Opinion: When they don’t want to pin the assassins on the cross they point at the ADF

This a very common case and especially with the authorities in the Republic. After a high ranking or a public murders/assassinations. The Uganda Police Force (UPF) is showing up people charged and implicated in the cases. However, they are never sentenced or closing the cases. The murders or assassinations gets cold and the killers are on the loose.

That’s because the boda-boda assassinations are in on it and ordered to do it. They are well-trained and equipped to handle their mission. These have tracked and followed their victims. Therefore, they know their routes and routines. That’s why it’s easy to find a spot and time to make them stop.

This is how everything seems. The ones who becomes vocal or a worry of the state. Is just suddenly meeting their maker. The people who are doing it often or most likely are former Allied Defence Force (ADF) affiliates or combatants. That is what the UPF is saying after the fact and in the beginning of the spin.

It just happens to be a combatant with a funny nick-name and who has trespassed the Republic. Who happened to be engaged in local politics and had the knowledge of the high ranking officials. That was a big target and would a positive measure to create a public outcry. However, ADF is busy causing massacres and keeping their territory intact in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They are known for their vicious attacks and also massacres in Beni. Therefore, it takes a special character to always have enough combatants to kill unique targets inside Uganda.

That’s why you know the UPF is full of horse-shit. They are pulling a trick and thinking they can lie like this. Because, if they did investigate the assassins and find them. Than they could quickly find out who hired them and who ordered the murders. That would implicate some other people, which doesn’t want to be named or even be close to the blood. The bloodshed and the murders are supposed to happen in such a manner. That the general public are frightened and in fury. The ones fallen have a following and people know them. That’s why there is a need for answer, but the acts will quickly forgotten.

That’s what the state is playing along with. There is new cases and new assassinations. That happens before the old ones are solved. There been murders of woman in Entebbe. Muslim Clerics, high ranking officials and other extra judicial killings, which has never been answered. They are just fallen civilians without justice. Their lives haven’t been answered for and their demise is just in the unknown.

Still, time and time again the UPF is implicating some ADF combatants for these assassinations. It just happens that they are never captured or officially sentenced. That’s why it seems like a lot of smoke and very little action. The Police just telling stories, but not proving the cases… or showing any legit evidence.

That’s why we are not whiffed and neither should Gen. Wamala Katumba. He knows this perfectly well and his in the middle of this regime. The man who was so close to get killed, but lost his daughter and personal driver. Still, he knows this is nonsense. Because, these stories have been recycled so many times and its not funny anymore.

It is time for police to do actually policing. However, in these cases we know they are not willing to do so. Because, if they started on the leads and looked at the evidence. They could easily get to places they are not supposed too. That would tarnish their roles and possibility to even be appointed and be in the good graces of the system. This is why nothing ever really happens with this cases and it’s a continuation of these tragic affairs.

Murders and Assassinations gone cold and forgotten. Cases never solved and justice never served. That is the reality of this all. However, the same police has all resources in the world to collect, charge and detain political opponents of the state. Heck, they can pre-emptive arrest them at will. That shows their mismanaged priorities. While always claiming former ADF combatants are involved. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni’s own pigsty

After the assassination attempt on General Katumba Wamala this week. The President have again called the assassins or killers ‘pigs’ that he will hunt down. He has again promised leads and that they will be hunted down. However, we know the drill and know this will be a never ending story.

Just like other cases of the recent years. These deaths, murders and extra judicial killings will have no end. The state is sanctioning it and allowing it too happen. The murders of either high ranking officials and civil activists is happening on broad-day-light and the boda-boda assassins are trailing their victims before taking aiming at the target. Therefore, this isn’t new, but a well known play at this point.

If the ones deceased are boxers, party activists, party officials, members of parliament or even generals. If it is police officers or even high ranking state officials, everyone can be taken out by this measure. The men ordered with the hit-job dips easy out after the shots been made. They will not resurface until they have a new hit-job. That’s how these things are going and that’s why they are happening on semi-regular basis.

The state clearly knows about this. Since there is never anyone charged, indicted or put on trial. Only a few handful of subjects, subjugated to a disgraceful public display before allowed to return to “normal” life.

