DRC: Slowing down the Internet as the Ballots is Counted!

Today, the day after the polls, which is marred with irregularities and misgivings. CENI is counting and partial results are released online. Which are in favour of the opposition candidates. However, we have seen this before, early counting the opposition are having a lead, but after another 24 hours, the CENI will ensure the provinces or districts in rural areas voting for the heir of Kabila suddenly. The same sort of happen in 2011. It wouldn’t be surprising, if this happen in 2018 too.

Now, we are getting news that the Mobile Data or Internet are slowing down, this being from Vodacom in Kinshasa or within the Republic itself. This because, they know what is going on and want less reporting. It wouldn’t be surprising if during the rest of today. We would get news of a black-out, as the partial results would make it harder to rig them in favour of the heir. That is the reality. Even RFI are told to use less pictures or films to show, as the network is not able to do it.

We know that the results are awaiting anyway, as the first partial of official results is scheduled to come on the 2nd January 2019, as the 30th December 2018 polls numbers are trickling in. We are on the 31st December 2018 are coming in.

We can anticipate this, as Kabila knows this game to get his result, to get his man in power. To get his heir and his allies stated in power. The President knows this, that is why Vodacom suddenly slowing the internet or mobile data. That is all to silence and stop the feeds. They haven’t blocked social-media, but don’t need if people are struggling to be online.

Expect the results to favour the heir, the Shadari. It has been made this way, because Kabila and CENI wants it. It is why they have been arrogant and ready, as all parts of the election has been made for this.

This is a slow-brewing stew made for the Kabila and Shadari. Nothing else to be anticipated, because this is all scheduled programming from now on. Expect activists, monitors and others to be detained as they show evidence of electoral fraud. This being mismatch of numbers comparing the ballots versus the machines or whatnot. Even seeing people running of with ballot boxes in various provinces.

Let’s hope not, but is doubtful, as the internet is being slowed down and sooner could be cut-off. Peace.

The Rigged Road of Shadari!

Dictators are not in the business of allowing elections that could remove them from their thrones.”Gene Sharp

Today, is the two years postponed General Election in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Where major provinces are having mocking elections like in Beni, Butembo and Yumbi. In a nation where the Electoral Commission, CENI, isn’t able to bring the Electoral Equipment or the Polling Machines to the 70,000 Polling Stations. Where the machines are malfunctioning, where the Polling Agents haven’t the proper lists of voters for the Stations. This is selective chaos made by the Regime. To ensure that they can rig it in their favour.

We know that this isn’t a free and fair election. This is a farce created to ensure that the puppet, the succession and secure the wealth of Kabila to the next term. So, that his man can rise from his shadow, the man he used as a warlord in Kasai-Orientale. That is the man, who is coming up and becoming President. Emmanuel Shadari is not a loveable character, he is a reckless man and loyal to Kabila. There is no significant change from him. That is why Kabila have been so proud in International Interviews, because his will continues.

This is not a legitimate election, the machines isn’t working, the waiting time at the polling stations in Kinshasa is foolish. Just a few kilo-meters away from the CENI HQ should have all the equipment on time. This isn’t far away from the capital or in the villages of Katanga. No, this is close and clear venue. Still, CENI is showing how little they care of their maladministration and how they have pre-planned the results. Because, why having all these issues?

Why I am questioning all this nonsense. Is because the CENI has had over three years preparing for this election. If it was honest and securing, the election would have happen over the whole Republic. The material would have come to all the provinces and the areas during last week. Securing the ballots and the machines working. Testing and securing. They would have fixed and ensured extra, as the CENI Warehouse was burned down recently. Who knows how much equipment got lost in that fire. We just know, this was supposed to play out this way.

It doesn’t matter, who is the opposition candidates to Kabila’s man, the main ones are Martin Fayulu of Lamuka or Felix Tshisekedi of CACH. These men are running against Shadari, but it is like it doesn’t matter. Because, CENI and FCC have ensured their way.

