Eastern Revolutionary Platform (ERP): Launching document (28.05.2024)

Opinion: The censure motion is showing the true colour of the NRM…

The corruption in Parliament has become unbearable, for some of us who have seen some hidden documents, if you look at them, you wonder who is the clerk to Parliament who is giving out money in a wasteful manner with no details on what that money is going to do. I am asking all MPs who haven’t signed the censure motion to hurry up and if they don’t, I want to ask Ugandans to vote them out if they return asking for votes because they will be useless, and their actions would indicate that they support corruption” (…) “There are people who have been acting as saints like Mpuuga, I wasn’t accused of any corruption (during her censure) but he came out saying we want to sanitize Parliament and we want integrity, but I am not seeing his sainthood. We don’t want this process to be interfered with religious or traditional leaders, we can’t hold negotiations over corruption. Our party NRM is losing support due to corruption, so as me who is against corruption and wish to continue seeing my party in power, I have appended my signature to the censure motion” – Persis Namuganza (28.05.2024)

We have seen how the Censure Motion against the Parliamentary Commissioners are taking affect on the 11th Parliament. Today we see yet another high profiled Minister, Princess Persis Namuganza, the State Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development. She is speaking her mind to the press, but telling some truths at the same time.

We have discussed the open corruption in the den of thieves, which is the Parliament. The Parliament Exhibition showed the darkness and grim face of the national assembly, as the Representatives, the MPs and Ministers are all dining on the expenses of the citizens. They are finding their ways of eating of the plate of others and don’t mind the cost.

Namuganza MP is speaking facts, which we have seen coming. The reports of the back-door dealing and wheeler-dealer enterprise to pay for voting for certain things in the plenary sessions. As money is moving hands and even have rendezvous spots for pick-up of envelopes with millions of shillings for services rendered. Therefore, there is something up and the Minister knows this as well.

No one shocked and in awe of the lack of transparency and accountability of the Parliament. As they don’t want the truth out or who is earning fortunes on being MPs. They have already perks, bonuses and salaries citizens can only dream off. The easy access to wealth…. And riches by just representing a constituency. That’s all you need and who wouldn’t like to sign off.

Namuganza MP knows the game she’s playing. This is an easy way of getting positive vibes. Sounding righteous and ready to face the music. That’s what she is doing, but we know the NRM won’t fight corruption sincerely. They will only do so…. With a few fall-guys and people who take a charge for the cause. They will not fight it totally or anything. Because, that would take away the leverage and ways of the President to have people under his spell.

The NRM will not end corruption, as it thrives on it and keeps itself in office that way. The censure motion only is a game for the public. It is to look like it cares, but the scandals and misuse of state reserves will continue. The heist and the looting will not cease to exist. That isn’t feasible for the elite or the ones in direct association with the State House. Therefore, it is all big talk, but no action.

It is a lot of “hot air” and nothing supporting the act. The signature is fine, but if she wanted to fight corruption. She should use the Plenary Session and bring wrath upon the ones she knows misuses their offices. However, that will not happen and we all know it. Peace.

Opinion: Ssekikubo MP is taking people for fools…

Clean leadership has been the hallmark of NRM, we fight for accountability and transparency. By the way if you have noted, it is the NRM MPs at the forefront of this, the Opposition are wobbling, they are looking through the windows, in the corridors, they run very fast they aren’t putting their heads high. But for MPs who came to the strong promise to fight corruption and poor service delivery, this is another call, send those MPs to do their duty here, they must come to Parliament to discharge the cardinal duty to hold Parliament to account. But they are hiding, they are busy down there, they are in business” (…) “We need something like 177 signatures and Parliament should be the last place to run away from debate. The accusations against the four commissioners, they will have their day to explain themselves, so why should anybody fear to come out and explain the Shs1.7Bn shared amongst commissioners? Parliament is the bastion of transparency and accountability. Where are those MPs who came to Parliament chest thumping that they were going to stand for accountability and transparency? For one reason or the other, some have refused to come because we had wanted by the end of this week to close the registration – Theodore Ssekikubo MP (27.05.2024).