The President has created this insecurity and his thriving on it. He gets rid of his enemies or prospects of ambition. He incites fear and ensure loyalty to death. Everyone can become a target and he has a group loyally silencing anyone he likes. That is the power he has and enjoys it.

That’s why he uses the same rhetoric. The same baseless narrative and promises to crush things. Because, it is not like he can create or develop things. It is easier to deplete, annihilate and completely destroy.

This is why this is his dirty pigsty. The rotten game, old food, half-eaten bugger filled vegetables and smelly dirt filled with pig feces. The unbearable stench it was the President has created. He has ensured the pigs can roll, dip and move-on. They don’t need to value life and can kill. The amount of bullets doesn’t matter, as long as the ones they aim at dies. This is why they shot at the General’s car over 50 times week. Still, even with all those loads of bullet. They still couldn’t the General.

However, the same gentlemen and the same groups have succeeded in the past. Their missions have been successful. They have had missions complete. The ones who they sought got dropped and smoked. They got ghosted and their tally got registered. The ones who ordered the hit got their pay-off and they moved-on. The President called them ‘pigs’ and awaited the next prey.

Now, this is the game the state plays and its getting old. If these wasn’t men or people ordered by the high above. If it wasn’t untouchables. They would have been slaughtered and been taken in to custody. They wouldn’t be mass killers and gotten away with these senseless killings.

That is what’s happening and the President has created this pigsty. He is accepting and letting the pigs go wild. He is letting them stench up the place and leave the dead behind. It is tragic and devastating, but still a fact.

What remains is for this too stop, but don’t count on it. If it did stop. It would only be temporary until the President and his men finds new target to prey upon. Peace.

Opinion: Museveni will answer with fury but in the end only deliver hot-air

Just like today’s statement on calling the assassins on the boda-boda’s “pigs” in his recent statement. Is only a moment of fury for the online and the ones following reports. The crime that’s committed or the extra judicial killings happening in Bukoto today will not be solved by this.

President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni has done this several of times. Promised to find the culprits. Gone himself to the crime-scene. Showed his public and cried crocodile tears the vigil of the deceased. Promised the families gold, silver and retribution. However, not ever seems to happen and the dead, stays dead.

What President Museveni did today… was his stick. Name-Calling, promising action, but don’t anticipate a sincere investigation, criminal prosecution or anyone in connection getting caught. No, because if they investigated this. It might come to close to comfort and a brother like him doesn’t need that. He is already bickering about misuse of funds with his wife, sons and extended family. They have all their games and misgivings to earn fortunes on the state platter. He doesn’t need a additional crime syndicate investigation, which could be knocking on his door. No, that’s not happening.

Which is why he rather speak ill of the criminals and the hired guns. The hit-men or the assassins. They are the pigs that should get slaughtered and not the ones who was with today’s target. No, they should be punished. They didn’t even finish their job and left empty handed. Taken lives that wasn’t accounted for and in the same car as the supposed victim.

President Museveni knows this and we don’t believe his words. He knows perfectly well how many investigations, criminal cases and whatnot that is ice-cold. There is no leads or hope to resolving, as the culprits and the hired guns are in connection with high ranking officials, which cannot be implicated in any sort of fashion. They are untouchable and their orders, their regime and their ways of dealing with this has to be done in complete silence.

That’s why statements like today from Museveni is only done to score brownie points. Make it seems like he cares, though in the end. His just covering over the fact and hoping the assassins will get away. He needs them another day, if not his close associates does. They have the needs for these services and they are willing to comply. This is done in the clear implication of buying him time.

President Museveni knows this game and plays along. Taking everyone for fools. Everyone knows in secret that there are dark games at play at the State House. The President and his men can order killings and murders like others order coffee or a chai. That is just the mere reality and the men who does this for them. Is shielding them from any sort of legal jeopardy or any sort of harm. They are allowed to this and not paying a price for it.

He will not deliver the gentlemen on the boda-boda today. No, he needs them and their kind. They are vital for his business and the way he runs affairs. A man who masters death and who seals the fate of others. That is what he has made a career doing. President Museveni will not find them or get the authorities to find them. If he finds them. He has lost the men who carries out his dirty work and the President cannot do that. It costs him to much.

