Opinion: Mpuuga’s low energy Thanksgiving…

“A section of Mathias Mpuuga’s supporters burst into a song in Luganda loosely translated into English as, “What are they accusing him of? Mpuuga did not steal.” This was shortly after the thanksgiving mass held at Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka” (NTV Uganda, 21.06.2024).

The former Leader of Opposition and currently Parliamentary Commissioner, Mathias Mpuuga MP are today holding a Thanksgiving in Masaka. That’s to show his leadership and connections, as it is a move of power. He wants to show that he stills matters and can sway public opinion. However, Mpuuga seems like a lost duck now.

It wasn’t long ago that the NUP went on a Mobilization Tour to Masaka and the picture was totally different. Those pictures and videos shows where Mpuuga has failed. The NUP which Mpuuga is supposed to work together with and be a part of. Didn’t help him here and the public disdain for him is obvious. Because if they supported him like Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Then the streets would be flooded and there would be a hard time to drive the convoy of vehicles on the streets of Masaka. However,r we see that isn’t the case in regard to Mpuuga.

The ones saying this problem within the NUP leadership. No, it is much bigger, as the misuse of office and siphoning funds are the grand issue. The NUP wants to be difference from the regime itself. Then it cannot have representatives and leaders who acts like the National Resistance Movement (NRM). If there is no difference from them. Why should people pick the NUP instead of the NRM?

The ones acting like this is a Bobi Wine versus Mathias Mpuuga. It is much bigger than that. It is the Mpuuga versus Uganda. It is him versus the State. A state that he has no trouble eating directly from the state coffers. As an MP he can take funds from the state reserves for personal reasons. That isn’t a sort thing that you should promote, but this is what Mpuuga does.

Mpuuga MP is willing to sacrifice his career and name over 500 million shillings. Regardless of other MPs misuse of office. That doesn’t save him or his agency in this regard. Mpuuga MP could have avoided it and been shielded himself from actions like these. However, he decided to be corrupted and eat of the plate of others.

That’s why people cannot forgive him… and we will not. We can expect this sort of action from NRM MPs and NRM Ministers. Nevertheless, we should hope that the opposition would be different and have some moral backbone to not accept to participate in this sort of behaviour. No one should do it, but we know the system is rigged for it. Therefore, people will eat, but some people should have the courage and be bold to say “no”. Peace.

Opinion: Alootia Continua Ssebo…

“The biggest problem we have now is corruption. This corruption is not happening on the moon, it’s happening in the district, sub-county, and constituency. I have opened a war on the corrupt, so, make sure that you are not in my gun sight. We cannot let our people down” (Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 20.06.2024).

We have heard the “A Luta Continua” from the ones who fight the good fight and for liberation. This phrase is well known and a part of social fabric by now. It is used as a term and a we know it for a reason.

Now in 2024 after all the years in power. The usage is losing meaning, and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) cannot use this sincerely. “The Struggle Continues” aren’t what the NRM and the State House works on.

No, the NRM and the State House is busy looting. They are continuing the looting of the state reserves. The loot is vital and important for the government. The Government of Uganda and the regime itself thrives on the siphoned funds, corruption and graft.

President Museveni can act like it is just some small cases, but it is a system at this point. The grease that builds and destroys. The means to an end is the envelopes, the service awards, and presidential handshakes. That’s what is happening, and we have seen it happening for years.

Yes Ssebo, we know the drill and the modus operandi. If there is a wheeler-dealer and a foreign investor around. He or she has to visit the State House and get connected correctly. Just so the kickbacks and everything can circulate in the right direction.

The NRM and the government is so close to be run like a racket. They are saying they are cracking down on a racket within the Ministry of Finance, but certainly it is deeper than that. Because MPs are finding ways to eat. Cabinet Ministers are misusing their offices and suddenly government services are taken for granted. There are just such a vast enterprise of actions…

Museveni can act like he wants to fight it and stop the practice of corruption. Nevertheless, that would kill his government. He would stop the initiative and the means to his end. He corrupts the high-ranking officials and that way they will be loyal to him. They are getting ill gotten gains, but at the same time they have to be loyal to the President. He says nothing and acts like nothing. As long as they serve his purpose and does what he wants. They vote for his acts and budget posts, which enriches himself too. Therefore, it is a system created to eat and don’t care about the government services.

