Kenya: Raila Odinga Presidential Secretariat – Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga’s Tribute to H.E. President Mwai Kibaki (22.04.2022)
Opinion: I don’t see what’s wrong with Ng’eno’s statement [and only see that he hit the pride of the President]
“You are not Kenya and Kenya is nor Kenyatta’s or Mama Ngina’s land. This land belongs to 47 million Kenyans, you cannot run it as you wish, Moi and Kibaki finished their terms and left, you should do the same next year when the time comes” – Johana Ng’eno MP (07.09.2020).
I didn’t know that President Uhuru Kenyatta was a deity and transcendent between the holy land and the mortal world. Kenyatta must be immortal and cannot be offended. The ground that the President walks on has to be praised. You cannot state anything against him… because, if you do? You will be in trouble like the MP.
Ng’eno MP is even expelled by KANU, who has made a coalition with the Jubilee. This means the Jubilee is already working with Gideon Moi. Another honourable gentlemen from a dynasty. A man that Ng’eno mentioned in his statement. That is the father of Gideon and the former President. Nick Salat does this for political capital, but its very little to gain.
That the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji and the National Police Service is issuing statements, but also charges on Ng’eno for this. Shows, that one family is more important than the freedom of expression. The Kenyatta’s are untouchable and the Moi family needs to salvaged too. Since, they are dismissing him for speaking ill of Uhuru.
There is certainly not Uhuru, neither is there are coherent Ubuntu. There is just a mess. A self-inflicted mess by the state. Yes, Ng’eno challenged the Kenyatta’s, but he didn’t say anything wrong. He just went after the ego of the President and his inner-family. It was brave of him to do so…
That is why Ng’eno MP is paying the price. If he had incited to violence and genocide. If he had used the means of what certain politicians did in the post-elections in 2008. Then I would have understood the backfiring means of the state. Alas, that wasn’t the case here.
He just hit the pride, the ego and the Kenyatta’s. This is misuse of power and restricting freedom of speech. They are taking away liberty to question their power and their office. He just wishing the President well, when he is done in office after his second term. That he can go back to his farms, milking cows and continue his businesses. Instead, of acting like he owns a Republic. When he represents it and is the Head of State. His not a royal king or even a kingpin.
The President and Jubilee should know better. KANU is just beneath itself dropping Ng’eno MP is messed up over this. The MP spoke the truth. Yes, he hit a nerve, but a man who has been in office since 2013 should manage to spoken to this way. Unless, his a kid with a hissy fit over not getting candy.
Uhuru and his family should manage this and much worse too. If they are this frail. What are you doing in office? Why are you even a head of state? Are you man enough to carry your own self? Do have carrying balls?
Because, I wonder if the President has the character and the ability to rule. When he cannot even get a wish of a kiss goodbye and being told that he doesn’t own the Republic. Are you that tiny?
That is weak tea and misuse of power. Kenyatta needs some help, he needs to grow up and understand his position. If he don’t, comedians, journalists and whatnot will soon be arrested for mocking him or even write a notice of punchline before they are revoked an opportunity to do their job. Peace.
WikiLeaks: The Kenyan leak [If it is from 2013 or today] is still bloody
The Wikileaks release today is kind of weird and a spectacle at once. The documents are both old reports, internal confidential documents, inner-party strategies and whatnot from years already passed. These documents are clearly leaked for a reason. That is to hurt the candidacy of Raila Odinga.
Not that Odinga needs anyone to destroy his career or his own campaigns. His in the limbo as it is and his own tactical movements are now so self-centred that these documents will not challenge it. That this shows how the politicians in Kenya operates. Is just an important insight. That it also drops documents like the leak of John Githongo on Anglo Leasing from back-in-the-day.
That people are saying these documents are vindicating William Ruto, I would beg to differ. There is still the list of his planned violence and execution of it in the post-election violence. The case that ceased and was suspended in the International Criminal Court (ICC). His named a problem by the ODM, while he was at ODM. Which is really a weird stance, but maybe they knew he was a renegade and only there on borrowed time?
