani Khupe, Douglas Mwonzora, Morgen Komichi and Elias Mudzuri. They are being used to undermine the Movement for Democratic Change – Alliance (MDC-Alliance). Instead of building a strong MDC-T on their own. They initiating several of tricks to destroy and ambush the MDC-Alliance. Since, they got no morals nor credibility to fight the battle against ZANU-PF on their own.

They did it first with the Court Judgment in mid-May 2020 and over the weekend now in June they used the military to evict, arrest and takeover the Harvest House in Harare. This is happening, while the Electoral Commission has suspended elections. There will be no By-Elections for the MPs suspended to give MDC-T time to destroy MDC-Alliance.

This is all done to undermine the MDC-Alliance. That is the reality of it all. If you don’t see that, then your following the drill. The state is using all means to distress to and hijack MDC. That Khupe, Mzonzora, Komichi and Mudzuri doesn’t see it. Maybe, the dollar signs and the POLAD talks have blinded their view. So, they don’t get common sense.

The only thing I see, other than the misuse of power from the state. The inflicting terror on the leadership of MDC-Alliance and activists connected to it. What I do see is some useful stooges. Stooges willingly being played and used by the state to wreck the MDC-Alliance. There isn’t anything else too this.

We could toy around and make conspiracies, but that wouldn’t make sense at this point. Since this is very simple and the motivation is to ensure the MDC-Alliance is busy fixing itself. Than actually being an active opposition. Who has the time to actually fight oppression and a junta, when your under fire every single minute?

These people will never have the time, just to mention a few, these being: Nelson Chamisa, Tendai Biti, Douglas Coltart and Fadzayi Mahere. These people are in trouble no matter what they do. If they are trying to occupy their own offices, if they are trying to get their people out on bond or just speaking out. Since, the ZANU-PF always see a fault and its never good enough. They are not the willing servants of the state. Therefore, they are getting burned at every single step they take.

ZANU-PF and MDC-T are using all the tools of their disposal. The whole shed in the garden is put out. Soon several of the leaders of MDC-Alliance will be in one of the court rooms at Rotten Row on botched up charges or some sort of forged criminal conspiracy. Which is only made, because they want to silence these people at any cost.

They have already decided the leadership and which conference that matters. They have issued orders to intervene and takeover the offices at Harvest House. Next up is just ensuring the ones who defies this pays a price. That is the only thing making sense. Since, they have gotten this far and the MDC-T working in tandem with the state. Want to win and their victory is near. Even if the victory is short-sighted and without merit. They haven’t done it internally, neither with means of popularity from within. No, they have used outsiders to breach the peace and conquer someone else.

If Khupe, the other comrades thinks this is wise. I hate to say it, but its a foolish enterprise. They might get the logo, the title and the house. Nevertheless, they are not getting the glory. They are not owning the support nor the backing that MDC-Alliance really has.

You can fool someone once, but you cannot fool them twice. Then they see through you. They are now seeing the MDC-T as a tool for oppression and following government agenda. If they think this smart. It’s not and will only be their downfall. They might be crowned kings temporarily, but their kingdom will not be real. It’s more likely that Khupe and company arrives without wounds in Narnia, than they become royalties in the real world. Peace.
