“Bullets and teargass have locked Jinja town as police tried to disperse the people’s president Kizza Besigye’s supporters have received as he walked out of NBS Radio studios where he had appeared for about 3 hours. As soon as they saw their President people started singing and shouting slogans in praise of Kizza Besigye. The police swung on action to disperse them” (Uganda Live TV, 16.03.2019).
We have seen this going on before, as the Leader of the Opposition, the People’s President of the People’s Government, the stark alternative to the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and its President. Today, the People’s President Dr. Kizza Besigye was scheduled to be a guest at the NBS Radio 89.4 FM on the 10 AM “On Air” there.
We are seeing that the popularity of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leader is still there, as his consistency cannot be understated. The persistence of his work and trying to have a peaceful transition from the NRM to a democratic elected government, which is not rigged in and directly manifested control by all security organization. Which also was in play today.
We are again seeing that the Police Force and Resident District Commissioner Eric Sakwa couldn’t contain the citizens, the supporters of Besigye there. Again, they had to use violent force to stop them and get the meeting to stop.
Surely, this sort of meeting and gathering wasn’t notified or followed the ordinary protocol of the Public Order Management Act. Alas, this was the supporters and the public itself turning up and not planning this. This is what can be called suction and surge of the public towards a popular leader. Not just some random suspect. That is why usually the radios are banned or blocked before the FDC leader comes. Because, the state cannot manage the popularity of Besigye and does whatever it can to contain it. Even break their own laws to stifle his movement or party works.
The people should be allowed to post up somewhere. They should be allowed to gather and show support of a political leader. That is why the Police went all out crazy and made fuzz. Surely, Besigye have been in this before and not the last time either. As long as Museveni rules, this will be the law. Even if it is foolish and making the police look partisan, which it is. Kifeesi at its best. Peace.

This upcoming election isn’t about reforms, isn’t about progress or about the ability to go forward. This up-coming election isn’t about the legacy nor the options or selections of candidates. That sort of ship has sailed, as the Age Limit bill enacted into law. Fixing the 1995 Constitution into the image, which the President needed.
We can all fool say, that Robert Kyagulanyi or Dr. Kizza Besigye have a shot this time. We can all joke around and think that the Forum for Democratic Change, Uganda People’s Congress, Justice Forum or the Democratic Party have a possible outreach to challenge the Movement. We can all mock ourselves, thinking that Norbert Mao, Asuman Basalirwa and James Akena will push the boundaries for this up-coming election. However, we all know that is a lie.
It is not that I am again change, not that I am against any of the opposition parties. I am not, but the cynical and free thinking spirit in me is saying, that this election is already pre-rigged, prepared and settled. There are no bounds for victory elsewhere. That is false-hope, which is fiction. It is political suicide to think that you can conquer or even beat Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2021.
The only thing that can conquer him at this point is either that the military, the generals and the ones closest to the army are turning against him. If not its his age and his health that will go into default stages because of his advanced age. Therefore, when concerning ballots, campaigning and all the rest is a farce for the façade.
The façade of a democracy and an election of some sense. That the public are in-line awaiting their turn to throw their ballot into the boxes. Where the party and candidates hold rallies and come with manifestoes and pledges. They all can promise new and fresh days, all new roses and chapattis, not to talk about working out the bottlenecks and getting the country into a middle-income nation. However, how much of a mirage that is at this point.
We know they will do this, will come out, guns blazing and fuming with fire. They all will come as statesmen and nobles, stand up tall and smile, glace at the crowds and mysteriously be gone in the next hot-minute after the polls. Because, that is just what they do. They came all in, but forgotten the next moment.
As that is happening, as the 2021 elections are getting prepared. Let us not fool ourselves. We already knows who wins, who will have the margin in the Parliament and who will have the elective officials behind him. Not because he is the best candidate, neither the second best either, but he is the only alternative, because he cannot lose. Since the system is built on his image and his vision. It is all him and everyone else is supposed to bow down to his majesty, the royal king and this is his domain. The Republic and its citizens are his servants and they should be humble and oblige him for another term. Even if that means his eight shot to strike Royal Flush.
Clearly, the Movement, the President and the whole state apparatus will act like it is a fair game, when its not. It’s rigged and settled before even the ballots are procured. This game isn’t changing anything. This election could have been similar in 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 or 2015. Even in 1980, but then there was another master who rigged that election. Now, it’s his time, yet again. Peace.

