Opinion: Chinese authorities cannot rewrite the origin of COVID-19

“There has been no scientific or medical conclusion yet on the origin of Covid-19, as relevant tracing work is still under way” (…) “The name Covid-19 was chosen by the WHO for the purpose of making no connections between the virus and certain places or countries. The origin of a virus is a complicated, scientific issue. It should be left to scientists and doctors to find out through studies and research” (Chinese Embassy in the UK – ‘The Mail on Sunday published a letter from the Chinese Embassy in UK on its report on the origin of COVID-19’ 13.04.2020).

This here is not important in the scale of things. This virus could come from wherever and the end-game is still the same. We have have to all find the cure, the vaccine and medicine in general to defeat the Coronavirus or COVID-19. That is what is key, as the world is under lockdown, the nations are under state of emergency and so fourth. Not, like there are bigger fishes to fry. However, the Beijing government. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) can lie to their own citizens, but not to us!

The CCP and President Xi Jinping can lie all he wants in his own domain. He can block every single foreign journalists who dare to insult his intelligence. He can do so there, but he cannot go against the facts, that COVID-19 came from Wuhan in Hubei Province. It is maybe not a propaganda victory. It is not the cure for eternal youth, but its there. The Joint Report combined with WHO states so too. They did it together, but maybe the Chinese Ambassador was told to scrap this public report?

Who knows, but I will just quote two passages of this public report. Because, rewriting history at this level. Is outrageous. It is abysmal method of governing. Instead of manning up and take it on the chin. That is why your busy giving away all sorts of medical gear world-wide to patch the hurt right? Not just humanitarian, because the Chinese usually gives away with a hope of earning a fortune down the line. We have seen that with the Belt and Road Imitative. So, we don’t have to make that up.

Here’s the key passages in concern of origin:

“COVID-19 is a zoonotic virus. From phylogenetics analyses undertaken with available full genome sequences, bats appear to be the reservoir of COVID-19 virus, but the intermediate host(s) has not yet been identified. However, three important areas of work are already underway in China to inform our understanding of the zoonotic origin of this outbreak. These include early investigations of cases with symptom onset in Wuhan throughout December 2019, environmental sampling from the Huanan Wholesale Seafood Market and other area markets, and the collection of detailed records on the source and type of wildlife species sold at the Huanan market and the destination of those animals after the market was closed” (WHO-China Joint Mission, P8 2020,).

“Since the COVID-19 virus has a genome identity of 96% to a bat SARS-like coronavirus and 86%-92% to a pangolin SARS-like coronavirus, an animal source for COVID-19 is highly likely. This was corroborated by the high number of RT-PCR positive environmental samples taken from the Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan” (WHO-China Joint Mission, P: 34, 2020).

All the measures and test here sets the fixed mark towards one wet-market in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. It is not on the North Pole, neither anywhere else. This the WHO, who the ambassador was busy discrediting, which made a study together with Chinese scientists. So, not like it was busy-bodies, but their own who did it and traced it. Because, they needed that to be able to strike down efficiently against COVID-19. The ambassador and Chinese authorities maybe thinks people are stupid. However, they better do things correctly and they cannot win in their arguments. When its already out there and the joint operations has already been concluded. Stop. Kidding. Yourself. Peace.

Opinion: Illegal trade of pangolins is the cause of this pandemic

Who knew a mammal like pangolins would cause this much pain and suffering. The illegal wild-life traders in Asia would bring these to small locations in Wet-Markets, where they sell wild creatures from all over the globe. So, that the Chinese elites can eat wild animals, which is supposed to bring luck and healing. While they are in closed off locations, where the animal diseases are spreading between the animals and also onto people. This is how we gotten the COVID-19 or Coronavirus, which we know of today.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) writes this about the Pangolins: “These solitary, primarily nocturnal animals, are easily recognized by their full armor of scales. A startled pangolin will cover its head with its front legs, exposing its scales to any potential predator. If touched or grabbed it will roll up completely into a ball, while the sharp scales on the tail can be used to lash out. Also called scaly anteaters because of their preferred diet, pangolins are increasingly victims of illegal wildlife crime—mainly in Asia and in growing amounts in Africa—for their meat and scales” (WWF – ‘Pangolin’).

