Wetangula disowns National Super Alliance (Youtube-Clip)

“The unity pledge by the opposition is already showing signs of fracture just a day after it was made.

Opinion: NASA launch is so no other leaders can come out of Odinga’s shadow!

nasa-kenya-11-01-2017

I have a conspiracy theory and it is not verified, but I have a hunch why that the leadership of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is launching a new Opposition outfit and coalition right before the General Election of 2017. It is not so it is ready and amended correctly and following the new electoral laws that the Jubilee government passed this January 2017. No, Raila Odinga has other plans and it will be uncovered!

Honourable Baba, Raila Odinga, has been the opposition kingpin and head honcho for a decade or so. He has steadily been the prince and been the underdog, but never become the Executive. Therefore this hurts his pride, as it did to his father who also became an issue for the ruling elite.

So now that the opposition is gearing up for the general election and deciding their flag-bears and the presidential candidate, that is important for any party and even more vital to a opposition to a consolidated party, which is the Jubilee with key figures like Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto. They will not give up easy and therefore they amended the laws to make it easier to get one more term in power.

So the strength of grand coalition and collective is needed if the Opposition should be covered in the new election. They should act and sound like a possible opposition who is different than the ruling regime under Jubilee. The Jubilee will not go as a coalition, but as one stronger party that we’re created and made ready for the 2017 election. Though their track-record is far from perfect and their years in power have been filled with scandals.

So the National Super Alliance (NASA) which will take-over for the Coalition for Demcratic Reform (CORD), so the parties that in the NASA is mostly the same as in the Cord. Therefore you can wonder why they are changing name of the outfit. That is the reason why I believe there is one main reason for this. Not that NASA or National Super Alliance is the most brilliant name ever. Neither is the timing for changing well-known outfit and PR move to trade the CORD name in.

CORD has been a structure of promise, still fragile and also there we’re agreements made for who was to run in the coming terms. That is why I believe the main reason for the NASA is Hon. Odinga, not anybody else; there might be other deals and backroom kickbacks between the parties. Still this here can be seen as a way of administrating away the old-agreement of CORD. Therefore the new agreement might open ways for Raila Odinga to run again as the Presidential Candidate since this is NASA and not CORD. Also by doing so, he will be most known and biggest political adversary to the Jubilee government.

Odinga, seems to be tactically ready to ambush and silence the old-agreement of Cord, that is well-known. Honourable Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka we’re in the Cord agreement the next in line to try and become the Presidential flag-bearer under the Cord umbrella, as well as the last big-man of the giant trio under Cord Honourable Moses Wetan’gula we’re supposed to run for the Cord in the 2021. But with a new outfit Odinga can outsmart them with the highest flag and popularity; therefore he should run and be again trying to win over the Kenyan citizens.

Because why this coming in January 2017 when they have been is partners since their agreement in 2013, it is 4 years into the agreement and soon renewal of the old pledges between the leadership and secretariat of the Cord. Those protocols are now put into the folders and some of them into the bin. The NASA has to make amends with the old agreements and the other parties that had pledges from the ODM and others should be capable to give way to other than Odinga. If not, than Odinga cannot trust anybody else than himself; that isn’t leadership or stewardship, he has tried and tried and now should open to somebody else to try. It would be big of him, though I think that Wetan’gula and Kalonzo Musyoka will be left behind in NASA is most likely, if Gideon Moi (KANU) or Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) will not be put forward in the pot of Presidential leadership in NASA. That would be even more demeaning for the Wiper Democratic Movement Kalonzo Musyoka or Forum for Restoration of Democracy (FORD-K) Wetan’gula who themselves deserves to come out of Odinga’s shadow!

So Odinga is smart and resourceful, uses tactics and wise words to sell a dream where he can only run and win over the Jubilee, therefore he cannot continue with the Cord. In Cord he is bound to stepdown and gives way to others. That is a path Odinga doesn’t want to do. The NASA coalition is a new way to secure his Flag-bearer and Presidential Candidacy in the opposition. Also an outfit he can use and also try to gain more power. I could hope I am wrong, but I would be surprised if this was created to levitate somebody else. That would be a grand day for Kenya when somebody who wasn’t related to the ones who liberate Kenya from Britain.