The Partisan Police Force was again at it, as the Democratic Party and Uganda Young Democrats had scheduled a Reunion on the Jinja Rugby Grounds. The Party Officials and the Organizers had notified as by law to hold the meeting in Jinja, however, the Police blocked the venue and did arrest several of DP officials.
What was striking as the authorities, the DP Reunion, took the DP President Norbert Mao was blocked, there was thrown tear-gas in Jinja. But, the Police quickly reported to the Daily Monitor, that the President of DP was negotiation and holding a consulting meeting with the officers at the Central Police Station of Jinja. Not, that he was directly arrested as previously reported by other sources. Clearly, there are something missing. As the State was notified, the paper trail has leaked online, by Mao himself. Therefore, it was known by the state since early February.
The Police does this simple cat- and mouse game with opposition. AS they have to comply with the restrictions of the Public Order Management Act and even if they do so. They still can be blocked for whatever reason the Regional Police Commander and others to clarify their intent. As, if the meeting and the rally itself was saying enough. We are getting close enough to the National Campaign Road Maps for 2020/21, that if a Party doesn’t comply them in combination with the POMA. They will be in deep trouble with the state. As we have seen previously in the Republic.
What the DP and UYD seen today isn’t groundbreaking, not a watershed moment or sign of the decades of control of Museveni. No, this is just the ordinary manifestation of the power and force, the state use against dissidents. Even the ones that usually complies and are very friendly to the powers, that be. But because, they still tries to operate as an independent opposition party, they still get into legal jeopardy. Because, that is how the state operates and continues to do so. Until the swearing-in of Museveni for the 6th time and pursuit of his 8 rings of service. There will surely be plenty more of this in the two years coming, 2020 and 2021, will be filled with stories like these. Just different names and parties, but the same mumbo jumbo.
What has been done in Jinja today to the leadership of the DP is nothing new. These arrests comes with a steady phase. Especially in a run-up to elections and within the narrow window of the campaigns. As well as during campaigns and the post-elections. If you’re lucky, you get extra bonus rounds of house-arrests and treason charges. That is for the unique, popular and resilient sort of politicians. Not mere mortals get that. They are behind bars and released on mockery of charges. Before, they try again to hold a rally or campaign. Peace.

The Democratic Party in Uganda have been for long, seemed like a NRM-Lite. Like the sort of brew, that stinks like the ruling party, but isn’t the ruling the party. Feel me?
Therefore, the latest Presser with DP President Norbert Mao is coming of age. Like Whiskey if you like, its supposed to get better with age. However, in the case of Mao, it becomes more bitter and less flavourful. He might have more swagger in words and could resemble a vintage Tamale Mirundi. But his actions are weak.
Mao could have acted with swift actions against the “Good DP”, the DP’s whose in favour of the President. This being Fred Mukusa Mbidde or Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi. However, as he said he didn’t favour their positions nor sanctioned them. They should question their allegiance to the Party. However, that not been in question. Even Mbidde has been hanging around Museveni and the NRM Party in needed time before the vote of EALA MPs. Therefore, he did it too eat.
That was fun cases, as the DP Party getting prospects of power and reach. Even Mao didn’t directly sponsor or go behind it. He still hasn’t sanctioned it. His soft actions of letting it be and letting the MPs decides for themselves, where they want to be.
However, his words haven’t been soft after the People’s Government of Kizza Besigye was formed. The words against Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Betty Nambooze Bakireke has been fierce. The daggers was out and he was ready to get his game. Clearly, Mao was insulted that they went to work with Besigye. A man he has called loser, surely, because Mao favoured Mbabazi the NRM member gone “independent” over a real opposition. That is why just like Museveni, Mao throws shade on the ones affiliating with other opposition.
Surely, Mao sees it fine to hanging out with Abed Bwanika and other into the fold. But they are growing the stature or the stamina of the NRM-lite. Instead, they are showing a diminishing factor and lack of progress. The DP isn’t looking better.
Neither is Mao, whose been brash with words against others. But he himself wasn’t capable of even running as MP in the last General Election of 2016 and his stint on the 2011 trail wasn’t amazing either. Maybe, that is why he has become so friendly with NRM and Mbabazi. Because, he needs kingpins and support. That is why he is still entertained on the NBS Frontline, while the likes Mira Matembe was kicked-out. Surely, the man whose drinks soda at the Police Stations, while the others are behind bars for the same “inciting violence and disturbing the peace”. Therefore, he must have done something to someone to have that reach.
