Opinion: The IEBC need to be destroyed and rebuilt!

Again, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are in the headlines, and not for the right reasons. They are posting a possible review of the 2017 Elections. However, that they will have any consequence that makes sense. Is most likely not, as the IEBC delivered what the Jubilee Party needed. This being the result that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto needed to continue in power. They got that and was able to settle it and ensure they still could eat. Even if the rigging was blatant and the obvious mismanagement from the IEBC.

Therefore, there been many Commissioners and leadership role of the IEBC whose left their offices. As they we’re questioning the leadership of CEO Ezra Chiloba or Chairman Wafula Chebukati. Both of them has acted questionably during the Fresh Presidential Elections and also in the first round too. Which was for various reasons even annulled by the Supreme Court and Court Justice David Maraga.

That is why today is surprising:

Connie Maina and Margaret Mwachanya, who announced their resignation from the electoral commission earlier this year, returned to their offices at Anniversary Towers in Nairobi on Friday” (…) ““They’ve been holed up in their respective offices since they arrived,” said the source. In April, IEBC vice chairperson Connie Maina and commissioners Margaret Mwachanya and Paul Kurgat said they had left the commission because they had no faith in the chairman’s leadership. Earlier this month, the High Court declared the resignation of the IEBC commissioners null and void” (Walter Menya – ‘Two commissioners return to IEBC offices’ 24.08.2018 link: https://www.nation.co.ke/news/Connie-Maina-Margaret-Mwachanya-at-IEBC/1056-4727216-x2d7v7/index.html).

Instead of opening the gates for the Commissioners whose done their duty to rig the elections. That are the ones who had no trouble to misuse the power, to fake results and fix tenders that made sense for Jubilee. That these are coming back are not building trust for the Electoral Commission, but instead making you think, that they are gearing up for another round.

The IEBC is already lacking trust within society as a whole. That is not just Chebukati, neither Chiloba. The IEBC was already questionable before the new leadership, as Ahmed Issack Hassan didn’t deliver anything better. All of the ones who is there is still the same con-men as in the past. Instead of reviving it, they are boasting it with the same-old, same-old.

The IEBC should be destroyed completely, the leadership should all resign and leave this job. Work somewhere else. As the trust in the whole unit is lacking. The Jubilee and the whole Parliament should try to revise the organization and even change the narrative. Because the ones that are there right now, are just conducting affairs like they are preparing to the next rigged affair.

Therefore, letting the same folks run it like they did in 2017. The review isn’t believable, as it isn’t an outside entity looking into the IEBC. But it is themselves investigating themselves. If they will find something, it will not change anything.

I doubt that the ones investigating internally want to bite of the hands that feeds themselves. That doesn’t make sense.

That is why the entering of these commissioners aren’t make change. Neither, prolonged suspension of Chiloba. Since the last lackeys of Jubilee is still lingering. So, they are just preparing for 2022 anyway. Peace.

IEBC: Press Statement on the Adoption of Internal Audit (24.08.2018)

Opinion: There is a 33 Percentage chance that DP Ruto was hurt by that IPSOS Survey!

The constant, perennial and unending headlines and opinion polls about me is sponsored by our competitors because they cannot match our development records” – Deputy President William Ruto

There are certain leaders that are afraid of their shadow, one of them is now apparently, Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto. Whose been by a Game Changers Survey by IPSOS saying that he is the most corrupt politician in the Republic with a 33 percentage margin.

What the same survey showed there was lack of believe that the corrupt legislators or politicians would be put behind bars as well, the total was only 17 %. That shows, they have reasonable answers for the survey, as the likeliness of that to happen is small anyway. However, I will be commenting on the numbers and the answers after from DP Ruto.

That because he is really defensive and hurt by the people’s feedback. He calls it work to hurt him. If he had delivered a development record, there would be stadiums and lack of growing corruption. That is what has surged, the growing debt, austerity measures from the IMF and growing corruption together. That is a record I wouldn’t smile about, but cry, because I did this to own people. The people I represent.

DP Ruto should consider what he has done in office, has his wealth has sky-rocketed, he has gotten more assets, companies and land. Ruto knows this and the Kenyans knows this too. The Game Changers Survey shows that people are clear whose the most corrupt in their eyes.

He should maybe be more transparent of his growing estates, his village project, his hotels, his newspapers and growing empire in general. As the former walking preacher is suddenly richer, than God. That should put the imagination on most of the public. Since the money-train started to pour-in as quickly as he gotten into power and became the side-kick of Uhuru Kenyatta. Before that, he didn’t own that much and therefore, he was lucky to switch from Odinga to Kenyatta for political and economical gain.

Ruto cannot think everyone is blind and not seeing this. That he can fetch the word and blow it back. Since his family isn’t of a political dynasty, neither of blue-blood or old elites whose owned the Republic. Therefore, the rise of wealth has been extravagant in all ways.

