IEBC: Joint Statement of Resignation (16.04.2018)

NASA Senators Joint Statement on removal of Moses Wetangula from the office of Minority Leader (10.04.2018)

A IEBC Mirage: Chiloba on leave again, but the system is still the same!

A mirage is a sort of optical illusion, a reflection of light that can trick the mind into interpreting the sight as an apparently solid thing. It makes sense, therefore, that the word mirage has its roots in the concept of vision. Mirage was borrowed into English at the dawn of the 19th century from the French verb mirer (“to look at”), which also gave us the word mirror. Mirer in turn derives from Latin mirari (“to wonder at”). Mirari is also the ancestor of the English words admire, miracle, and marvel, as well as the rare adjective mirific (meaning “marvelous”)” (Merriam-Webster – ‘Mirage’ 02.04.2018)

The Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC) announced today, that CEO Ezra Chiloba would be put on temporary leave after an internal review and report. This was a decision made by the Commissions Plenary Meeting on the 6th April 2018. Still, what is striking the reluctant attitude towards delivering any substance of reasons. This isn’t the first time the CEO Chiloba was put on this sort of leave, then he was chilling at a Hotel, while the Fresh Presidential Elections was on-going.

Not like the IEBC can be trusted, as the breaches, the server connected to Cambridge Analytica, the death of the ICT Manager Chris Msando, the tenders to OT Morpho for the fraud of BVR Equipment, combined with Safaricom and the ones already printing the ballots. The whole 2017 in the eyes of IEBC should be how to shatter all public trust in one institution. There was two rounds of Presidential Elections and none of them was trustworthy, because of all lacking performance of the IEBC. I don’t care if the Carter Center, American Ambassador or the IGAD/AU Mission praise the events.

The lack of respect for voter registration, the bounds of how many who could actually vote differed with times. The voter turnouts was extreme and abnormal, the evidence of corrupt forms and the lack of oversight was evident. As even parts of the political players gave-up following the IEBC and their inner-works, it was a shoddy display and lack of character. The display of ignorance and cooking the books was the mission of the IEBC. They worked so hard to make things official, but in the end. Only the naive or the ones paid to, would believe the numbers and the calculations. The 26th October 2017 and the 8th August Election 2017. Are two strikes of injustice done to the Kenyan people in favor of the Jubilee Party.

They can try to say, we are putting him on leave, so Chiloba can learn his lesson. But they have used that trick and it was all in vain. That because the system is made for rigging, because the political powers to be, want it rigged. Kenyatta and Ruto wanted it rigged and secured in their favor. They couldn’t care less about the will of the people. They are useful props in the Harris Media/Cambridge Analytica/PSCU messages and press releases. Rest of the time, they are just a hassle that comes with the job.

The IEBC cannot use the same mirage, the same trick twice, they did the same to him in October 2017. Now they are pulling the same plug in April 2018. Like we don’t know the IEBC is lying to us yet again. Because someone wants to push the agenda and make a forgery look real. It looks like Monet, but the brushes is not. It is a make believe, a copy and a fraud.

The IEBC has to work harder to be taken serious. We know they are a machinery to deliver the wanted results the Jubilee wants. To say something different would be taken as a fool. I prefer not to be, especially with knowledge of how these people rig the game. The end-game in favor of the rulers and policy makers.

The Chickengate brought down one part of the IEBC, but the not the part of the rigging, neither the part of suspect tenders and corporations ready to cook the books. So the IEBC got a lot of work to do and that does not involve playing tricks with society. Unless, that was the brightest idea Cambridge Analytica could come-up with. Peace.

The NASA Break-Up is Official Part II: Mudavadi says goodbye too!

Just as anticipated, but the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi is saying goodbye to Raila Odinga and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). This is happening the day after FORD-K leader Moses Wetang’ula said the same yesterday. They are both sounding like Raila’s Ex-Girlfriends. Instead of looking into their own failures, like career politicians they are blaming Odinga for his pact with Kenyatta.

While Mudavadi is a conning politician, he was riding the popularity and the shining sun in 2017. This while the National Super Alliance (NASA) was relevant and the ideas of political was worth it. Now, that the Canaan project is suspended and dead, the alliance is falling to pieces too. This not only because of the Kenyatta-Odinga pact, which Mudavadi ridiculed today. He should have a little more ice, because Odinga outsmarted the NASA Co-Principals after they betrayed him. That is all known, but still Mudavadi and Wetangula has acted with disrespect, while Odinga hasn’t retaliated.