That is why his so inactive and enable of sort, but when his own men, his own members and people are acting in spite of the regime. He comes kicking and screaming, but was soft like dove when the Mzee came knocking. Seriously, there is something not adding up. However, then again, the DP acts and talks like NRM-lite.
Therefore, he has to strike at the ones who forcefully shows finesse and goes against the dictatorship. Not just mere puppets for the facade. If Masaka’s own, Mathias Mpuga Nsamba showed gravitas like during the Walk to Work. That would be a living hell for the DP President. Who surely thinking of how to run as an MP or Presidential Candidate after the failure of last go-around. As his party is flinched between to stations and not sure where to take-off.
What is clearly showing is that Norbert Mao. Isn’t the enforcer or the deciding anything. He has a microphone and a office, but not using it. Because, people makes decisions on their own and don’t have to follow party line. Neither, if its being a GOOD DP or a BAD DP. That doesn’t matter.
This saga will continue, especially in the run-up to 2021. Mao got to make headlines and act like he does something. Even when he in reality does nothing. Just let them say and speak their peace. Not that it matters, as long as he doesn’t serve time or feel the stench of tear-gas while politicking. Peace.

“Many people have come out to me calling me to stand; we have been discussing this issue with my team, and I must say, me and my team seriously considering challenging Museveni in the next presidential election” – Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine on CNN on the 31st January 2019.
The Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi have made himself a name in the political sphere over the last two years. Where he has manoeuvred wisely and showed finesse. That has been shown by the character he has proven when concerning the By-Elections and his meetings with the public after landslides or other tragedies. He has answered a call and also questioned the authorities.
Therefore, today, isn’t new, what is new is that the MP who is travelling abroad on trip. Where now on CNN and proclaiming that he considers challenging, the almighty, the grandest of them all, the kingpin, the saint, the old man with the hat and the only man with a vision, Mr. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the coming General Election of 2021. That is new, its been speculated, but now, it is more vocal.
This could happen, as the NRM Apologist themselves has said ever since he became a threat, that Bobi Wine doesn’t have it in him or isn’t fit to be President. The President has to be certain calibre and fit a certain specimen of people, who the musician and lawmaker isn’t. That is what initial the message, if not that he is too young and inexperienced. All things that can be pushed against the man. Will be used.
However, as special this challenge is. There are still dire straits ahead for Bobi Wine. Just like previous Presidential Candidates and people who get popularity. They are all guarded, detained, charged with treason and their peers are in jeopardy too. That is what is happening already around Bobi Wine and he still has trials and court dates awaiting for his Treason Charge, which he collected Post Arua By-Election.
Therefore, nothing is written in stone. The legislation process ahead of the election is also in the works. Who knows what else the NRM and the NRM Caucus would put in the pile. They might even make a Age Limit, that you have to be 40/45 to run for President. So, that the Kyadondo East MP would not be eligible to run. The NRM has it in them to do so, they have already fixed the opportunity for Museveni to run for his 8th Term unofficially or the 6th Official Term.
By all means, I wish Bobi Wine well, but at this junction. Going up against Museveni is a false flag. That is just a mere facade. As he should have continued as an Independent MP- Not because I don’t believe he doesn’t have the character or ability to be President. No, because Museveni run the state, runs the election, and Bobi Wine will only suffer. There is no way out of this, where we see a just result. The ballots will be cooked, because the stakes are to high for Museveni to risk them.
Museveni will use the state to insult, to intimidate and to hassle all part of the process. Bobi Wine will be in as much legal trouble as Dr. Kizza Besigye. Bobi Wine will be followed by ISO, CMI and all kind of state kifeesi to silence him. If not stifle his meetings, his rallies and his possible campaigns. While the state will ferry, pay-off and secure a safe landing. Just like it has done countless of times for the President. Just with a new challenger and new hope.
Bobi Wine is inspirational, but at this mere moment. It doesn’t matter who challenge Museveni in the polls and on the ballot. Because, the counting and armed forces are behind Museveni. The results will be in his favour and go his way. No matter, if there is public will for Bobi Wine or Besigye. At this point, that doesn’t matter. Because, all the cards are stacked against them.