In February 2020, the National Geographic had this report: “In China, where pangolins are strictly protected too, the government allows certain clinics and hospitals to sell pangolin scales for medicinal purposes. As of 2016, some 200 Chinese pharmaceutical companies were also allowed to manufacture more than 60 products containing pangolin scales, according to the China Food and Drug Administration’s online database. Officials say scales for medicinal use are distributed from a government stockpile, but China has never clarified how large the country’s stockpile is or where the scales came from. As the Wildlife Justice Commission reports, the medicinal system is likely being used to launder illegally obtained African pangolin scales into China’s legal domestic market” (Rachel Nuwer – ‘Illegal trade in pangolins keeps growing as criminal networks expand’ 11.02.2020, National Geographic).

When you have an issue like this and there is scientist saying the first bearer of the virus hitting the world comes from this mammal. That the pangolins are the ones who first carried it and had it. This is happening because we take the wild-life out of its habitat and put them into wet-markets for sale. Selling wild-life like other commodities and for traditional medicine. Instead of actually having scientific effects of the matter. Where they are then exposing their illnesses to both other animals and human beings too. That is why we’re living through this issue today.

This here should be a lesson to not support illegal wild-life trading. Stop trading of wild-life and in general, if possible let the wild-life live in the habitat they comes from or even be part of their natural surrounding. Not being taken away for their scales or their meat. Which has happen, where they was transported, put into small environment and made it possible for the virus to spread. This the reality and that is why COVID-19 got spread to new areas.

This is not just a Chinese problem. Even if they are the ones with the Wet-Market and the tradition of using pangolins as medicinal. Still, the illegal traders, poachers and the whole chain of people still active. They are ensuring their next check and their profitable transaction, as they know perfectly well, there is big business is selling this mammal to China. The Chinese isn’t alone this, this is also a problem in Vietnam as well. Therefore, it is only becoming evident because the virus started in Wuhan, China.

This here is a warning about the danger of this life-style. The pangolins are not made or living for medicinal exploits, neither healthy to use it in this way. As it causes a pandemic. Which shows they should stay in their habitat and become a commodity. Since, becoming a commodity, they also become a dangerous. A danger the world is now facing.

We can ask ourselves, is it worth risking humanity over transferring wild-life like this? The answer should be no. Not because we’re all green or climate change activists or all the above. However, because we care about the environment and out own well-being. Also, that the nature should run its course and we shouldn’t interfere with it, unless we know the consequences of our actions.

So, we now know what happens … and therefore, should stop the trading of pangolins, indefinitely. Peace.

Opinion: CS Balala, the proof of a person forgetting that he is serving the people, not the President!

CS Najib Balala, the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism in the Kenyan Government. Have shown the world today what it means to be arrogant and entitled to his position. CS Balala has shown the world, that asking for good governance and accountability is important. Because his Ministry have lacked both and haven’t delivered. Since lately the proof of the death rhinos after moving them. Have shown what the state have forgotten, not only the lack of value of wildlife, but of the added-value the Tourism industry have with these animals. If the government cares about producing jobs and want a vibrant tourism industry. Noting is more valuable than wildlife and nature. You don’t travel to Mombasa to see Clean Coal Plant, you go there to see a beautiful coastline and you don’t cross the Masai Mara to see dead bird, but a green pasture of a beautiful scenery of Kenya. Which not only tourist deserves to see, but the Kenyans itself.

Balala should remember who he serves. The words he has said speaks power of who he are. Balala isn’t a man who steam confidence and control, but more of arrogance and bitter denial of the lack of work ethic. Look!

Balala, I don’t care who appointed you. You might have to work within the range of what the President gives you and his authority bounds you. However, the President is supposed to be the representative of the people. The same are the cabinet he appoints and works with him. The mandate of the government, is to work there on behalf of the people and their needs. Kenyatta have given him the job, but that doesn’t mean he can insult the public for wanting him to do his job and act accordingly.

Instead, he acted like a spoiled brat, who hasn’t understood his position and role in society. The CS is serving the public on their behest. That what an elected government are supposed to do. They are not there for own pocket, but as Representatives for them. Balala have forgotten this key aspect. Secondly, when he has failed his mandate as miserably as a CS, he has caused a lot of death of black rhinos on his watch. That will always stain his time in the office. If he cannot manage that, than he should leave it behind and go corporate. Where he can be the spoiled arrogant brat and no one will deny him that. However, he is in public office and that entails public perception and questioning of his behavior.

CS Balala catch some wisdom and knowledge, you need it and quickly, maybe even read up on what it means to be a representative of the people. Since, your thinking your are anointed by a King. Peace.