I have totally given up on the idea that Mzee or Museveni ever wants to resolve or chase the ones participating in these sorts of practices. That would mean he would dissolve government and revoke the whole Parliament too. He had to so destroy and deplete his whole system. Because none of the mechanisms and organizations that he has built is doing anything substantial either. It is more just busy-bodies and ability to hire cronies in privileged offices. However, they don’t have to do anything and challenge anyone of prominence.

That’s why we have seen it all and heard it all. The President can speak like he cares, but his inaction speaks much more. We have been here before…

So before we think he would do anything… 40 years in power and it is just a part of life now. It is what Museveni, and his cronies has created. It is a beast they have fed over the years and now it’s fat. Peace.

The impunity knows no bounds: The criminal history of Hon. Paul Akamba…

Busiki County MP Hon. Paul Akamba, one of the MPs who was remanded over allegations of budget corruption is seized and thrown into a waiting vehicle. Akamba was apprehended while exiting court after his bail application” (NTV Uganda, 14.06.2024).

UPDATE: The Anti-Corruption Court has denied bail to Hon. Cissy Namujju and Yusuf Mutembuli and remanded them till 17th June when they will return. Hon. Paul Akamba has however been granted a UGX 13 million cash and UGX 100 million non-cash bail. The three legislators are battling alleged corruption-related cases” (NBS Television, 14.06.2024).

Police motorcade whisks away the three legislators from Kira Police Divisional Headquarters in Wakiso District. Mr Yusuf Mutembuli of Bunyole East, Paul Akamba of Busiiki county and Lwengo District Woman MP Cissy Namujju were first quizzed at CID Headquarters yesterday before being taken to Kira Police Divisional Headquarters where they spent a night” (Daily Monitor, 11.06.2024).

In the recent days and this week, the name of Paul Akamba MP has gotten more well known. I cannot remember his actions in a Plenary Session or even in a Committee in Parliament. In the 11th Parliament, the Busiki County MP has been rather silent or without a purpose. He hasn’t created a profile or been vocal MP.

Nevertheless, his apparently a part of racket within the Ministry of Finance. As he has solicited funds and misused his office to get bigger personal gains. He is one out of three MPs who has been arrested and made a case of. They are the current “fall-guys” and “scapegoats” of the Republic.

We have seen these sorts of drills before, as the State and the Authorities goes after some “high-ranking officials” but never the true kingpin. Take out some smaller down the food-chain, but never the ones who has real power or substantial to the ruler. No, only the ones who are minor league players and never the ones playing in the Premier League.

That’s where Paul Akamba MP is and where he has resided for now. At this very moment and day. He got a taste of a “black mamba” or a “drone”. The plain clothed law enforcement or security agents, which just picks a person up and detains them without warrants or any knowledge of their whereabouts. Akamba MP got picked up like a chicken thief or a NUP activist.

This is the impunity and the lack of concern for rule of law. The MP could have been acting in disregard of the law and acted with intent to solicit ill gotten gains. That might be true, but that has to be proven that he was part of racket within the government. To arrest someone of doing and building a case against them is the job of the authorities. However, the manner of which he was arrested or kidnapped was wrong after receiving bail.

He was maybe the only one out of three MPs who got bail. That bail should have been honoured. As of being under bail. The man wouldn’t be free, but be stipulated to follow court orders and attend when the Courts says so. Therefore, what happened outside the court isn’t right. He shouldn’t been taken away this way. No one should be and it’s totally unacceptable.

This is acting with viciousness and vindictiveness. The MP deserves better and no one should get this treatment. The MP should answer for his sins in court and have a proper trial. The state should have evidence, proof and witnesses proving the racket. So, that the ones implicated can be charged, sentenced and then serve time. However, here they are jumping the gun and treating him as a criminal. As if his guilty and doesn’t’ deserve to be out on bail.