In the state of affairs, the only outcome of this, is more pain for Bobi Wine. More suffering for the people around Bobi Wine. There is only more impunity, lack of justice and freedom. The liberties of the one around is already closing in and if he pushes harder. The state will strike back.
Expect jail-time, house-arrest, abductions and court trials. Expect criminal proceedings, as has happen endlessly with Besigye. The same fate is ahead for Bobi Wine. Not because I wish it, but that is the plate that Museveni serves his enemies. That is the recipe that the President have at his disposal and he will use it. Especially against the ones that he fears.
I want to wish him well, but also fears for tomorrow. Because, this story has been played out before and has shown the destructive means of the President. Has shown what means he uses to take power. He does it again and again. This time he will repeat it to Bobi Wine just like his predecessors who also stood up.
So, when Bobi Wine returns at Entebbe International Airport. Don’t expect the NRM and the President to cheer. Expect some sort of guards and police to take him in. Put a crime on his ass and ensure, that he will not have a moment of peace. Peace.

“We are tired of a situation that our constitution is only amended when Mr Museveni feels that he desires something. When his term expires, the constitution is changed to give him another term. When attains the age limit, the constitution is amended to lift the age limit. When he becomes weak to campaign, the constitution is amended to have him on the throne without elections” – Betty Nambooze MP (30.01.2019).
Well, as anticipated, as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) have delivered their Road Map for General Elections in 2020/21. We can anticipate that the NRM and their NRM Parliamentary Caucus, will either drop some Private Bills or direct Electoral Reforms directly right before the polls. Just like it has done in the past. Like changing the boundaries of districts right before and ensuring more favourable candidates in these compared to the Opposition ones in the same region.
This is well-known tactics now during the last day, there been speculations delivered by the fantastic reporting of Sadab Kitatta Kaaya in the Observer, that the President are tired of hungry MPs and want to self-appoint them as he see fit, according with the results in any given district. So if he win Arua Municipality as President, the MP there would got to the NRM. That is the principal.
Also, with this move, the President is evidently taking away the opportunity for the NRM Members to vote for their given candidate, as they can handpick one favourable crony. Like in October 2015, the loyal crony and Minister of Justice Gen. Kahinda Otafiire lost to the detained Capt. Mugabe Dononzio Kahonda. So, the MP for Ruhiinda County went someone else, than the one in favour with the President. However, with the new rule, no Captain Mugabe would win, but Otafiire would be the chosen one. That is just the slim-picking of the President.
With the Age Limit, with the change of Presidential Terms, the Self-Styled President for Life, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will fix the laws as it favours him. Expect more of that in the coming time before the General Election of 2020/21. As he has seen the fire and swift changes within the electorate as Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has risen from the ashes of the ghetto into prominence.
He is not run-of-the-mill politician, neither is he part of the Bush-War Generation or anyone whose been associated with President. Certainly an Independent spirit, who the President cannot reside with and cannot contain. That is why, the changes of law, would be directed because he has seen the capabilities and the rigging couldn’t stop the new type of leadership. That is why the NRM and Bush-War Generation are calling him out and singling him out. Just like they did with Dr. Kizza Besigye.
For certain, the only awaiting the Republic is to change the form of government from Multi-Party Democracy and Republic, into a full fledged Kingdom, where the current day President Museveni turns into eternal King, the ruler of all Ugandans and with all it posses. Where his vision is the law, where his words are the fountain of glory and where his men is anointed into power. No need for elections, as the King by decree is levying who gets to be lawmakers, who gets to be merchants, who gets to be generals, who gets to be soldiers, who gets to be peasants and so-on.
That is what the game is missing after 33 years. As the NRM playing the court, playing the public and international community. With small legislative changes and rumours of twists, to ensure more control and less questions from anyone else. As the self-serving man and ruler, wants to reign without questions. That is who he is, the ones praising him for being the New Breed of Leadership in the 1990s, didn’t know him really. Because, with the years his character has been shown to the world and no PR Stunt can overshadow it.
President Museveni are ready to be King. Museveni, who is ready to become a royal monarch and let it be known to world. That the citizens of the former republic of Uganda, will be subjects of his Kingdom of Rwakitura. Where they are like livestock and not independent citizens, they are people who are there to serve the King and be his loyal subjects. The are supposed to bow for the King and feel blessed that he uses his time on them. Not complain and just be there as props in his Monarchy. Where he can order them around, but they are not supposed to address him back. Because, he as King is the word, that is holier than God and has more vision than anyone else. That is who he is, in his naked mind and how he acts.