I struggle to sympathy for someone says this sort of things in Church on a Sunday. Using his platform and space to attack Odinga, now that he isn’t a Co-Principal and saying “goodbye”.

Mudavadi is really following Wetang’ula, but it is not grown. Neither unexpected, since this was in cards. That Mudavadi would retaliate was to be expected, even if he feels sour about the pact. He should look into his own inaction, when Odinga needed it the most, when he was swearing-in on the 30th January 2018. When Mudavadi was busy scheming and finding ways of being opposition without any cost. That I don’t like the pact either by Odinga and Kenyatta, is another thing, but Mudavadi wish he was a part of it. Therefore, the dream of Canaan is super-dead today, even as Jesus has risen from the dead. But, that will not revive the dream of another Kenya right now. Unless, something changes and the elites not continue to eat.

The political class and dynasties has taken control again, left everyone else behind. That is why this is so infuriating. That the Odinga-Kenyatta families continues to control the politics and everyone else follow suit. That Wetang’ula and Mudavadi is now breaking from NASA. Is something that could be anticipated since the Swearing-In. They already showed lack of loyalty. That Odinga found a way out for himself and his party, also could be expected. Even if it would more of a legacy, if he had followed the course. Fought and continue to fight the system, instead of offering it legitimacy.

That Odinga lost Mudavadi and Wetang’ula, isn’t a direct big-loss now, since he has more to do with the Jubilee, than with them. He is more inclined to deliver within the parameters of the dialogue. Not be specific and save the disloyal Co-Principals. That is also understandable, even if the whole project of dialogue and talks is flawed. Because, it is only going skin-deep and not fixing the issues that gave the rigged government all powers.

That is why the opposition of Odinga-Kenyatta pact could now galvanize the public. But not that I believe these Co-Principals has it in them. There is need for fresh blood and not more of the old political scheming elite, whose only ways to eat. Not to deliver policies or direct changes of governance or respecting institutions. Mudavadi belongs in that bracket and always been fishing for someone to hook him up with some power. Now, Odinga has left him behind. Therefore, he can break-way, but not directly see his new path.

Mudavadi has to reinvent himself, he just looks like a fisherman trying to catch a fish, either by nets or by hooks. Certainly, not a good look. He looked for the long-con by ditching the Swearing-In and now has to find the short-con to find a way. That will not be Canaan, but something else. What that will be is most likely a way to fill his plate and have a fancy stake on the state reserves. Peace.

The NASA Break-Up is Official: Wetang’ula saying goodbye!

Today, it is official, the National Super Alliance is officially scrapped and the project is doomed. That has been known for a while, but be exact, the cracks was there. When the likes of Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. All of them was not to be seen at the Swearing-In of Raila Odinga as the President on the 30th January 2018. Therefore, the words of Wetangula today cannot be seen as sincere.

It is okay to see Wetangula is hurt, he has lost the post within the Senate to Orange Democratic Movement James Orengo. That must hurt his pride, but he himself bailed on the NASA project, when not showing up at Uhuru Park. The reason why Wetangula feels betrayed is that Odinga was able to outsmart him and make a deal with Kenyatta on the 9th March 2018. While leaving all the Co-Principals behind. I don’t blame, I don’t, but he shouldn’t talk about urination and feel to tricked.

Wetangula was part of trio under Odinga, who bailed him when he needed them the most. They didn’t stand behind in or even tried to show support. The ones that did that, ended either with loss of weapons license, deported or even detained while the NASA was seen as illegal group by the Ministry of Interior and CS Fred Matiangi. However, that is totally lost on the former Co-Principal.

Just as the talks of union between the parties of Mudavadi and Wetangula, the third one is busy re-branding his party. Therefore, the trio is trying to find their post-NASA now. They are seeking relevance. The way Wetangula is doing it, is by trying to tarnish Odinga. Yes, Odinga bought himself freedom and sold the cause. However, by the actions of the Co-Principals, they didn’t really believe in either. If they did, they would have reacted when the People’s Assemblies was suspended. When the deal was made and tried to find solutions. Instead, they have been following when it seemed profitable, but today, Wetangula seems determined to walk away from it all.

