Opinion: The CSTO seems to be over…

This week has shown that the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is a pointless and worthless defence pact. The nation in the alliance are not safeguarded or defended. The main sponsor or biggest army, the Russian army seems ambivalent or too busy in the Ukrainian invasion to help out others. The exhaust of the invasion of Ukraine is now showing Kremlin to be powerless and lack military strength to support other member states of the CSTO.

The CSTO was supposed to defend and help out Armenia this week. However, they never shown up and didn’t mind that Azerbaijan did attack Armenia. They could just violate the territories of Armenia and the CSTO wouldn’t do anything. Even when the Armenian government did invoke Article 4 in the CSTO agreement. This just shows that the CSTO is becoming a redundant defence pact. They cannot even show up when a nation call upon them.

In the same regard, which is even more striking is the Tajikistan attacks on Kyrgyzstan. Tajikistan has attacked and went into contested areas. Where the Tajikistan armed forces has gone after villagers, and attacked civilians too. There been at least three ceasefires, but Tajikistan has violated them again and again this week. Therefore, the CSTO cannot even look into the acts made by the nations itself.

The CSTO seems like a lost project. Especially, when nations who is members can attack each other without any ramifications and when a member is violated without any reactions or seriousness of it. Armenia is a nation like that. A nation that is an ally of Russia and still nothing. Azerbaijan seems to be living large and be okayed by Putin. Since, there is nothing of substance in concerns to military assistance or even diplomatic measures. The Azerbaijani forces can just do what it does and there is no noise.

The same can be said about the Tajikistan army who are violating and having skirmishes on Kyrgyzstan territories. That has been done and the CSTO hasn’t invoked any meeting or dialogue of any sense. No, the CSTO is a bystander and wondering what it does Certainly, Putin would support the aggressor. Since, Putin prefers dictators and tyrannies over democracies.

That’s why Putin is supporting Azerbaijan and Tajikistan in these wars. Even when these are deliberately showing the West and everyone else that CSTO is a dead-fish in the water. There is nothing there and it won’t care about the nations itself. The Russian army is maybe to damaged and stretched in war in Ukraine. That it cannot help or be at service to the member states of CSTO.

That just shows the weakness of the whole CSTO. As it all evolved around the Russian Federation and the “superpower” it was meant to be. The only thing it does is validating the sense of tyrants standing together and allowed to attack other sovereigns. While the CSTO “values” or actual “defence pact” is worthless. It is not even worth the ink on the paper it was written on.

That’s what is striking here. These wars in Central Asia or the Caucasus is only showing what Putin is losing. His not a feared man and neither is the organizations he has built. If the CSTO was supposed to be a reaction or a defence pact in comparison to NATO. It has surely lost its value and is meaningless. That’s obvious when member states attack each other or a member state is attacked; and nothing is happening at all.

The CSTO is bound to fail and dissolve. The wars and skirmishes in Caucasus is showing that. If this is a plan. Certainly, Putin is losing influence and only weakening his own case. Because he have no Defence Pact and leverage with former USSR republics. They are more independent and don’t even have to be concerned with Kremlin or what Moscow might want. There is no connection or no bother really. They know Putin or Kremlin won’t mind either. He just looks away and is unbothered about the whole thing. Peace.

Opinion: Is the CSTO ready to be tested? [In Armenia or Tajikistan]

This week the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is put under pressure. That is happening as the Russian army is under fire and getting hit hard on the front-lines in Ukraine. Russians as the “superpower” of the CSTO and with the losses in Ukraine. Certainly the warfare in Ukraine is weakening not only Russia, but the CSTO itself. That’s why this weeks actions against Member States of CSTO begs to question. Is the CSTO up to it? Or was it a dream turned into a nightmare in Kremlin?

The CSTO has been Moscow controlled and centralized from there to have some sort of military alliance and influence over former Soviet Republics. That’s why the CSTO consist of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Former Member States are Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan. While Serbia is the only state, which is an observer to the CSTO.

Why I am saying CSTO is in trouble?