That’s why his trash talking and promises the heaven’s, but we know this will only be dealt with in hell. Peace.

Uganda: Ministry of Defence & Veterans Affairs – Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces – Shooting at the Vehicle of Hon Gen Edward Katumba Wamala (01.06.2021)

Gen. Wamala survived an assassination attempt earlier today

“BREAKING: Former Works and Transport Minister, Gen. Katumba Wamala and driver have been shot in Kisota. The driver has been confirmed dead, Gen. Katumba has been rushed to the hospital. Gen. Katumba Wamala’s daughter, Brenda has been confirmed dead in an assassination attempt on the General’s life. The car was shot seven times” (NBS Television, 01.06.2021)

“Along Kisota road where Gen Katumba Wamala’s daughter and driver was killed, there is a Police post barely a minute away. 3 Minutes away at Kisasi trading center there is a Police post” (Uganda Radio Network, 01.06.2021).

This isn’t shocking anymore, but just tragic. That unknown assailants on boda-boda’s came around the car of Gen. Wamala and shot at it. This has happened to other targets of the state. That has happened to deceased MP Ibrahim Abiriga, ASP Andrew Felix Kaweesi and others.

This is modus operandi of the state. Gen. Wamala is clearly a target of the big-men. Who knows what he did behind closed doors, but something went down. He was inaugurated as the UPDF MP in the 11^th Parliament.

Gen. Wamala have had several of roles in government. He has resided close to the chambers of power and with loyalty to the State House. Clearly he knows the game and seen how other have gone missing, taken out and lost their lives.

The General knows all of this and he was nearly assassinated today. He lost his daughter Brenda and his driver. There was seven shots towards the car. That says everything and shows how fickle power is.

Gen. Wamala is lucky to be alive. The other cases, which has ended in up in death have never been solved. The criminal cases and murder investigations have never ended up anywhere. The same will happen to this and the General will never know who killed his daughter. That got to hurt. He knows this, because there is no answer for Abiriga or Kaweesi. These are just cold cases, which is as cold as Penguins in the North Pole. There is now way we will know who ordered the boda-boda assassins and who had put a hit on the General.

That’s the double tragedy here. That not only is two more lives lost by means, which have been used before. Where big-men, staunch critics and people who dared to the question the powers to be. I don’t know what Gen. Wamala have done recently. Since his an UPDF MP and a leader of men. Therefore, something is up.

I don’t know who did it or what’s the motivation to do so. Clearly, there is some mischief and sinister happening behind closed doors. Someone operating with the boda-boda drivers who are killers too. Who are untouchable and able to run rampant. They are designated people who clearly is above law and can operate like this.

Gen. Wamala should worry. He was able to get away now, but that’s only on luck and not on merit. The two other deceased besides him is the proof of this. They shot at the car seven times and he survived. His in the hospital now, but it says a lot.

This is a continuation of other high ranking officials who has fallen prey to similar assassinations in the Republic. Which I have already mentioned. Therefore, Gen. Wamala would be another one of these and a victim of the same state he has supported. The General have thrived and lived large on the affairs of the state.

Nevertheless, it is still not righteous to die as a part of a assassination. This is a extra judicial killing and done without mercy. The men who ordered this should be investigated and the hired guns should answer for their crimes too. However, don’t expect anything to happen. It will become ice-cold quickly and only a few unlucky subjects will be on a photo-montage as possible boda-boda killers, but it will amount to nothing. Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu: Press Statement about the Burning of hte Omusinga’s Royal Residence in Kasese Town 28th January 2021 (28.01.2021)

Soon 4 Years since the Kasese Massacre: Some of King Mumbere’s Guards and Officials to be released… [still no real investigation into the matter]

“KASESE – The Government is to start releasing subjects and some of the officials of the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu who were arrested and jailed following the November 2016 security raid on the cultural institution. During the raid, security forces also picked the Rwenzururu king, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere. Sixteen security operatives and over 100 other subjects died in the incident” (John B. Thawite – ‘Govt to set Rwenzururu suspects free’ 21.11.2020, New Vision).

