Opinion: Mnangagwa’s Indefinitely lockdown is a perfect tool for oppression

That President Emmerson Mnangagwa today revealed in a National Address that the state are prolonging the lockdown in the Republic. Not that’s unheard of or without reasons to do. This been done worldwide. However, when you continue the lockdown indefinitely. That opens up whole other can of worms.

Especially, when the ZANU-PF and President Mnangagwa has sent his enemies and the ones his fallen out into the Court system. The MDC-Alliance is under fire from all angles and his friends in the MDC-T is trying a coup d’etat on that one. By using the external forces and the support system of ZANU-PF to control the MDC and the MDC-Alliance. Just to signal a red flag and a warning, as Nelson Chamisa and his team is seeing their folks and activists suddenly vanishing, arrested and tortured in the midsts of the lockdown.

That is why an indefinitely lockdown open up the ability to oppress in another fashion. Expect more sudden disappearances. Expect citizens in harms way as they are just trying to feed themselves. While the ZANU-PF are giving away things to their constituencies, but not even trying to do it in the areas of the opposition. And if the Opposition Members of Parliament tries to do it. Than, they are not following state directives and will get into trouble. That is how these saga’s goes.

The President is using this, while the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe is unleashing new banknotes. The economy is already crashing. There is no remedy and the Republic have not gotten a package from abroad to save it. Neither, is any foreign investors lining up to build factories nor invest in farming. They are not there and the empty promises keeps haunting the Republic.

Like the health care system is struggling to say the least. The ways of society is broken, because the state has been looted over so long time. It was just a matter of how far the President and his men could stretch it. You can just push the envelope so far, before things give in.

It isn’t like there is a magically spectrum. Like the actions are changing. Because, when you have indefinite powers and lockdown measures. The public is more stuck and the society is on-hold. There is no demos or anything, because if you do. The public will be harmed and brutal force of the armed forces will be back-at-it-again. Which has happen in the past and could easily again.

With this one, the most likely scenario isn’t to use it stop COVID-19 or the Coronavirus. Because, if they did. They would have done more testing and secured the ratio of testing in areas where the spread already appeared. However, there been minimal of testing and also warning signs from the doctors and nurses associations. So, its not like the President has been a champion for their struggles or needs in this pandemic.

That is why this is a smokescreen. Because the President knows, that the dire situation is there. The government cannot fake the troubles forever and “the shit will hit the fan”. It just a matter of time, before the time-bomb of economic crash and lacking foreign reserves. They can fake it in the midst of a lockdown and emergency. As they are directly controlling it all and has the final say. Nevertheless, that doesn’t last forever. Reality will kick-in and then the salvation will not be COVID-19, but a reality check. Where the checks and balances will be touched.

The President knows this and wants to rule be decree. Using the pandemic to gain political mileage and ensure his enemies suffer. This is end-game here. He will use the means he has now to secure more power and weaken his opposition. That is what he will do and he has started already. Why can I say that? Well, the proof of the actions against the MDC MP Cecilila Joanah Mamombe and the other two. Also, the Court activity in favour of MDC-T Khupe against MDC-Alliance Chamisa. That is all to undermine the opposition while under lockdown.

Therefore, the man is stopping all rallies, all demonstrations and everything else. While using the cover of COVID-19. If he was just battling that and stopping the first wave. There would be a sort of time frame and some points on the curve the state and Health Officials would say was needed. Before the lockdown stops.

However, when you using it indefinitely, than there is a whole another game in mind. Than, its becomes a situation where you initiate special powers and usage of it. Just so you can rule and reign without ordinary precautions and oversight. Since, it is a state of emergency and the powers are all on you.

That is why Mnangagwa wants to have it like this forever ever and beyond. Because that gives him the powers to assault, use the police and authorities as he see fit and say it was his directives. That to initiate even more control and only secure passage to ones in his personal court. Peace.