The censoring of the Parliamentary Commissioners and that makes sense after they made themselves a huge payday with their “Service Award”. The additional envelope for serving as Commissioners are a corrupt act and misuse of office. It is noble to discuss it and disown it. However, Ssekikubo MP is forgetting vital things while petitioning the MPs to sign under this.

The 11th Parliament is a den of thieves. The MPs are pocketing funds themselves and if they are going after the Commissioners. They need to look into other additional funds and budget posts that has been created for the MPs and their various roles of the August House. They got the bag and the hustle continues. The racket of being in office is making them rich and finding avenues to eat while they can.

Ssekikubo MP can attack the Opposition for not petitioning this, but we have seen censoring of Ministers, but it is meaning squat. The only thing that is powerful is a decree or a Presidential Order taking an appointment. The President can clip the wings of a Minister, but the Parliament censoring of someone means absolutely nothing.

Ssekikubo MP comes with a Museveni lie about NRM’s “Clean Leadership” because the corruption scandals and “missing funds” is natural staple in the order of things. The NRM thrives on corruption and graft. Everything is a possible scheme and for someone to figure out a way of getting kickbacks from the operation. Therefore, he takes people for granted and don’t think people don’t know. We all see it and its obvious.

He can speak all these big words which have impact, but we know it is meaningless. Especially when there is nothing to enforce it. There is no will and there is no way. The idea is maybe righteous, but the place of purpose it is not.

We have seen people come and go… the stories of bag deliveries and pay-offs to MPs for votes. There are vehicles, suits and whatever reasoning behind it, but the main idea is paying for service rendered, which the citizens would never get. The shillings are moving between the state and the representatives of the state. That’s the game and Ssekikubo MP knows about this… so these people cannot want or have a will for accountability or transparency. Because then the books of dark secrets and kickbacks could come public. Then the skeletons are out of the closet.

Remember…. “Cash rules everything around me C.R.E.A.M… dollar dollar bill y’all”. Peace.

Bobi Wine and the NUP blocked from crossing the Ssezibwa Bridge towards Palisa district….

We’ve been blocked from Ssezibwa bridge on our way to Pallisa District and now we are on our way back to Kampala” (National Unity Platform, 24.05.2024)

The regime can talk all it wants about freedom, liberty and democracy, but it’s actions are in stark contrast to those words. The leadership of Kampala, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and President Museveni can act like they have opened up a Multi-Party Democracy. However, whenever there is a threat or someone who sparks popularity. That’s when the authorities and security organizations targets that political campaigning.

Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and the National Unity Platform (NUP) is on their second part of the Nationwide Mobilization Campaign. Nevertheless, for yet another day and another week it’s getting tear-gassed, road-blocked and meeting hostile law enforcement. NUP Activists being detained and leaders having to consult and negotiate to even be able to move forward. They have to beg to able to gather and meet. Therefore, you know the drill and the gig of the state is up.

The NRM and authorities fears the popularity and the voice of reason in Bobi Wine. They want him silenced and his party too. The ones who stands by his side and who associates with him can be touched too. Therefore, this Nationwide Mobilization is a troublesome affair. The state is using all means and now showing their true nature.

Bobi Wine and his party isn’t allowed to assemble and build their party. As the authorities block it and make it hard to even move. While the NRM says a lot of opposition parties are just working in their headquarters and not outside mobilizing people. It is for a reason why they can’t and cannot do it properly. That’s because there is road-blocks, tear-gas and other obstacles like today.

Today is just evidence of how the NRM operates and what it does to stay in power. The way the authorities does this stop Bobi Wine and his party. That’s all they do and it isn’t funny. It just shows the modus operandi and the impunity that reigns the nation. There is no peace or liberty when it can be so easily taken away from you. Today it’s the NUP and Bobi Wine. Tomorrow it might be someone else in the firing line.

This shows what the state does and how it works. Bobi Wine is just the example of a man trying to make a difference and his not allowed to criss-cross the Republic. That’s the message here and we can all see it. Peace.

Opinion: Bobi Wine will get no favours…

It is now evident that the National Unity Platform (NUP) and the leader of it, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine will face more trouble ahead of the 2026 General Elections. The 2021 General Elections is long gone and the trying times are upon it.