Well, these documents are not good for anyone involved. None is coming scratched free. It is showing how to get away with murder, land-grabbing and rigging elections. There is nothing here that is positive or shed a light of hope. These documents are just damaging. No mater what date they are made and prefixed for.
It is not like these documents are good for the President either. None of the power trio of Kenyatta, Ruto or Odinga gets a stellar performance out of this. Yes, Odinga is in the front and centre of this leak. The documents are showing his plans and such. The Kibaki documents shows their plans as well ahead. Not like these are shedding lights on things that usually would have been hidden or not discussed in the open. Just like some of the leaks from Cambridge Analytica during the last General Election. There would have been more if the opposition had pushed and pressured for the release from the IEBC. However, they settled and that’s why the Jubilee is having a field-day in office.
All of this should be a lesson, that the game of politics for some is either for the long-con or the short-con. Some its for the greater good and for some its just personal gain. These documents proves that Baba isn’t the ultimate statesmen, but just another hustler. Ruto is a corrupt man. That’s not news, but the reality is that Odinga and Kenyatta has enough fatalities to answer for themselves too.
Odinga and the ODM had clearly plans. They wanted to achieve certain goals by all means. Just like the PNU and the Jubilee now. Yes, this leak shows how Odinga and the ODM was bankrolled by the Republican Party, people behind the Anglo Leasing and Goldberg scandal. So his crying loud against corruption. His money is tainted too. That just for the record now. We can wonder who else has given him cash to campaign in the past.
Therefore, this leak is vital and important. Yes, it has its eyes on Odinga. You can really wonder how this would look if it was aimed at Kenyatta or Ruto. What sort of detail, documents and information that would have been leaked. Then their secrets, their trade-offs and shunning details which has transpired in the past. Ruto and Kenyatta has much more hidden, which would have been explosive too.
Some ODM supporters are playing the dates, the supposed leak of 2013 on this one. I wonder if they would have had such questions, if this was about Ruto or Kenyatta? You go figure, right?
Well, this WikiLeaks are important, because it shows some insights. It breaks down a few barriers. It shows some dirty laundry. However, it is not the full picture, but it gives way to us. It shows sides to people, which we wouldn’t have gotten on the traditional way. No way in hell the ODM or the other political actors would have released this. They would have kept this hidden or hoped it was destroyed already. Peace.
Kenya: Election Petition – “Re: Notice Access to Information pursuant to Article 35 of the Constitution of Kenya Nairobi Court of Appeal Civil Application 246 of 2017” (06.11.2017)
Opinion: Why is Kenyatta afraid of free and fair elections? Well, because at this point he couldn’t win one!
I know, I know, sometimes I am late to the party, sometimes I scan through things, but in the recent days and with the news unfolding in the background of the constitutional crisis Uganda. Most things has shadowed that. But with a little consideration, I had a revelation. A starch one for me, I might be late and forgive me, but at this point, the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto cannot win in a free and fair election.
It makes perfect sense, it really make sense of how it’s been since the Supreme Court ruling and the nullification. The nullification came on the matter of computer algorithms that couldn’t be proven or had any basis on the possible transmitted results from the polling stations. The tally came from nowhere and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced Kenyatta the winner. Though the Court Justices at the Supreme Court saw it as a mischief and electoral malpractice that wasn’t following the codes and procedures in the law and in the Constitution.
So here we are today with a build-up to a second round of elections. National Super Alliance (NASA), Key Opponent Raila Odinga and Deputy Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka are gearing up their demonstrations and wanting to reform the IEBC. This is happening while the incumbent trying to rally again and as much as possible on short time. Just like he did in the days ahead of 8th August 2017. This has alle been seen before, but more dire this time. NASA is using their time making sure the provisions of the laws is hold and that the IEBC are up to standard, which they we’re far from during the previous election.