That’s wrong. We all know this is wrong and shows the problems of the law enforcement in the Republic. Shows how things are done and it shouldn’t be this way. Akamba MP should have to go through this and neither his family either. They are now getting treated as sub-human and not valued as a citizen. Just as another common crook and villain who deserves to be hidden away from society. That’s being done long before any sentencing or verdict was made. It is outrageous, but sadly a common sight in the Republic. Peace.

Opinion: Aya and the Pearl of Africa Hotel is a sign of everything wrong with the nation

“There were old government buildings for the Ministry of Information here but Uganda was not earning anything; instead, it was spending money to maintain them” (…) “Then these people said the spot was underutilised and that it could bring in more money. If a woman is barren, you don’t chase her away, but you devise ways to get one who produces” – President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni (March 2013).

The Aya brothers, the Aya Investments Limited and their Pearl of Africa Hotel is only causing headaches. The supposed magnificent hotel at Nakasero hill on the old Uganda Broadcasting Company (UBC) building. Certainly, is a sign of the times and how the National Resistance Movement (NRM) have built up foreign investments in the Republic.

The President has vouched for the men behind the scheme. President Museveni has ordered and ensured the land, the funding and gave way to the Aya brothers to build a hotel on government land. While aiding the UBC to flee the premises on the prospects of a big hotel to fill in possible voids of luxury accommodation in Kampala.

The hotel is now only 11 years old and has been bankrupt since 2021. The hotel was supposed to be sold 3 years ago and again the President asks the South African investors who funded the building of the hotel to halt the sale. Since the Aya brothers or Aya Investment Limited doesn’t have the funds to cover their debt.

A state that paid off the UBC and moved the state-owned broadcaster. Gave land and ensured the funding of the hotel. Now, the state must ensure the hotel is still operational and buying time for them. A President has to interfere and defend the company. That’s a telling story of micro-management and how involved he is in minor matters of the Republic.

It is a telling story when it back dates to the needs of the state in 2006 and starts to build in 2007, but by some accounts the grand opening of the hotel was in 2017. While there are reports that they already opened for clients in 2013. Therefore, the whole enterprise is a long journey of failure and government support of the business.

We know the state has coughed up funds for the Aya brothers and for the consultants building the hotel. The state now has to re-assure the creditors and possibly pay them off as well. While the hotel isn’t a money-making machine, but another bottomless pit of misery.

The public has paid money for this hotel, and they will continue to do so. Especially, when the President is so involved and has a say in it. You know he has had a part of it and used his leverage in it. That’s why these matters to him and he had asked for the South African investors to hold on the sale. Meaning he wants his cut and wants to have his say.

The ones that believe it is out of his goodwill and good heart is foolish. Museveni wouldn’t touch this, if he didn’t get something out of it and more than the prestige of a new fancy hotel in Kampala. That’s not what Museveni needs, but surely, he needs the greatness and proof of wealth creation that comes with the building and operating a hotel of this scale. Peace.

Opinion: Besigye won’t be on the 2026 ticket

The Katonga fraction of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) are now mobilizing members and trying to figure out the future of the group. That’s for anyone who follows and is inspired by the leadership of Dr. Kizza Besigye. The resilient and hardworking politician, which has been in legal jeopardy through out his political career. No one has more charges and cases against him, but no sentencing or such. Therefore, his a force to be reckon with and be inspired by.

Besigye in 2024 isn’t as big as he was in the past. Neither is he irrelevant or a relic of the past. No, his still resounding his words and getting headlines. As he battles old pending “criminal” cases and being on the road as a political figure. His working tirelessly for the cause and for the peaceful liberation of the nation. Regardless, that if he will see it himself or it will be for the next generation.