I don’t blame Wetangula, that he wasn’t part of the deal with Kenyatta, that none of the trio was a part of it. But Odinga didn’t really have these men support. When didn’t show up in need or really showing direct support. As the ODM are the biggest party in the coalition and the ones with the most to loose. Not, that Wetangula see that figure out in the coalition agreement. It seeming all about him and his post. That is why people are throwing shade his way. The humiliation of losing the position in the senate. Instead of wondering himself, if his own inaction shouldn’t cost for him too?

Not that I like that Odinga gave up Canaan for own self interests. But I don’t like hypocrites either. This is that, when Wetangula attacks Odinga and put the blame directly only on him. Without looking into the ones cracking the bottle, showing the true intent and gave way for Odinga to walk on his own. If the Co-Principals had been by him on the Swearing-In, while the bridges was burning and the risks was all time high. The coalition would have made sense, but after that. There was for each one of them to find their own. Since the sincerity of it all. Went down the drain with train with the lack of courage.

So now that the storm of the Swearing-In has gone, there is a months time since the handshake, the reality is that knives are now out. The lack of loyalty to cause is the reason. Many has given it up and the pipe-dream it all was. The Political Dynasties took again control and left the ones believing in good governance behind. Not that is Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka or Wetangula, because they didn’t have heart to stay in the storm. They didn’t leave harbor to find the angry sea to hard to cross.

Certainly, I could have been more apologetic, but in this case, its not worth it. They are trying to find ways to eat, without caring how well-rigged the recent elections was and how many who got hurt by the 26th October 2017 elections, neither how much interference by Cambridge Analytica, Harris Media and other companies hired by the Jubilee. To alter and fix the needed results the President needed. If the opposition leaders had worked on that and tried to find the truth. It would have made sense, but they are scheming to find the new path to a thicker pocket. It isn’t cute, it disgusting.

Now, the Co-Principals are putting the blame-game on Odinga. But first they should look into themeselves. Not because it is about Odinga, but because their own in-actions matters too. Peace.

Miguna Case goes bananas with the defenses from Matiangi, Kihalangwa and Boinnet!

Today, the three fellow dignitaries that was in-charge of deporting Miguna Miguna back to Canada for the Second showed up to Court. Not that it really mattered, because it is farce and the saga continues. They act still with contempt and the show of illegitimacy of their activity, the answers of the CS Fred Matiangi, the Immigration PS Gordon Kihalangwa and IGP Joseph Boinnet in Court wasn’t that flattering. Is is more an insult of natural intelligence. That is why isn’t worth noticing and showing to the world.

The Miguna scandal that is drawn out of proportion, is because of how its handled, what the state has done and how they acted upon it. Nothing has handled with care or after procedure. It has been less protocol and more ignorance is bliss. But the aftermath shows the indifference, that wolves are circling around the sheep. The eagles are flying over their prey, they are all waiting for the moment to strike. To hunt and to get their reward.

You can wonder what these gentlemen are out of this, what is stripes and their value for money. What did they get out of deporting Miguna for the second time? What was the purpose of the exercise, other than making Kenya looking foolish abroad? They certainly succeeded in doing that. Kudos, Matiang’i, Boinnet and Kihalangwa. You did it and deserves a token of success. Maybe a fake DVD will be sufficient?

The Courtship today was just a facade of forged play, it is an insult to the judiciary, who had dozens of Court Orders to bring him to Court and get justice for Miguna. But the state, these gentlemen deported him, they detained him on unknown location, they took him hostage and sent him on a plane. They have done that twice. They even made parts of JKIA M.I.A and that is special. Like Miguna was magician who could suddenly create all sorts of troubles with a passport, a phone and his hat.

With all finesse and attitude, the Kenyan Government needs to grow a pair, need to structure itself right and get a reality check. The balances and the ignorant state of affairs cannot continue. The contempt and the ignorance of the Courts, is the reason, that the Jubilee and their top-dogs are acting with impunity. They are not caring, but showing-up after the man is deported again. He is again a ghost in courts.

You can wonder if Miguna is the grandest thief, the biggest cartel boss of Kenya, even if he smuggled all sugar and drugs out of Somalia to run for governor of Nairobi last year. Because, surely there must be more valid reasons, more concerns and more underneath, if the three gentlemen would do this charade, unless they are three stooges of Kenyatta and Ruto. Who are playing forged games by Cambridge Analytica and trying to figure the pulse of Kenyans. To see if they care about a citizen losing citizenship and being deported. FYI: they do. They feel insulted and so should you.