Well, the recent skirmishes between Azerbaijan and Armenia is the first push. Where the Azerbaijan has attacked Armenia in contested areas. Which has killed unknown amount of soldiers and used artillery on Armenia soil. The Azerbaijan army has even attacked a Russian FSB van in the border region. So, this here shows how volatile things are.

In addition to the acts and skirmishes between Azerbaijan and Armenia. While the Kyrgyzstan’s border force has attacked the Tajikistan as well. That’s two more conflicts involving the member states of the CSTO.

The Armenian state has already invoked or plans to invoke the article of the pact, which says the other member state has to help them out in a conflict. This means the fellow alliance members has to come to Armenia with military aide.

The question here now will be… has Russia or Belarus any real army capacity to offer? Will, the Russians depleted armies and stretched manpower be able to help Armenia in the hour of need?

There is already talk of the very independent Armenia not helping in the war in Ukraine. That the Russians might be reluctant to help them now. Since, the Russian would have needed support, both equipment and brigades in the war in Ukraine. However, there has only been help and support from Minsk.

Tajikistan has offered equipment and ammunition to the Russians for the war in Ukraine. So, that’s another ball-game.

We will see who Moscow will come to support. This is their alliance and counter-pact to the NATO. So, it has to prove it’s value now, as the members are now hurt and their sovereignty is hit by neighbours, which is what Moscow is doing to Kyiv. However, Moscow can be a hypocrite about that, as long as that fits the interests of Kremlin or His Excellency, Putin.

This will surely be a test for the Russian alliance, the CSTO. That is under fire right now. The border skirmishes and clashes are only showing how the Member States needs support. That Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan is attacking their neighbours. There is certainly a lot at play here.

We just have to see how the Kremlin moves now. They have to show their worth. In the moment and time, when their own forces and armies aren’t in a good place either. As the Ukrainian advances are hitting everywhere. The launched Special Operation in Ukraine is certainly backfiring and we can wonder if they have enough resources to boost their allies of the CSTO. Peace.

Albania: Ordinary tourists isn’t illegally trying to access an arms factory…

In Albania, two Russians and a Ukrainian were detained while trying to break into a military factory near the town of Gramsh. One of the Russians resisted and wounded two soldiers guarding the plant. All of the detainees are suspected of espionage” (Nexta, 21.08.2022).

The Albanian Ministry of Defence announced the arrest of two Russians and a Ukrainian, while trying to enter an arms factory. “Three citizens with Russian and Ukrainian passports tried to enter the plant. When trying to stop three foreign citizens, two of our soldiers were injured, ”the department noted. The Russian Embassy in Albania stated that it has not yet received information from the authorities of the republic about the detention of the Russians” (David Kime, 21.08.2022).

The suspects of espionage came to Albania, as tourists, claimed to be journalists, photographers and bloggers. They clearly had a mission of sorts, because who visits a military factory or arms production, unannounced?

Who carries chemicals on them that is life-endangering to the ones that inhales or gets it on their skin? Like the two soldiers who is wounded and in the hospital. Any ordinary tourists carries soft-drinks, snacks and possibly some souvenirs. However, most tourists isn’t carrying or having in case dangerous chemicals in their back-packs. That’s just a given…

This is why this story is of a spy-novel. It isn’t a tale of tourists or of tourism. This didn’t happen on the Albanian Riviera, walking around in the BulkArt or taking photos of the town of Gjirokastër. That’s what tourists would do. If not enjoy the other tourist sites in Tirana or elsewhere in the Albanian republic for that matter.

They are now claimed to connected to the FSB and the spy agency of the Russian federation. This seems likely. Since, it is a plot taken out of a spy-movie. The ones in the plot used the means of tourist visa and tried to access a military base/arms factory. That is really telling what the Russians are willing to do.

If this isn’t suspicious activity nothing is. We know certain parts of the internet is downplaying it. However, this sounds fishy and is questionable at best. Because, as a seldom tourist myself. I would visit historical sites, recommended by Lonely Planet or whatnot. I wouldn’t try to illegally enter or be anywhere near a military base/arms factory. I got nothing to do there and it wouldn’t be my place to be at. That’s why the story of just taking photographs or passing by doesn’t make sense.