It might be high time for somebody else to run in the opposition, to prove that they should get a chance to rule and get Executive power in the proud nation. The Kenyan deserves a proper option to the Jubilee Party and their misgiving leadership. Kenyatta and Ruto has together with their eating elite, really been feasting without breaks since running the office. Therefore someone has to come in and shake it up a bit. If it going to be without scandal and without grand corruption. But if the leadership behind Odinga shadow gets allowed to shed light on, there might be leaders or even ideology, even political craft that could revolutionize the Kenyan government. That wouldn’t be dangerous, but could be prosperous. Peace.

KANU Statement that they are positive to a Opposition Alliance (11.01.2017)

kanu-gideon-moi

Kenya African National Union, KANU supports the idea in its formative stage of opposition unity in that this and the resolve by opposition leaders to field one presidential candidate is a milestone for Kenya’s growing democracy.

However, the remarks made by Hon. Nick Salat, the Secretary General of KANU today at the Bomas of Kenya are his personal sentiments and do not reflect in any way the position of the party on the matter of an election coalition at this juncture.

KANU policies and decisions are guided by the party’s constitution which stipulates that such a decision must first be discussed by the supreme decision making organ of the party, the National Delegates Conference (NDC) upon a resolution.

Since the party has not convened the NDC as per the constitution to deliberate on this particular matter, the remarks by the Secretary General are therefore not official as they have not been subjected to the internal constitutional processes for ratification.

Kanu Chairman, Gideon Moi

My letter to CS Nkaissery is this you wish for your legacy to be ‘I created fear and caused havoc’?

Nkaissey 2016

Dear CS of Interior Joseph Kasine Ole Nkaissery of the Republic of Kenya!

I know you’re having a hard time as a Cabinet Secretary before the General Election of 2017. With the knowledge of the security detail you needed when the first rounds of Election Law Amendments we’re taken to the National Assembly during January 2017. Therefore it is not like you as a CS of Interior respects your advisories. That been proven with your crass words against the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD), which is an opposition coalition to fight the ruling regime party, that just recently became the Jubilee Party; that we’re a former coalition as well. So he has alternative motives with this week’s actions and hours.

First he has to step up security before planned marches against election laws, because he loved the Tear-Gas Monday’s and Police Brutality Monday’s that we’re happening months ago. Just take a look!

joho

Police on Alert:

“More police officers have been deployed to Opposition strongholds amid intelligence reports that violence could erupt over the contentious amendments to the electoral laws. The Standard on Saturday established that police officers will be on the look out in Nyanza, Western, Coast, Eastern and parts of North Eastern where they will remain highly alert on possible protests” (…) “This follows the directive by Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, who has instructed regional police coordinators to be extra vigilant. Yesterday, Nyanza regional police coordinator Willy Lugusa confirmed that they were on high alert for any eventuality and ready to contain the situation should the protests begin” (Otieno, 2017).

When you want the Police to be vigilant, as the Police have acted with brutality and with tear-gas on protesters; they have detained and even killed protesters, even pedestrians. So now the Police has to be out on the streets and made ready, because legal protest has to be silenced. The only law is the law that Jubilee has created and their amendments to secure another term is more important that citizens of the republic. The citizens who might protest are allowed to be punching-matts and are okay to criminalize them for doing their civic duty. That show’s how little your mind of democracy is CS Nkaissery, you’re a sorry excuse for a politician. As your CV proves your military ways: “Nkaissery served in the Kenya Defence Forces in various capacities ; Commandant  Battalion,  Second in Command, Combat Instructor, GOC Western Deputy Commandant/Chief Instructor-brigade,  Commander Chief of Personnel ,Military Assistant to the Chief of General Staff, until he retired at the position of a Major General 1973 to 2002 when he joined politics” (Halipad, 2014). That Nkaissery is unforgiving and uses strong orders to people comes from all the years of hardships in the army and the loyal line of defence that is there. So he uses the same mentality in the Politics as he sees the CORD as enemies and not as advisories. Therefore he does go after Governor’s from CORD, instead of seeking to create peaceful climate between the coalitions!

kingi-35

Removal of Security Team for Joho and Kingi:

“ODM leaders have asked Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery to reinstate the security detail of Governors Hassan Joho (Mombasa) and Amason Kingi (Kilifi) following their withdrawal on Friday” (…) “They had initially given Nkaissery a two-day ultimatum on the matter, but later said they would deliberate with the Cord NEC on the next course of action” (…) “Mvita MP Abdulawamad Nassir said among officers withdrawn were GSU and Administration Police” (…) “An official within Joho’s camp said among the withdrawn officers were four bodyguards who worked on a rotational basis, three uniformed officers who used to guard his home and at least two officers at his office” (Star Team, 2017).