This is not fun and games, this a sad reality. It should have been otherwise, but it isn’t. The State doesn’t give a damn, they are violently and aggressively taking their own. They are sending them away. Not giving in.

Miguna didn’t deserve this, neither did anyone else get the state sanctioned violence during the campaigns, the post-election from the police or the government. But they did, because they don’t really matter. Not like the President do, who has a motorcade passing Mombasa Road yesterday with 38 cars. Not all of Kenyans are that wealthy, they are kidnapped and lose their citizenship, because of your rule.

The world knows this now and your loyal minions are serving that will, taking away everything from the people who doesn’t matter to you. It is evident. Miguna is one of them, first of many, who knows who else will be kidnapped and taken away, lose their rights and lose their place in the Republic. Who knows?

Only Kenyatta and Ruto does, because they orders this mess. Peace.

The Launch of OKM: Trying to make Kalonzo relevant falls flat!

I think Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, the former leader of Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) and part of National Super Alliance (NASA), has today forgotten what happen in February 2018 after the abysmal performance of himself. Why do I say that, because the Ukambi Youth Forum and their leadership renounced him for his neglect and lack of leadership. They renounced him on the 24th February 2018, that they are standing behind Dr. Alfred N. Mutua. After my recogning, that is not Kalonzo.

So, reading that the Ukamabani Declaration and the start of a new Party out of the Kamba, is rare, considering that the Youth in the region isn’t his fans or supporters. They are already displeased with him and his leadership. Kalonzo Musyoka has already lost their faith and hard to restore after years of playing big, but delivering little. We can wonder if he will deliver anything new in One Kenya Movement (OKM).

Its a reason why Mutua didn’t attend today’s forum, where the new re-branded party was declared, as well as his didn’t intend to support his voice in a gathering made trying to revive the legacy of Kalonzo. Which this was, that is why he is trying a new and a fresh. Because he knows that his ways is tarnished, the youth of Ukambani is thwarted by his own in-actions. Even if he renames himself and become someone else, the in-actions and lack of trust.

How will this change with a name-change and Ukambani Declaration between fellow bedfellows? That is why they couldn’t even muster Mutua to the meeting. Surely, other local dignitaries didn’t appear or show attendance, because this is all just a ploy to make him matter again. Even if that is only happening locally. This not making Kalonzo nationally. Kalonzo is just consolidating himself and re-appearing as a local savior with a new logo and slogan, but not making him rising star.

That star dimmed and has been tarnished by recent issues from January and February 2018, where his true political tools was delivered and the framework presented wasn’t stunning, but more meager lack of willingness to stand-up in the midst of fire. He didn’t even try and tried with public PR failures. Therefore, he is trying again and it should be seen through. Not because he might mean well, if not he does whatever he can to salvage his career.

This is a PR Stunt, a Wiper event turned into OKM, just to make sure he staying relevant in the manners of politics, not that it was for all of Ukambani, because even Mutua wasn’t there. When his party wasn’t involved, surely others didn’t come too. Wonder if Kalonzo invited the Ukambani Youth Forum leaders, that has already thrown their weight in favor of Mutua? I doubt that, because that would humiliate Kalonzo and on this day. That couldn’t be the intention.

The intention was to make Kalonzo look like a king, look like a big-man and of importance, there it fell a bit flat. Because it only make him look hungry and starving for relevance. That is not a good look. Peace.

Opinion: Kenyatta’s bargain is Odinga’s loss, hence, the silence!

The Agreement and Handshake for “Building Bridges to a new Kenyan Nation” on the 9th March 2018. That after months of stalemate and long time heard the Jubilee Party and the two head honchos President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto. Both saying there was no need for dialogue with National Super Alliance nor their leader Raila Odinga. However, that suddenly changed and happen beneath the surface. This happen as the fractions in between NASA was shown, when the other NASA Co-Principals didn’t show-up at the Swearing-in on the 30th January 2018. Therefore, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Odinga Camp did what they could salvage the hurt. Even if that meant leaving Canaan all behind. That has been proven lately.

Canaan and real political change isn’t surfacing, the Jubilee, Kenyatta and Ruto got Odinga for a bargain. They got him for a silver coin and securing the opposition elite again. They revoked the harsh treatment for most of them, but they are still showing contempt of courts. Kenyatta has shown that since the handshake, that it doesn’t really matter. Odinga is still a fringe player, he thinks he is important, but surely the scenes on Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the recent days. Shows that him and the whole legal team of NASA is a charade. The Court Orders are meaningless, the Rule of Law is at injunction and the thwarted legal prescience is now the order of the day.