This was a planned attempt of entry and because it failed. The soldiers who stopped them got the consequences of doing so. They got hurt and is suffering for whatever type of chemical the spies had on them. It just not common to carry or to even have it. That just shows what sort of mission they were a part of certainly they had tasks to fulfil in Albania.

If not… they wouldn’t have risked this mission and tried to access it. Because, the FSB and the Russians wants to know what is going on there. Peace.

Opinion: Putin waged a war on Ukraine [and cannot manage the reaction from Finland]

The presidents had a sincere exchange of views over the announced decision by Finland’s leadership to apply for NATO membership” (…) “Vladimir Putin stressed that rejecting the traditional policy of military neutrality would be wrong since there are no threats to Finland’s security. Such a change in the country’s foreign policy course could have a negative effect on Russia-Finland relations, which have been built over the course of many years in the spirit of neighborliness and partnership cooperation and have a mutually beneficial nature” the Kremlin noted” (TASS – ‘Finland’s rejecting military neutrality policy would be wrong, says Putin’ 14.05.2022).

We are now 80 days into the war in Ukraine. There is 80 days since the Russian-Belorussian invasion of Ukraine. That bloody war has had a lot reactions and resulted in diplomatic changes across Europe. The Russians and Kremlin most likely didn’t plan or think this would have such affects to attack a sovereign Republic. The Russians was just re-taking what was theirs and doing it, because the Ukraine has no nationhood. That is how they proclaimed it, but everyone knows that Ukraine has a vast history and is a historical territory. Therefore, the justification to do so is fraudulent and only done so Putin could get a buddy in-charge of Kyiv.

We know now that Kremlin and Russia doesn’t respect the sovereignty of the neighbour nations. The current leadership has no issues to take territory and annex it. The Russians has no issues using every reason under the sun to attack, kill and destroy a former USSR republic. That is what the world has learned from Putin the last three months.

So, Putin is said to be a brilliant strategist. However, him and Kremlin is only coming out with warnings to the neighbours. The Russians are coming with stern words and saying it will destroy relations. However, what else are the nations supposed to do? Are they supposed to wait their turn to be violated? Is Finland, Sweden, Moldova, Georgia and whoever else supposed to wait for their turn?

Because, that is what Russia wants… they want all the sovereign countries in their proximity to be non-aligned and be a free-for-all. The Kremlin and Duma wants the former USSR and other neighbours to be totally neutral. In such a manner, that they have no friends and relations who can help them, if they get attacked or invaded by Russia. That is what I understand from this.

Putin wants the power and the ability to attack them. Kremlin wants the sovereignty and integrity to control its neighbours. While the nations themselves are not allowed to make alliances or be parts of the rest of the Europe. That is what Putin wants.

Putin wants total suction and influence. He don’t want nations to go towards Europe or the West in general. Finland and other nations are seeking NATO or EU to get into an alliance or common trading market, which is beneficial for them. The memberships of NATO or EU is helping them both by having European allies. Therefore, that is hurting Russians and their influence in Eastern Europe.

Kremlin should reconsider itself. Putin should think for once that people react and realign themselves when they see what the Russians are willing to do. The Russians waged war on Ukraine and the rest of Europe is changing because of it. It is just like Putin thinks a war doesn’t have consequences and wouldn’t possibly backfire on him.

Helsinki changed their position and saw a need to get closer to their allies. As the “neutrality” would be a danger for them. They are seeing what is happening to Kyiv and it is only wise to seek a defensive alliance. When the Russian Federation is attacking a sovereign neighbour like Ukraine. Peace.

Uzbekistan: Kamilov demoted for defending Ukraine

First of all, the situation around Ukraine is a matter of serious concern in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is committed to finding a peaceful solution to the situation and resolving the conflict through political and diplomatic means. For this, first of all, military operations and violence must stop immediately. Uzbekistan has historically had traditionally multifaceted relations with both Russia and Ukraine. And we will continue mutually beneficial cooperation with both countries based on our national interests. We will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in these difficult times and will continue to do so in light of the current difficult situation. In turn, Uzbekistan recognizes the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We do not recognize the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics” – Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov (17.03.2022).

