Letter- “Re: Swearing-In of Kampala Elected Leaders” (20.05.2016)

Lord Mayor Lukwago on the 11th Day of House-Arrest; the Calvary continues with their unlawful arrests of the Opposition!

Another day in capitivity for an Opposition Leader in Uganda, the unlawful arrest of the Lord Mayor Kampala Erias Lukwago. NRM Regime continues to harass the Opposition and not let them go. Even if certain individuals are free, the freedom is still seens as unlawful and that is adjusted to make sure they are not to vibrant. The arrests have been to silence them and also stop them from mobilizing people around the Swearing-In ceremony of President Museveni; therefore the continued detaining the Opposition is just an assault of the Opposition. The reality is that the FDC is still not a legal unit, as the FDC Headquarter is under siege and even FDC President Gen. Mugisha Muntu was not allowed to enter the Headquarter. Therefore that Erias Lukwago are still under house-arrest proves how much the ruling regime, fear the legitimacy of them.
Lukwago Statement:
“11th DAY OF HOUSE ARREST. Finally our brothers, Hon. Ssemujju Nganda and Hon. Michael Kabaziguruka have been set free but there is no indication that these policemen are about to vacate my home. However, the psychological torture has today been somehow mitigated by my nieces, Asha Nkambo, Nkambo Aidah and Salma Nkambo, who have brought my ”grandchildren” to have lunch with the family. Have a blessed Sunday, dear friends” (Erias Lukwago, 15.05.2015).
I think that is enough for now. Peace.
Lord Mayor Lukwago on his Tenth Day under House-Arrest; As the UPF continues to siege his home!

As the Ugandan Authorities continues to violate all of the ordinary human-rights, as the Opposition like Lord Mayor have been house-arrest for days upon days, over the 48 hours without Charge and being served as the NRM tries to salvage whatever they can with their guns, Police Officers and the Army. While they think their smart with attacking the opposition and detaining them. They are looking more and more foolish. Thinking that they will be gone by the arresting and house-arresting them. But President Museveni has lost the plot and also lost his legitimacy; therefore he have to use the Police Force and Army to actually force himself on the Ugandan People. And that is weak-tea.
But let, Hon. Lord Mayor Lukwago, speak his peace!
Statement from Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago:
“10TH DAY OF HOUSE ARREST. Still grappling with the issue of illegal confinement at home, as well as the preposterous banishment of Dr. Besigye to Karamoja. But on the flip side, it’s been somehow refreshing, spending the whole day with my ailing mother, Hajat Salma Nakayaga, who gave me a surprise visit, all the way from our ancestral home in Kabungo, Kalungu. Have a blessed weekend, dear friends and put Dr. Besigye in your prayers” (Lukwago, 14.05.2016).
That’s enough for now. Peace.
Lord Mayor Lukwago on a unlawful House-Arrest for the 8 Day; while Museveni have a lavish celebration at Kololo!

The dark shaddow over the day is knowing that so many of Opposition is unlawfully detained and silenced as the giant feast is happening at Kololo. The country is diveded between the men and woman who lavishly have it all and the ones who doesn’t have basic rights even. Therefore the UCC and Government had to even ban Social Media and make the words of mouth silenced, though there ways of countering that.
Still, and still! The Lord Mayor are behind bars in his own home, still without charge or warrent, his words says it all. Take a look!

Statement by Erias Lukwago today:
“DAY 8 OF HOUSE ARREST. It’s certainly a day that will live in infamy. You cannot drag a young nation into a devastating 5 year guerrilla war and renege on the promise to restore a sustainable constitutional order that would guarantee orderly succession to power; bastardize the entire nation and turn it into a personal estate; organise sham elections and entrench a personal rule for 30 solid years; institutionalise a reign of terror, persecute and humiliate your political opponents, including your contemporaries like Dr. Besigye, Gen. Ssejusa, Gen. Muntu, Mbabazi etc; and then, majestically match to the Kololo independence grounds, stand by the graveyard where the remains of Yusuf Lule and Ignatius Musaazi were interred and proclaim that you derive inspiration from the likes of Mugabe, Nguema, Idris Debby, Santos, Biya etc. With all due respect, Sir, I wouldn’t attend that function even if I had not been incarcerated at home” (Luwkago, 12.05.2016).