Last time he tried to revoke the guns for Governor Hassan Joho, now he added Amason Kingi, because why not? You’re not Hassan Ali Joho best of friend, not that I expect that you like the ODM political leader. I am sure it hit your pride Honourable Mr. English Nkaissery that the coast governor won in court and we’re still allowed to carry his gun. So now you take it another step, because you can and orders to take away the Security Detail around these two governors. Both Joho and Kingi, like a spoiled brat your leave them behind, would you honourable Mr. English do this to any of your Jubilee Governors? I haven’t seen you’re acted against your own? But that do go against the military aspect of your mind, the chain of command and the loyalty of fellow comrades. That is why you take away the guns of the enemies while keeping it at bay for your own. Such a gentleman you are!

But as CS of Interior you need to spread more fear!

social_media_kenya_statistics_research_firefly_thumb

Nkaissery on Social Media:

Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has issued a stern warning to those using social media to perpetrate hatred in the country ahead of the next General Elections. Nkaissery was speaking after some Maa leaders declared him the Maasai leader after the death of the two reigning Maasai leaders in 2016. Nkaissery has further declared Maasailand a Jubilee zone” (WatsUpAfrica, 2017).

You’re trying to act as a gentleman, but you’re forcing out more police officers and security personnel in the strongholds of CORD, while also taking away security guards for opposition governors and at the same time threating fellow peers, because of how they are supposed to use the Social Media. Since the Jubilee like PR and the media to spread their message to the public and would like the CORD not to question their PR bonanza that usually occurs, like when they released their Party with red-cars and used State House as a bonafide venue for Party Work.

CS Nkaissery, if you’re thinking you’re a grand politician and respected one, you are perfectly wrong, I expect more violence under your signature and of your operations before the General Election. Nkaissery your will wild-out claim the CORD is wrong as the law are already signed and the Election Laws that are helpful to ushering in the Jubilee for the second time, let the ruling President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto continue to rule. The rulers are amending and securing their positions, while spreading fear in the opposition strongholds months before the polls.

You’re such a genius CS Nkaissery, first you are putting out more officers, than taking away security details and later saying that people should watch their words on Social Media. Can you not put more restrictions on walking across the road and where they are selling water? Since you are all controlling and wants to silence them, you would have detained the CORD leadership if you could wouldn’t you Honourable Nkaissery? It’s boiling in your blood and your acting as the totalitarian leader, not the democratic and respectable the Kenyans deserves.

Certainly the CS of Interior isn’t an easy job, but your CV and your history against the CORD show’s you have no intention of dialogue, you throw tear-gas and detain, even brutality against innocent pedestrians, at one point your police officers killed a pedestrian who we’re around a demonstration in Nairobi; a person who was going to the bank and your police officers beat the man so brutally, that he died on the Nairobi streets. That is in your name and under your leadership that a man of that stature died. You shall always in my mind be remembered for the violence created when the #IEBCDemos we’re happening.

CS Nkaissery, what was more disturbing was that you didn’t care to say sorry for the violence and the ones ending at the hospital, the bullets and the havoc you made to silence the opposition. Instead of talking and negotiations, you sent the Police in Anti-Riot gear and militarized road-blocks to stop their civic duty. If this happens this year as well and yet another pedestrian just dies in vain, that will be on your watch and on your tab. That persons family and friends, are your sorrow to keep. You CS Nkaissery have responsibility for all citizens, even the opposition’s safety, not just the ones with membership in the Jubilee Party.

So time to act as a leader and Cabinet Secretary for all Kenyans, not just the loyal soldier for Kenyatta and Ruto; you are bigger than that right? Time for you’re to take it easy and think of the repercussions of your actions. The indicated vicious and malice attempt to silence the opposition proves your fear of your own record. You could be noble, but you’re not, you could be a grand big-man, instead you’re spreading fear and creating havoc.

Is that he legacy you want Hon. CS. Joseph Ole Nkaissery?

Peace.

Opinion: Tired of the ‘last words of Mwenda’ against the FDC and Besigye!

mwenda-lastword-banner-3

Mwenda, Andrew Mwenda the Independent Magazine owner and editor, the man who knows all about how to rant against fellow political opponents, than a month later praising them, like they are the next one to save the world. In one week Museveni can be the worst and the other week he will be the hero. The same is with the Forum for Democratic Change and Dr. Kizza Besigye, all through December 2016 and this beginning 2017 his focus has been bashing on Besigye like he is AIDS.