DP Ruto should suck it in and wonder if people wasn’t more skeptical as he can donate millions every weekend, while his salary isn’t close to the donations. Therefore, people know he has the hand in the cookie-jar and wonder how much he is eating. This was his time to eat and plans to continue. He just want people to blind to it.

That is not how it works. With the perks, comes the jerks and time for him to go public and ask for forgiveness for his thieving. Not just go church and lie for what it is worth. Peace.

EACC: Arrest of Member of Parliament for Embakasi North Hon. James Mwangi Gakuya and Three Others (22.08.2018)

Opinion: Why do DP Ruto admire Museveni? – Does he know who he supports?

I am a great supporter of Museveni. Much as Museveni is the president in Uganda, his heart is in the region. His experience is invaluable” (…) “Museveni is our father in the region. He’s very clear on matters of East Africa. I hope Museveni, Uhuru, and other regional leaders can provide us with that opportunity of a Political Federation of EAC” – Deputy President William Ruto at the Young Achievers Awards in Kampala, 18.08.2018).

I am just amazed, that this is happening in the days of detentions, arrests, torture and scandal of epic proportions. That the Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto is professing his admiration and fandom over such a tyrant. That Ruto is saying he is a great supporter of Museveni now. Just show how political savvy the man is, but also how little he cares for human rights, justice and rule of law. Not that its shocking, as he himself has attacked the courts, had no problems using the police and army against the public after the Fresh Presidential Election in 2017. Therefore, Ruto has shown his lack of compassion already.

Ruto is the hustler, the land-grabber and the wealth creator for himself. That is why he has village for himself, a farm and dozens of properties. That is why he owns a newspaper, television and whatnot of corporations. Who needs to run businesses, when you can take it all as a politician. That is why he is in government and not in the private sector. Because where else would he gets such vast wealth and so quick.

That is maybe why he looks up to Museveni, who went from being a poor-man with very little, until stealing the kingdom and taking the republic as hostage. Now he can torture, kill and arrest the civilians, the MPs and the ones who are trespassing on his road. Ruto should know this, he should be able to follow the political landscape of Uganda. As it is just across from Busia. We can wonder if he has turned a blind eye, and doesn’t care about the oppression there. Because that just happens to Ugandans and in his eyes, they are not his electorate. So why care?

You can wonder if DP Ruto wants the same militarism, the same junta government and the same lack of tolerance for other views. That is what is happening across the borders. Museveni is showing again and again, how he uses the Special Force Command or the Presidential Guards for a political bargain. Just like he did last year within Parliament. To get his will and his way, to become President and tyrant for life. That is the reality.

So it is weird, but also a worry, that DP Ruto praises this, because if William would get power in Kenya, would he use the same force and the same will to take control of Eldoret and Nairobi? As Museveni has done in Arua and Kampala?

I don’t know where he stands on all matter. But what I do know, is that DP Ruto is conning and will use any opportunity for a political gain. To say otherwise, is to be oblivious to his kind and character. The former walking pastor, the now hustler, will use all tricks in the books to gain advantage. I can wonder why he does this or if this for the long-con. Whatever it is, it is not the time or place to place his support for Museveni. He is showing his misuse of power and hurt towards his own citizens.

DP Ruto should know better, but maybe he has a dream of becoming a dictator and tyrant himself. Peace.

Kenya: Statement to Newsroom Concerning Allegations of Bribery within the Precincts of Parliament (11.08.2018)

Kenya: Press Statement on Demolition of structures and property built on the Riparian Land (10.08.2018)

Democracy dies on the altar of Stability!

“the crisis of democracy” as when normally passive and apathetic populations become organized and seek to enter the political arena to pursue their interests and demands, threatening stability and order.”Noam Chomsky

I know, this is our time paradigm and it isn’t a shift of policy, just a ignorance of the mere fact that dictatorships and totalitarian affairs gets to linger, because the international stakeholders rather see stability and military efforts to control the population, instead of a tolerant and transparent democracy. That is just the mere reality, it isn’t fiction.

This happens again and again, it rebounds and recharge after every contested and questionable election. Now in Zimbabwe, previously in Kenya last year and in Uganda the year before. It doesn’t matter if the head of state rigged themselves in and used the army to silence the population after. As long as they are stable and loot their nations at a steady pace. It isn’t happening on our shores, so why should the international stakeholders suffer and make the public lose faith in the institutions. They are moving forward and showing some signs of democratic values, even as belittling as letting them have a rally or two without interference of the police.

Therefore, this get boring as this sort of play get back-to-back, no return and steady road without any redemption. Only more of the same old suffering and toils in the midst of oppression. We see no salvation and not turn of events, where the mere factors changes. It is just the same old story with new names and new charges put on opposition leaders.