The kidnappings and abductions aren’t ceasing. The NUP is facing trouble from within and usage of political leverage to appease the ones who can be bought. The journey men and the ones fleeing other parties are now seeking a new safety net ahead of the next polls.

There is no denying that the “Red Wave” and the People Power Movement was the strongest ahead of the 2021 election. Now it has stalled and the institutionalization of the NUP has stifled it’s tracks. As well as it has suffered the lack of resolve and measures from within. The leadership in Parliament and beyond are questioned. Not that the NUP has power, but it has little to show for it. That’s the problem it has as an opposition and lacking any majority to seal any sort of political victory. Neither has it been effective in stopping or demonstrating against the regime.

This week the old petition against the state in the Uganda Human Rights Commission for blocking him from performing as an artist and holding concerts. It has been withdrawn and the petitioner has stopped it, before the UHRC has worked upon it or even made it a significant case. We have seen this with the stalling tactics of the state in regard to Dr. Kizza Besigye. Therefore, Bobi Wine is just getting similar treatment to him…

There will be no safeguards or help from the authorities. The authorities and the state has him as a target, a threat and they fear his rise to popularity. That’s why the government friendly media targets him and his associates. The ones who are aligned or dares to challenge the status quo. They are the ones who are possible victims and not the ones who can be shielded from trouble.

The Bad Man from Kamwokya will not be met with law enforcement to seek a better tomorrow. No, they will find something on and pin him on the cross. They are there to ensure his demise and end. That’s what’s the goal is and that’s his been able to run away for so long. Is triggering the ones in authority, as his supposed to lose steam and not be able to promote his vision.

Bobi Wine is supposed to fail and make a briefcase party. The NUP was supposed to crash and burn. There was supposed cases against the constitution and how it was organized ahead of the 2021 elections, and some is trying to forge the same narrative ahead of the 2026 polls. They want to hurt and take away the party that is ushering in a new future for the Republic.

That’s why Bobi Wine can never sleep or rest. He has to be awake and ensure the ones around him is people he trusts. Because people will use him and possibly weaken his cause. They will target him and try to play mind games with him. That’s why he must be careful. Nothing is given to him and neither to the NUP party. It is by default and by codes of the state.

The regime has already targeted the red beret, activists, leaders and planned mobilization of the party. There is nothing given to Bobi Wine and his likes. That’s why allies are Court Martialled or possibly taken by drones. There is nothing the state aren’t willing to do to incite fear. That’s why the NUP will continue to fight with their hands tied. While the state and authorities will belittle every move, because that’s what they do. Peace.

National Unity Platform (NUP): Statement to the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) – (20.05.2024)

Opinion: Nyeko MP is now a political target…

The police are holding Makindye East MP Derrick Nyeko and four other suspects for possession of attire similar to that used by the military. According to Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, this followed a daylong siege at several homesteads in Kamwokya, including an office used by the National Unity Platform. He says the suspects are being processed for court and that this operation will extend to other parts of the country” (NTV Uganda, 14.05.2024).

This story has been told before and will be repeated itself in Kampala. The authorities of the state are like this and will create a crime out of thin air to take away the privileges and livelihood from an opposition leader, in this regard the Derrick Nyeko MP is the target and the one who is the suspect.

This is creating allegations and criminal intent without proof, evidence or anything of such sorts. That’s why they are making a pending case and using the opposition MP as a criminal. Even when his only crime is to stand by the Opposition and being part of the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Nyeko MP as a vocal voice within the opposition is certainly a sore thumb for the National Resistance Movement (NRM). They are now using the UPDF Act against him, but not doing the same towards their own. We have seen several of MPs and High Ranking Officials within the regime wearing attire of the UPDF. However, when an opposition leader has or possess something similar he gets in legal jeopardy.

The state comes with a raid and a house-arrest. They tries to intimidate and show their force towards Nyeko MP. We have seen the authorities keeping opposition activists and leaders captive over the red beret. If not they have said so over other attires too, but allows the allies, associates and regime’s own lackeys can wear uniform or whatnot from the same UPDF. Therefore, this law is only applied for the ones who are defiant of the state.

Nyeko MP is just an example… the man is target and they have shown their cards already. Yet another NUP MP is under fire and we all know the drill. Peace.