Movement for Democratic Change – Alliance: Communique of the MDC Alliance Standing Committee (06.05.2020)

Opinion: Khupe is a very useful pawn…

That the Movement for Democratic Change – Alliance (MDC-A) is under fire these days is an understatement. They are battling forces from the outside and within. The power they will show is their balance of wit and of strength towards both the ZANU-PF Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC-T with Thokozani Khupe.

Khupe and Mnangagwa is clearly the team, the buddies and the ones who are doing the bidding together. With the Court order of internal change of leadership within the MDC, the recall of MDC MPs and the 50 police officers at the Harvest House or the Tvansigirai House in Harare.

All of this is happening during the lockdown. While people are pre-occupied getting their roller-meals and food in general. They are not caring what is happening with the MDC-A. The ZANU-PF knows this and uses the free window to do this.

They are assaulting the MDC-A Headquarters, they are targeting MDC-A MPs and also elevating the Khupe team. Just in time to fix the issues for Nelson Chamisa and MDC-A.

The answer from the MDC-A is to expelled Douglas Mwonzora, Morgen Komichi and Elias Mudzuri from the party. While also, suspending all activity in Parliament from their MPs and Senators. This is a big deal, since they are biggest opposition party.

This is an direct reaction to the actions from ZANU-PF and the state, which interference directly with the party. It is also Douglas Mwonzora letter, which is the reason for the assault on the Harvest House today.

We are seeing movement and finally the MDC-A are doing direct action, not only getting moves done to it. This might cost, as this might flag the ZANU-PF and the Parliament into action. If they stops all actions over time. They are maybe opening up for By-Elections. Where the state will rig the party to a bigger chunk of MPs and such. That is a gamble the MDC-A should take, as they are only losing in the chambers of the state anyway.

The MDC-A are the ones whose the force of change and needs to be on the forefront. Not only live within the parimeters of the ZANU-PF. Both show another face to the reality produced by ZANU-PF. Which they are by defying the Parliament and their work. They are showing force with this. Peaceful defiance against the authorities who are all against it. Not even needing court orders or warrants to go with Police Officers to the Harvest House. This is just the reality.

That the ZANU-PF does this is clear. That they are using Khupe as pawn is clear too. Just like she like being used. She will neither be welcome by the real MDC nor respected, because they know she’s a pawn of Mnangagwa. She’s being used and will be remembered as such. There is nothing she can do. Khupe is a tool and a useful one, but not a righteous one. A Molotov Cocktail into a dry-grass and hoping it burns down the house. Peace.

Opinion: Someone should petition the Courts over “Operation Restore Legacy”

We are seeing these days how Nelson Chamisa and the Movement for Democratic Change – Alliance (MDC-Alliance) and Thokozani Khupe of the Movement for Democratic Change – T (MDC-T) fought in the Courts. Khupe won in the Supreme Court and has the rights of the MDC-A or the MDC. As this is happening and the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) high ranking officials and cronies are cheering to this. The drama the and troubles caused by this Court Judgement.

However, they are throwing stones in a glass house. Even worse, as there was reasons for the choice and election of Chamisa as a succession of Morgan Tsvangirai. There was no automatic place for Khupe, that is why she haven’t made herself a big-shot after making MDC-T. This is just a fact.

Now, why do I say this now. Well, the ZANU-PF, the apologists and voices of the PFee. Better Netflix and chill. Better sit in the SUVs and on enjoy their looted funds. Because, their patting their backs and saying: “look at MDC and how they are not following codes and respecting the laws”.

However, the ZANU-PF as it is today wasn’t build on the Party Constitution nor the possible natural succession. That is why President Emmerson Mnangagwa is on his first official term from 2018. While he took power in November 2017. That November 2017 had the acts of sending Mnangagwa to exile in South Africa, getting started and being a part of the “Operation Restore Legacy” which was started on the 13th November 2017. On the 15th November the “Coup that wasn’t a Coup” happen. They house-arrested Mugabe and other associates. On the 19th November the Central Committee of the Party removed Mugabe and replaced him with Mnangagwa. Already by 21st November 2017 Mugabe sent the resignation letter, as the Party pressured for impeachment proceedings against him. By 21st November 2017 Mnangagwa was inaugurated as interim President.

