“Putin wants to reinstate Yanukovych as president of Ukraine. Viktor Yanukovych is allegedly in Minsk, and the Kremlin is preparing an operation to replace Zelensky with the ex-president ousted by the EuroMaidan Revolution in 2014, according to Ukrainska Pravda’s sources” (The Kyiv Independent, 02.03.2022).
Not shockingly Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to install and hijack the Kyiv government with his former ally and Pro-Russian Viktor Yanukovych. The man who made favourable deals with Moscow and did whatever he could to be connected with the Russian Federation. He was supported by Russian Friendly Campaign Manager Paul Manafort. This is the sort of fella that Putin trusts.
This man “sold-out” Sevastopol in the Crimean peninsula, which was beneficial for the Russian navy and gave them a port of free entry, which was a lease until 2042. So, with a man like that now… isn’t that favourable, because Ukraine is going towards the West and Europe. His the Moscow elite and is a puppet of Putin.
It is a reason why Yanukovych had to flee into exile in 2014. As he fled from the Euro Maidan protests and his now known for embezzling $70 billion. So, he has enriched himself quickly after 4 years as President and earlier years as appointed Prime Minister. This man has been in the chambers of influence since 2002. While he took power in 2010 by a contested elections, which the opposition claimed was rigged in his favour.
What is striking is that Yanukovych isn’t favoured or popular in any sort of fashion. His no Volodymyr Zelensky who won with a popular mandate in 2019. They are strikingly different… and therefore… it is a reason why Putin wants to have Yanukovych. Since he knows that his corruptible and a friend.
When Yanukovych went into exile he called the new government ‘fascists’ which is in-line with what Putin says about Kyiv these days. That why you know his a person of interest in Moscow. The former President will be a traitor and a gangster of the Russian Federation. As he will serve them and not the people of Ukraine. He will only be their marionette and not a representive of Kyiv.
That Putin chooses a man like this, a corrupt and Pro-Russian leader shows how he values Ukraine. It is clear that he rather have a sort of fella like this, than a sort of leader with integrity like Zelensky.
The world should know this and everyone should just look at the man he vouches for. His not a trusted man or a genuine character. Then again, he favours Belarus President Alexander Lukaschenko… so we know his friends is the popular, the righteous or the ones who has a democratic backbone. He prefers tyrants and dictators who a loyal to him and nothing else. Peace.