The political warfare is still there and vacuum isn’t sealed, as well as the PR stunts of the President is continuing. Just like he is a Cambridge Analytica and Harris Media made figurine, while praising the cartels and borrowing money to extend the business and partnership. Kenyatta doesn’t care, he has the army and the police, he can interfere in everyone’s life. Kenyatta can gazette and make differences that is needed. He don’t really need Odinga and with the handshake, he has the legitimacy now, because Odinga traded his cards.

Canaan is now gone, the whole dismantling the rigging machine, the whole electoral thieving and looting of Jubilee is now co-existing with NASA. Them both have traded away the current day-to-day struggles for a political bargain-chip. The Kenyan citizens has been fooled, the ones hoping for changes has been taken for granted. The ones who hoped for someone challenging and questioning the powers to be. Has now gone into the deal and handshake. Odinga and his bedfellows will all follow. Because it matters for today and tomorrow. They will not now scream “fire”, even if there is smoke. They will the flare appear and hope they are not inflicted. The pains are only hitting the lower classes, the ones whose voices are misused in elections, but left behind in the years after. Just like it has been forever and seemingly moves on.

Kenyatta, has no need of transformation or changes, he just needs the bills to be paid, the cartels to be sufficiently taken care of and the cronies in the court feed. It is still their time to eat and build bigger companies on the poverty of the nation. While having donors and others supplying fresh fiscal power and lending state loans at favorable rates. As long as the possible industry, export and the infrastructure projects can establish more loopholes to get wealth out off. This is going-on and now Odinga cannot be outspoken. That is why he is so silent on the Miguna Miguna scandal. Because he cannot say he sees “fire”, because the flare is only a lie to Kenyatta. Odinga is now indebted into Jubilee government and the National Assembly, which they rigged themselves into.

It is a house of cards, it was a risk, but the fruits are not there. It is just days ago there was hope for some. But all along, Kenyatta knew he got a bargain. The silence of Odinga proves it. The lack of real action or even push, shows it. The humiliation on JKIA proves it too. Orengo, Havi and the whole team couldn’t do anything. The orders from above courted Miguna out. They kicked him again. While the Co-Principals and the leadership has their Security Teams and their SUVs. Hope it taste good, eating, while the state is still sanctioning impunity. If you trespass on the values of greed of the State House. Expect the nuclear strikes, the vanishing powers and the extra-judicial killings will appear. They have never fled, as well as the PR Stunts of greeting on Golf-Courses and standing by Police Officers. Clearly, Kenyatta are acting as President, but he is not respecting rule of law. Not that he has too, nobody will questioning him now, that matters. Odinga is silenced, he has traded his message and his campaigns of Canaan for a few pieces of silver. That is shown and evident.

The fate of the weak, the poor and the ones that doesn’t matter, is not just left into oblivion. Not like Kenyatta needed their votes, he had electoral malpractice and the IEBC rigging in his favor. Needed does he need the people, they are not the ones paying his bills. That is foreign investors and money lenders. That is why he acts like he does. All fronts and no play.

The handshake was the same, a PR Stunt in favor of Kenyatta. While Odinga might looked like outfoxed the other Co-Principals in NASA. But they are fallen prey to conning political mischief to wise-guys within Jubilee. They all played the NASA head honcho Odinga, but we can wonder if he wanted to be played. That is unknown at this point, but what we do know. Is that NASA lost with this and cannot win now. Their chips has been used and their power-play is gone. Peace.

Hon. Zuleikha Juma Hassan MP letter to Hon. J.B. Muturi on “Re: Request for Bill to Amend the NHIF Act” (31.03.2018)

Trump’s Trade-War is now hitting East Africa: Because of possible lost trade with Second-Hand Clothes!

Museveni buying shoes in Wandegeya, 02.06.2017.

United States of America is really just cherry-picking the world right now, they are evolving into a beast and not an Uncle Sam. President Donald J. Trump don’t like to have friends, unless they are related or Roger Stone. That is now seen with his recent activity, not that he knows of these countries or these market. That I say, because he has no hotel or haven’t laundered money from there. The countries being hurt by his new policies are Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania. Places he would never travel to or have consideration about. That is because in his mind, they are shitholes, but as long as they serve as vassal states for the United States. Everything is fine and dandy.