As you see, the Operation Restore Legacy wasn’t even following the needs of the ZANU-PF Party. They used measures and means, which isn’t in the protocol of the ruling regime. The Party itself has an Constitution. A Constitution, which states that the Congress has the powers to elect the Party President. Which in November 2017 was Mugabe. Secondly, the Extraordinary Congress could convene with Three Quarters to be held for a specific matters, which could have been succession. However, the Central Committee is a part of both of these, but they are not the governing body. The Central Committee, which has a fixed Program made by the Politburo. The Central Committee can nominate a President and First Secretary of the Party, but they cannot elect. The election happens at a Congress or an Extraordinary Congress. Therefore, by these means, its an easy argument to say that the “Operation Restore Legacy” of General Constantino Chiwenga and Emmerson Mnangagwa.

This is very easy to track and show, as the dates of November 2017 shows the neglect, the lack of protocol and the way they took down Mugabe. Even though Mugabe was a dictator for 37 years. There was no other way to get rid of him in Office. However, that doesn’t mean Mnangagwa was righteous and following protocol. Not even the protocol of the Party, which he represents. That is very simple.

Chiwenga and Mnangagwa did this because of the G-40 was purging their allies and friends of Lacoste in ZANU-PF. They retaliated and did the Coup, because they had the means to do this. They got the price of the state and running the nation after Mugabe. Not they are a real change, more of the same, the same ills and just a new Head. That is the reality.

The courts did this to Chamisa, to humiliate him and his position. As his the main target in Opposition. However, there should be someone with the courage and balls to petition the Courts to challenge “Operation Restore Legacy” and the succession in the ZANU-PF. That would have been golden at this very moment. If the Courts can look into MDC and their internal affairs. Than, they should do the same with ZANU-PF. Who had even a more contested succession, than what the MDC had.

That is why Khupe even as a winner is a giant looser. Since, she might have the legal rights and jurisdiction, but she doesn’t have the support nor the popularity of Chamisa. She is a empty vessel and cannot bring anything to port. MDC is Chamisa and his team, not Khupe and the MDC-T of deflectors.

That is why the G-40 might not own or be apart of the ZANU-PF today. However, Mnangagwa should be challenged by the same means. Because, it is easy to see in their Constitution that the conduct to the “Operation Restore Legacy” is wrong and not right. Therefore, ZANU-PF should answer and show legality of the Head of State and him being the President of ZANU-PF. That would just be fair, especially if this Courts are partial and not only mere puppets like PFee claims.

However someone has to challenge it and petition the Courts. It might be dismissed straight away. That proves the mute point of the puppets there. It proves the singular state, where all institutions are absorbed by the ZANU-PF. They are all appointed and works for them, that is why the judgement wouldn’t work against it. However, the idea of doing it, shows flex and force. Maybe even Chamisa should do it?

So, he could flex with his comrades. Peace.

Opinion: Khupe is the lucky loser and Chamisa is still the heir

Sometimes, you know your a pawn and acts like a pawn. Thokozani Khupe of the Movement for Democratic Change – T (MDC-T) is now the sole proprietor of MDC-Alliance (MDC-A) after a victory in the Supreme Court today. This reinstating him, however, he will not been seen as a winner nor a justified ruler. Even if the Courts delivered this. This is just the Supreme Court doing the bidding of the ZANU-PF and their compatriots who wants the remains of Morgan Tsvangirai gone and let POLAD mission continue.