He just need it enacted, get he ACTS and BILLS through Parliament. Than, it could be official. Also pay enough shillings to the NRM Caucus MPs. Time will tell, but by his actions and words. This wouldn’t be far fetched. Especially not his dreams of total control. Peace.

Isn’t it convenience in the beginning stages of the negotiations of the Budget Sessions for the Financial Year of 2019/2020. The National Resistance Movement (NRM) have secured the allocated funds for the President Donations Budget, so that the money is secured for the President Welfare Fund, which he can use as he pleases. This is something sorted out, as the NRM and President is already planning the Campaigns for 2020/21. That is the initial reason for this, nothing else. Since, the campaign season boast lots of funds, spending and usage of state resources to settle grievances with plenty of people, also paying added staff, buying cars to VIPs, campaign material and everything else.
So the President needs this secured early, as we can anticipate supplementary budgets for the State House and the President Welfare Fund, as the spending will run-off the roof. That is just what they do and also did with the last General Election Period.
Take a look!
“Cabinet has resolved that Parliament should continue allocating money to the president’s welfare fund. This is the fund that the president uses to deliver financial pledges. There has been concern from civil society over reduction of funding for the Youth Livelihood Fund implemented by Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development in the planning for the 2019/20 financial year and creation of a vote for a Youth Fund under State House. The creation of the Shs130 billion Youth Livelihood Fund under State House has resulted into the reduction of Gender Ministry funding from Shs 66.6 billion in the 2018/19 financial year to Shs 4.62 billion in the 2019/20 financial year.” (URN – ‘Cabinet endorses Museveni’s donation budget’ 29.01.2019, link: https://www.monitor.co.ug/News/National/Cabinet-endorses-Museveni-donation-budget/688334-4956718-axn6arz/index.html).
This here is a direct show of money, that the state is preparing its war-chest and securing funds for the campaigns. That is what this seem like, as there is a movement and quick resolving the needs of the President, as he needs the mobility and ability to donate as he see fit. That is surely to ensure the needed funds for campaigns.
If I am wrong, please tell me, but I can securely say, as the NRM put out their Roadmap for the upcoming elections recently. The drive and the need for funds are there. The President needs to pay-off possible loyal MPs, Pastors, Bishops or whoever it is. To secure, the sympathy and continued chronic cronyism, which he has installed while being in power for over three decades. Peace.

That David Bahati had to speak out on the rise of Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Liberation Day/ NRM Day on the 26th January 2019 in Kabale. He like so many other NRM apologists and such is attacking Bobi Wine and message. They are doing the same to Bobi Wine, as the NRM has done for two decades against Dr. Kizza Besigye. Therefore, this is not a new trick.
He is in a long line of people mocking, judging and saying Bobi Wine doesn’t have it in him. Now, Bahati is telling the youth to shun and not join in. Like the NRM have delivered to the youth or even give what they need for their future. The NRM government haven’t delivered to the youth. That is well-known. Bahati should know this and really should been more apologetic about this.
Take a look:
“Bahati was speaking at the 33 NRM anniversary celebrations in Ndorwa West Kabale district on January 26. Specifically, he told them to shun the People Power group, headed by Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. “People Power is a minority in Kabale and if you choose to join them, you will be choosing a short term strategy,” he said” (…) ““Do not be diverted by self-seekers,” he told them” (Nakabuye, 2019).
What is really rich about this statement from the minister from the NRM, who is saying choosing Bobi Wine is a short-term strategy and calling him a self-seeker. This is happening on the same day, the President himself in his speech:
“I treat Uganda as if I was running my own family. I tell my children the truth, I can’t plan carefully for my family and plan carelessly for the rest of Uganda” (Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 26.01.2019).
When speaking of self-seeking, if you treat the Republic like family and run it like your own family. Than I understand, why Sam Kuteesa is around, why Janet Museveni is there, why such and such is working as Permanent Secretaries, which is all family members or kin. Because, the President is a self-seeking and hires his own family, making the government into family matters. That is not by default, but by choice.
Therefore, Bahati, telling Bobi Wine is a self-seeking individual at this point is rich. Especially, when it is known, that the boss of Bahati uses the Bank of Uganda as personal account and uses state funds as he sees fit. That is self-seeking and to own agenda, not for the betterment of the Republic. This is well-known and not rumours. Therefore, the Minister needs to pick other words.