Mwenda has a fetish or worse a deluded mind where he uses all kind of words to address why Besigye isn’t the President, without considering the fact of the power of ‘the old man with the hat’. The editor rant is about the organizations, the loss of local elections and the losing of presidential election going back to Dr. Paul Ssemogerere of the Democratic Party who ran against President Museveni and all of his campaign we’re filled with attacks and brutality. Just like all of Besigye’s has been, it is a reason why he is for the second time in his life-time charged with treason against the Republic. All of those explanations vanish like water meet the heat of the sun and becomes part of the air.

Mwenda’s rants concluded with today’s word calling FDC a Cult on Facebook. Where he was calling literally Besigye a Cult leader, because Mwenda has to grind out every little bit of anger into the public sphere. He added videos of the inauguration of Nana Addo in Accra where Besigye we’re invited, Mwenda had this to say about the Ghanaian President speech: “In these two videos, newly elected Ghanaian president, who invited FDC cult leader to his inauguration, parrots the inaugural speeches of Bill Clinton in 1993 and George Bush in 2001. Besigye’s 2010 manifesto copied David Cameron’s Conservative Party manifesto almost word for word” (Mwenda, 08.01.2016). So his words are saying itself how he has to attack the man for attending and being invited while Museveni is busy bodying himself to drop “Presidential Handshakes”.

Ferry for Besigye to Busuga 16.11.15

“Besigye’s despotism in FDC:

Earlier in the day he wrote this too against Besigye: “Most of the FDC leaders i have interviewed ran away from NRM after witnessing the same trend. Now they say that compared to Besigye and his FDC fanatics, M7 and his NRM look like the best democrats one can find. In short Besigye had established a ruthless and intolerant dictatorship over the FDC and now relies on the cult of personality rather than on institutions to govern” (…) “While Besigye fanatics claim I have been hired by NRM to tarnish the name of their cult leader, the information I post here is always supplied to me by the top ranking members of FDC who want to rescue the party and Uganda’s democracy from the tyranny of extremism and the despotism of Besigye” (Mwenda, 08.01.2017).

So he continues his rants, his words of direct attack, as there are rare breed and the Besigye is giant problem. Besigye is the reason for the losses; Besigye is the reason for everything. If it rains it’s Besigye, if it snows it is Beisgye, if it is wind it is Besigye and if it is sun by all means it is Besigye. That is how you can talk in the sense of Mwenda. He is the weatherman who always will pin the blame on Besigye, and by all current codex or modus operandi it will be boiled down to Besigye. Nobody else, the others are needed props in tale of fatigue, lacking organization or even repeatedly popular personality of Besigye. Instead of asking why was there yet again Primary Elections where Besigye won over Gen. Mugish Muntu. Something that didn’t happen in the Movement, where Museveni where sole-candidacy for Presidency and Mbabazi wasn’t allowed to run against him! Something that Mwenda wouldn’t mention, for one simple reason, it will blow his mind and lose his marbles. Mwenda will be little prick who thinks he is a genius, but misses key aspects of matter. Like you need water or milk to drink tea. You can try to boil coke, but the tea will not mix well, but boiled milk or water will make a perfect blend.

Mwenda’s rants are now pointless and personal, like vendetta against the FDC and Besigye. Like he has to attack them! He cannot do anything else, if not he loses his mind. I know I write against Museveni a lot too, but usually with context of economy or recent acts, but Mwenda recreate the election and the internal organization of FDC without caring about factors that are put into play with no regard of the political status in the Republic. FDC are not alone on the losing end of Movement, but Mwenda acts like they are the only one, there is UPC, DP, Farmer’s Party, TIC, UFA and so on.

Kisoro FDC 01.02.2016 Muntu Rally Police

Like yesterday’s rant: “Besigye die hards are either cowards or hypocrites or both. While they make the loudest noise on how they are ready to die for him, they have done nothing (except for insulting critics on social media) to prove they are worthy of their claims. Each time Besigye goes to town, Kale Kayihura sends only eight (8) police men who pick Besigye like chicken, bundle him over a pickup truck and take him to police as these “ready-die-for-our-man” fanatics watch helplessly” (Mwenda, 07.01.2017).