The verdict today:

THE Supreme Court has ruled that Nelson Chamisa is not the legitimate MDC leader in a judgment that settles the drawn out leadership wrangle between him and Thokozani Khupe. In his ruling, Chief Justice Luke Malaba also reinstated the MDC (then MDC-T)’s 2014 structures. The ruling could also be triumph for tormented top MDC politician Douglas Mwonzora, who was then secretary general” (Costa Nkomo – ‘UPDATED: WATCH – Khupe Triumph As Supreme Court Rules Chamisa Not Legitimate MDC Leader’ 31.03.2020).

Khupe might seem like a winner, but he isn’t, she’s actually a lucky loser. Even with the victory, whose behind him and what sort of support will he have?

She’s slowly digging her own grave. The party structure and the MDC-Alliance has all been behind Nelson Chamisa. They have been so, because he was the heir of Tsvangirai. The man who prepared Chamisa.

Khupe had problem with Chamisa back in February 2018 when Tsvangirai appointed Chamisa as acting President of the Party. Therefore, we knew that she would take it ill, as the co-VP would be anointed and put on the back-burner. So, today in March 2020 is a vindication, but a empty victory.

She is now a pawn of the regime. Instead of being someone who keeps the mantle of Tsvangirai and continue to work towards the regime change. She’s instead doing the state favours by taking Chamisa and his team away. By disenfranchising the biggest obstacle of the state. She’s weakening the opposition and even making the MDC-A less relevant by taken power over it. It’s like she wants to be Queen, but isn’t even a Duchess.

Khupe your a pawn, a useful pawn, but you will not have not have a legacy worth the paper the titles are written on it. It will all wither, because you destroyed MDC for your gains and not for furthering the struggle against ZANU-PF. You became a useful tool and they used you. Hope it was worth it. Since, we will not remember you in favourable terms. Peace.

Opinion: Tsvangirai, the man who had deserved to be President!

There are some fellows walking on this earth, who has deserved with their persistence and leadership, with their potential and their spirit. That they are justified to become President. The way they are and their aura. It is rare and unique. Morgan Tsvangirai and his Movement for Democratic Change – T (MDC-T) had deserved to carry that mantle. The way he carried himself through the oppression and the hacks who took him for granted.

Tsvangirai has proven to resilient and strong, he got played, but still showed his character. No one would have judged him if he had given up after the Second Round Elections and the rigged affair of 2008. With all the merciless use of force and the obvious stolen elections. Someone could have given in and said enough. Instead, he shown his leadership abilities. The way he continued to build his party and take a path towards a better tomorrow.

Tsvangirai shouldn’t just be remembered for being the main opposition of former dictator Robert Mugabe, who ruled until last November 2017. Who kept him away from the office and from the Presidency, by all means. Tsvangirai tried by all means to get there and used with peace. He didn’t want to take power by the guns, like Mugabe did and never left. He was tricked by the Global Political Agreement that made him Prime Minister, even if he won the 2008 election. That shows the conning ways of Mugabe and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) helper Thabo Mbeki. His weakness of Mbeki and wishes for stability by any means. That gave Mugabe a freeway to stay in power.

Therefore, Tsvangirai was risked on the alter and ZANU-PF, the Mugabe Presidency lingered on and the MDC-T and the MDC turned into different fractions. That is why it’s with time become the MDC-Alliance. Where some has given up Tsvangirai and others still has hope for the man. Even if he has been sickly and weak, there has still been hope that he could run against ZANU-PF new President Emmerson Mnangagwa. However, today we know, that Mnangagwa doesn’t need to fear Tsvangirai. His body gave way and he finally got peace.

Tsvangirai has fought a battle, he has risked it all and seen comrades die in the street. He has campaigned for a just cause, he has done it with swift actions and persistence. No one can take that away from him.

He has often spoken of not retribution against the regime, against Zanu-PF and Mugabe. Even as he has used the military and police to stifle the MDC. This Tsvangirai did even with the International Community and with communications, which been leaked in United States Embassy Cables. Therefore, Tsvangirai proved his legacy and his wishes of peaceful transition. Not making the same mistakes as in the past of violence and retribution. That could have been understandable with the violations and the harassment of the MDC. Still, he wouldn’t budge and give-in.