So we can know something by just these acts, as well as all the spreading of hatred towards the Supreme Court from the Jubilee Leadership, while they have worked to defend IEBC and it’s leaders. This is what is striking, one institution are wrong for stopping the incumbent a second term, the other institution cheated them from it, but is still valid to do it again without any concern of reforming it. It shows that the Jubilee doesn’t care how they win and if it takes rigging. They don’t mind the rigging at all. It serves the purpose, they stay in power by any means.
Kenyatta cannot win without rigging. Without some sort of foul play, without use of state funds and civil servants, cabinet secretaries and all sort of digital manipulation to get the results in his favor. It seems so obvious. Since he has used his time in office to enrich his cronies and his people. That is why the Jubilee government had in its time more than plenty of grand corruption cases and misuse of state reserves, which shouldn’t be accepted anywhere.
Still, even with this track-record and lack of keeping up with prior promises. Kenyatta still believes he is the righteous one, that all Kenyans will naturally back. Like he is perfect leader and the one who can control the ship. Clearly, the PR gigs and memos make it golden, but when you start to look. The picture is distorted and the evidence of work is often lacking. Its sprinkled quick work with a heavy bill, without any consideration of the tenders or the users. That is why the Hospital Containers or whatever they we’re meant to be. Is still on the stockpile and not out in the districts and counties.
That is the old news, but the new news, that has been steady all through September 2017 is the lack of understanding, lack of tact and also grasp of why the Jubilee lost in the Supreme Court. It was the IEBC who lost the case and had to restart a new election. Still, they have kept the same heads and changed a few, but not to make it trustworthy. As long as the IEBC Secretariat is of the same people, they might try to pull of the same trick as before. Even as the suppliers like OT-Morpho, Safaricom and others has proven to partial. Also, Jubilee internal memos proves they are defending Ezra Chiloba and Wafula Chebukati. All of this is happening as the IEBC has taken their dirty laundry to the press. Still, even as this has happen, the Jubilee has not attacked or cared for changing it. They have kept cool and told their staff and government employees that they are suspended for traveling abroad.
The Jubilee and Kenyatta, seems to not get what that happen. He doesn’t bring hope, neither trust. Since with his non-acts towards the IEBC and the revelation of Tuju defending the IEBC. We can know that the Jubilee knows they earn on keeping the IEBC as today. They are fearing if they turned Independent in more than just the name.
Well, since it is like that, we can know that Kenyatta cannot win in fair election at this point. That is why he is not bothered with reforming or changing the IEBC. He knows that if they do as they do. He will become the President again, even if it is against the will of the people. This proves that he see no reason to risk his loss and possible end of Presidency. Kenyatta deem that unacceptable and therefore pursuit another way. Even if it means this time actually respecting all districts and making it seem like the voters are important to him. They weren’t that before the August 2017. Because he knew he would win it, just as he thought the case before the Supreme Court was stellar and could post elephants on twitter the before while waiting on the Court Ruling. Something that really insulted him and he felt betrayed by them.
Kenyatta knew that IEBC would rig for him and would serve his purpose, we don’t know to what extent or how close the Chiloba and Chebukati is to the Jubilee leadership. Clearly, close enough that the Jubilee Secretariat are defending them. We just have to wait, but we can now from the recent month, that the Kenyatta presidency cannot have enough votes or support to actually win. If he did and if he had faith in the IEBC. He would have the state of mind to reform it and wait for another announced election after the new staff and provisions, that again could given all stakeholders trust in the Electoral Commission. Instead, the trust of IEBC is lackluster, the same should be of Jubilee. Only thing trustworthy is the Supreme Court and Odinga. Since NASA has been the truth considering the problematic electoral malpractice that was done in August.
Kenyatta cannot win in a free and fair election. Deep inside him, he accepts it, but he will not say, because that is slap in his face. Peace.