If not there will be ‘Unity Governments’ where the loser reign supreme and the winner begs for breadcrumbs, where the rigging master get the head of state and military, while the real winner get meaningless positions and a title not even worth the print of ink. It is just a mere puppet show the façade to look beautiful, while the population and the ones who govern knows it is just a play. They could be shooting a movie and not run a government, because this is just nonsense. They all know it, but they have to secure donor funding and legitimacy.

This is the sort of game we play, we return to it, as the opposition is tarnished, called terrorists and hooligans, while the democratic playing field is shrinking and no one seems to care. Unless, you’re the President and you’re the VPs bitch, because you cannot pressure the VP or the army, since they hired you to be the head of state. That is why Mnangagwa will speak of tolerance and unity, but will not challenge any solider killing innocent civilians, than he plays against the ones who hired him.

The army will hold Kenyatta in force too, and they did with their assaults on the public after the Fresh Presidential Elections, as the did their duty in Kisumu and Kibera. They really went ahead with violence and killed civilians. Just like the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) did after the 2016 in Kampala and elsewhere to prove their majesty, his excellency Museveni all power.

Therefore, this game is getting old and stale, where the ruling regime is eating of the plate, taking it all and only leaving pain for the majority. It isn’t funny, but the same old play we have seen before and no one seems to really care. They accept this and doesn’t really challenge it. They are putting out statements: We condemn. But a few minutes later, they will not do anything about it.

We are just moving in circles and it isn’t funny. Democracy is dying and it does it on the temple of stability. What is the value of stability, if the elite eats 99 % and the 99 % eats the 1 %. It is worthless, as worthless as these “elections”, where the handpicked Gentlemen are doing as they please and has no consequence. Seriously, what value does it add? Other than for some empty headed businessmen who eats of the electoral tenders. Very little are to gain for the society or the stakeholders. Just buying legitimacy and race to the supreme.

Just getting tired of this scheme, of this race and of these sort of play. It is time to get serious and engage properly, respect the ballot and the will of the people. Not just use that election for the little regard regime so they can stay afloat for another term. That isn’t cool, screw stability, when it only leads to power-vacuum and a more intolerant society afterwards. Peace.

CS Najib Balala: Gazettement for the Appointments of Kenya Wildlife Service Board of Trustees (31.07.2018)

Opinion: CS Balala, the proof of a person forgetting that he is serving the people, not the President!

CS Najib Balala, the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism in the Kenyan Government. Have shown the world today what it means to be arrogant and entitled to his position. CS Balala has shown the world, that asking for good governance and accountability is important. Because his Ministry have lacked both and haven’t delivered. Since lately the proof of the death rhinos after moving them. Have shown what the state have forgotten, not only the lack of value of wildlife, but of the added-value the Tourism industry have with these animals. If the government cares about producing jobs and want a vibrant tourism industry. Noting is more valuable than wildlife and nature. You don’t travel to Mombasa to see Clean Coal Plant, you go there to see a beautiful coastline and you don’t cross the Masai Mara to see dead bird, but a green pasture of a beautiful scenery of Kenya. Which not only tourist deserves to see, but the Kenyans itself.

Balala should remember who he serves. The words he has said speaks power of who he are. Balala isn’t a man who steam confidence and control, but more of arrogance and bitter denial of the lack of work ethic. Look!

Balala at Press Conference Today:

In my leadership I am going to be right and not nice. In the case of the rhinos, I am going to stand with what is right. Nobody has appointed me, its President Uhuru Kenyatta who appointed me, so they can go to hell,” said the CS” (…) “They are doing that because they want to take over the parks and start using emotions of international people to raise funds for their unaccountable lifestyle but I am going to stop them,” said the CS (Erick Kombo Ndubi – ‘You can go to hell, I am not resigning’ 30.07.2018, link https://www.tuko.co.ke/281215-you-i-resigning-cs-najib-balala.html#281215).

Balala, I don’t care who appointed you. You might have to work within the range of what the President gives you and his authority bounds you. However, the President is supposed to be the representative of the people. The same are the cabinet he appoints and works with him. The mandate of the government, is to work there on behalf of the people and their needs. Kenyatta have given him the job, but that doesn’t mean he can insult the public for wanting him to do his job and act accordingly.

Instead, he acted like a spoiled brat, who hasn’t understood his position and role in society. The CS is serving the public on their behest. That what an elected government are supposed to do. They are not there for own pocket, but as Representatives for them. Balala have forgotten this key aspect. Secondly, when he has failed his mandate as miserably as a CS, he has caused a lot of death of black rhinos on his watch. That will always stain his time in the office. If he cannot manage that, than he should leave it behind and go corporate. Where he can be the spoiled arrogant brat and no one will deny him that. However, he is in public office and that entails public perception and questioning of his behavior.

CS Balala catch some wisdom and knowledge, you need it and quickly, maybe even read up on what it means to be a representative of the people. Since, your thinking your are anointed by a King. Peace.