That is leadership and consistency. He had deserved to win in 2008, he won it in 2008 by my definition. It was ZANU-PF and SADC who gave it Mugabe. Tsvangirai knew this, but on the alter of International Pressure and a transition, while struggling with hyper-inflation. He gave in and gave way to Mugabe. This is sooner used and his men got the powerful positions. While Tsvangirai was the galleon figure to the international community.

There are people who says he lost 2013 because the party was confused, well, it wasn’t like he would have had the same backing or powerful message after been in power as Prime Minister. A position made to shut him down and not give him enough to be a problem for Mugabe.

Tsvangirai has run against Mugabe since 2002 and has had decent results, he shown that character and resilience matters. I think that he would have been a worthy successor and would have made changes worthwhile. He wasn’t an international stooge, but the world wanted someone else than Mugabe. Mugabe had gone from Liberation Hero into a totalitarian dictator. He had shown his despicable ways. That Tsvangirai proven to different from and wanting a peaceful transition.

Tsvangirai tried to cross the bridge, he tried to find the peaceful means to cross and get there. He worked for over a decade as a Presidential Candidate in the MDC-T. He had deserved to win and be it. Even during the worst economic crisis in near history. MDC could have mustered a direct change and not just a challenge to Mugabe.

Tsvangirai seemed like much more. MDC-T and could have been a great President. However he never got to call the shots, he got played and was tricked. If he in the end became tired and not as fierce as in the past. That comes with age and with experience. There is just as many times you can try the same thing and seeing no change.

Tsvangirai died today, not fool, not a loser, but a legendary politician who fought for the betterment of Zimbabwe and for its people. His service to the country should be remembered. Also his trials and tribulations. The MDC wouldn’t have a power struggle and leadership question of late, if it wouldn’t be for the foundation built by Tsvangirai.

That is just the result of the work done by Tsvangirai. This shouldn’t be forgotten.

Tsvangirai shall not be remembered because of Mugabe, but because of how he fought and did what he could to stand against him day in and day out for years. If people give up and start farming, instead of fighting dictatorship. That would be natural, but Tsvangirai didn’t. That is inspirational and should show us all. How to carry and try to make change into the society you wish for. Not that all tricks and all sorts of play work. However, you cannot deny that he didn’t do what he could.

Tsvangirai, your a hero and a lost one now. But your legacy and your achievements will be inspirational for generations to come. Peace.

Opinion: EFFs Malema to Mugabe – “time to say Goodbye”!

The Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) founder and former African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) chairman Julius Malema is continuing to pound on the Presidency of Mugabe and his overstaying in power. It is from the same man that sought to learn from Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) Youth in 2010 to learn how to make Africa better. So with the lingering years in power and his loss of power inside the ruling party ANC have given way for Malema to address Zanu-PF and ANC differently, than in the past; in the recent year or so he has called Mugabe a lot and asked him to leave power. Still, as a foreigner Mugabe has asked who he really is, therefore the criticism hasn’t really broken the old man, who by some of his biggest supporters claims that he is in the bible.

Let’s see what Julius Malema said about Mugabe:

“The African Union (AU) need courageous leadership which will tell their own peers this is not right, you know like they did, like ECOWAS did. So we need more ECOWAS, we need SADC to say no to President Mugabe don’t you think it’s time to say Goodbye” (…) “We have a problem with him (Mugabe) wanting to stay until death. We believe there are so many young people who were inspired by him in his own country. If he inspires us here in South Africa, there must surely a lot of them who were inspired him in Zimbabwe who can take over from him and continue the legacy” (ZimbabweToday, 2017).