Today on the 27th April 2022 after three weeks of uncertainty and supposed sickness. The Foreign Minister is officially demoted and Vladimir Norov is appointed in his stead. Norov was the Foreign Minister between 2006-2010. So, he is an experienced man for the role. Kamilov is moved (appointed) to become the Deputy Secretary of Uzbekistan’s Security Council. Where Kamilov will be responsible for Foreign Policy and Security.

So, most likely the reason why he has been in the shadow and not been heard is because of his stance. He stood in defiance against Kremlin and President Putin. It is now clear that speech in the Parliament in March cost his prestigious position as the Foreign Minister.

Kamilov is a man of Uzbekistan who stood in solidarity with Ukraine. He defended Ukraine against the Russian aggression and violation of their sovereignty. That says something about him. This should be recognized as he is demoted and his future is now sealed.

Since he did that statement in Parliament he was not to be seen. That seems like a deliberate act of the Uzbekistan government and authorities. Because, they would fear backlash and the ramification of doing this. This is why his first silenced, not seen and rumours of his sickness.

Now weeks after that there is now reports of demotions and someone to overtake his role. Yes, an experienced man and someone who has held this office before. That’s why that man will not defend the “indefensible” and “offend” Kremlin. He will be careful and dance softly to the tunes of Putin.

That’s what Kamilov dared to challenge and defend Kyiv. He didn’t be another token puppet of Moscow. Kamilov stood for something and it was righteous. That’s why he was silenced and later when the fade went away demoted. This is very obvious…

The authorities and government of Tashkent might refute or rebuke this. However, the sun is set on it and they wouldn’t have hid the man. If he didn’t offend the Don or didn’t baffle the autocrats of Uzbekistan. Because, if this was supported he would have been praised and wouldn’t have been hidden. However, they took him out of the public sphere and now weeks later demoted. That is just showing that the Uzbekistan government is answering a diplomatic impasse, which was possibly created.

Nevertheless, Kamilov did something righteous and was brave to do so. The government of Tashkent is clearly afraid of Moscow and that’s why they did this… Peace.

Opinion: Putin been the supreme leader since 2000 [and the latest deadline ends in 2036]

President Vladimir Putin took over power after Boris Jeltsin resigned on New Years Eve in 1999. Since then Putin have been the man in Moscow and its has been all about the KGB agent. Who has reigned supreme and continues to do so.

Putin have really reigned everyone in. Changed law when needed be. Silenced critics. Killing them off with poison abroad and used all means to gain more power. With every day and every year he seems to get more consolidated in power. Even when the newest critics and dissidents gets a name abroad. His still able to catch it all and control it. Though it hurts his pride and his ego that people like Nalvanyj is creating headlines. That people are going streets over his messages and videos. They are supposed to praise their Tsar and forever Prince, Putin.

Vladimir has a legacy and has been able to keep himself put. He has even stirred the presses abroad as his tactics and possible meddling is now known about. That his FSB and other agencies are involved in cyber crimes and data dumps. The Russians are using new means to sway public opinion and even uses social media to get their candidates elected across the world.

Putin has surely made himself a name. Vladimir Putin is known across the world. The Russian President for life. The tyrant and the mastermind of Kremlin. The man who gets his wishes. Who gets to live in a palace of greatness. Who has massive wealth and hangs out with oligarchs. And if the Oligarchs questions his rule. They could loose it all and weaponize the courts against them. So, that their wealth vanish as quickly as it is possible and the fear keeps them loyal to him.

Russia isn’t thriving anymore. Russia is tired. They are using all means to cause fights with Kiev. Putin is playing to nationalist aspiration and loyalty to the “crown”. Putin wants to be the Tsar so badly. He wants the Winter Palace and be epic Soviet ruler. However, he will be remembered for all the people he killed. Putin will be remembered for all the laws and the silencing of the people.