Since the 26^th November 2016 and the Kasese clashes the Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu Charles Wesley Mumbere have been in exile and charged with two counts of murder, which if he had been indicted and on trial for it. The King of the Rwenzururu could get prison for life. However, the King and his men who has been arrested in 2016. Have never gotten justice, neither all the people who died those pivotal days in Kasese and at the Buhikira Royal Place who was burned down as well.

The charge was put on the King on the 28^th November 2016. The case against have never been resolved and he has been put in exile ever since. Only allowed one visit to participate in a burial of his mother. Before having to return back to Kampala.

What is also striking about this, there was never any investigation into the murders and the mass-killings, as the Special Force Command and Flying Squad was participating in attacking the Royal Palace in October 2016. Like the state came with official numbers from 2016 was 62 deceased, but these other nunbers 70 identified dead, another 52 unidentified dead and 14 police officers dead. That is near double of what the says, which was 136 killed during the skirmishes.

The claimed they we’re going after the “Kirumiramutima” or “the Strong Hearted” a militia gathering in the area and soldiering up. Working together with the Kingdom. Alas, the reason for the sudden attack on the Palace and killing civilians. This taking lives of the Palace Guards and others in Kasese. However, what is sadly striking… is that this militia have never surfaced before or after the skirmishes of the state. It is seemingly on the state violence and their operation that created the deaths these days 4 years ago.

Still, there have been no investigation or look into the amount of killings. Only a dark and grim day of burring unidentified in a ceremony by clerical persons. Doing it while the army was monitoring the events. Therefore, we know the lives taken was quickly buried and hoped that no one question it.

While the King is charged with murder and has also charged with treason. There has never been any evidence of this. Neither has the militia the state claimed appeared and was dangerous haven’t been seen since the skirmishes four years ago. If that isn’t sign. Nothing really is.

That is why the state has to release these “suspects” because they are pulling things out of thin air. If there was anything. The state would have had a case and found them guilty of conspiring and doing criminal activity. Alas, that is not the case. The same should happen to the Obusinga as well. Since, they have no claim to hold him. Other than loosing their pride.

The ones that need to challenged and questioned for their actions in November 2016. Is the leadership of the SFC and the Flying Squad. This being Presidential Advisor on Security and former leader of the SFC Maj. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerubaga and army commander Gen. Elwelu who both was in-charge that day. However, these two gentlemen has since then promoted and not suffered any consequences over their actions. While the victims of it has faced the law with no proof. This is why they are getting released. The Kings Guard that was arrested shouldn’t only be released, but get punitive damages and get vindicated. Since, this was injustice and making them guilty before being innocent.

What happened in Kasese and the aftermath is the sort of act, which no Government with sense should do to their citizens. Alas, it did happen and went down, a tragedy and massacre. A state sponsored enterprise with no efforts or no investigation into how it did happen. As well as any indication or proof of the supposed intelligence to spark the attack on the Palace in the first place.

Therefore, the injustice and impunity of the state is so viable. The wounds are still fresh. This didn’t happen a decade ago. It just happened months after the previous election. It is therefore vital that this doesn’t go away, but is a reminder of what the state does to its own. How little life matters and little consequences there is taking lives. If it had consequences and had effects on the ones taking the lives in Kasese. They wouldn’t walk free and without any cases against them. These folks in the Flying Squad and Special Force Command wouldn’t be allowed to carry guns. They would be charged with murder and manslaughter themselves. However, that is not the case and it doesn’t seem to happen with this regime. They rather hope people forget and only hopes the families of the lost ones moves on in silence. Peace.

King Mumbere in Exile gets 14 days to visit his Kingdom just to bury his mother

Ever since November 2016, the Kasese killings, the fire of the Buhikira Royal Palace and the killings of several of the Rwenzururu Kingdoms Royal Guards by the Special Force Command and the Flying Squad. Ever since then, the Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu Charles Wesley Mumbere and 190 Royals Guards have awaited trial and sentencing.

Still, to this day, as the charges of terrorism and since January 2017 after a bail hearing, been living in exile in Kampala with restricted movement and conditions awaiting trial. Now for the last few days after his mother passing in Kasese. He had to go to trial to be allowed to enter his own Kingdom and be back in Kasese district, where the Kingdom of Rwenzururu reside. However, it’s been granted today. Nevertheless, we have seen how court orders have given way, but the Police have re-arrested a person on the fly a minute after.