We saw that he didn’t stand for Presidency or be the Flag-bearer of the FDC Party in 2021. The last time he was a Presidential Candidate was in 2016 and after that he made the proxy government, the People’s Government for the 2016-2021 term. As a way of showing defiance and working outside the mechanisms of the state. Since he saw the election as illegitimate and knew the results was in his favour.

Alas, for a man that has run as Presidential Candidate for term after term. A man who stood tall after coming back from exile. While being taken into custody, charged with treason and other penal codes to stifle his movement. The usage of Public Order Management Act to stop his gatherings and mobilization. In such a manner, that he couldn’t public will or be able to spread the message fast enough. As the blockade of radio shows and others didn’t make it possible for everyone to hear what he had to say.

A man who has been house-arrested for days upon days, months upon months and pre-emptively arrested before leaving his home or even trying to convene his political party. They even stopped him from attending national prayers and bringing the faith together after the elections. That’s what has happened to Besigye.

This is why Besigye matters still… not because his willing to stand as Flag-Bearer or being the man on the ticket. No, he won’t be on the ballot in 2026. Deep inside he knows its futile and won’t serve him any good. Neither will it serve his cause or what he works for. It is only spending time within the framework and the system that the overlords has created. He will play onto the instruments of the state and give them legitimacy. That’s why it has no value to be part of the next general election.

Besigye knows all of it and saw how it ended in 2016. As an outsider looking in 2021. He surely knows things won’t be better in 2021. He has seen it all since 2001. Been part of 2006, 2011 and 2016. Besigye has tried and failed, but he was the victor in many people’s eyes. People had faith in him and his cause years ago. The streets was buzzing and was ready for him…

While the system was rigged against him and the guns saluted only Museveni. That’s why he never got a chance and was blocked from entering the high offices. This is why he had to go back to the drawing board and return to the streets. There was nothing else for Besigye. Neither would anyone else offer him a hand or give him the power to overcome this obstacle.

No, he had no support or outreach to get there. Neither was the population or citizens tired enough of the regime. They are still silently adapting and allowing it to interfere in their lives. The citizens are allowing the laws to be taken for granted and used against their leaders. That’s what the state does… and they still remain silent.

That silence is the reason why Besigye never received the crown. That’s why he wasn’t sworn-in and became the Head of State. It was all… because of the reluctant people who wouldn’t challenge the High Above head-on and not give way, which it did.

This is why Besigye won’t be on the ticket or be the flag-bearer…. And why should he? There is nothing to gain or collect. He won’t get what he deserves and now there is a new leader in town that’s taking up the mantle. Therefore, he can take the blunt force and get the humiliating treatment, which Besigye got in the past. That’s what Bobi Wine has to go through. He has to fight and continue to be a burden for the state. As long as he campaigns and works for the People Power Movement and the NUP.

Besigye isn’t sidelined, but decided to be an inspiration. Be a one of honour and a man of wisdom. That’s who he is right now. He is a man people should listen to and try to understand. As he has fought and stood on the barricades. Getting violently treated and been in the trenches. No one should insult his career or what he stood for.

Besigye did fight. It isn’t important for him to become the President. It is more important to ensure proper liberty and freedom. Something the regime isn’t serving the population. It is only giving partial of everything and taking everything else for themselves. Peace.

A glaze at Mzee’s 2024 State of Nation Address…

“If we punish all the corrupt, whom shall we work with?” – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (06.06.2024).

Here we go again…

Another year, another shilling. Aye?

President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni coming with lectures of historical matters. Where he speaks of his generational leaders, which he happened to meet at a long forgotten age. At a speech and ceremony that is more pompous and more procedural than anything. With the withering years. The gravitas and the worthy of it falls apart too. Because, nothing is legit or sincere about it.