Also, if they are speaking like this. That means they fear the ideals, the message and the position Bobi Wine has put himself into. Just like they feared and wondered how to contain Besigye. It is the same thing, but they are picking on him. Because, they need to put his mantle, while they are initially marketing his prospects even more. Peace.

I know that this should be a day of celebration. It is supposed to be, because there been a sort of peaceful transition in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In any fashion, that should be elevated and put a smirk on your face. However, with the instance of the 30th December 2018 Elections, there are to many open wounds and lack of transparent counting, announcing and also acceptance of the results from the Constitutional Court. To be able to throw the information away and forget it. That because of the lingering speculation of the inside deals between CACH and former President Joseph Kabila.
That is why I don’t celebrate the inauguration of Felix Tshisekedi on this 24th January 2019. Even if it as peaceful transition. Because it is a lie. It is a fraud. It is not a electoral victory. It is a pyrrhic victory. President Tshisekedi isn’t the first one with this issue. It is becoming a bit to common. That certain elections are like this, where the whole election are made to ensure a certain result and if not. There will be problems after, prolonged time for announcing the results and media/social media /internet blackout. While the Nation is awaiting the final results and plan the inauguration. This has happen so many places.
That is why Nelson Chamisa claimed to be the winner in 2018. He claimed to have won the popular vote and that the ruling regime had rigged the results in favour of Emmerson Mnangagwa. Therefore, the President could continue and we see today, what a party does with the guns against the people. As the Zimbabwean Ruling Party uses all tools to oppress, because they don’t respect the will of the people.
That is why Raila Odinga claimed to be the People’s President in 2017. As he claimed to have won and that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) rigged the Fresh Presidential Elections in 2017 so that President Uhuru Kenyatta could have his second term.
That is why Dr. Kizza Besigye in 2016 claimed to be the victor in the General Elections of 2016. This is after the famous Kiggundu Math of the Electoral Commission and sudden victory of the 5th Official Presidential Term of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (who I claim is on his seventh).
The same can be said about several other elections, where the opposition has claimed victory. Where they have been rigged away and been thrown in the wind. That is why the leaders can run wild. They can acts as they please, just paying of the ones who stands in their way. The leaders can use their ways, as they are rigged into power. They are just using the elections as a way to be legitimate, but not representing the public. That is a trick. They are tricking the world, using the ballots as a weapon. Not using it to represent them.
Therefore, Tshisekedi are now doing to Lamuka’s Presidential Candidate Martin Fayulu, what Kenyatta, Museveni did to their opposition. They have cheated the ones who could lead and run their republic on the trust of the people, not altered results to fit one paradigm.
So, when these leaders got that position on a lie, on a fake result and without being truly representative of the people. That is why they can live after the saying, Taxation without Representation. As they can tax the public, but not represent them. They can be a sort of colonial entity, who is within society and be the public, but in the end it will not represent the people. It takes it money, but doesn’t have to provide government programs. Other than some PR Stunts and Display of it, somehow. Because, they are only acting and not actually doing.
These leaders are doing it and will continue to be self-serving, they where selected in by any means. Rigging the ballots, rigging the Electoral Commission and ensuring one result to get them in. They didn’t get in by the means of the people, but by boiling/cooking the numbers to fit a prefixed narrative, where one person would carry the mantle.
So, when you celebrate Tshisekedi today, when you celebrated Kenyatta or Museveni. You celebrated a pyrrhic victory, you celebrated ghost ballots and algorithms, not the will of the people. Therefore, you can see how Kenyatta and Museveni govern. Don’t expect Tshisekedi to govern differently, he doesn’t represent the public, but the ones who got him there. The deals done in the chambers of power, not what the ballots did say on the 30th December 2018. Just like the 2017 and 2016 rigging did too.
So, please, celebrate, but if the thieving goes on. When the atrocities goes on. When the lack of good governance or transparency from the government. Expect it to continue and be rampant. As the leaders could rig themselves in power, they could take power without the need of people. Therefore, the leaders doesn’t need to serve them or develop it. They can just preoccupied with eating and being Big-Men.
Big-Men who are living by the simple paradigm of taxation without representation. Where the Big-Man lives above the public, where the Big-Man can do whatever and allowed to do, but will tax the public for everything. Because that is the power of the State. Peace.