This Court Order will not stop the Court Ship, nor the legal trouble of the King. Even as the state has promoted the leaders and commanders within the army, who attacked this kingdom and killed his kin. That is the sort of the leadership that is in Kampala these days, maybe some have forgotten that, but Gen. Elewu have gotten a raise and more responsibility after the acts done that in Kasese.

The Exiled King would only get a brief 14 days to visit his Kingdom, act ceremonial and bury his mother. The rest is going back to Kampala and living as a man charged with terrorism, but no pending trial nor proof of discovery on the matter. Therefore, his case is prolonged and his future is uncertain. As he lives in Buganda Kingdom, waiting to be allowed to rebuild and run his ceremonial kingdom in Kasese. This is the sort of nation the NRM has created.

The Exiled King will stay exiled for now. Not like if he returns and will get to stay. The President, the Special Force Command nor the leadership in Kampala is interested in that. They want to keep him away. That is what it seems, since they have not pinned him to the cross and they don’t want him to pay for their sins.

If they did, they would have done it already and figured out a way to cleans the hands of blood from their own. Peace.

Not Breaking News: The Supreme Court Validated the Age Limit Amendment today!

If you ever thought the Supreme Court would allow the appeal on the Age Limit or the abolishment of the Article 102(b) your wrong. The 1995 Constitution is a document that is to change, as the President see fit or as he is in need.

The ones that believed that the Supreme Court would dismiss it. The result 4 Judges to dismiss versus 3 to appeal. Seems more like trying to make it balanced, than it really is. Because, the judges could have just made it 7 to dismiss or even 6, maybe even 5. Since, the result is practically the same. Close, but no cigar.

There are nothing that is changed, only that all legal remedy before the General Election 2021 is gone. The road for the sole candidate of the National Resistance Movement. Nothing will stop him, yet again. Like it is child’s play, which it is. Because, everyone around him plays to his tune. The ones who doesn’t end behind bars for silly reasons like Besigye. That is just life in the republic.

Again, and again, all the remedy, all the legal and Parliamentary steps is taken to secure the Self-Styled dictatorship of the President. In the vision and way of Museveni. If you think it is brilliant. It is not, it is just misuse of state institutions and ensuring one man get everything.

This isn’t validating a constitution or rule of law. This is validating the Presidency and his cronies. There is nothing noble or justification of it. Except keeping the status quo and the misuse of the power, which the NRM and the ones around the President already does.

If you think the verdict of 18^th April 2019 is splendid and worth celebrating. Than celebrate the arrests of opposition members, the assaults on civil society organizations, political rallies ambushed, concerts blocked, journalists silenced, radios losing their licenses and everything else that is used to stop the opposition from organizing. It will only get worse, before it gets better.

For one reason, there is less and less reasons for Museveni to play around. He has everything and all laws is in hands. All the security organizations is following his memos and the Parliament is doing as directed. There is no one questioning or stopping him from doing what he says. Even if it failure and foolish.

Don’t anticipate this verdict to make things better. It won’t, it will just give the President all the reasons to continue his run. To continue his persistence of stealing, dealing and killing everyone else seeking office. Ensuring overpower and control. Giving no way. Just being him. There is no other way to look at it.

This is again, giving all the powers to the same man, that has run the republic since 26^th January 1986. We could joke, may even say Bosco is out of his mind. But he isn’t, his just using the Supreme Court, like he has used everything else for 3 decades.

He just got the final nudge, the final nail in the coffin. He has abolished the term limits, now he officiated the destruction of the age limit. Who knows what is next, but this man will do whatever it takes to be in power. To think otherwise, is a lie or you haven’t gotten the whole picture. If not you are naive and thinks this is a good. Which is not.

This is validating the corruption, the arrest of democracy and also the ability of others to compete. As it is yet another fixture ready for the victory of Team Museveni. Peace.

Age Limit: The value of the Life Presidency is now about two Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita!