The President comes with statistics, records and numbers, which makes everything sounds supreme. While the citizen doesn’t feel that way. Neither is there anywhere near any sort of flimsy hope that he will deliver anything substantial. The mood is grim and the tiredness of the regime is overshadowing it. The lies are in the open and the truth isn’t what the President is saying. His speaking poetically about the past and about pan-africanism, but his actions speaks otherwise; and we know it…

The main thing about the speech this year is the Parliament Exhibition and the open Grand Corruption of his government. The President comes with no substantial answer or response to it. Just more empty words and word-salads that isn’t worthy of a articulate response. Just more of the same hogwash and empty threats, which is worthless in the grand scheme of things. We know the corrupt in his proximity gets of the hook anyway and lives to see another day. So, who is he kidding here?

I have been hearing stories that there is a racket from the Ministry of Finance to Parliament. I have been hearing but now I have proof. They work with accounting officers from different ministries to come to parliament to ask for certain funds and then they share the money. For sure the corrupt don’t know how strong we are, we are patient but if you make a mistake, you will see”(Museveni, 06.06.2024)

Public servants and political leaders that steal Government money are corrupt and will be crushed. There are, however, other actors, that get bribes from foreigners to work for foreign interests. These are both corrupt and traitors and we are monitoring their activities. If they do not stop; and with evidence, we shall deal with them. As part of fighting corruption, it is crucial to save the amateurish political actors who come into politics without knowing that leading people does not mean carrying them on your head. It means that you show them the way. The situation of the inexperienced, careerist minded leaders who do not listen to the advice of the NRM, is further complicated by the blood thirsty parasites in the form of the unregulated money lenders who charge extortionate interest rates from these desperate political actors when they come to borrow money for unuseful expenditures” (Museveni, 06.06.2024).

He can act like we don’t know. The President acts like the public don’t know or see how he operates from the State House. This is his government and the manners of how he runs his organization. It is his appointees and people he has entrusted with offices. They are all surrounding him and he accepts this sort of behaviour. He thrives in it and the misuse of office is common practice. Therefore, we know the gist and the deal.

President Museveni cannot combat something that gives him leverage and the upper-hand on his cronies. He uses their greed and nepotism for his advantage, as he prolongs his stay in office. While he has corrupt officials that he can grease the wheels for and get loyalty from. They are willing to serve him because he ensures that they can eat. Regardless of the method or way they did it. As long as everyone is happy and gets their cut.

That’s why the State of the Nation in 2024 was useless. He didn’t really address anything sincere. We have heard some parts of this speech before and its tiring. Peace.

Opinion: Basalirwa is the Grandmaster of Useless Noise…

Three months after the birth of the Holy Alliance, the chairperson of the new establishment and president of JEEMA, Asuman Basaalirwa says they are working behind the scenes and soon, their activities will be made known” (NBS Television, 05.06.2024).

The Bugiri Municipality, the Justice Forum (JEEMA) and the People Power Movement must wonder if they were tricked or used, because the Human Rights Lawyer and MP Flagbearer at the time, Asuman Basalirwa sounded like a reasonable guy. At one point he seemed like a decent fella and someone who deserved a shot. However, in June of 2024 we can say everyone was wrong…

Basalirwa MP was a wasted vote and seems like a useless MP. Yes, he got the Anti-Homosexuality Act enacted. That’s his achievement in the 11th Parliament. The rest of the time he has betrayed the opposition and the People Power Movement. He could have resigned from the Opposition and just turned into a puppet for the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

If Basalirwa MP is running as a NRM flag-bearer in 2026. No one would bat an eye and be shocked. He has worked for more the causes and policies of the state. The idea of him being in opposition is foolish at this point. His only opposition in the name, but not in spirit or in action.

He is openly engaging in disputes and taking part for others in the Parliament. Saying he is offered being the lawyer of two other MPs and will sue the ones who petitioning the August House to censure the Parliament Commissioners. That’s what his doing of late and it shows how little tact or even humility he has.

There is no gravitas or even courtesy in regards to this MP. Basalirwa is unadulterated and lack of quorum. His just a brute and it isn’t cute. He can use religion as a shield, but that doesn’t save him from his sins. Neither does his greed or his naked ambition. A man who cannot be loyal or even stand by the people who helped him back to Parliament. Basalirwa MP has ditched and works against the people who entrusted him. That’s the favour he gives them and he does it deliberately too.