What we are talking about is this:

(A) THE PRESIDENT IS AUTHORIZED TO DESIGNATE A SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN COUNTRY AS AN ELIGIBLE SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN COUNTRY IF THE PRESIDENT DETERMINES THAT THE COUNTRY (SEE NOTE*)

(1) (A country that) has established, or is making continual progress toward establishing–

(A) a market-based economy that protects private property rights, incorporates an open rules-based trading system, and minimises government interference in the economy through measures such as price controls, subsidies, and government ownership of economic assets” (AGOA – ‘AGOA Country Eligibility’).

It is special that the US President is using this against these three states on the imports of used-clothes and shoes. That these three republics trying to develop their own textile and clothes industry, to create work and also revamp the economies. That would mean, that people would also earn more money and spend more money. In the end buying foreign produced clothes on the fashion-lines, that usually are branding American and European brands. Therefore, I don’t understand why Trump suddenly acts like this, when Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania wants to secure their industries.

Because, it is not many days ago, since the President himself used rules and provisions to secure the Steel and Aluminum industry on his own soil. So, that the giant United States can control it, but their trading with other can be spoiled, because it doesn’t favor the President. Seems like double-standard to be. It is easy to muffle the poor and the ones with lack budgets, that are in need of donors. They need to stifle the demands of the powerful, but the ones with power can just use the same means themselves. Still, that doesn’t make it right.

That the United States are trying to force their used-clothes on Rwanda. Like they don’t deserve their own clothes industry and to secure better products, local designs and local textiles is insane. Why shouldn’t they strive for that? Why shouldn’t Uganda strive for their own Bata’s? What is wrong with Tanzanian made shoes? Nothing really, that should be supported, especially if the United States wants to think long-term and create better exports. They would earn even more on ordinary trade of clothes, not second-hand that sold bulk and through other channels. But I am sure that Trump has no knowledge of this or even could imagine it.

This is clearly a step of imperialism from United States, since they cannot stomach, that the partners and the ones getting donations through USAID. Isn’t accepting to be a bazaar for their used stuff. The products that is B-Level and already had their day in the sunshine.

Knowingly, how he is America First, the man himself should understand how others wants to build to their own industries, but thinking Trump has that capacity of thinking is overstepping and thinking that he could actually calculate, that others are sovereign too and not only his state. The East African Republic’s shouldn’t be punished for acting in their own interests over second-hand clothes. Neither second hand shoes. That is insulting and infuriating. If it was just charity and done out direct needs. It would make sense, but if your forcing bad products, because of own will for quick-profits and at the same time destroying local industries. I understand why Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda is trying to ban it and stop it. I respect that and stand behind it. Who wants a old T-Shirt, when you can buy a local-made?

If you buy a local-made, it would create a job for the one making it, the one designing it and the one selling, plus the distribution within the state. That is good business and create lots of job. These jobs create other jobs and funnel money in the system. So some of them will buy foreign design and clothes, that might even be American. That is how the United States should think, if they cared about a free-market narrative, but they are now planning to punish Rwanda and others, because they want to build-up own industry.

Trump is creating a trade-war over Second Hand Clothes.

Second Hand Clothes to East Africa!

Washington, DC – The President determined today the eligibility of Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda for trade preference benefits under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). In response to a petition filed by the U.S. used clothing industry in March 2017, the Administration initiated an out-of-cycle review of Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda’s AGOA eligibility regarding their decisions to phase in a ban on imports of used clothing and footwear. The review found that this import ban harms the U.S. used clothing industry and is inconsistent with AGOA beneficiary criteria for countries to eliminate barriers to U.S. trade and investment. Based on the results of the review, the President determined that Rwanda is not making sufficient progress toward the elimination of barriers to U.S. trade and investment, and therefore is out of compliance with eligibility requirements of AGOA. Consequently, the President notified Congress and the Government of Rwanda of his intent to suspend duty-free treatment for all AGOA-eligible apparel products from Rwanda in 60 days” (AGOA – ‘ President Trump Determines Trade Preference Program Eligibility For Rwanda, Tanzania, And Uganda’ 30.03.2018).

This is infuriating and not cool. AGOA should be used as a method to not destroy industry in the developing countries, but add revenue both ways. Now the United States is just using imperialism. Trade-War with East African Countries.

Trump is foolish and also, this is not gaining sympathy and the reasons for this. This isn’t adding and just show how belittling and narrow-minded he is. But that we knew, we just have to see who spanks him. Peace.