Well, if South African government and other nations inside the SADC community weren’t afraid for their own reign and their internal battles, than they would have interfered in republics and states that had big-men who wouldn’t leave in peace. The man who was a freedom fighter and got rid of oppressive minority government has himself become a repressive leader. So that the RSA politician to tell the President of Zimbabwe is a fresh breath of air, still it would be more possible if the South African government wasn’t it biggest ally. Even Thabo Mbeki as President didn’t give a hard enough nudge and put the ZANU-PF rigging machine into the dust. Instead he gave way and made it possible for Mugabe to linger.

It is a fresh one that an opposition leader from South Africa blasts Mugabe; it makes sense of the character and the will of Malema. Still, his former friendliness towards the Zanu-PF makes me wonder how real the will of change the man has. Since when he was an ANCYL leader he could learn from Zanu-PF Youth, now he wants the Mugabe administration and Zanu-PF to leave, as much as Malema wants President Zuma and the ANC to stop ruling as well. However, he will not as SADC to overthrow Jacob Zuma, as he asks them to act upon Mugabe.

Well, nobody explain the problem with Mugabe better than Mutsa Murenje:

“There is absolutely no justification for Mugabe or any other Zimbabwean to seek medical attention outside the country. We have enough resources to make our health services work for us. The millions spent by a single man (Mugabe) on foreign trips could be saved to fund areas that are lacking in our country. The best we can do is to find Mugabe a place in an old people’s home. That’s where he belongs instead of depriving us of the future we badly need” (…) “The Mugabe regime abuses State resources and international aid. Food is distributed on a partisan basis. Opposition parties need to be more visible and have a felt presence nationwide. We need to stay abreast on key issues affecting us. The role of the media on this cannot be overstated. Both the traditional and the social media have key roles to play in consolidating democracy” (Murenje, 2017).

So the Zimbabwean sees the issues themselves, the Malema paradigm is different from Murenje, both want Mugabe gone away and other to lead, Malema from South Africa wants the SADC together to bring Mugabe away from the throne, while Murenje wants social justice and freedom through political takeover. That is different ways, as the MDC-T and other parties are now questioned, as the other parties are also created on fallouts from the Zanu-PF instead of built on their own merit.

There are dozens of questions and needed strong civil society together with political will to bring the Mugabe era to an end. However, there are more who wish him gone as the #ThisFlag and other social activists that are detained for their will to question the power of Mugabe. The President and his rule of law, is that the justice is only for the given elite, the rest should be silent.

The time should have been up a long time ago, Julius Malema and others should address the man and show the illegitimate rule in Zimbabwe. True, Mugabe was once a hero, but now he is not. Peace.

“Today I am in Solidarity with Pastor Mugadza #mugabemustfall. Pastor Patrick Mugadza did not beat about the Bush, his message is clear Mugabe must fall. We have heard enough suffering and it’s high time we liberate ourselves from Mugabe’s tyranny. He is being denied his liberty because he exercised his right to freedom of speech and behaved like a true man of the cloth who advocates for social justice and good sound governance” (Lynda Tsungie Masarira, 19.02.2017)

Opinion: Please, Pastor Evan Mawarire not run for President!

evan-mawarire-profil-photo

“If the opportunity presents itself . . . why not?” Mawarire said after he was asked about his presidential aspirations during an interview on Thursday” (…) “I don’t want to close the door on myself,” he added” (…) “He said “let people be allowed to do things that they feel and see if they will be able to bring change” (Machamire, 2017).

Let’s be perfectly clear, I respect and want to honour the activist and caring citizen Pastor Evan Mawarire, for his struggle and commitment for a better Zimbabwe. I salute you and your work for a better nation. Zimbabwe deserves liberty, freedom and justices for others than just the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (Zanu-PF) elite, like President Robert Mugabe and Gucci Mugabe.

So the struggle and hard work for social justice and a transparent society is worth every second that Mawarire uses for it. That Mawarire has been and is the leading champion of the poor and the ones who doesn’t have the courage to stand against the Zanu-PF elite, is not only Noble, but a proof of that for him it isn’t just words for him. Mawarire is a man I look up-to and wished I had the same drive against corruption, impunity and unjust behaviour from central government.