Basalirwa MP has become useless. I don’t know where the value for his seat or office. As a person, individual or even representative his just wasted airtime. He shouldn’t be there and isn’t worthy of representing others. Especially, when it becomes personal and becomes a cash-grab. The MP should just give way and let other represent the constituency. There must be a more credible, honourable or even honest character than him. His a career politician and seemingly a man who seeks validation and possible new revenue streams. Therefore, he isn’t great or deliver any grandeur.

That’s why it’s time to call out the jokes, the mockery and the insincerity of him. Basalirwa MP needs to booted out and Bugiri Muncipality has a short of doing so in 2026. That’s when they should vote for someone else and hope he/she serves them better. Not that they need to do much, because Basalirwa has set the standard so low. Peace.

Opinion: Mpuuga MP is 500 million shillings richer and runnin’

“When they say that if you accept and apologize we shall forgive you, who speaks about corruption and forgiving in the same line? Who are you?” – Mathias Mpuuga MP (05.06.2024)

I don’t know why Mathias Mpuuga went on NBS Television and spoke his mind, as he was invited to speak on the matter of national importance, the State of the Nation Address, which the President is soon to preside over in Parliament. Alas, he had a theme, but it ended up speaking about the Service Award and the inner-party reaction to it.

Mpuuga MP is trying to run away from Service Award and his role as a Parliament Commissioner. He has to be held accountable and haven’t been transparent about his actions. That’s why his being a person of interest and is under fire.

The MP has had the time and even gotten the ability by his own party to resign from his role. A Party that has given him the ability to be the Leader of Opposition and later the Commissioner. He should be lucky that they didn’t do more or ask for more from him. Just that he gives way and stepped down.

Nevertheless, the greed and the arrogance is more important. He has to stand tall and be on point. They are saying his a wiseman and a seasoned politician. As an MP he has shown years of experience, but he hasn’t handled this wisely. If he had.. .he would have resigned and this would have died more down. As he would have acted and been more sincere.

Instead his a man who takes 500 million shillings, which is a unjustified perk and extra-ordinary pay-off for his work as a Parliament Commissioner. That’s why he thinks he deserves it and is a man who should get it. Even when everyone knows it is a outrageous misuse of office and added public expenditure on him.

The peculiar thing about Mpuuga is that he spoke against people himself. In his earlier days in the Activists 4 Change (A4C) he would have rebuked and demonstrated against himself. As a man in the trenches and an activist, he would have written a Press Release and been vocal against MPs like himself. However, when he got power and prestige, he wanted to eat as the predecessors he spoke up against.

That’s why Mpuuga is an example of how a man of principle is worthless when he doesn’t stand by these words or even the acts of the past. He would have been on the streets and called for the public to rally against himself. That’s because there is no proper justification for the Service Award. However, he would never do that… and he knows it himself too.

The ones who fought with him in those days should feel betrayed and disgusted of what he become. He became the same sort of fella he wanted gone. Mpuuga has become the person he would have fought. That is a telling story and shows how wrong he is, but his using every opportunity to defend himself. Because he knows… perfectly well… that there is no coming back from this. Peace.

Opinion: Nanyonga, the ignorant MP…

The last 24 hours has been hectic for National Unity Platform (NUP), Member of Parliament, Veronica Nanyonga, the Woman MP of Bukomansimbi District. The former Democratic Party candidate for the same district and now NUP representative.

She has gotten into hot weather over the acts of signing the censure motion of the Parliament Commissioners. The MP claims she didn’t know what she signed off on and that’s a particular way to put it.

As an MP she should study, check and be able to read the documents in front of her. She should have the mental capacity to check and see if it is a genuine or righteous thing to do. It shows that she’s just following the crowd and dancing to whatever that fits the tune. Just thinking it was the attendance list and not the censure motion. Alas, she could have read the header of the page to know what it was. Certainly, one of the minutes of the shadow cabinet would have been designated to this.