I have little faith, as people are barred from voting, machines not working, polling stations not opened on time. Ballots not received, machines not registering the voters and claiming that people have already voted. This is what is reported by CENCO and LUCHA. Not two institutions or organizations who has interests of lying about the Elections. Because, they are organizations who works for the betterment of the Republic. So, I trust their reporting from today.

I expect to see that Shadari win with about 50-57% win on the Presidential Election. I would not write it like this, if it wasn’t for certain channels of information. General Election is made to ensure the men and woman, who are the ones that Kabila trust and needs to secure his wealth.

What is really striking is that even major parts of Kinshasa has had no voting or polling stations up. As the polls are going on. Where people are starting to demonstrate in anger, as the machines are not working there. Clearly, a message sent from CENI and FCC, that their ballots doesn’t matter.

Time will tell, but don’t be shocked if Shadari wins. That is scheduled programming. Peace.

UN Experts Report accuse Warlord Kokodikoko M.O of rape against Woman!

There are something sinister going on in South Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This time the UN Experts Report of 31st December 2018. The interviews and the witnesses clearly states what is happening within the Raia Mutomboki of the Kokodikoko faction. These events are really horrific and really showing the tragedies that is happening because of warlords. Warlords who uses child soldiers and who takes woman captive, because they got guns.

That is what is happening. The hurt and damage it does, the cult-like aspiration of Kokodikoko, as he has dances and insults, as they prepare to violate the woman. They are clearly celebrating the crimes together in the militia. That shows the illness of the group and their actions.

Just read the horrific story:

Based on interviews in June, September and October 2018 with 17 victims, 1 witness, civil society members, local authorities, local researchers, 1 ex-Raia Mutomboki element and staff from non-governmental organizations and MONUSCO, the Group found that the Kokodikoko faction of Raia Mutomboki, led by Masudi Alimasi Kokodikoko, committed mass gang rapes, serious sexual crimes amounting to torture and sexual slavery against at least 17 women around Lubila in Shabunda territory in September 2018. The Group also found that Kokodikoko and his group used child soldiers. All of those acts constitute serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law, and are sanctionable acts under subparagraphs (d) and (e) of paragraph 7 of Security Council resolution 2293 (2016)” (…) “A total of at least 17 women, between the ages of 15 and 70, including 2 women not abducted in Lubila, were held captive in the cave. During four days the Raia Mutomboki elements repeatedly gang-raped the women. They also introduced various tools into the vaginas of several of the women, severely injuring some. Women who resisted being assaulted were additionally mistreated” (…) “Raia Mutomboki elements shouting “Tchai! Tchai!”14 (Tea! Tea!) usually announced the beginning of the rapes. Before the rapes, Raia Mutomboki elements also danced and sang. Some of the songs, described as full of insults, spoke about penises, vaginas and penetration. The songs expressly mentioned the name of “Chief Kokodikoko” and praised him. During this last ritual, Kokodikoko was either in the middle of his elements or on the side watching them” (UNSC, 2018).

This report of the UN Experts are really saying a lot. It is showing the sinister acts of the Raia Mutomboki led by Kokodikoko, who has no trouble doing this to woman. Raping them and making ceremonies of it. Where he takes them, detain them in caves and gang-rape them. This after interviews of people witnesses to this acts.

These acts should not be pushed to the side. They need to be told, as the victims of these crimes deserves justice. They deserves to punished by the law and meet the courts of law. These cases should be put away. That this acts are happening is worrying, that the militia can do this and we can wonder if the FARDC or the MONUSCO can deal with group in South Kivu.

Something should around the way of warlord Kokodikoko, we have wait and see. But this isn’t what we want to hear, but what we need to hear. Because, the realities are bleak, they are dark and not beautiful. We could wish for it to be differnt, but that is not the reality. We still need to challenge men like this, who uses their position and their weapons to this savage way of sinister acts against innocent woman. Peace.