What if I told you that, based on the incoming numbers from today’s reporting and last year. We can establish the certain cost of the Age Limit Bill and how much the National Resistance Movement (NRM) or the NRM MPs has cost in total. An amendment of the Constitution, which in purpose have given President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Life Presidency.

With that in mind, I have calculated what each of the NRM MPs have gotten in payment. As it first was the cost of Consultations and the total value of that, later I have taken the direct payment for passing the bill. So take a look!

Latest report on the payment:

“The first installment of Shs 40 million was paid before the amendment was passed in 2017 with another installment of Shs 100 million coming immediately after the passing of the Bill. The final installment of Shs 60 million was to be paid on November 30 last year. At the beginning of this week, the MPs received telephone calls from the leadership of the NRM Parliamentary caucus to go for the money but instead of the Shs 60 million, the MPs received Shs 45 million” (Kabuubi, 2019).

Lets do some calculations:

Each of the 317 Members of the NRM Caucus have gotten in total Shs. 85 million shillings or offered this, as it is reported. I will look at the whole sum for everyone, as it is to hectic to calculate the ones that didn’t receive it all, as they wanted the whole sum of Shs. 100 million, but the proof of cost is still up-to-date. As it shows how much the state anticipated to pay for the whole operation to the MPs in question.

So the sum for passing to date is about Shs. 85 million Ugandan shillings doesn’t say so much internationally, so if your using the foreign exchange today. Each MP would get in about $22,740 US Dollars. That is in both instances with the total fee, however, today, they got equlent about “only” $ 12,041 US Dollars or £9,415 Great British Pounds.

This is the payment done for the bill itself, but for the ones remembering back in time. This isn’t the first fee, these honourables got for doing so. The MPs got a consultation fee each. Which I stated like this in October 2018, when the MPs got Shs. 29 millions each for consulting their constituents.

To put the 29 million in perspective is about $ 8000 United States Dollars or £ 6000 Great British Pounds (With the exchange rate in October 2018). So it isThe whole cost of the consultation of the bill was $ 3,553.660 or about 3,5 million United States Dollar. That is the cost of the MPs consultations is equivalent of 13 billion Uganda Shillings or about 3,5 million US Dollars.

That was then, but now with the revelation, there are more money at play. Making the calculation more interesting. As the whole freaking project is getting under wraps. Because, we should calculate all the millions spent on these MPs, to prove the value of Life Presidency in the eyes of Bosco. As he sees this sums fit to give life to his dream of ruling until eternity. The $ 3,5m USD was premature. Since there was even the direct payments to the 317 NRM Caucus MPs. Which was revealed today.

With that in mind, lets do the Math:

Shs. 29m + Shs. 85m = Shs. 114m or $ 30,501 USD or even £ 23,844 GBP each.

That is what the MPs gotten each in Consultation Fees and Direct Payment. We should still look at the whole shindig. Therefore we have to look into how much Shs. 114m are times 317 MPs. That is about Shs. 36 billion or into $ 9,6m USD, or about £ 7,5m GBP.

To put that in perspective how much that really is. In Ugandan Perspective, it is as much as the Namugongo Museum Development Committee planned in 2016 to spend on Anglican Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo, as they would develop the museum, build a conference centre, guest house and a library.

To do another one, the value of the Age Limit bills as of today, it is about the value of two Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which is valued about $4.8m USD. Which is an upgrade, as in October last year, the value of the Age Limit was valued to one single Aston Martin. Which is fine itself, but a bit low, considering the value of the Presidency and its perks. The Presidency should cost more and be more expensive. This is still cheap, even if two Koenigsegg is a costly affair.

We should expect more, as we know how the prices on good players are in the Premier League, they are through the roof and a slot of the Presidency shouldn’t be sold for cheap, it should be some Gareth Bale, Christiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé or Neymar. The Ugandan President cost as much as the transfer of Nottingham Forrest Michael Antonio to West Ham in 2016, which in the schemes of things. Is nothing in comparison to the trade of Age Limit. The gift of extension of Presidency and being the Head of State, the Commander-in-Chief and so-on. That should be valued more.

Two fantastic Koeningsegg or a Championship transfer to the Premier League isn’t capturing the seriousness in the trade. To get the opportunity of becoming President for Life, should cost more. We all should agree on that. Peace.