Putin will not be remembered kindly, except for the ones who profited on his reign and who built careers around it. They will cry and be in sorrow when his gone. The rest will hope for an reformer and someone who aspires for change. That is why Nalvanyj and the likes is hitting a nerve. These folks are able to get the truth and get people to march in the streets for a just cause. A cause that is working against the status quo.

Putin wants to be loved and be the big man. Vladimir wants to be known as the powerful and silent leader. Though his actions is well known and he uses all means to get things done. Putin doesn’t spare anyone their demise. He will ensure it happens, if they are leaking or even going after what is his.

That is why the new law giving him another 15 years on the throne was to be anticipated. By the man who has ruled successfully since the beginning of 2000. He had a second term as Prime Minister in the middle of that. Nevertheless, that was a small time play to make it seems like he “stepped a bit down”. He came straight back to the Presidency and Dmitry Medvedev was demoted back to Prime Minister. Medvedev had before that been the Deputy Prime Minister, as he had agreed the “tandem rule”.

Since then, the one term of Medvedev have been the only “break” for Putin. Which only seems to be preoccupied with ensuring his reign never ends. Putin will be the Tsar and the Tyrant of Moscow for another decade. All elections and all other electoral actions will only be sham elections to secure his “legitimacy”. That is the reality of it all. This law is only made to make him President for Life. Peace.

Opinion: Trump is the drooZHOK [little friend] of Russia

The Manchurian Candidate of 2016 continues to deliver for Kremlin. Donald J. Trump has been so friendly to Russia, that the former Soviet Republic’s haven’t been so favourable as Washington D.C. have been in the recent years. Who else would use their power to extend the force of Moscow.

President Trump has given way to Russians in Syria. He has tried to get Russia back in G-7. Also, have used all his means to weaken NATO, which is also a positive strategic move for them. The US President is also weakening the military presence in Europe by pulling out of Germany. All moves are done in favour of Moscow. It is just like the President wants to accommodate them by any means.

That is why he has favoured the annexation of Crimea. While damaging the Ukrainian case for keeping it. The Russians always get their way. It is just like the President wants to serve them sliders and let them eat all the treats.

The President is now under fire and reasonably so. As he has disregarded intelligence or not tried to shield serving troops in Afghanistan. The President has effectively let the Russians and their operatives through GRU. The same fellows who secured the leaks and hacking of the DNC in the 2016. The same guys who rigged and helped the elections in 2016. These guys are paying Taliban to kill American soldiers on Afghan soil. They put a bounty on their heads and the US President didn’t care, because that would hurt his relations to Putin.

This is how deep this is. It follows a pattern of sucking up and being positive to the regime in Moscow. They are accepting this for who knows what. If the President thinks he will clear the Trump Tower in a business district in the Russian Capital or not. Since, there is always ties involved and money laundered through his businesses wouldn’t be shocking either. The US President uses all means to get points on the dollar, especially when he doesn’t have to put no work in. Only suck up to big-men and get a pay-off. That is a dream deal for him.

President Trump giving up a few troops, letting them die for selfish reasons wouldn’t be shocking in 2020. Not like he has shred a tear of the 125,000 dead over COVID-19. They can just die as long as Wall Street is printing money like there is no tomorrow.

Trump has always defended Putin. He has the best and most mushy moments when he has presser in combination of meetings with him. If it was in Japan or Finland. Every time they have met it has been so rosy and beautiful like they were having late date nights. Just like the photos of Russian ambassador Kislyak and Foreign Minister Lavrov.

We also know he waited forever to sign the sanctions against Russia earlier in his terms. Trump waited for so long, even if the House and Senate was all in for it. They we’re awaiting for the President to act on this, but he didn’t.

It is just like he likes to play to the tunes of Soviet Propaganda Songs. Like his singing to the Red Soldier:

Brothers, it’s the time,

We defeated the executioners,

So than this hell of an old world,

Could not stifle us” (Red Soldier). Enough. Peace.