Since of that, I want to say to him something that is strange, but what I had in mind when I saw his interview in clips on Al-Jazeera this morning. On the aftermath that the Zimbabwean people will be electing President Mugabe even when he is dozing off in his casket. That is sad state of affairs and the proof of lacking governance in the Republic. Still, I want to ask Evan Mawarire, don’t go for public office!

Why? You might risk your voice and your possibility to trade your ethics and your standing amongst the ones who fight for justice. Mawarire you will trade-off against a rigged system and in the midst of burning of fire. The opportunities to be traded and negotiated away as the offices and the positions are offered. Just look at how the little power and the lesser acts of government titles has eaten away the changing rhetoric and public standing for Morgan Tsvangirai and his Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

With that in mind, I am afraid of the future of Pastor Evan Mawarire and his #ThisFlag movement, if it goes from an activist and political influencer to being a political party. Than the initial organization and acts will be to comply and working in harmony with the political structures, instead of changing and knocking on the doors of a rotten regime.

All that matters is rule of law and stop the impunity, it might resurrect and get people active in ways that never has happen before, might even create more havoc and more public uprising than when MDC and Tsvangirai in 2002:

“he Zimbabwe registrar-general, Tobaiwa Mudede, declared that Mr Mugabe had won a fifth term in office after the results from all 120 constituencies were returned. He said Mr Mugabe had won 1,685,212 votes against 1,258,401 for challenger Morgan Tsvangirai, leader of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC)” (…) “We foresaw electoral fraud but not daylight robbery,” Mr Tsvangirai said. “We find ourselves unable to endorse the purported election of President Robert Mugabe as Zimbabwe’s president in this election. It’s the biggest election fraud I’ve witnessed in my life.” (McGreal & MacAskill, 2003).

So when he did this in 2002 and was 78 year old, now that he is 93 years old and still going, even running for next term in the coming election. The place and time for Evan Mawarire is problematic. Tsvangirai was running a big campaign and even did everything right before losing to a fraudulent election in 2002.

The same might happen as the Zanu-PF machinery will be in all-out and with all force against anyone going to question the Mugabe Administration. They will all suffer and struggle a hazardous part, no matter on what ethical ground or what policies that Mawarire will run on, the risk of losing all goodwill and all the activists. You cannot drain the system and drag it automatically with you. The people will easily be behind a man who has integrity and has the moral backbone as you have Mawarire. You are a rare breath and one out of a few. Therefore I don’t want to risk what you have for the uncertainty.

The uncertainty, the lacking machinery and the strength against the biggest and longest serving party for one-man party under Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe. Mugabe has been able to get enough loyalist and enough monies to pay off the ones that could question him. Certainly he will pay and rig the next election like ever before. Mugabe will use security forces, the police and army veterans to vamp-up the people to be behind long-serving president by any means.

President Mugabe, will be fierce and unapologetic against Mawarire, he has already addressed him in unfavourable ways. Therefore don’t run if you want to weaken your station and your space. You have loyalty because you have nothing to lose! Your place as an activist and a voice for the people is more worth than a title and raise for public office. You might lose many on the way, as your views and ideas of health-care, industrial policies or taxes might shrug the people of Bulawayo off! Mawarire, you never know if your policies and your programme will be selling in the minds of all Zimbabweans. No matter how Draconian the current leadership and administration is.

So please honourable and steady freedom fighter, activist and the voice of the people, don’t run for public office, don’t trade off your place and risk losing your integrity and work for justice for silver coins in office and as a politician. So many good leaders and honourable men have been eaten by office and by political life. Don’t be another civilian loosing it’s wealth of integrity over cheap tricks in office. This is a little plea from far away. Just a reminder of your power and your reach as the man you are now! Peace.