That’s why the MP should know better and now only showing ignorance. Pure unadulterated ignorance of it’s purest form. If she thinks its wise to remove her signature or trying to disassociate herself with the motion. Well, she’s at a loss.

The MP should know better and the motion is created out of a need to sanction and hold people accountable at the August House. The Service Award that is haunting the Parliament Commissioners. As she signed the motion, she partake in the proceedings and the gesture of supporting the cause of action against the greedy Commissioners. However, with revoking or disassociating herself. She is being lax about the thing and it’s not a good look.

She is either ignorant about the paperwork around her or about the pending case against the Parliament Commissioners. As an MP she should represent and act on behalf of her constituents. I wonder if they would be happy that she acts in this way and isn’t concerned about the aftermath.

Nanyonga has the right to not participate in the proceedings. Nevertheless, she has taken a step and made amends. She should reconsider her stances and especially if she is concerned about corruption and misuse of office in the future. Because the MP is either behind graft or blind to it. As an MP she can either act against it or being ignorant about it. I go for the latter, because I don’t think she really wants to work against it. If she wanted to campaign or be a voice against corruption. She wouldn’t have revoked or withdrawn her signature. Therefore, this doesn’t add up and we can beg to question her actions.

It would have been better if she had remained silent or done nothing. That would have been better. We wouldn’t have discussed her or her role for that matter. Peace.

Opinion: The NRM MPs needs guidance of the President before signing off on anything…

I earlier guided members that they should wait for the guidance of my boss, who is the Government Chief Whip (Hamson Obua), he also went ahead and guided that no member of the NRM caucus should sign on the censure forms until we get the guidance of the national Chairman, who is also President Museveni. However, there are those who have signed, still when we sit as caucus, we shall have to ask them to withdraw their signatures because as a Party, we always come up with a position and we always stand by our position” (…) “I am not saying that the President is happy with whatever is happening, but I am saying we wait for his guidance on the approach on how we should get that issue. We aren’t saying we support whatever move or what is happening, but the issue is, what does the Chairman say about it? The guidance is key. The baganda say with age comes wisdom, so we must wait for the guidance of the elder. I don’t think he is happy, but his guidance will clear all those anomalies” – Herbert Kinobere (Kibuku County) MP, Vice Spokesperson of the NRM Caucus (04.06.2024).

We have told you, but now the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is confirming what we already knew. The NRM has told this isn’t the case and that their MPs are independent. They are working on their own, but in reality we knew they were puppets who bark and make noise when their master allow it.

President Museveni and the NRM CEC directs what the NRM Caucus is doing. The NRM Caucus has to await direction or guidance to where it goes. The President has to have a word and a say before anything happens. Because, if they act without his word or wisdom, they will interfere or act in spite of his vision. They have to disciplined and be orderly following the NRM Way. That means blind and dumb until the President has enlighten them.

This shows how the machinery is working. The NRM is a clockwork for the President and his every whim. These people cannot act upon their own will or do what is right for the nation. No, they have to serve and be loyal cadres of His Excellency. This is why they cannot do what is righteous or sincere, because they got to get a thumbs up from the high above. That’s really a sad sight, but where the NRM is at the moment.

President Museveni must be happy in Kibobere and Obua who are serving him so diligently and without any hesitation be his aide. That’s who they are and this is why he trust them. They are working directly for him and not for the constituents. Neither is the other NRM MPs who are awaiting for the order and the will of their dear leader. The Supreme Leader and Patriotic Saint has to say his word and bless whatever move he deems fit. That’s what the servants and the lackeys have to await for.

It is really compelling reading this. That the NRM MPs should sign of on a petition or motion, unless the President haven’t had a say. This is telling about their “independence” and their own mandate as representatives. As they are just there to rubber-stamp and be custodians for his mighty hand.

President Museveni must be giddy that he has been able to take this far. As the President has this ultimate power and can get his way regardless of who is elected. He got them in his hand and now we have to see what he says. Peace.
