Opinion: Mwangi Kiunjuri is he selling butter or tropical mints now?

Mwangi Kiunjuri, the fall-guy, the sacked agriculture secretary in January 2020. The man who said locusts matured and wasn’t dangerous anymore. This man is now unleashing his own party. This being The Service Party (TSP).

People have mocked him over the logo and righteously so. It looks like a mix of Blue Band Butter and KSL. Others has wondered if he copied the KSL and the Tropical Mints. Whatever his selling it’s not trading well. The storage remains full and the bankruptcy is ticking in.

This is the first day and the launch. It should have been with flair and fanfare. Alas, it was a softball and joke. He should have hired a comedian and a singer to sing-a-long, because this wasn’t cutting it.

Kiunjuri is doomed. It is just a matter of how and when. If he thinks this will fly for 2022. Then his delusional or have some secret backers to help him out. He needs some serious cartels to pay for his drive and his party.

Maybe even have a consolidation fund to cover challenges from businesses suing over copying of their traded logos, if it is KSL or Blue Band. What we do know is that this is not useful. The former CS is selling himself short.

Also the name is weak tea. The Service Party? TSP? The Second Party? The Sanctuary Party?

I wonder who he plans to service? What sort of service? Will it have insurance or if your not happy can you return it?

It doesn’t sound like a party with any ideal or vision. Just a brief-case party to keep Kiunjuri preoccupied in opposition. That he has an office and feels important. His the leader of The Service Party for heavens sake. The mighty, the serviceable and well organized TPS. Peace.

Opinion: CS Mwangi Kiunjuri axed today

Well, Mr. Take a Photo of Locust and post on it Social Media, then the professionals at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation statement the other in the media. This is the man who was reshuffled away or axed from the Kenyatta Cabinet on the 14th January 2020. Not that its deserving to sack CS Mwangi Kiunjuri.

But, his a long-term ally of Deputy President William Ruto. A man who help to intimidate witnesses for the ICC case of the ones in power. CS Kiunjuri was first the CS for Devolution and Planning for two years, until he was appointed on the 26th January 2018 as the CS for Agriculture and Irrigation. So, he got close to two years there too, but this time his out and no new deployment.

That is why his axed. The man of the Maize, Sugar, Rice, Tea and Coffee Cartels. As his helped them and been a cushion for them. Ensured their enrichment over the farmers, while they use the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) to give favourable deals between traders over farmers. Therefore, the cartels and inside trading benefits the traders, not the farmers.

That is why the golfer, the long time MP and CS didn’t do his work properly. He surely has enrichen himself as an MP. As he got over 700 million shillings over the years in Parliament. While, he has gotten connections with Ruto and others. His been part of dam scandals and others, where he surely gotten something sweet.

With the two years as CS of Agriculture, he most likely found some ways to his pockets too. That is why he will miss the bargain of being there. As he could ensure the rotting cereals, while importing UNGA, Sugar and whatnot else for the benefit of the cartels. Since, the pricing of the state would maybe not be beneficial of the ones there.

Now, the man has fallen, but not expect changes in the Ministry. That’s a fools hope at this point. There was no big change in Bett and will be little or nothing with the next. Only a new face and soon new scandals involving farming goods. Just await a sugar, tea, coffee or such scandal in a few months time. It is inevitable.

Kiunjuri might be a useless minister, but he knew how to keep the cartels mobilized and secure them funds. So, that they could oil the political machinery in parliament and the patrons of the industries. That is what it does and will continue. There are two many big-men eating of this plate to stop it. It is too much at stake, that is why the DCI and whatnot else doesn’t investigate it. They just let it go.

Now, Kiunjuri is let go. It is not a sad day, maybe for the Cartels, but they will get a new puppet under a new name and flag. This revolution will not be televised, but experienced in homes across the Republic. As the Maize, Sugar, Coffee, Tea and Rice will be used as a tool by the cartels, as there is no interest stopping them.

Not under Kiunjuri, not under Bett and whatever the new CS is. It will not happen, only go skin-deep if only so. Peace.

Opinion: Jubilee rocked by another Maize Scandal?

In this treacherous world

Nothing is the truth nor a lie.

Everything depends on the color

Of the crystal through which one sees it” – Pedro Calderón de la Barca

The Jubilee government have another level of corruptness over themselves. The President is brazen in his public fight with corruption, but the behavior of the government is corrupt as it possibly can be. The things of nature, is that it repeat itself. This time without government subsidizes like it was on the way to the Fresh Presidential Elections of 2017. When the maize was subsidized and the maize came from Mexico. Then rebranded and restocked as local produce.

Now, were in the middle of 2018 there was also extra attention to it, as the National Cereal and Produce Board had already bought imported maize to stock, while the locals had to get lesser pay while selling to the millers. As that has happen and the months has gone by, there are now reports. That the NCPB silos has destroyed 60% of its maize. That is imported maize that has already cost the taxpayers about ksh. 9 billion and now they have to import more. This is happening right in the 4 Quarter and before the festive seasons of Christmas Carols and jingle bells.

Clearly, this seems like a ploy, as the Deputy President William Ruto are promising farmers more money and another ksh. 2 billion to buy more stock. This is consequence of the importing of 4.4 million bags of maize. We can wonder who are earning fortunes on these games with the farmers and with the citizens needing to buy the maize flour, the UNGA. This is the staple food the government is making a mockery of.

This is meanest way of destroying confidence and also showing utter disgrace of office. As the NCPB and Ministry of Agriculture, the CS Mwangi Kiunjuri and Chairman Mutea Iringo. Both of them should come clean in this mess. It is evident there is something behind the curtain and someone is trying to fool someone. As the NCPB and CS Kiunjuri should spare no mind, explaining how they could buy rotting maize and toxic of it, while also struggling to pay local farmers. If not, there are something else going on.

As there other interests, than paying the farmers a fair price, as the imported ones from Uganda and Mexico is hitting the markets at a lower price. While the farmers struggle to sell their produce to the NCPB. This is all deliberate acts, as the millers and cartels are securing huge profits of the imported ones. While the local produce are wasted and destroyed. Now, even the foreign ones isn’t all good and suddenly destroyed. The utter chaos and the mismanagement is clear. Even as the NCPB are calling themselves “The Leaders in Grain Management”. When concerning Maize, they are not, unless they are following orders of cartels and from above.

This all seems weird, it all seems like a deliberate act of misconception to get higher prices, trick the citizens and get more profits for the millers and importers. Not to generate a better environment or even selling the staple food at a reasonable price. The Jubilee government have tried to trick the public before with UNGA. Therefore, I am skeptical about the beneficiary and the ones getting paid by this scheme. As the amounts of money and the toll on the economy, as the NCPB and Ministry should know better.

Clearly, another Maize scandal, but this government are rocking with scandals all the time. Peace.