He goes again into insults not only Besigye, but his supporters, because what else there to do. Because he doesn’t have a valid argument as long as he is putting FDC and Besigye in vacuum, the same kind of empty hole his arguments and reasoning is for the moment. 2017 stroke Mwenda and his mind went haywire. To prove the nonsense of this man, let’s take a piece of the rant of the day before:

“Over the last 16 years, Besigye has concentrated all the meager resources of the opposition on one singular objective, to capture the presidency. Yet we all know that maintaining the presidency is the most important objective of M7 and the NRM where he has concentrated most of his resources” (…) “Now FDC is much weaker relative to NRM. Not only that. NRM is also backed by the power of the state. By concentrating all opposition resources to attack NRM at its most fortified position, Besigye has expended his meager resources to secure an objective where he has the least chance of success. This is a strategic blunder” (Mwenda, 06.01.2017).

The relative argument itself is disgusting, because even if NRM is a ordinary party as Mwenda make it seems, it still is freighting how little he consider how the ambitions are under siege in the NRM, therefore handpicked and rigged members are becoming leaders, but that part of the argument is lost on Mwenda. Because that makes NRM more fragile than Mwenda wants to say. As well as the FDC primary model is better than NRM, though not perfect it still are more democratic than NRM ever will be. Another reason why the debate of Muntu and Besigye in the FDC are a valid one, directly opposite in the NRM where there is no discussion if VP Edward Ssekandi or PM Rukhana Ruganda will ever challenge Museveni. But that is a silent and a mute-point. If doing so your devaluing the epitome of all Ugandan wishes is to have Museveni for life as the chairman of the Movement and Executive of the Republic. Another thing, Mwenda doesn’t have the balls to connects when taking in consideration the stalemate in FDC and in other parties. In a state where it isn’t really democratic, in the sense that NRM are rigging when needed to control the Parliament and all other political offices in the country. The rest is just a front. Strange that Mwenda cannot mention that either. But that is another illness, that his eyes looks away from.

The flawed and the lost plot, is why all of sudden has went into mayhem and going all in to attack FDC and Besigye, Mwenda seems like only dreaming and thinking about them. That is the only thing that boggles his precious minds and the only discussion he can have in the Independent Magazine, as the other obstacles of the Republic can be redundant.  Peace.

CORD Statement: A Great Betrayal has been committed against Kenyans (06.01.2017)

Kenya Parliament

Our Parliament has witnessed some bizarre scenes and moments between 2013 and now. It has witnessed several attempts by the Jubilee regime to raid the constitution and overturn the will of the people for individual gain. It has witnessed blatant efforts to reintroduce dictatorship in the country in the name of giving the President power to fight insecurity. The list is long.

But the spectacle that began in the National Assembly during a special sitting late last month and ended in the Senate last night, count among the most bizarre. It stands out as a blatant willingness by the Jubilee regime to sell out the entire country for no reason other than the survival of the increasingly unpopular corruption-ridden government.

One by one, Jubilee senators, disregarding irregularities and illegalities in the process, cast their ballot for the Bill whose sole aim is to make it easy for the regime to allow underage and dead voters to cast their votes in addition to stuffing the ballot boxes in the elections slated for August 2017.

Jubilee committed a great betrayal on the people of Kenya last night in the same way it did last month in the National Assembly. Jubilee has disowned what was initially a bipartisan agreement that pulled us from the brink and turned it into a full-blown national and government crisis.

In its desperate bid to create opportunities to rig the election, Jubilee senators went as far as fraudulently casting votes using their nominated senators who had no authority from the elected senators to represent their respective delegations. During all the discussions in both the National Assembly and the Senate, Parliament was put under siege by the overwhelming presence of the Police and other security agencies whose purpose was to intimidate legislators into passing the laws under duress.

This is now a crisis because the people of Kenya are determined today more than ever to hold free, fair, transparent and credible elections the results of which will have to be verifiable.

We will respond to this betrayal of the people comprehensively, decisively and firmly. We therefore wish to announce that we have invited all our elected leaders; members of county assemblies, members of the National Assembly, senators, governors and women representatives both elected and aspirants on opposition tickets to a meeting next Wednesday, 11th January 2017 at the Bomas of Kenya to deliberate on the developments. At this meeting a critical decision will be taken and communicated to all Kenyans on our plans to deal with this betrayal of the people by Jubilee and ensure free, fair, transparent and credible elections in August 2017.

Signed
